bro, it a experience I will not like to happen to any one.
meet this lady on a transit to a local government in where I base,everything when smooth throughout the journey,we get to exchange contact.
Unknowing to me she was weeks pregnant for her boyfriend or husband,things go good with us,good character,kind,sweet,everything was just too good.
Two months into what ever I should call it, she say she was pregnant for me that's was when it occur to me that men!,I need to settle down, omo boi don see wife material na,we then went for test and everything for I have heard alot of story from friends for every frist born child, man need to know the truth before you train another man pikin. sha it happens that she was already pregnant before we even meet.
Never saw her again since the day we departed from the hospital after the scan and everything.
Na oluwa save my head oooo.
2020 covid made me job hunting again,
I was no like "I for hear am for this life".

Need advise from the gurus in the house.

Will there be a structural concern if the design of the rooms/flats on the first floor in a story building is different from the ones on the ground floor. In the current design, I have 1no 2bed, 2no 1bed and a self contain. I intend to eliminate the external staircase that is supposed to lead to the 2bed on the first floor so all the tenants living on the first floor access their flats using the in-door staircase. Plan to have a balcony extension to provide access for the 2bed & 1bed flat.

I have also attached the floor plan for assessment.

Ground floor has been completed and original design for both floors are same.

A good architect should have made it an inside staircase except where the Client said otherwise. Changing the position of staircase will cause you to redesign.

Well, you said it right. What kill my mood was restrain in helping. So, even if it was a matter of life & death to him or any artisan, is now a lesson never to render the help. He has used his mischief to refrain others or any one who might be in dire need of help.

Wonders shall never end.
Let me drop this one here that had emotional turn on me.
There is/was this plumber that the Client brought to site. He had been working for him way back before i met the Client. So, after working for more than two weeks, he requested me to help him with 90% of his balance so as to clear landlord matter at home. One thing i always do is having a good relationship with people i met especially lower cadre irrespective of my class.
I told him that wasnt a problem if only he will finish the work and do it well. I had to help him since he stays in the vicinity of my client and because my client had referred him several times, so i resolved to helping him and even top it up self.

The following day that i went to site, he began to tell me he need to go home that is long he saw his family. From a good heart, i told him to wait till weekend. That he will go by weekend and must return on monday morning.
When this guy left on that weekend, that was just the end of seeing him on site. He had only laid external pipes, he had not fix any fitting inside ( an apartment of 8 toilets, 4 kitchens). It was the Client that called me to ask after because he saw him gyrating on bike.
When i called him, he began to say his neighbour was hospitalised, all sorts of nonsense. I had to call another plumber who billed me afresh when the Client was on me. My Client didnt even mind checking him at home whereas i offered to help because he was a boy to him.

Now, both of them have reconciled but myself and my Client are yet to come to term.

If this is not too late, the dream means widowhood as your girl has rightly interpret it. I will advise both of you engage in spiritual exercise to clear and negate the evil scenes. Involve yourself in serious spiritual exercises, fasting, praying etc until you get a clear and peace giving revelation from God before any preparation.

2) Reinforcement

A. Ring 10mm ----- 50 pcs.( there were leftovers)

B. 12mm for slab ---- 270 pcs (3 tons).

C. 16mm for beams ---- 48 pcs ( 1 ton +)

3. Concrete work

A. Cement --- 162 bags.

B. Granite---- 45tons

C. Sand 30 tons.

Other materials were quoted but i could not ascertain the quantity used.

Conduit pipe

A blessed monday to you all.

I have decided to give the breakdown of the materials used for a decking i supervised a fortnight ago to help those intending to build theirs to have idea of what to have. The length & breadth are 12.150m by 15.45m which translate to 41ft by 51 ft. Below is the Upper floor design.

Is the setback rule the same for ground floor and upper floors? Or upper floors can be slightly lesser. Say 3m for ground floor and between 1m to 3m for upper floors?

Sorry for the late response.

Setback only applies to ground floor when building on a plot. But when it comes to half plot, one side will be 3m and the other side 1.5m, cantilever is only allow one the side with 3m setback at ground floor.

1.) it is from the DPC level.
2.) there are about 18 columns, the kitchen has about 6, 3 at either sides. the reason i asked is that people don't talk much about it on NL.

1) That should be differential settlement. Break that part and install a column there.

2) In one of my built last year (a duplex), our tank was positioned in the roof.
