A similar issue to this is that of Guest bedroom. Some think it should be accessed from the Living room, others think it should be from the Ante room thereby blocking the room from the main house. My question now is " what should be the right practice?"

Actually, the two have pros and cons and say is with the client. Some will decide to have it outside because they cannot contain visitors entering toilet or running to the toilet in their presence, take for instance, opposite sex in with a disturbing stomach. Also, toilet opening to the sitting room is a "no no" for some maybe because of how some will eject the toilet, smells etc. While some category will want to see how goes in and out etc. In this case, the decision is most likely with the client.
Furthermore, the design determines. There are some designs that is so space constrained that you only have one side to fix it, either outside or inside. There are designs too whereby the service wall and the sitting arrangement makes occupants back the vis toilet. In this latter scenario, i will have the door inside.

Put it INSIDE, it is a Toilet for YOUR Guest, not some random passer-by!
What is the door doing OUTSIDE, when the guest that will use it are already INSIDE your house?
Moreover, the more door access you have OUTSIDE, the costlier it is to secure them and the riskier your overall security becomes.

I dont know what @ArcToyin is thinking with his comment about "where do you want him to put it"?
That sort of statement should never come from an Architect because l am sure their training involves safety, security as well as aesthetics in building design. Is the "Bricklayer" not supposed to stick to the Arch-design of his Client?
Or is the Bricklayer and ArcToyin one and the same person? (Na serious joke sha )

Maybe you didn't read my comment on the post, i suggested having it inside. I raised the question because she was not satisfy with my response and the position of the door. The door can also be put outside if that is what she is thinking then i will now explain to her the negatives of it. This similar situation has been dictated by clients umpteen times. Some wanted it outside while some inside some don't want it at all while some will never take a design without it.

The engineer changed the plan, brought the guest toilet out and some crazy adjustments.. Do you think it is right for guest toilet door to be outside?

On the average of 2500 blocks. The position of the guest toilet is not a bad one. You are good to go with the plan.

The plan is okay. Increase the window width of the Kitchen of the flats. It is also essential bedrooms have cross ventilation.

I want to reroof it by adding some blocks, pillars, then either metocopo or stone tiles.
The project will cost millions but I was advised by some friends to wait until the dry season.
My fear is that I may spend a part of the money if I wait that long ( I'm a family man).

Both are good.
Outside estate challenge is omo onile wahala, if you are able to scale through that, nothing else. The land cost of outside estate is very cheap compared to those of Estates even in the same region. In Estates, you are able to enjoy infrastructural facilities, security is guaranteed too. Outside Estate, you pay less on annual due( developmental dues, maintainace, security etc).
