Politics › Re: Security Agents Take Over Kano Major Streets As 1-Week Lockkdown Begins by Area4Area: 8:30am On Apr 17, 2020
swtdrms:
Why do we continue to have fools always thinking with their anvs and not their brains? For how much would they declare lockdown? For how much? 1b or what? If you and your generation only think about money in times of trouble, then lucky you, you'll surely die running after such money.

We have health emergency, Saudi shuts down Kaaba, Pope did easter service in an empty Vatican, government world over is thinking of how to contain this emergency, the only think you could think about is....they want to loot money with covid19.

Let's even assume u re correct, then Kano gov't wouldn't have waited this long before declaring lockdown. Everyone had been telling kano to lockdown long before now which they refuse, Kano should have locked down 2weeks ago and not now. So someone who wants to make money will still wait 2weeks before making such money? Your case is worse than that of Donald Trump.

To my fellow sensible friends, the challenge is how to sustain in this period, Its obvious we don't know how long it'll take. From the look of things, even after this two weeks, there'll be more lockdown because this shit isn't getting away so soon. World economy has crashed, importations stopped, even food....i wonder how farmers will cope in this period. Let's start thinking of evolving alternative economies. If you have a business start thinking of taking the business online because that's the only way out now
You spoke well, some actually reason with their anvs, to them everything is a joke. Kano and other states and other countries round the world that decided to go on a lockdown are doing it because of an imaginary money they've not seen, nonsense.
Your last paragraph is perfectly in order

Igbo influence in Port Harcourt remains and has been a fact of life right from the very beginnings of the city! This influence stems from the indigenous Ikwerre population as well as Igbos from other parts of Igboland living and working in Port Harcourt!

As to whether Port Harcourt is Igboland; that is down to the indigenous owners of the land, the Ikwerre! But it's worthy of note that any denials of Igboness by the Ikwerre began AFTER the uncivil war, and with the active connivance, encouragement and outright threats from Igbo haters that controlled power at the centre at the time....Igbo haters no different from you in character, bile and animosity!
We really do not understand how else to tell you attaché by force to Ikwerre to leave them alone, na by force? Their prominent leaders had said it several times but you still insist.

The US, Australia, Canada etc had so much influence from the UK but along the way they've all carved out their identity, why are the Brits not trying to claim them to be British?

Always blaming others for the predicaments of the Igbos today but would never want to talk or admit the mistakes the Igbos made as well.

You guys would continue to cry till thy kingdom come

They gave the Yoruba name too? Which means yorobers prepare it too. Ewedu has no name in Igbo neither does gbegs
The other day I caught my Yoruba neighbor saying: oGBolo no dy sweet as I'm dy sweet for before before o..I laughed.. You can't deny you eat the soup weekly infact you love the under pot at least it's good looking, not prepared with broom sticks nor is it greeny like ewedu. Its even eaten across southern states... Have you finished your gbegiri soup?
Fact is this, you have your equivalent of the hydraulic soup you accuse others of, that's all that matters.

This is the second time in 1 week that you’re opening such a thread. The other time, you deliberately filled your post with pictures from Bundu and other slums. Today, you’re deliberately posting pictures of only the dilapidated roofs of Diobu as well as other archaic places. Show the bad and the good Mr Chino.

Kip kwayet please, the guy didn't even snap pictures of the beautiful areas in the city if it's aesthetics that you want, he was only showing normally busy areas with traffic but no traffic now.

U sound so stup1d though I dont support Biafra this is a stup1d analogy.

So Chinese people don't own houses in Nigeria?

Or no foreigner owns a house in Nigeria.
Have you read about the alien land act of Nigeria, please google it and read up.
A Chinese or any foreigner can have a piece of land but must be registered as corporate and not private, meaning it can't be used as a private property but as offices or factory.

In the event of a Biafran split, Biafrans would have to negotiate with the Nigerian government if they want their factories back and that is now under the FG's discretion to give you back or not. Of course, you'd have gotten your passport and visa from the Nigerian embassy before coming into Nigeria to beg and would definitely be arrested if caught without it.

Nairaland is one of the places where we know children from good homes and that are well trained by their parents, they don't just insult before making their point

In the event of any war that involves Biafra again splitting from Nigeria, Igbos will be forced to abadon all their investments in the south, north and west and return home. their investments will be considered as spoils from the war. That's standard war precedence. No be me set am. It's the Nigerian govt that will even claim them not indigenes. I think you should be more concerned with Lagos. You guys have investments there in millions of excessess not Port Harcourt where you married some of our sisters and have blood ties.
The law supporting the seizure has been in operation since in the country, most IPOBians and Igbos don't know about it.

No foreigner is expected to own land or property anywhere in Nigeria, you become a Biafran, you become a foreigner and lose everything

This is one of the reasons Nigeria is what it is today, youths who you feel should use their brains would never.

This is a good initiative from the Lagos state government and I even wished states and the FCT under lockdown should try and emulate and these lazy things are already badmouthing the idea.

Why can't you engage some youths in your area and act as volunteers to maintain orderliness in the centres abi una own na only to badmouth? If the LASG decides not to do it again, na una go still insult them.

I was looking to find out how the strong areas in Onitsha looks like at this time but the OP didnt post these areas. He only posted soft areas like someone rightly called it.

Please try show us how these areas look like;
Upper Iweka
Head bridge
Awada
Okpoko
Tarzan
Egerton
Ochanja
Owerri road
Nkpor
Awka road
Holy Trinity
I stay in Onitsha and know these places, since the OP couldn't give you what you want then I think you should come and showcase those places to others

You are showing one area several times and taking the pictures from different angles.Everybody knows that Tiny Onitsha is the most developed area in all of Igboland.Onitsha is not up to 4 GRAs in Ibadan.
.
Ibadan is more developed than the entire Igboland....VERIFIED FACT.
Hope you know that Lagos state is about 3,557km square and Ibadanland is about 3,000km square, are you saying that Ibadan is almost as big as the whole Lagos state?

Land stats used for Onitsha is just Onitsha north and south LGAs and not the stats for the rest of the metropolitan area

You are comparing this with Ibadan, are you not ashamed? Onitcha by landmass is 52km square while Ibadan alone is 3,080km square by landmass. If you put all these your beautiful houses in Ibadan, it can not fill one local government in ibadan.

If you divide Ibadan by Onitcha i.e 3080/52 = 60; this implies you will see 60 Onitcha cities in 1 Ibadan. Beautiful houses are spread in Ibadan because of landmass while Onitcha houses are compacted in a small landmass area that can not fill half of one local government in Ibadan.

Out of 33 local governments in Oyo state, Ibadan alone has 11 local government areas. If you divide 60 by 11, you have approximately 6, it means Onitcha city as a whole can only fill 1/6th of a single local government in Ibadan.

Can you now see how funny you people are when comparing Onitcha with Ibadan? Google is your friend, you can do the calculation and research by yourself. Empty barrel makes loudest noise! And upon your empty noise, if you never reach that brown roof republic to hawk gala and hustle in multitude, you never reach your 'Obodo-oyinbo'
I guess you're new here, this landmass thing had been discussed and settled here years back.

Your landmass for Ibadan is actually Ibadanland and not the built up part of the city while the the landmass you used for Onitsha is just the old part of the sprawling city which is actually the smallest compared to other parts of the city today.

It's like limiting the landmass of Lagos to Surulere, Yaba, Oyingbo, Iddo, Lagos Island only because that's the older part of the city and leaving other parts of Lagos as what if I may ask?
