felaismyhero:Well, bruv I still believe in love. I am not naive to believe in "Mills & Boon" kind of love but there is love. Not the infatuation type but one that grows over time between people. A couple need not be compatible ab initio BUT have to be complementary. Able to make reasonable adjustments and compromises along the way. They enhance the strengths of each other. |
DrObiHogan:Dude, I thought I was very pessimistic about 9ja ladies but you beat me hands down. ![]() So a man can marry two women and his chances of getting a decent one is till under 10%. Chai! I have long said here on NL that girls have long overtaken men in promiscuity stakes. Due to materialism and poverty. |
GrabHisBalls:Well, the lady takes at least 50% of the blame. She has no principles or morals. A short guy suddenly became eligible when she needed him to fund her studies. What of "for better for worse" she swore in the presence of God and human beings? She could have dated him BUT not take the oath of marriage. Not everybody is an investor and many such are still married happily. It's not uncommon for a lady to first make "nyanga" when toasted, giving various excuses. A man at times has to persist if you love a woman. Lessons for me are: many will follow you for money, including friends of any gender. Expect anything from anybody when things do not go smoothly. Loyalty nowadays is very scarce commodity. |
Why can't they just give everyone who needs prepaid meter one for transparency sake? The rate is bad enough. Estimated bill is an outrageous layer of scam on top. |
Fountainofyouth:You took it right out of my mouth. Maybe falling for plenty cash means they can do more tithes, offerings and sow better seed. Cos everyone is after own pocket. ![]() Fact is there is too much poverty and unemployment in the land. Too many girls competing for too few gainfully employed or well to do men. Simple. |
TOPCRUISE:Abi o. It is a trending business right now. The governor should caution that man parading as a king. Not worth it. |
Rip. |
GreenWhiteGreen:I fear o. People are poor in maths these days. Such payment from Nigeria will nearly liquidate Nigerian economy. They just quote figures anyhow. ![]() |
mexix:Is there any sector that works in Nigeria? Is it health for example? All sectors are comatose. |
donbachi:To some extent and in some cases she's right. But her generalization is too lazy. Fact is many girls multiple-date to afford the life they want. If she has one rich married sugar daddy who majorly funds her lifestyle, she might hold on to a young guy or two. One for possible marriage and one as a plan B/back-up. Most girls do it may not be entirely happy doing it, but no paddy for jungle. ![]() |
princfred:Sad thing is lots of women (even some men) still have the wrong notion of what men need in a woman/marriage. Sure men have different tastes. But when push comes to shove long term, all realise the value of some "boring" attributes. A serious guy is quite happy with a lady with average physical attributes. Provided she's supportive, understanding, shares one's dreams and gives one PEACE OF MIND. What use is a lady with a fine face, big boobs, fat ass and porn star in bed but nags the living day light out of you? Always diametrically opposed to any plans to progress in life? She will just send you to the great beyond before your time. |
Kabiyesi! K'ade pe lori, ki bata pe lese. |
salford:If she had won Olympic gold, they will not say "pim" about Nigeria. |
Very bad. |
Na wa. |
Dude, help out of "church mind" to allow her do her courses. But consider if she'd rescue you in a similar situation. Even if she won't you can still assist if you can afford it. My approach would be to give her part of the money and say please find to complete it. Remember that most people you assist will not even remember in a few years. Never mind in any way reciprocating. Also ensure that emotional attachment or sexual attraction is NOT driving you to help. |
armadeo:If you read my post carefully the citizenship does not derive from birth in UK. But the fact that Ibori is a UK citizen. FYI being convicted abroad is a right of passage for Nigerian politicians. Whether for narcotics, fraud, legal practice offence and others in Atlanta, Chicago, Toronto, London, New York, etc. Ibori and his ex-wife Nkoyo were convicted for shoplifting in UK in early 1990s. Also convicted for building materials theft in ABUJA after that. Neither local nor international conviction can stop Nigerian politicians in our corrupt system. At most 10 years from now IBORI will be at the heart of a ruling political party. His boys like Ayiri are already in the ruling party. |
Thing is the child will still get UK citizenship. Ibori has British passport they wanted both for their child. Ojukokoro. |
jethro2:Abeg I dey suspect this your TME 419 o. Nor be yahoo cassava be that so? ![]() |
Bros Ngige, the kind dance go sweet pass if you dance am for New Yam festival in Tel Aviv, Israel. ![]() |
PureFace1:Abeg Nigeria has no image again o. Very hard carrying the passport. As soon as some get another passport they never use it again. If not that most Nigerians excel in various fields even in difficult circumstances anywhere, it would have been terrible. Thing is increasingly many young people want easy money. Because even the elders ask no questions where the kids made their money from. They are praised to high heavens. It's a sorry situation. |
trueking:Lol. Illitrate versus graduate. Weyrey. ![]() |
Mzee1Kahuna:Nope, not true. Some are by male primogeniture. From father to son since centuries. Obviously kings have to commend or chastise politicians depending on performance. The freedom to do so depends how closely or not closely aligned politically to the rulers. Primogeniture kings do not suddenly come kings, they prepare for it lifelong. They may better understand their relative political "neutrality" better. Oba of Benin for example. Because Lucky Igbinedion (whose dad is palace chief by the way) messed up big time, people think the palace supports APC/Oshiomhole. But it's not the case. It's about making any govt, past or present know if they have performed well or not. King's have statutory govt allocation. It's peanuts by the way. Most modern kings have built wealth (business, high govt positions, high ranks in armed forces, etc) before becoming kings. |
GMbuharii:If you help fund him. No doubt a vet would know the need for space but Na money. He is doing what our political leaders should be doing. |
czarina:How cold a particular temperature feels depends on several factors not just the number on the thermometer. Humidity, breeze/wind, altitude and others play a role. 20 degrees at Oluyole in Ibadan might feel much warmer than 20 degree Celcius in Central Jtown. |
TheGiftedOne:Ah, there is a problem o ogbeni. Beeni, there is. You're meant to be an azzlicker like the rest of them (in Jegede Shokoya of new masquerade voice). ![]() You know we 9ja worship power and position. Because it usually comes with plenty money (looted of course). Many dream of it. Some are quietly saying "Gawd pick my call" as we type. ![]() |
RIP. |
babeosisi:These are athletes. So expect some tom-boyish girls in football at this level. Many you see daily with weave-on and heavy make up do not look anymore Feminine than these without those accessories. |
vertueptime:Intergovernmental affairs. Not international affairs. The former involves liaising between three arms of govt I presume. The others seem to be replication of duty as you already alluded to. In any case the title itself may be irrelevant. The functions given matter more. Removal of Energy portfolio just seem to echo the disappointment of people like me who eagerly looked forward to Fashola being made a super minister in 2015. And he was made it and widely supported by the public then. |
Good reply. |
Atiku biko, just leave am make he complete his 8 years make dem nor say Buhari for change Nigeria to paradise if allowed till 2023. Baba nor get certificate. But our Northern people some enter unity school with entry exam result of Zero. At least Buhari enter school at all. And he dey even speak English a little. Many Northern policemen and soldiers cannot even speak English or pidgin. |
