owila4luv:Well we do not know if she has any adult exposure to Nigeria. If she does not have, she would believe everyone does it on mortgage. I doubt she foresaw being discussed on Nairaland. |
naijapips04:Minimum wage in US ke? Where in US is that? £50k is not minimum wage in any country. Even many professional cadre first few years salary is still less than that. Mind you this is minimum 60k dollars with currently weak pounds sterling. Some in US do three jobs and still earn less than half of that. |
naptu2:I for one was not supporting or disagreeing with who you quoted. I only stated that the killed IRT guys had no uniforms and that fear of compromised military personnel probably made them try to avoid military checkpoints scrutiny. I know nothing about bribe or laziness in general in the military. |
naptu2:I think the whole thing is very murky. Hard to tell who is who. Our people say by night grass become human beings. Some communities are probably in strangle-hold of kidnappers that virtually everyone accepts it as a good business. Or even plays some role in it. Under direct instructions from powers that be, the security and military agents do hunt down kidnappers. But it doesn't seem to be the case generally. |
naptu2:The IRT guys were on covert operation. Obviously not wearing uniforms. They probably knew the kidnapper had close military links so they wanted to escape from the soldiers. Because soldiers would have freed the arrested kidnap kingpin from IRT if they knew at the military checkpoints as the policemen drove by. Are you not surprised that they managed to kill the policemen while the arrested kidnapper gingerly "escaped"? Methinks the kidnapper's people alerted the soldiers who then had to silence the police guys and free the kidnapper. Nor be 9ja? The full story is not told. |
Deepthoughts:International status, literary Icon, Nobel Prize winner, social critic, human right and political activist and conscience of the nation until he somehow supported Buhari's election in 2015 despite knowing far better. From his well publicised opinion of Buhari. He could have become stupendously rich by just siding with the govt of the day and getting oil blocks and contracts like a typical Nigerian. But he didn't Yes he deserves all the respect. |
Nwakannaya1:And Prof Wole was inaugural FRSC boss o. ![]() |
ay4shizzy:You forgot who scored the highest goals for Everton as a Nigerian player and one of the highest in EPL from Africa: Yakubu Aiyebeni. |
Really tragic story. . But she lives on in the hearts of those who loved her and those she inspired. RIP. |
surrogatesng:They will not ban such people o. But when you criticise govt of the day, na fiam! I think Seun has already "made it" and cares less about reputation of once glorious Nairaland that we knew. It's the way African things go. We cannot sustain standards for long. We soon take eyes off the ball. So not unique here. Since NL is now a shadow of itself, banning doesn't scare anyone anymore. |

andrew444:Not really. Even if they won Coutinho would not have been a success still. Considering his poor contributions at Barcelona. |
andrew444:Coutinho thrived at LFC because he had a good flow with the players and manager. Some players rely on confidence reposed in them. The the pressure the hit the ground running considering price tag. |
Show the breasts he pressed or you know the rest...... People kolo sha. Wetin dey random breasts to press again. I hope nor be latest yahoo ritual. At least the breasts did not disappear. |
Xander85:I know this post is old but Zik would have seen a broken up Nigeria as a personal failure. Born in Niger State and worked mostly in Lagos professionally, he saw Nigeria as a whole as his home. Awo was Yoruba through and through and Ahmadu Bello was Fulani through and through. Zik had a natural affinity towards Nigeria as a whole that other Nigerian leaders of their time did not share. He just could not justify potential splitting of Nigeria while campaigning with Nkrumah, Kaunda, Emperor Haile Silasie and others to strengthen African unity. When Biafra war started, Awo saw the chance to outplay his great rival Zik. Surely the North would let him rule now after helping to preserve one Nigeria. Otherwise Awo never believed one Nigeria would prosper. He knew the North is not progressive. That made Awo a better politician and a better reader of the game. |

Kikkikiki ![]() Sahara Abi Na Kalahari reporters wey dey lie and make mouth under Jonathan don dey take serious brutality from their Messiah Buhari. Wonderful. The wicked deserve their punishment. ![]() |
careytommy37: Na Buhari nor sabi. He should have made Sowore head of one authority or department like that. To reward him for Sahara Reporters propaganda against GEJ in 2011/15.After using innocent heads to do cannon fodder, the organisers will go and settle with FG and rake in billions. Like militant leaders did. |
Dottore:Some will still rely on one Otumokpor that one baba gave them. Fact is fly wey go kpeme dey follow dead body enter grave. If they ignored all the advice their mothers gave them, these pics will not stop them. |
babzo:Something is not right. Was he delaying them to use for elections next time? What will he do with those stuff? Why has he not sold them already? Who purchased those stuff in the first place? I understand they get cash from NASS and then spend to empower constituents. Why would he buy them and just stash away? He can never sell them and recover original purchase price back. The whole constituency project stuff is nonsense. Legislators have no business spending money. They should maintain an open office with staff in their constituency. Attending to & supporting constituents with human right issues, recommendation, intervening on their behalf, etc. Empowerment in material terms should be by local councils. Or Office/Board of Employment. NASS just got themselves a way to get their fingers on cash. |
Mental health support in tertiary institutions needs to drastically improve. Especially now that kids of 15 and 16 are going to university. Pressure and stress are intense. Heartbreak and poverty also contribute a lot. Over all stigma attached to mental health needs to go. A lot of social problems we witness are due to mental health issues. And mental health issues cause social problems. RIP. |
Kini big deal? Is she any body's wife? Is her husband complaining? |
sonnie10:Because they did not bleach their skin @authentic. |
oginga:Yep. While I would so much like to criticise her, our civil servants are very useless. Indolent, corrupt, lazy and mess up things anyhow. Since Murtala Mohammed did a mass sack of "corrupt" civil servants, it gradually became a cesspit. For that reason it is hard to know who's lying about certificate non-availability. When Buhari left school in 1961, the system was much saner and still under Cambridge Exam board in UK. |
Hmmm. Good innovation back then. Obsolete now. |
MrPresident1:We are talking of sex sessions per head. Or per capita. If an average Nigerian has 300 rounds of sex per year, a Ghanaian probably has 450 per year. And mind you assuming none of both groups suffer from premature ejaculation. ![]() That is what they are trying to say to my understanding. Fact is just because some countries talk less about it does not mean they are not at it like rabbits. Some are just smooth operators. |
Alejoas:Can your mobile power handle a freezer? Plus how do you recharge it? |
Well my internet is still intact. |
Hmmm. Plenty of dough. It is well. |
Good. |
Seriously gross. Many young people are very dirty these days. Almost worldwide aside places like Japan, South Korea, Singapore, etc. |
