Very nice. |
Ademat7:My dear, just let dem dey yarn. I don lose money taya for tenant. They prefer to pay lawyer than pay rent. Abi na farming person never try be it poultry or plantain farming or shop? For diaspora people it is far, far worse. Nobody wants to sweat to make your business prosper. They'll rather siphon your money. Nothing is normal in 9ja. Most prospering big business have big govt patronage where anything goes. |
9ja girls should know b4 leaving 9ja. As kids, it was Ghanaian girls doing this in Nigeria. How the mighty have fallen. In a certain European country some decades ago, it was Ghanaian girls doing prostitution. Many first lived in 9ja before going to Europe. Very many even had Nigerian passports. So the earliest "Nigerian" prostitutes in many parts of Europe were not even Nigerians. But genuine Nigerians eventually took over. |
sotall:Lol. The way people quickly believe these rubbish stuff is because they are actually of pagan superstitious belief at heart. Many of them talking here visit Babalawo & pastors for vision and others. Very little faith in God. In that same Edo, I take my Europe born kids to our ancestral villages whenever visiting 9ja. Whereas many people based in Lagos there do not take their kids to their village in Osun, Ondo, Edo, Imo, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Oyo and other states. Because they are too scared. You wonder what kind of Christians or Muslims they are that fear the power of witches, juju or voodoo more than God. |
cnc:That is what things like Open University should be for. But 9ja na different story. They want to begin women only schools like in religious climes forbidding married women mixing with men. |
olaezebala:Unfortunately many people are poor & hungry. In that condition, most would value a bag of rice than a few kilometres of road tarred with that money. To answer your question: No, most things are not normal in Nigeria. ![]() |
goodmorning40:Not necessarily because of that. A large number of kids do not belong to supposed that. Even within marriage. Moreso for first born kids. Cheap DNA test kits from the pharmacy in the future will make it easier to check in the near future. There are many husbands who do not take care of their wives & babies as this man has done. |
Night driving is very bad, especially on bad roads, darkness/poorly lit areas with broken down vehicles AND UNDER ALCOHOL INFLUENCE. A man should enjoy spending time with his wife/kids after work. Of course not every man is ready for that responsibility beyond providing food, shelter, clothing and school fees. ![]() If man seems to stay away from home a lot, a woman may need a bit of introspection at times. Is the marriage happy? Is the home welcoming? Any nagging issues, etc? |
nothingspoil70:But at least made locally. If money-hungry, profit-orientated foreign hustlers will manage it better, so be it. Govt should ensure local workers get a decent wage & good working conditions. |
AK Ayaya! |
RealJenny:The thing tire me o. Are most Nigerians not naturally dark-skinned? Or has bleaching taken over so much that dark skin is now rare? About the story, it sounds logical. I hope the courts will uncover the truth. Unfortunately if they can prove beyond reasonable doubt that he was aware of the fraudulent act, just aware, without actually doing it, he might be convicted of conspiracy. If truly innocent, I hope the guy who allegedly did it owns up & exonerate Krane. A lesson for others. When popping champagne, riding Limo & jetting around, care to know if your promoter actually has the means. |
Let them check well. He might be a German. ![]() It is like showing two fingers at the terrorists saying "you can terrorise but you cannot take my beloved beer from me". ![]() |
Religious politics in the university again? Students that are supposed to go learn cutting edge stuff end up with medieval religious squabbles. Which way Nigeria? |
Na Wa o. |
Ok. Traditional religion. |
fastgyal:I get your point. Because it may turn out the kids do not belong to the man after all, right? After all a large number of kids especially first born ones, do not. ![]() Deception in perpetuity is great, right? Cheap DNA kits will soon be available. |
Because women : (A) Are more gullible & easier to bamboozle. (B) Are very spiritual in every way be it witchcraft, seeking babalawo's or pastors help etc. (C) Believe less in logic. (D)Admire pastors as the ideal man or male figure, never mind that outlook seriously flatters majority of pastors nowadays. (E) Believe church is the best place to meet a "God-fearing" man, whatever that means these days. (F) Add yours. ![]() |
Is there anyone who does not drink water in the morning? Do they drink kaikai (akpokavi) or what? ![]() I feel thirsty on waking up and drinking water is logically the next thing to do. Although I prefer lukewarm water with a dash of lemon. Unless I just woke up in a hot tropical environment. |
@OP, When it comes to jobs, things are different everywhere nowadays. A degree is no more a guarantee but a minimum too. Education is meant to generally enlighten & broaden your horizon, not just to get a piece of paper as a ticket mill. You can still become a carpenter, a spare parts dealer, a farmer or run a restaurant. Your marketing education should serve as a springboard in whatever you do. And do it better (with modern approaches) than those without a similar education. Even professional courses like med, law, vet, accounting or pharmacy do not mean that people practice what they read at school. Everyone has to be flexible now. Even in the midst of serious challenges, be optimistic and upbeat. You will need it whatever you do or wherever you go. |
kinibigdeal:You mean he should have a muscular waist by now due to relentless conjugal exercise. ![]() OP try adjust biko. One before sleeping & one early morning should do. At least she's not using a scarf to tie you to herself until you have satisfied her. ![]() Seriously @ OP, Your woman has a very healthy libido. You have to device ways to satisfy her. Not necessarily using too much energy each time. She's just not tired out and therefore cannot sleep well. Improve your pre-intimacy expertise. Eat well too: more fruits & veg. If your work allows you also relax and keep fit more. If you can satisfy her most times, she will "disturb" your sleep far less. |
eyinjuege:This case is beyond just popping pills. Pills might improve some of the depression symptoms but won't remove the underlying cause:guilt. I was seriously empathetic with OP until I saw the Babalawo/Dibia bit. Her seeking advice here seems mostly due to fear of native doctor. Considering that it happened years ago and we're led to believe that she has been feeling guilty ever since. I hope that aspect wasn't "sexed up" to elicit sympathy. We Africans like to bring "God" into all our stuff. Considering the massive fvckery going on in the name of God by virtually everyone these days, I take all these remorse yarn and "God has forgiven me" stuff with a sizable pinch of salt. The F-up in our society surprisingly coincides with an era that everybody is now supposedly born-again. Call me traditional, superstitious or whatever, in my own culture OP would have basically condemned her hubby to death by still sleeping with him and cooking for him after her adultery. I have written about it with real life examples over the years here on NL. Some like to sneer at it. A major reason we must carefully consider "tagoing" with ladies outside of my culture. I have said often that most African cultures permit polygamy (irrespective of personal views, disadvantages or whatever). Just to inform pseudo-feminists in advance. Those who want parity can try parts of India were polyandry is allowed. @OP, Your hubby already suspects you. Or even already knows. He just seeks confirmation. Nobody can actually fully understand your burden (if real as you claim) or the enormity of the consequences. We can only imagine. If you have really wanted to confess over so many years, you would have worked out possible coping strategies. |
Ishilove:The bolded is very easy to say. Fact remains that being a Nigerian (a country their president say is corrupt) is not easy. Are people flying Nigerian flag at home in Nigeria? You cannot live in a foreign land and expect all to remain as if you were in Nigeria. It cannot work. In Nigeria, there are people in Lagos whose parents are Ijaw or Efik or Urhobo. Their Lagos born kids cannot speak Ijaw, Efik or Urhobo. Despite ease of travelling back to village and having relatives visit often. Even Asians that traditionally have close-knit communities are struggling already despite appearances. People under-estimate the influence of the society: education system, media/TV, social life on foreign-born kids. Most African/Nigerian parents are hardworking people with kids attending breakfast club, school & after school club. What time have they to impart all that culture? You need to have been through the grind to truly understand it. The UK society works because every working person puts in their very best, not bare minimum. Including Nigerians. Our bad rep in diaspora is an extension of the rot back in Nigeria. What exactly works in Nigeria to be envied by the world? Corruption, poor governance, cultism, armed robberies, a country with massive crude oil that imports petrol & kerosene, high unemployment, 419/yahoo yahoo, poor healthcare system, poor education system where even a UMTE data correction is a problem, etc. Fact is there is hardly anything about Nigeria to fly. Individual Nigerians are bright, enterprising and so on. They would still have been if the country was called "Floraria" after Flora Shaw. ![]() It is easy to be idealistic but Nigeria as it is and has been since 1960, is hardly anything worth it. No wonder our elites are fighting over the spoils. Only the plebs are still oblivious. That "Ajegunle" Peckham happens to be within a few kilometres of several NHS Foundation Trusts (Hospitals) of world class standard, within kilometers of elite universities like UCL, Imperial College, King's College, LSE, etc. And there are Peckham born and bred Nigerian kids in these schools. 24/7 of electricity and decent schools for their kids too. People should not mistake living in Peckham as synonymous with Ajegunle poverty. A lower end 3 bedroom flat in Peckham costs around £520K. Better ones from £750k to £1.3million. See Zoopla & Rightmove. For many in Peckham, they cannot imagine living anywhere else in UK. Especially many elderly ones. It is their little piece of Lagos. The illegals they are talking of, over time they gradually regularize their status, many through their UK born kids or on humanitarian grounds. Some get deported. |
Objectively, is this "intelligence" file on the VP true? If it is, combined with Buhari's nepotism, we have a big problem. Is this the change APC was talking about? One would expect our "educated" SW people to go beyond just name calling and counter Farouk's allegations point by point. But we are not seeing that. The North understand politics. Underestimate them at your own peril. |
RIP. |
Ok. Chemical reaction is now complete, equation balanced. We can now see the products: Salt + Water. Kids of nowadays sha. Na "lomance" dem dey go do for lab. Congrats. |
A mentally challenged woman gave birth and kept it. And a possibly "normal" person did a threw it into the latrine. In Nigeria, everything is truly upside down. Deranged people saner than many normal people. Which way 9ja? |
MrBrownJay1:It could be another mentally challenged man. There are cases where both do it in broad daylight. But most such pregnancies are by normal people. Konjinus bastardinus. ![]() |
Wait o. Those wey nor get family curse, how much have they seen since they were born? You get 8m pere, na you come get family curse. Abeg do these people suffer spiritual brain amputation when they enter these churches? ![]() |
[quote author=Arian11 post=57127814]guy above me mind ya sef oo anyways back to the topic good to see reconciliation in the industry.[/quote Oh. |
A whole big country like Nigeria with people like Rilwane, Utomi and co. Na wa o. She thinks. Yeah, I thought I was Bond, James Bond. Reality check: not. ![]() |
kingsleymike:People will not want to hear it. But recent history worldwide shows that in times of severe economic difficulties, inflation, high employment especially among the youths, crime rates rise. With sophisticated lethal weapons two a penny, it's much easier to overpower innocent people. Call it laziness or excuses, but it is a fact. Someone tired from doing a hard day's work will hardly have time or energy to go kidnap or do armed robbery. Victims of kidnap repeatedly say that their kidnappers were mostly unemployed graduates. Until we address youth unemployment, bring about steady and strong economic growth again, only God will help us. ![]() |
