BlindAngel:Ok many issues here, which I think built up over many years. Understandably in tough times everybody struggles for own survival. Just survival. Not collective progress. But no family is perfect. All have one issue or the other. But even if just your 10 years old baby bro & younger sister, three of you can still get together to manage things together. United we stand, divided we fall. As for your sister headed for Europe, pray for her safety, that is all you can do now. You said you owe two years rent, how much is it altogether? Because I think the landlord is really compassionate to have been so patient. |
richyblink1:Imagine the conconbility! ![]() Very sad but funny what replies are here. How can a grown ass (same age as a married woman) BIL enter a matrimonial bedroom without knocking? I'm sure he has his own room in the house. The SIL won't go into his anyhow. Even the BIL should have quickly left the room apologizing. Not still standing there while SIL dives for cover. The hubby should have said sternly "please knock on the door each time", apology or no apology. The wife's body is not for whole family viewing. Our inability to be objective with blood relatives is the cause of many marital issues, especially hubby's relatives. |
sekxy:No dear. Let them examine it carefully. It could be rat c*ndom! ![]() How many girls will believe their guy if they found a used condom in his bathroom & his roommate denied using it? The bf sef na learner. How many young virile female students take fidelity seriously these days? So long marriage is not on the cards yet, the bf should leave matter for Mathias. ![]() |
You do know that they have to pay for the bills you know? It's not paid for with tax payers money mind you. That crap only happens in the UK unfortunately. The NHS treats any and everyone without billing them and they wonder why they keep falling short with funds
Not always these days sef. If you are fairly famous, someone will notice that you are foreign-based and you will have to pay. Many get caught and denied visa next time. More should be done though. You cannot be reaping where you did not sow. |
Saintsammurai:Let that poster be doing JJC there. Though firstborn kids are most common to belong to another man, many kids conceived within marriage also do. 10 to 20 years from now when DNA tests become cheaper, many dirty secrets are going to be exposed. I have said this here on NL for years now. By the way, if a huge inheritance or loss of massive prestige in the church or society in general could result from such a paternity scandal, lots of women can do anything, including murder to keep it secret. |
BlindAngel:Lol. Why do you think we would not understand? You will be surprised many have been through similar situations. This is a public forum with many people reading. You never know. Be optimistic sir. I know people who have got assistance here by talking honestly. Be it jobs or otherwise. ![]() |
Just imagine. Very wicked. I hope the mother reclaims the baby. |

Lol. Slay mama. |
Pure evil. |
gberra:How can a blind person see? No you cannot even see. So how can you look? Accept my sympathy. Life must be very frustrating to you. ![]() |
BlindAngel:You guys can team up to send the younger ones, like two, to sign agreement to learn hairdressing & fashion design for just two years. The rest will support them in that period. If others wish to, they can learn same trade from the two once they are through. Or the two can now support one or two more to go to higher institution. Lifting oneself up is a gradual thing. Like a 5 to 10 years plan. A fashion designer or hairdresser will make far more money and have more independence than a low pay worker. |
Nigeria is a secretive society. Transparency is generally not our way of life. At all levels, private & public/govt spheres. Many people want to be perceived to be doing better than they actually are, keeping up with the Jones's. Being a very superstitious and religious society, we fear many unknowns too. |
Before nko? They think body language actually changed any poo? |
wadetaw202:Thank you. But nothing stops you asking same question sir. But remember how sensitive such an issue might be. Maybe not everyone is ready to tell the whole world the exact details of a loved one's death. |
If you wan get heart attack, continue sniffing around. Unless of course you're considering marriage. |
Na wa o. So much insecurity. RIP. |
chuks34:Whether you read the OP I doubt. The child was rushed to hospital where he was confirmed dead it says. Are you saying the lifeless body on the ground was after they brought him back from hospital or even at the hospital? Common sense would tell me that after being confirmed dead, he would be taken to the police station (I see no policemen) or most likely to the mortuary. Does it not seem likely that pic was immediately after the incident? If after the incident, who confirmed the child dead at that point to make CPR irrelevant? Is CPR not meant to possibly increase the chances of reviving the victim when the professionals eventually arrive or when the victim gets to them? I write this epistle to make your mind work a bit. And because we have a country of very intelligent but poorly enlightened people who instead of learning, blissfully believe they know it all. BUT most importantly, many like you would not do CPR in that situation, believing the child is dead without any professional confirmation. A bad mistake indeed. |

How sad, RIP boy. I cannot see anyone giving CPR there. |
BlindAngel:Sorry to hear that. Which city do you live in? |
milliman:Sorry man. |
BlindAngel:My dear nobody that attended even only nursery school should get 5.5k. Period. When we paid a maiguard 20k per month many years ago, I felt it was too little. He got some pecks now & then too. He didn't pay rent, water or light bill. His quarters had similar amenities like bathroom/WC like main house. He even later had a wife & kid conveniently living there. Well, not too late to further education. Like Open University (NOUN). |
realestniggah:Where the light? Actually many people use gas in the West. Central gas system supplied to every house just like pipe-borne water. Though not compulsory to use it. I hate gas since well over a decade and a half ago, a flatmate left the gas on the whole day, letting gas fill up the flat. Had I been a smoker and entered the flat smoking a cigarette, that would have been the end. |
Very sad to see so many in prison. |
BlindAngel:Bolded per day or what? Haba! The country can't be that bad na. ![]() Will the job somehow help build her CV? If per month, it certainly is a slave wage. Has she any qualification? |
Gerrard59:No. The Catholic Church used to burn old ladies, many with black cats, accused of witchcraft on a stake in medieval Europe. So where are the European witches today? The belief system of a people at a particular time affects reality. With industrial age and the age of enlightenment before it, all that witchcraft belief disappeared in Europe. Give us good roads and light and we'll paid jobs, a good health care and social care system and see belief in witches disappear. Right now accidents, poor health, poverty, and misfortune are blamed on village witches. If we become like Malaysia, beliefs will also change. |
Cool. |
femi4:Thank you. I was going to post it & saw yours. But nobody knows tomorrow. This may be a period of serious learning for OP. To prepare him for something bigger. |
Nobody quite knows the full answer. Simply because everybody is different. (A) Be very realistic. Ensure your dreams, aspirations & expectations are realistic. Know your own capabilities too. (B) Ensure you are ready for the commitment: financially, emotional maturity, tolerance, compromise, etc (C)Know your future spouse: her expectations, dreams, character, her upbringing, family background/expectations, etc. To avoid someone on a different wavelength as you: including sexuality, family planning, religious attitudes, resilience in the face of challenges etc. compatibility is crucial. (D)Believe: Ensure you both believe you can make it work. No reluctance. Through shared experiences, religious faith, support network and so on. (E) Do not ignore certain warning signs. People do not change for the better after marriage most times. For the worse if anything. |
