stagger:. Seconded. Just yesterday I lost a relative that I was chatting with on Christmas day. A young and fit person that was hale & hearty. Please in the light of this, all this little e-fight pale into insignificance. Peace guys. |
Mogidi:. Lol. I actually met him briefly when he was head of state. Most people saying Sai Buhari, Sai Buhari have never met him. Idiagbon was the action man then. In fact, it was called Buhari-Idiagbon regime. |
Mogidi:. Those Abokis don't stress themselves. Buhari is the type who will be in bed by 10pm like late Yar'Adua. He was not even that active in his early 40s (30 years ago). Honestly speaking 9ja needs an energetic whether old like OBJ or young like Fashola, Ribadu, Osho Baba etc. But most things in 9ja are aberrations. Sadly. |
AfricanApple:. Nna, in fact kids raised to the power of 1 billion. You don bleep her, wetin you dey find again? You wan marry her? If so nor be we be her parents to ask for her hand. So OP, e nor occur to you say you don already turn ATM spitting out dollars, Pounds, Naira & Euro longest time? You have been such a reliable ATM (no technical issues) such that you refused her once, she went mad. Wow! Try to convert to hard currency how much you don spend on her. Na now you wan stop? Ol' boy when you dey pound the thing dey moan, you nor ask us how hard to hit am o. ![]() Pele, ndo. |
kaya09:. He might be a scientist, you can't be excellent in everything. Many of us had English denting our results back then. That silly "C or B" in English. The message is clear and the reasons seem plausible. However, I have no experience with 9ja higher Education. I know a guy who failed his PhD in a top UK university because he couldn't remember the distance between two carbon bonds during his viva! Yes, simple things like that are crucial. Otherwise, resources/facilities and supervisors are very good. |
Old story, Nothing goes for nothing. She's lucky they weren't used for money ritual. A big warning for those girls looking for flashy things. Work for your own money. Follow a decent man, he may or may not be rich. |
It comes from people not being properly trained in the ethics and conducts of priesthood. Since ancient times in the West, there are the so-called Three Great Professions: Clergy, Medicine & Law. All three required considerable training/apprenticeship. All were committed to serving humanity. Medicine & Law still require extensive training, code of conduct/ethical standards, induction and a licence to practice. Clergy is now all-comers. Anyone who can set up a shack can become a pastor. So no surprise. @Emusmith You cannot compare Ben Carson's case with this. If Ben Carson referred to an elderly patient with atrial fibrillation or angina, that can easily affect 2.5% (possibly hundreds of thousands or more) of Americans over the age of 70. Breaching confidentiality is one very easy and silly way for a doctor to get a suspension of licence or even get struck off the Medical Council register. |
evergreenlady:lol |
Ok, I get where you're coming from. Obviously one of the biggest concerns for intending farmers is how do you manage to sell your produce or livestock profitably after all the investment and hardwork. Recently all over NL and elsewhere, poultry owners were advertising hundreds of broilers n layers for sale. Even a day before Christmas. This is supposed to be the period when chickens are hotcake. As more people go into farming, produce & livestock all seem to be ready for harvest/sale at about certain times of the year. Huge supply can easily reduce prices considerably. Well, a possible way forward is for co-operatives or groups of farmers to pull resources together and begin processing their produce. That way, excess produce can be mopped up and prices stabilised. Even in the West, supermarkets/middle men pay peanuts to buy milk from dairy farmers, same with strawberries, oranges, lettuce, etc. With cassava, it could get worse with time. Processors may decide to plant large number of hectares of cassava themselves. Many banana companies that were previously just buyers, now produce millions of bananas from their own farms in Central/South America. Orange juice makers too. jethro2: |
bright007:. My dear, if you ask where he comes from, he won't even have enough pride to tell the truth. Fact is wherever he comes from, his people will never have anything close to the history, culture and civilisation of Benin. The history and contribution to human civilisation, engineering, arts, governance by his people is not documented in any archives, museums and university departments anywhere in the world. He's one of those from an inconsequential vassal land. Hating since the beginning of time. |
jethro2:Thanks for your sincere opinion. However, I don't think we should be challenging each other, rather we should liaise and synchronise as much as possible. As I do not have any evidence that the gentleman is just making things up, I think it's fair to give him a positive signal to assist where possible. I assume (rightly or wrongly) that your business is based in the East, while the gentleman is based in the West. I don't think I'm totally wrong to believe that market volume might differ in both places. Considering location of Ogun/Oyo being closer to Lagos & its population and available export possibilities. Peace. |
Lesgupnigeria:@Lesgupnigeria. Let us put it this. Maybe the guy is in an area with less demand for cassava or far from processors. Or he just doesn't have the right links to dispose off large amounts off cassava. For example, SW (especially Oyo/Ogun axis) might have more processing factories than some other areas. As as a mark of solidarity among young farmers and agripreneurs, you may want to connect him, even if at a little commision. Because more positive news from lots of agribiz people will encourage more. We now have a generation of 20 to 50 years old who have seen that petroleum has been of little help to us, and we're going back to what our grandgathers did so well, only with bettter knowledge, education and technology behind us. The only way is up. |
tranxo:Nna, you never see anything. Nor be Naija we dey talk about, na today? You go bow say some monks fit have more secret children than Baba Onikeke with three wives at home. ![]() |
sureboss:. That na potential gobe. Original gobe! |
They are fine. |
Lesgupnigeria:. Thanks |
Lesgupnigeria:. Ok thanks. Now it would obviously make sense to locate the mill near a brewery. What is the ease of getting the brewery waste as raw material? You know almost everything in 9ja is by connection and long-leg. And what's the regulation regarding animal feeds, like animal equivalent of NAFDAC? |
That brewery waste pelleting machine, how much is it going for? I suppose you can use it to pellet and sell to people like pig farmers. |
abhosts:. 15 year old dads. Brilliant. In a place where ISIS and Boko Haram are on recruitment drive, I wonder if we need more of those. For every teenage parent that makes it in football, Nollywood, music or any showbiz, there are possibly 49 hawking guguru, fighting in motor parks, eking out a living as a thug, ritual killer, armed robber, prostitute, etc. Because somebody will soon mention Genevieve, Shan George, etc. |
I think the OP lady has since moved on. But for the benefit of others. Sometimes men are not looking for a lady that has planned how to get her PhD and others in a very strict order. Most men like ambitious women but not a woman who's consumed by those ambitions. It can really ruin the fun of being with such a girl. Know the kind of guy you're with. Most guys are simple beings. The guy may never meet a girl like you and there are many possible reasons for that. One is maybe he will just avoid girls like you in the future. Maybe with all your good qualities, there are just too many other reasons for him to look elsewhere. He could have chosen to keep you as a spare/insurance girlfriend but he didn't. Pray for a guy looking for a girl just like you to come your way. Good luck. |
Please show more pics of interior, seats, steering, gear, etc. I guess this car has been painted before. And the engine washed? |
Merry x mas and a happy new year in advance. |
Pain:. Is she a prostitute or a girlfriend? I don't think the money is the issue. Rather the sense of entitlement some babes have. It can be very annoying. Funny thing is that same girl might be dating another guy that she gives pocket money. Especially some of those away at school. |
nice thread |
OP Sorry o. The turkey thighs we put in the oven burn a little bit but not like yours. I for say come follow us chop but I guess distance is too far. |
Should clerics of any religion or denomination be overtly endorsing any political party or candidate. If clerics can't maintain neutrality, then they should be made to pay taxes. At least they can then endorse a party that will charge them lower taxes for example. If catering for spiritual needs of people is now only a secondary role, money making and politics are now their major calling, they should be treated like business ventures and pay tax. |
majekdom2:. No it doesn't. Nor does marrying with grey hair guarantee kids' success. If you marry at 24, say after NYSC and you're a young army/police officer or young banker or civil servant, you have the potential to grow in your career and be economically comfortable. Same if you're in private business. If you married a compatible wife/hubby and you both have a common goal and you have the right foundation, there are good chances your kids will succeed. There are no guarantees. Even some kids of billionaires fritter away their inheritance and succumb to drug abuse. So na by Grace of God o. |
bynat:. Maybe, but for millennia, marriage has been the single most important human institution. Failure of marriages has a direct correlation with societal problems. Go to any large prison and interview inmates about their family background. You will see the large number of them from failed and dysfunctional homes/marriages. I have done a mini-project on hardened criminals with mental health issues. And other works by several researchers. Quite revealing. |
