What a Nigerian Man can do, Nigerian Woman can do better!
True. For every Bode George, there is a Patricia Etteh & and for every Erastus Akingbola, there is a Celilia Ibru ![]() |
This topic heading is a bit misleading. You can say your guy NOT your man. Is he even engaged to you sef? You are possibly the one going to scatter a budding family. A man has decorated his flat with the sweet fotos of his family and you're complaining. If you don't do your homework, you might just become another baby mama. Women and their complex love affairs. Whatever happened to all those free men out there without baggage. Her next topic now will be "All men are cheats, All men are bad". |

Redmosquito: To show the village witches that they have failed. So they should try harder in the coming year? Don't tempt fate o! ![]() Hopefully they'll fail woefully again. Spiritus heavinus. |
Will it fly for 250k? I can send someone in Benin to see it. |
Well, babies swim for nine months before they are born. The twins probably practised using their limbs well by fighting & kicking each other in the womb as latest scan pictures showed about a week ago. |
One woman's alpha male is another woman's player, one woman's nice guy is another woman's didinrin. So just strike a balance and be somewhere in the middle, swinging the pendulum depending on how the girl behaves herself. The only thing that is constant is change. |
@Tunji, People just make comments without understanding the issue at hand. A relative of mine is having such issue now. she has even clashed with her in-laws. Her husband who is the eldest male (has elder sisters)is shouldering the load of all his unmarried siblings and aged mother. Others who are are equally doing well make to contribution. Their dad is no more. The man is working and earning good money but almost nothing to show for it, except for structures he managed to erect years ago. Imagine sponsoring several siblings at uni and his own young kids all in private schools. Many people are in the same situation to the consternation of the spouse (who didn't expect such). Out of sense of responsibility, they just soldier on unhappily. Stopping is not possible. maclatunji: I understand what you mean perfectly. There something called Role Set. This means I as an individual may have many roles- a son, husband, father, brother, boss, subordinate, teacher etc. The same thing applies to you and your spouse. |
Ha ha ha ha.....At least your comment is attracting attention even if unpopular. I think people rather like to cuddle-you . Your post has strong opinions to be ignored. Better to have your opinions than to follow-follow.The point I was making is we cannot always say that it must be the man's or woman's fault. Some people are naturally very secretive. Infact pathologically secretive and they find nothing wrong with it.
Why is everyone in a hurry to rule out my comment? I mean enlightenment, education and learning shouldn't be restrictive. We don't all have to be on the same page, that is the essence of a discussion to learn and show your level of understanding of a topic. Most of you don't know the poster from adam. Are you members of his household? So what's the fuzz? Mind you, the op wasn't comprehensive and descriptive enough with his one liner. So you should expect several interpretations/assumptions et all I believe the op can clarify things himself Abeg, let's be open minded and receptive to a discu |
![]() bakila: In Naijaspora a woman will build a house and rent it out without her husband knowing about it. Facts remains marriage is a business that is not determined by any manual.. How do those marriages end up? A man might sense such insincerity and start preparing himself for a life without her, like taking a younger version outside. ![]() In effect, the woman might push him to do it. In fact I know of older Naijasporans where you case happened. Younger ones/under 50s should not copy that. |
No comfortable, respectable and responsible husband cares about his wife's salary, so the question above does not arise, IMO! And, why wife Why not partner If he's that comfortable, what's his business with his wife's earnings In fact, why ask Why make her lie Will he also tell her his exact salary A wife is just a helper, it's a husband's duty to pay the bills, so he should deal with it and stop being petty!
.This is a very old fashioned view. Perhaps still common in Nigeria. In diaspora I dated European women who earned twice, even thrice my income. Among some Nigerian couples abroad, the woman earns more. Does it mean the man is not responsible or respectable or comfortable? Some women beginning to disrespect the man who initially sponsored the woman to university (while the man did hard work to earn the money)because she now earns more money, has led to wife-killing especially in America. It's all about understanding NOT about who earns more money. With this mentality, you encourage men to believe that a woman is only with them because they have money. |
Cuddlemii: If your wife lied about her salary, then, you need to check yourself. That is the sad truth!. Look at them playing pocket lawyer. You think the poster didn't try to figure out why before coming to NL? @cuddlemi: If she so distrusts her husband to suspect of him possibly messing about with other women, what is the point of the marriage then? She's not married to " some men" but her husband who she should have known well enough before marrying him. I suspect many respondents here have little marriage experience if any. In this day and age all income should be family income no matter who earns it. My lady was not working for years (bringing up kids) and as a single earner, we both sat down to decide on spending. Now that she works, we both still do same. How can a married man or woman be insincere about income? I think it's a very bad thing. My lady keeps all the payslips because she's better organised. That's just common sense. @ Poster: DOES your wife know how much you earn? |
Hi Ehitz, How close is Uhumudumu/the property to EDSU compus? Are you the owner or an agent? |
Emmyluvly I don't want to spoil your market, but i can do with one Jallopy one like this too to dash somebody in Edo state, shey car na car .But how much will it cost to replace the compressor, service it and become driveable to Edo state? since I am neither in Edo or Lagos, don't know to get it to Benin even.
God bless you.. some people just talk without relating things with their everyday experience.. What if the doctors need to run some very expensive tests on the woman?? who's goin pay?? the C.E.O of the hospital..? or the Dean of faculty of medicine, UNIPORT, or Rivers state governor ??
. The inconvenient truth. Question is which way Naija? How do we save our mothers and unborn children? |
Can we see some pictures of the estate in question. This is important to know if it's a medium or long term investment. |
Is it your car and do you have original car documents? |

Will 2 plots go for 400K? |
This discussion shows the wide gulf between xtians and others. Xtrianity preaches forgiveness and tolerance. We xtrians forget that this teaching is not universal. Xtianity did not rely on violence to spread at inception but rather xtians suffered severe persecution BUT still did not fight back. We xtrians should become more aware of this in order not be ignorant was we seem to be here. Ask the Beroms of middlebelt. |
