Bantino. You no go rest. Long time. ![]() Make I get likes joor |
ikennahill: funny Nigerian Medical doctors,u want your own residency but you are fighting others from doing fellowship in their own field(not medicine). It baffles me how these medical doctors think. Some are saying it is war with government,do they know the power government have? Hmmmm my brother go and read about government in time of war .I love this thing done by our president.Medical doctors in 9ja don chew too much.Use salt water to bathe before 6a.m. |
datribune: d chemists on nigerian streets do more for d average nigerian than this overpaid, overhyped Oliver Twist doctors who ar usually always on strike anyway. Its people like you that made the price of salt go up last week. |
firedup: Doctors are already a disaster on the citizens by abandoning the tax payers by going on strike for a month an half now,do u know many that have died? abeg they should go out their and tackle ebola afterall they never went on strike for proper equiping of our hospitals but rather for ego trips and money. nonsenseNot only drs are needed to tackle this evils scourge you can first your part too. You don't even need to be health trained to help. I am sure something can be found for you to do. So head up to the nearest Ebola center and offer your service. Note life insurance cover is provided too. |
enny09: You still can't believe this, you must be a learner, FG have already put in place measures like employing new MBBS graduates next week, provided they wish to to up the job and deployed military health personal to reduced the work load and you still think president GEJ is a dumb, my friend wake up from your slumber before it too late, I advice you if you have good relationship with your CMD, better give him a call earlier to fix you on locum before it is filled up, a word they said is enough for the wise.I am in awe of your level of ignorance. Military health personnel to man all the hospitals. Sometimes Nigerians are actually baffling. |
Royver: 1. president sacks all resident doctorsThis is naija for you. Many still won't comprehend what you have said. Primitive hatred will showcase it self. Watch and see. |
pDude: Do you now believe that Nigeria is in deep troubleYou dey shout am since oh. |
Emekamex: It seems the FG are desperate to privatize everything including hospitals. This move will surely open way for private owned hospitals. The downside is that we lose experienced doctors and price of health fees will definitely increase.Insight. |
saxywale: don't know how it would eventually play out. UK NHS is free and they make use of locum doctors and casual nurses. same with Canada and a good number of European countries.I think this is the first step. However it plays out the fg isn't gonna suffer. There is no health insurance scheme for now in naija so who's gonna pay. It will be bloody at first but water will find its level. |
dljbd1: I know of a woman who underwent operation and the useless surgeon forgot a towel inside her.Go and find out who is supposed to know how many towels were used in an operation before the dr closes the patient. Thank me later. |
iswallker: All this falsehood ure sharing..diaris god oooo!!! ![]() |
okparaugo: Good move. You too Na wa oh. |
firedup: So u feel editing and quoting me will make you feel better?I simply edited your post because you can make your comment on any issue without resorting to gutter language. On the issue of sack its a big joke. Don't worry, about turn is the mantra of this govt. Expect it soonest. |
ogawisdom: All doctors shld b forced to resume n those who dnt shld b replaced by foreigners.Oga can you afford to pay foreign doctors? |
Leopantro: you are wasting your time trying to enlighten Nigerians. they are ready to bathe with salt and kerosene because they got a phone call that evil spirits would be released by 3am. ![]() |
phantom:I have often wondered about our penchant for the supernatural. Is it due to the cultural beliefs embeded in our DNA from time immemorial when the dibia was the all in all. |
Homguy: and you call yourself a Doc? Nick named LOGIC2014?! Simple "LOGIC" would have made you understand that if I corrected prescriptions made by Docs, I obviously know about those drugs and their indications and dosage more than the "BEST" Doctor. You are probably a lowly house office, na una e dey shack. For the records, my bro is a Doc,and frnds are docs and I don't feel a little threat. We run different races. Drugs, indications, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics,Psology, Adverse effects,interactions...between drugs are what I was grind in for several years @ the Uni. So don't poke your nose into what you know next to nothing about...Mr.Doc. ![]() This post stinks of inferiority. You correct prescriptions everyday. Good I applaud that. Why are you now shouting that your brother, neighbour, driver are all drs. |
Amaizu: The Resident doctor is by implication a student. Why would a student go on strike?.Must you comment. Instead of you to gradually update yourself, you jump out to expose your ignorance. |
phantom: !!!! for those who cant, the agbo sellers and fake drug sellers are waiting to knock the final nail in.This got me laughing . The grim reaper must be smiling now even though his face has no expression. |
ejihand1: Sharrap there! So you expect govt to fold its hands and allow a part of medical teams to put it in a tight corner? For your information, consultants are not on strike. The govt got it right on this one. No group of persons is indispensable in any organised sector. Let the NARDS sit and watch their job been taken by their follow doctors. Then, they will realised that this govt cant be intimidated or cajoled to carry out absurd request. Fashiola did and presently the hired doctors are still in govt pay check list. A word is a enough for the wise. Doctors, the early you go back to work the better for you. thanksAll of you shouting Lagos state govt have you been to the hospital recently. Don't be in the comfort of your home because you aren't I'll thinking the hospitals are working. GI and look by yourself and come and testify. |
[quote author=Homguybut those requests are insane, imagine, trying to prevent all other health professionals from being called "Doctors of whatever field they are in". .[/quote]I assume you at a pharmacist. Who told you drs said nobody should be called drs of whatever field they are in. You just displayed your ignorance and pettiness. |
warrior01: Story that touches the heart. sobs.......Abeg nack us your tori!! |
bisiswag: If only u knew that residents r d power horses of all teaching hospitals,u wld never say this. Nigerians have dz warped up mentality about doctors, thereby blinding them to reason' Soon,d next move by ur Jona will b to privatise d health sector and Dats wen reality will hit home. DimwitsInteresting. I see you see beyond the mist and through the charade. This is the first step in privatisation of the health sector. Get rid of the " contracts staff" then whip the pensionables in line. Of course some would still have to go. Meaning.... 1. Loss of accreditation of medical schools as the hospitals become general no more teaching. 2 post graduate medical colleges gone. 3. Gradual encroachment of privatisation to other areas in the hospital. 4. Sales if hospitals to ![]() 5. Average Nigerian cannot afford the new private hospitals 6. The chemist hammers. |
Haywhymido: Tomorrow shall tell ...Yes it shall. Its a weekend so by Monday the stone should have gathered momentum or stopped in its tracks. ![]() |
moufan: didirin nie se!!!odeMr man answer Her or keep quiet, why resort to ramblings when faced with intellectual conflict. |
lakamua: residents are the doctors. maybe mr president thinks consultants are d ones that run the hospitals. prof chukwu is not advising u well. they are too many to replace . 80 percent is not a small numberI don't want to believe that the minister is privy to this though you can't trust politicians . wasn't he a resident he of all people should know how the system works. Let's see giw this plays out. |
firedup: Who is the Minister of health--doctorFixed! |
ige101: Why is this not on front pageThis is the first step |
Privatisation tins on my mind. Fg has moved its queen. |
If this is true The affected hospitals will be teaching hospitals and federal medical centers for now. They would revert to general hospital status. What would inadvertently follow is the loss of medical schools accreditation. Some drs will take up positions as locum in the federal hospitals which would buffer on a general note The states would follow suit and employ locum drs. Analytically this isn't the end point. Its the first step in the privatisation of the health care system. I find it interesting and would like to see how it plays out. |
What do you expect from a fifty yr old man still living with his mother. |
