A group of Nigerians on Wednesday staged a peaceful demonstration in front of the Nigerian High Commission in London, United Kingdom, to make series of demands.

The group, which frowned at the state of governance in Nigeria under President Muhammadu Buhari, said citizens had lost hope of a meaningful future under the current administration.

The protesters went on to condemn the government for its baseless charges against rights activist and journalist, Omoyele Sowore, asking for the case to be immediately dropped.

The group said, "It is fraudulent charges. They are not allowing Sowore to go and see his family. For several months now, Sowore has not set eyes on his family.
"The case has again been postponed until April 1 and 2. Can you all see the charade behind this.
"We are calling on the government to drop all charges against Sowore, Olawale Bakare (Mandate), Agba Jalingo.
"The government has no solid evidence to pursue the cases against Sowore and others and instead of them to humbly drop them, they are wasting everybody’s time.
"If indeed they had evidence, they won’t be seeking for adjournment, they will proceed with the case.
"This is not just about Sowore as a person, it is about every Nigerian. Injustice against one, is injustice against all.

There are a lot of people detained unjustly across Nigeria that we don’t know about. Nigeria today has become a lawless society and[b] President Muhammadu Buhari is a disaster.[/b]

"Nigeria has failed for everybody. There are killings everyday across the country. Nothing is working anymore.
"But government keeps deceiving everybody and that is why we have embarked on this protest to let the world know what is actually going on in Nigeria.

"We cannot prosper as a country when there is widespread injustice everywhere.
"The same DSS officials that has failed to apprehend Boko Haram members are the ones chasing after and tormenting innocent citizens. This cannot continue.

"WE ARE CALLING FOR A REFERENDUM so that people can express their thoughts about this contraption called Nigeria.
"THIS COUNTRY IS NO LONGER WORKING, WE NEED TO GO OUR SEPARATE WAYS."

All Africans eats Egusi nd most of the countries nd tribes in Africa calls it Egusi or a name related to Egusi, even Ghana, Togo nd so on. Yoruba's has been cooking Egusi b4 Igbo's migrated to Nigeria from Egypt where they served as slaves.

All Nigerians eat Jollof rice but it originated somewhere.

Most Nigerians eat ofe akwu but we know where it originated from.

Yea every country looks out for her own interest and your francophone neighbours aren't exceptions. So far they are tackling their own problems and have done nothing serious to undermine Nigeria's sovereignty. Nigerian leaders often use them to deflect the public's attention from their ineptitude. The francophone pro Biafra posture was at the instance of France's sympathy and interest in the region. You can't blame the francophone countries for being French puppets without blaming nigeria for being same for the British.

The three biggest rivals in the EU are Germany UK and France, The Germans are British economic rival while the French were their colonial and now their neocolonial rivals. The Brits left the EU on the basis of economic and political self determination. Now they are coming for oil in Biafra for economic sustenance. The father can only be denied paternity by the girls family if he denies paternity at first and later change his mind to claim, or fails to show up to claim paternity when the child is born only to come some years later, after the child would have been nurtured by the girls family. It's in such instances that the girl's father can claims the child.

I think most igbos don't even understand their own culture. It's in certain instances that a girls father is allowed to claim children born in his house. Such arrangements are known ab initio, and the child father is aware.

I'll advice you never to make presumptions about what you know nothing about or to ascribe a quality to urself cos you'll never know how stupid it will make you look when you get educated about them later. every woman/girl belongs to a family at any stage- her father's family or husband's family. each of the two families owes responsibility to her while she is under them. likewise she owes everything she got to the family. Also, if she has a child while not married, she is having it for her father because she is under him. If she has a child while married (whether by her husband biologically, through extra marital affair, or through adoption) the baby belongs to her husband because she is under him. It is very clear, unless the rightful owner decides to hand over the child to the biological father. No court can rule otherwise except tanko's court.

On a state by state basis. Imo had more candidates admitted in 2015, 2013 and 2012. Osun had more in 2014 and Ogun had more in 2011. Zamfara came last in all the years.

Supreme court cannot reverse its judgement,even as the judgement is full of errors. However, it will be noted so as to avoid future occurrence.

every Igbo commenting on this thread has just made a fool of himself. The op simply used this thread to make Igbo's support so called restructuring instead of Biafra and they fell for it.

This thread taught me a lot about the ideology of the Fulanis, and one thing I learnt is that they never change their ways. That treachery still exists today and I’m glad we are conscious of their ideology now.

What else that needs to be done if for we Muslims in the SW to stop depending on the Sultan as a religious head. After all, Islam got to the SW in the 16th century before Dan-Fodio Jihad.

Instead of recognizing the Sultan as the Muslim religious head of Nigeria, we should rather recognize someone else from the source itself. Although Saudi too is somehow these days.

Normally, Islam would have been better in Nigeria, but these same Fulanis make the religion toxic. They are intolerant, full of themselves, fixated on the mindset of past centuries and rigid to change. At this age, Shariah and Jihad should have been relegated from the face of this world, even the Middle East people are modifying their laws.

smh...stop wasting your time. Don't get it twisted, Islam is the region of the Arabs. There is no way you can practice the "purest". form of Islam without being arabized to a certain extent. No matter how pious a moslem you are, the Fulani's will never see you as their equals or consider you a true muslim if you are not fulanized. There were Islamic scholars in hausaland before Dan fidio yet he had to carry out jihad to established " pure" islam. Jihad is not just a war to spread Islam, it involves killing of indigenous people in large numbers, destroying their heritage, history, culture and sense of ethnic identity through terror, replacing it with Arabic and Islamic mindset by way of supplanting the indigenous population with large Arab/ Islamic population and subsequent inter marriage. it happened in north Africa, hausaland, Ilorin, middle east etc You either become a true muslim who are subservient to fulanis, who are themselves loyal to arabs or leave islam. The only way is self determination. having your own country and charting your own course. Spanish monarch did it to invading arabs, today Spain is peaceful.
