akpomeme: Smh*hehe abeg no mind that person.na typical naija response.however do you have any idea of how capital oil is going to offset the 42b naira debt?any time line? |
Abrantie: If he ends up re-locating to Ghana, we'll have our Engineers (who are all trained in Japan and Germany) re-design the vehicles from scratch.ermmm...what is preventing the japan, german, space trained ghanaians from designing and manufacturing there own cars now? |
Dis Guy: come again... you know how I feel about the company since it started? how ?hehe bros i am not new to nairaland let us forget that one. |
Dis Guy: you jump all these states in the East and SS to lagos, what does the govt of lagos want to d with a bus?>anambra state purchases most of their vehicles for state functionaries, schools, refuse trucks from the company.i know at least three private bus coys that do too so it is not like people do not patronize it just that not as much as expected.actually some of those sure p cars were sourced from there as seen from some there buses inl lagos.however hey i know how you feel about the company since it started so no suprised by your negative statements lol. |
onatisi: i think u are right ,this is even the first time i wil be hearing about this company, what they need to do is to embark on aggressive marketing and sensitse the ppl about their company and also try to offer some credit facilities for ppl willing to buy.they should employ more marketers too on both salary plus comission basisi think private bus companies would not have much fuss buying ivm cars if it is proven to be durable, cheaper and parts easier to get (i mean it is produced here) which turns to easier maintanance than foreign ones.every private coy is interested in cutting running costs so it would not be hard to patronise ivm(unless private bus coys have an already running contract with foreign cars).forget govt patronage those guys are out to look for where they would make money. |
by the has capital oil started operations?i do not think i have seen their trucks lately. |
Kslib: Are you plain stuupid or what?? If you didnt check his profile to see his other posts, would you have known he was been sacarstic? So i should go on checking peoples profile before i reply. I understand sacarsm when i see one,but atleast he should have left a clue just like other people normally do.. I said my post remains valid cos the for-biafra/n igbos clearly agree with him.. Why cant you just understand something for once, yes,he was been sacarstic but they still agree with him and my message is for them and remains valid..haba ..i still repeat you are not bright.i know the character because i have argued with him on this nairaland before.so you need a clue to know when someone is sarcastic?ok even at that the 'winking' smiley did not give you any hint?which pro biafra/igbo agreed with him?the 3 likes?has it occured to that those 3 likes are people who sided with his sardistic sarcastic comments?look if one makes a mistake the best thing is to accept it and move on instead of being sturbbonly adamant.you have written to address them, address who?the sarcastic writer or the igbos that had nothing with what was written.thunder fire fg for the poor educational system in the country. |
i think i have seen ekeson, orizu, autostar motors using ivm branded cars on some occasions.i think they need agressive marketing drive not only nigeria but in neigbouring african countries.most government agencies that buy all those foreign cars ivm can make do it because of overvaulation kick backs. |
akpomeme: I hope this is the first step In prosecuting this criminal who wanted to steal a hard working man's business. They in the banking sector all do these things. CBN should look beyond access bank. I hope Aig follows too. Arrogant bastards.you mean imkhoukode?yea i agree too he needs to face his own music but don't you think ubah also has some issues that needs answers? |
Kslib: What's my business with his/her former post.. I replied based on his/her post on this thread.. Ok,even if it was sacarsm,he/she got 3likes from people who didn't think it was sacarsm(FIGURE THAT OUT),so my post remains valid till eternity!!!you are not really bright you know.someone from another ethnic group makes a sarcarstic post about igbos with intent for people to make fun at igbos while reading his post as shown by the 3 likes you said you still say your post which you were attacking him for 'implying that igbos are special'is still valid?are you a kid?are your anaylitical skills that low?no wonder they say educational system in the country has gone to the dogs. |
Kslib: Just look at how to put the word backward blacks as if igbos aint black.. This inferiority complex of a thing is one major problem many black people have.. Always trying to claim something rather than trying to something so that others will claim them.. Ok,lets assume your jewish claim is true,my friend check the guys former posts and tell me if you think the guy is igbo.don't just jump into thread and spew thrash.can't you detect sarcasm if you see one? |
i think cosmas maduka is actually lucky that he is not being taken to court.what he did is almost similar to what the likes of okey nwosu, ibru, akingbola and the likes did. |
Nwogbe: @ Op u have been forgiven, go and sin no more.you dey mind them.what is coincedentally the passengers that entered the car were all muslims or buddhists? |
Symphony007: What does bauchi need an airport for? What economic importance will an airport serve the state? Is it of any strategic importance economically that needs a direct airport? This money can be put into better use like water for villages, subsidies for farmers and even roads both urban and feeder, schools and many more!! This airport craze is getting ridiculous!!a lot of nigerian politicians do not think about everyday grassroot people. |
aryzgreat: LoooooooooooooooooooLyou should know that ppmc, nnpc etc are all govt run organisations hence where dem full there.you should ask how many of them are in private coys. |
i doubt ribadu or elrufai commands the same following as buhari in the north especially. |
caleb olubolade should resign if he has any atom of integrity. |
Merger: New party considers Ribadu, el-Rufai for 2015 January 27, 2013 by Niyi Odebode 2 Comments Nuhu Ribadu and Nair el-Rufai Nuhu Ribadu and Nair el-Rufai | credits: Opposition parties in merger talks are shopping for a young northerner with a pan-Nigeria disposition that can be fielded as a presidential candidate in 2015. SUNDAY PUNCH’s investigations showed that the search was part of the plan of the merger partners, if the Congress for Progressive Change Presidential candidate in 2011, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) dropped his ambition. It was gathered that the opposition parties might shift attention to a former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, and the Action Congress of Nigeria presidential candidate in 2011, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu. It was, however, learnt that the search was not restricted to the two as it would be extended to technocrats, with progressive disposition. Such a candidate, it was gathered, must be able to take on President Goodluck Jonathan or any other politician that would be the flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party in 2015. A chieftain of the CPC, who spoke in confidence with our correspondent, said, “We are working on a plan B. If Gen. Buhari does not contest, the parties will shift attention to younger candidates. “Our search will be extended to non-politicians, including young technocrats from the North. El-Rufai and Ribadu will be among the pool of candidates who will be screened.” Buhari, had after the 2011 elections said he would not contest again having contested three times and failed. But at the inauguration of the CPC merger committee on January 16, 2013, Buhari said the outcome of the merger would determine his 2015 ambition. It was earlier reported that Buhari might drop his presidential ambition as parties in the merger had an initial understanding that leaders must be ready to make personal sacrifices for the success of the merger. Such a sacrifice, it was gathered, might see Buhari dropping his presidential ambition, if it would thwart the merger plan. An aide of el-Rufai, who pleaded anonymity, told our correspondent that, “There have been various speculations. There was a report that there was tension between Gen. Buhari and el-Rufai. There is nothing of such. “The former minister is concerned with the success of the ongoing talks among some opposition parties.” Efforts to get Ribadu did not succeed as calls to his mobile telephone did not go through, neither did he respond to a text message sent to him. A member of the PDP Board of Trustees, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, had said the merger plan by opposition parties would not stop the PDP from emerging victorious in 2015 elections. Iwuanyanwu described the move as one that would neither pull PDP down nor succeed. “As a democrat, I should sound a note of warning; I have read recently about the coming together of some political parties. They are not coming together on the basis of ideology. They are coming together because they are afraid that unless they gang up, PDP will win the elections in 2015. This is a wrong political calculation.” The parties involved in the merger have however accused the PDP of frustrating their plan. They said the merger plans had driven the PDP-led Federal Government to resort to tactics aimed at tarnishing the image of key opposition leaders. http://www.punchng.com/news/merger-new-party-considers-ribadu-el-rufai-for-2015/ |
Lord Naya: @Asha those projects are captured in the 2013 budget, you can read up the Imo 2013 budget. I must emphasize that the SERIOUS CONSTRUCTION WORK IS ONGOING AT THE HUGE NSU FACTORY, STANDARD SHOE FACTORY OWERRI, BY THE ITALIAN INVESTORS, AND 500HECTARES RICE MILL IDEATO BY TAILAND INVESTORS. OGUTA BLUE LAKE TOURIST RESORT IS ALMOST COMPLETED, THE Environmental Impact Assessment for the Shell-Chevron $3.5billion giant gas plant has been completed. DESIGN OF THE INTERNATIONAL AUTO, ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC MARKET NAZE IS ALMOST COMPLETE. The investors for the Imo Rubber Limited has been reached. Funds have been set aside for these projects in this year budget.nigeria has made learn not to believe any project until they come to fruition. |
i guess the spare parts of those innoson products would be much more readily available and cheaper. |
PROUD-IGBO:danm true talk. |
Lord Naya: @ Dede you are confused village man, you have continue to spread your lies without showing any fact. I appeal to all to ignore the disruptive tantrums of this fellow. The PDP minister admitted to the fast transformation of new owerri and indeed Imo state into paradise yet this fellow out of envy comes here to spew trash. DO ASK THOSE THAT TRAVELLED HOME IF THEY WERE NOT HAPPY AND SHOCKED BY THE FAST DEVELOPMENT OF IMO STATE. FROM THEIR ANSWERS DRAW YOUR CONCLUSIONS. Imolite can't be deceived by the already failed fallacious propaganda being executed by PDP agents. IMO NO N'AKA CHUKWU.bros imo modern poultry and imo rubber estates are yet to be revatilized.do not rely on those write ups .it makes your case weaker |
Nightshift: How do you know that Abia state government has built a road leading to the power plant? There was a story on NL last year about how Prof. Barth Nnaji was not happy with gov. Orji over the governor's unwillingness to build road(s) to the power plants. Besides, you says that you live in Enugu. Have you been to Aba(the power plants site) recently ? Are you sure of your claims here?http://fmi.gov.ng/media-center/galleria/photo-galleria/?file=National+Good+Governance+Tour%2FNGGT+Abia%2FGeometrics+Powers+Station%2F&lg_offset=0 |
Dede1: Let us for a moment assume that what you had stated, in terms of monetary gains to Imo State, is remotely true. There must be, at least, one Imolites who would pause and say ADAPALM is a gold mine after all. I hope what Europeans think about Africans are can not possibly true regardless of the level of their education.actually labaran maku said that that amount is quite small for a project like adapalm which i personally agree with but until that an imolite comes out and with a better agro business model(with experience to back it up with)we would have to live with it until we imolites change our 'white collar job chasing mentality' and start developing our entrepreneurial side to issues.that we are education loving people does not mean we should not be entrepreneurial. |
Dede1: There was a discussion surrounding the sell or lease of ADAPLAM which I was lucky to join. The issue centered on how Roche will bring heaven to earth for Imo State people through ADAPALM. I injected the idea that Roche is not a corporation run by bunch of airheads. The people at Roche knew there is huge profit to make from the deal. The profit shall be taken to the country of Roche parent country not Imo State.well i know that the major profits would be taken to the parent country of roche however i know that the agreement is to pay imsg 20 million naira monthly throughout the duration of the 10 year lease. |
Maku calls for ban on ‘tokunbo’ as NGGT team visits first indigenous Auto Manufacturing Plant. : January 26th, 2013 : Latest News, Press Releases INNOSON Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) Co. Ltd, The Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku has said that if emerging indigenous car manufacturers are going to remain in business there is then the need to ban the importation of fairly used vehicles, commonly known as ‘Tokunbo’ into the country. Speaking in Nnewi, Anambra State when he led members of the National Good Governance Tour on an inspection of the INNOSON Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) Co. Ltd, the Minister said if 30 percent of the vehicles in Nigeria are sourced from the company, it would be able to expand and meet the demand in the country. The Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku alighting from one of the buses manufactured at INNOSON Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) Co. Ltd, Nnewi, Anambra State The Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku alighting from one of the buses manufactured at INNOSON Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) Co. Ltd, Nnewi, Anambra State Mr. Maku further urged Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of government to begin to implement the resolution of the Federal Government to patronize the company. “There is need to encourage him (Innoson Group Chairman, Chief Innocent Chukwuma) because for a long time many Nigerians attempted to achieve what he has done by setting up assembling plants and seeking technical transfer such as Peugeot and Volks Wagon. This is not an assembling plant, it is a manufacturing plant”, the Minister emphasised. The Minister also used the occasion to point out that the President’s power supply programme was already working quoting the INNOSON Group Chairman, Chief Innocent Chukwuma who said that the company was now sourcing 80 percent of its power needs from public supply, which Mr. Maku noted was as a result of the increase in power generation in the country. It would be recalled that at the commissioning of the factory by President Goodluck Jonathan during his maiden official visit to Anambra State, Chukwuma had prayed the President to quicken the process of fulfilling the promise of boosting electricity in Nnewi, adding that efficient power supply would energize the hundreds of industries that have made Nnewi the Taiwan of Africa. Guiding the team on a tour of the factory, the INNOSON Group Chairman, Chief Chukwuma said he rolls out 300 vehicles monthly from his factory. He also said that over 7,000 workers are under his employment across his 4 factories including those for waste bin and plastic production. According to Chukwuma, exporting of the IVM vehicles has already commenced. Ghana, he said for instance, has ordered 200 units of his vehicles and here in the country, the Chief of Army Staff recently ordered 20 units. Cross section of 14 seater buses manufactured at INNOSON Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) Co. Ltd, Nnewi, Anambra State Cross section of 14 seater buses manufactured at INNOSON Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) Co. Ltd, Nnewi, Anambra State Apart from their durability and the availability of spare parts, the INNOSON Chairman said the vehicles can be purchased for as low as 1.7million naira. He also informed that the company has certification from the National Automotive Council (NAC), the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) and the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON). While appreciating the Peter Obi Administration for his support as well as the Bank of Industry (BOI) for the loan facility given to him to kick start the factory he said that the Anambra State Government was presently the company’s largest client. The company has been enjoying BOI’s support to access cheap loans since 2004 when it had only 500 staff. Also, the company was able to access National Automotive Council fund to expand its vehicle plant. He therefore urged MDAs and government at all levels to encourage made in Nigeria Goods. He lamented that though he had approached the Federal Capital Development Agency (FCDA) to patronize his waste disposal bins, the Agency still imports them from Germany. According to Chukwuma he had even provided the Agency with a truck load of complimentary waste bins for a trial. Some of the vehicles manufactured at the plant include 14, 26 and 35 seater- buses, double cabin pick up vans and Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs). http://fmi.gov.ng/maku-calls-for-ban-on-tokunbo-as-nggt-team-visits-first-indigenous-auto-manufacturing-plant/ http://fmi.gov.ng/media-center/galleria/photo-galleria/?file=National+Good+Governance+Tour%2FNGGT+ANAMBRA+STATE%2FINNOSON+VEHICLES+MANUFACTURING+COMPANY+LIMITED+NNEWI%2F&lg_offset=0 |
eGuerrilla: I don't have a problem with this fatwa.na real fatwa be that. |
Dede1: I seriously love your approach in this discussion but you should equally remember where we started. It is a plain truth that government should not run these parastatals however, it was only an entity such as government that had the wherewithal to erect and run them given the level of our societal progress.i do not know about aluminium in inyishi and brick in umuna but as someone from avutu i know there are issues about imo modern poultry that is in court(i am quite aware that ohakim also had the same problem with that court case)so i guess rochas could not just enter there and do what he did in itc and adapalm.i have actually heard him(rochas) saying the govt is about reaching agreement on that court case with the person that filed the suit(this was november last year).as for indigenous local investors taking over the adapalm or any agricultural plantation let us be honest dede you adapalm to be used as some kind of guinea pig?which local agric business co do you know?you and i know how big adapalm is and what is to be done there should be beyod just tapping red oil and selling but also making use of by products of the palm tree for other uses(like production of soap).unless of course you have obasanjo in mind hehe. |
Dede1: The statements in the above post are borne out of ignorance. I was born and raised in Owerre and native of a village few miles from Owerre town. A young from Unuguma is married to my cousin and large part of New Owerre belongs to the people of Umuguma. I knew when we use to drive to her father’s compound through the track roads in 1980.i do not know about roche and ginika fronting for rochas(would be bad if it is true) but i am sure adapalm and itc are on lease and not sold.in fact this is where i even blame rochas because as someone whose dad was once ssg in imo state i know the kind of rot(stemming from free loader mentality) that go on in these parastatals.question for you dede is why should a big palm plantation and a transport company be run as parastatals?it is high time we clean our minds from this civil service mentality we have in imo state.left to me i would have even sold adapalm to guys who are into serious agro business(let us be honest dede adapalm was not making any dime for imo state).as for itc i probably would have done the same thing rochas did (of course not using my company as front) |

Yet deluded fun seekers are trying to tell me that 6 to 15 months of Okorocha regime in Imo State had blossomed New Owerre. What a folly. Dede1: New Owerre has been in grove when Rochas Okorocha was a thug in Jos, Plateau State.that is lie dede.i am quite aware of how new owerri was as at 2008.amongst the past governors it was udenwa that did something there.people i know that travelled to owerri let me in on some structures i know that did not exist as the time i left owerri.the main issue they said is a problem was security. |
