honestly i just get tired of the focus on urban areas(not as if fantastic is being done anyway)to the detriment of rural areas as if people living there are subhuman. |

manny4life: I just love how Nigerians argue, people can immediately look at an uncompleted (still in production) bldg and immediately predict that safety and security is lagging... Madam minister, abg continue your work, leave all the haterz with their hatorade, let them drink and suffer. Before we run, we must learn to crawl, then walk... Let them bring the airport online, when it become 100% viable, then we can talk of expansion plans. JFK, LHR, ATL, etc did not have plans, it was growth that prompted it.are you sure about that? |
Abagworo: LMFAO. Go to the culture zone and learn about my work on Igbo unity. I'm only saying the truth which we all know deep inside our heart. You don't need a sooth-sayer to know that. It does not in any way mean we are not all Igbos. Ngwas and Abiribas speak differently, have different ideologies and culture but are all Igbos.on a more serious not when you say that imo and anambra are different according to those factors you listed two parts of imo are singled out.the are the orlu and ideato axis. |
obyrich: Please take Abia State off that list.Abia as at today is safer than some states in the US where a psycho can wake up in the morning and gun down dozens of innocent people. Our problem in Abia is not security unless you guys are living in the past. ![]() |
redsun: The main thong they need in rural areas is electricity. A country that is not in control of its electricity supply in the 21sts century is a failed country,it doesn't matter whether it is the city or village.i do not think electricity is the only main thing.there should be no difference in schools, health care, quality of roads etc in the urban areas and in the rural areas. |
almost all the remodelled aiport have the same design.the benin own looks like this. |
Abagworo: Not really corporate. He's competing with Terry G and Denrele in awkward fashion.what is wrong in that? |
re@lchange:mehn the thing is getting tiring.just drive about 5km away from state capitals and some big towns and you begin to wonder went back to 19th century. |
Is there any way we can mandate our governors to focus infrastructural developments more on the rural areas than urban areas?there is always this talk about rural urban migration and i feel this would help to reduce it. Not everyone would want to live in the state capital or the largest city in the state you know. |
Ms_Steph: Typical igbo pple names. Purity keh.so mercy johnson na igbo abi? |

Merger: We expect other parties to dissolve into ANPP —Ibrahim Category: Inside politics Published on Monday, 21 January 2013 05:00 Written by Ahmed Mohammed, Bauchi Share Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim Former Governor of Yobe State, Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim, has explained the position of the All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP) in the proposed merger of opposition political parties in the country, saying ANPP expects other parties to give up their identities and collapse their structures into that of the ANPP to form a mega party. He said this is because the ANPP being one of oldest parties in the country; is older than all the parties lined up for the proposed merger and has structures from the grassroots up to the urban areas in all parts of the country. Senator Ibrahim who made the statement at an interparty rebuilding committee meeting for the North East sub region in Bauchi said for that reason, the party will not be expected to join others in the current effort to merge political parties but would expect others to join its structure. Ibrahim said the party will only support merger without condition because all the political parties that were talking of merger are new parties that came after ANPP was formed long ago, and solicited the cooperation of the members to build the party. Chairman of committee, former Governor of Kano State Malam Ibrahim Shekarau on his part explained that the aim of the meeting was to unite members of the party to carry out a national survey of the party in their effort to rebuild the party ahead 2015 general election. Shekarau said the idea of setting up a 21 member rebuilding committee came after a committee set up by the national leadership of the party went round the country and identified problems of the party and proffered solutions to the numerous problems bedeviling the party. He said the committee was divided in to three to ease their assignments in all the six geo political zones of the country. Chairman Board of trustee of the ANPP Senator Ali Modu Sheriff reiterated the commitment of the national leadership of the party to address the problems of funding, lack of office accommodation and unity of members. One time governor of Kano State, Senator Kabiru Gaya and former ANPP Board of Trustees (BOT) chairman, Alhaji Gambo Magaji, stressed the importance of unity of the party in order to address the problems of the country and to save it from its present socio economic woes. http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/index.php/politics/48936-merger-we-expect-other-parties-to-dissolve-into-anpp-ibrahim |

Wadeoye: Igbos have never voted for Buhari and they wont in 2015 because their own definition of leadership is different and very uncivilized. Hence, it is not the killing in the north that changed their mind but rather their usual hatred for other tribes and religion. Wadeoye: Igbos have never voted for Buhari and they wont in 2015 because their own definition of leadership is different and very uncivilized. Hence, it is not the killing in the north that changed their mind but rather their usual hatred for other tribes and religion.suit yourself. lagcity: Bros, don't even go there. If Nigerians vote out of sentiment, Buhari will win. Out of sentiment, no Northerner (except Benue & Plateau) will vote for a Southerner but approximately half of Southerners will vote Buhari. Jonathan shld pray Nigerians don't vote out of sentiment. If they do, he doesn't have the numbers.you really believe that?you seem to underestimate what the average southern guy on the street feels about buhari(especially after that 2011 fiasco).i am not talking about me and you that can have intellectual discourse.i am talking about the average food seller, trader and taxi man out there(who usually make up the bulk of voters normally).yes he would definitely win the ne,nw and some parts of nc(not sure about southern kaduna though if you are aware of the disposition of these people).the fact remains that most of the people that died during that election crises have relations down south and news(probably half truths)spread fast.i repeat do not underestimate the perception angle in nigeria. |
lagcity: THEY PLAN TO RIG! Don't you get it?most nigerian voters are not really enlightened as they vote out of sentiment.that is where buhari would have a problem.whether rightly or wrongly the average southerner view about buhari has deteriorated the more after all those killings in the north(including corpers) after the 2011 elections.never rule out perception when it comes to voting in nigeria. |
GARRI (x7):a lot of people have been using this phrase lately.i guess people always using this do not have villages. |
lagcity: Soludo is on the money on this one. Intellectuals are avoiding politics but they don't know that by doing so, they are toying with the future of their kids and grandkids. Can one imagine top notch people like Fashola and Dr. Fayemi avoiding politics only to end up b1tching about how touts are ruining the country? It is ridiculous.some of the m feel the best thing is to relocate to another country to continue with their life. |
Mr. Globe:you are very funny.you talk as if obi going for another term. |

MKO Abiola called the bluff of Igbos and what happend. He won the election without Igbos voting for him.i guess you should grow up before making stupid statements. |

funny thread. |
Ileke-IdI:you are not getting the crux of the argurment between Freeglobe and geez. this is what geez wrote that Freeglobe is arguing against geeez: How much will it cost a ritualist that can extinguish fifty people to kill one informant worth just N5m?read the first sentence of the second paragraph of what geez wrote. |
