Andre Uweh: Sorry, I was replying Asha80. His reply to my post looked insultive. Because you brought it on yourself.I have never felt like saying this kind of things to you even when we hotly disagreed on the zoning nonsense of Imo state governoship that brought in an outright idio"t in Ikedi Ohakim but this thread has really riled me up. Onlytruth: I'm not comfortable with this thread.
Bro Andre, wetin bro Beaf do na?
We want Anioma state, no doubt, but Beaf is not fighting it. No need for this at all. Exactly. |

Andre Uweh: My brother, do not insult me for coming up with a rebuttal to lies about my people. Some folks in Delta Igbo region are quick to buy lies told them by enemies of Ndigbo. Allow them let them buy it now.Why are you giving yourself headache when the people you are giving your headache to does not seem to care. Like i said go back to that thread and deal your issues with beaf rather open another thread for another round of st^upid ethnic bashing. Andre Uweh: Anya bewe, imi ebewe (Igbo proverb). What affects one Igbo in the West affects the other Igbo in the east. Not when they are not pulling their own weight. What if anyone of them comes here now and says he or she is ok with the status quo what then happens? |

Ibime: State creation is only a problem in the presence of corruption.
In the absence of corruption, it is desirable. Sociologists beleieve that the smaller the unit, the better the Government. I can agree to that when those smaller units generate their own revenue to run their affairs rather than running to abuja to beg for funds. |

Fela Kuti MKO Abiola Ken Saro Wiwa Awolowo Nkem Akunyili Ribadu

Beaf: And you are so fcked up its like talking to a donkey, maybe you actually need a lamp to look for your brain. Damn! First you tell us you are an American that can observe Nigerians from afar, then you end it with "you people".
You say you are an American. Have you ever witnessed US governors trooping to the White House for monthly wages to run their states? You see that in Nigeria and you don't think it is strange for governors to run to Abuja every month. No, instead in your massive foolishness, you conclude that corruption is the reason Nigerians are poor? Have you ever heard of "chain of responsibly?" If the governors get free money from Abuja, they don't have to do nada and they are responsible Abuja, rather than to the people.
Our false federal structure is the reason the country is under developed. And it is because the country is under developed that the people are poor. It is as easy as two plus two for Christ sake! Corruption is a bad thing, but it doesn't make countries poor, otherwise Italy would not be in the G8. Poor state structures, lack of organisation and the lack of developmental institutions are what make countries like Nigeria poor.
PS: I bet you you just searched google for those pics and you have never been to those places (you don't talk like someone that has set foot in Nigeria). Olodo. American donkey. You know beaf i keep telling people that naija will not likely change as we want it to change until free money from the centre is stopped.States should(and can)generate their own revenue even including states that are classified as poor. One the reasons why a lot of the governors in nigeria are who they are is because of the free money they get from abuja. This kind of arrangement attracts the criminally minded in the society.Like i always say as the country is saying it wants to fight corruption it has to create and enviroment that 'discourages' corruption so that the fight against corruption would be much easier. Like you also said italy despite being amongst the most developed countries has a history of corrupt individuals but the system of governance there discourages it. Left to me self LGA should not be allocated any money. They should generated their own revenue. |

EzeUche22: Aba is a dirty place. I was there in January. Trashy city but that is expected of a commercial city. It is not meant to look clean, but to be profitable. Forget that yarn.New york is a profitable city but cannot be regarded as trashy. Aba situarion can only be solved by the indegenes and residents. However this can only be done by someone who cherishes aba with all his life and not some governor as since the ouster of Mbakwe no military administrator or Governor has taken that town seriously. |

Brazilian Obinna is spelt Obina. . . . you probably mean Victor Obinna Nsofor who was once played in Brazil with Internacional. . . Ibime it is not Obinna Nsofor.I have seen the face of the Obinna'Obina' in a match shown on dstv.He went to my secondary school and i am aware of when he travelled to Brazil. The 'Obina' written os his shirt is immaterial |

Onlytruth not only nnewi people. I suspect that the mbaise people do not really bother themselves much with autonomous community or clannish arrangement. They seem to embrace themselves whether aboh, ahiazu or ezinihitte. In not for the fact of the present 'allocation sysndrome' we are practising i suspect the mbaise local council would have remained one and quite formidable if local council were to generate their own revenue for the running of their council. |
Its better you speak english to them early, they are going to learn it later anyway, so why not start now. They will pick up the local dialect in the school, social settings. I think speaking english early helps them settle into academics and accept the already regular words early. That's why kids now seem more clever than before.
mehn this is daft reasoning.which kids are clever?so speaking english makes one clever abi?
by the way who is going to teach them local dialect in school?the same kids in their class that also come to the school speaking english?or the teachers that say no vernacular
i keep telling people kids btw 0 to 8 yrs can learn to speak 3 to 4 languages without confusing one for the other. |

ChinenyeN: First, I want to say that I agree with the view that 9jaganja put forth. BUT, if they insist on going forth with this, then I hope they understand that they simply can't just relocate a people like that. They must also properly accommodate and provide them reparations. Do they have the budget for that? Do they monetarily have what it takes to properly execute this project? They have to keep in mind that this is a people's land they are just ransacking like this. It will raise deep sentiment, and more especially, it'll intensify this Igbo-Ijaw situation. How will it intensify igbo-ijaw situation if 'igbos' are not involved? |
