One of these days he will make an unpardonable blunder which will dent buhari image I think the post of a spokesman of a president should be left for someone drilled in image laundering and not just a journalist |

doctokwus: It's a shame indeed as an ardent supporter of PMB to see some of his nominees tainted by clear cases of corruption. It should also be a source of great concern, from whichever angle one looks at it, that a govt we hold so dear, headed by a man some of us bliv is incorruptible will condone a situation where party members who have served in govt positions in the past, with documented allegations of corruption against them do not get an ordinary invite by d efcc , but members of d opposition are invited and in a typical Nigerian way of doing things are paraded before d media by d same efcc, yet we are sure we neither see a courtroom or get convicted. Trust and bliv in a man cannot blind us to the fact that some things are not just right. I particularly are familiar with this case of prof Anwukas dismissal then from IMSU and its either PMB really wants to ridicule the Imo people or he is not as circumspect in his choice of cabinet members as the noise that was made then that he was. We refuse to allow d sacrifices made to see this change materialize be wasted. wonder why he dropped Festus who was in his transitional team fir anwuka |

Their unhealthy population in the east needs to be tamed. same way they our population over there is also seen as outrageous..iif the economy of anambra booms expect non indigenes to increase..it is inevitable..not sure how you want to tame them.. |

Bishop42: This problem is not exclusive to River Igbos. We do it here in Anambra and anywhere else , we call them tax collectors. Tax collectors are one of the most difficult people to deal with tax extortionists collectors indeed..how come it was no longer happening when wike left office?how come after he left you now only pay your legal fees after that no ikwerre youth backed by an lga chairman would come to disturb you with illegal fees unlike before?again I tell you ask people who lived or are living in obi akpor lga what used to happen under you exemplary nyesom wike |

Mind you if I were a governor today no single illegal structure will be spared. I would rather die or resign than to allow people break the law. who is talking about illegal structure?do you even know what I was alluding to? I am talking about brazing extortion of Igbo biz men building houses through things like 'bush entry' and the likes and active encouragement of nyesom woke then..do you know how much extortion that where going on then including those trucks and ' gwongoro' that Igbo biz own?ask any Igbo person you know that lived or lives in obi akpor to tell you what happened under wike |

Bishop42: Yet you guys allowed a man who said worst things to be the leader of this country and is being defended by Northerners day and night.
A great quote by Nnamdi: "Any attempt by the hausa Fulani to remove Nyesom Wike as the governor of Rivers State,Biafra Army will revolt in the streets of Portharcourt,Biafrans cannot afford to Loose Rivers State To Dakuku Peterside who is a product of the Zoo"
This is the kind of people we need in Igboland,Middlebelt and the South this statement by kanu shows how funny and silly he thinks..maybe he should find out how his fellow Igbo bizmen and those that were constructing houses suffered when nyesom woke was lg chairman of obi akpor for 8 yrs..so pdp now is no longer product of the same zoo...useless threat |

VickJames: Igbos have been in the news this past week for both the good reasons and the bad reasons.
It is unfortunate that the bad reasons are more popular than the good reasons. I am just tired about the way we carry ourselves outside without strong personality inbuilt in us.
I am really disappointed at the way we engage in petty arguments with people who in the next few years will beg to be our friends. We engage in insults, cursing and other low-moral conversation with other tribes.
We should be the ones who will always think and find ways to solve our problems. We all know our history and we know where we come from. We know our genetic makeup. We know what we stand for and we know the direction where we should be headed.
Igbos wants to be in the news. Yes, you can see yourselves in the news. Are you happy now? All the tabloids are carrying you in the news. For what reason? The wrong reasons.
It is your kids that are making you proud while you adults are insulting yourselves online. Take alittle time and think for once who you really are.
Eri who had walked thousand of miles to this very place didn't walk here to argue with people. He walked to settle and make his life worthwhile. But we spend most of our times formenting trouble and looking for collaborators so that we can feel good and nice with ourselves.
Have you taken time and look at our present situation in the east? Have u thought of our present situation in the country? Do you think if you run now, you will get everything? Why run like cowards when you can fight like men? Why fight like unintelligent men you can fight intelligently. Why dominate in crude ways when you can dominate totally?
The way we are going, even the silliest countries will not recognise us because with the high amount of intelligence, we still take stupid actions. We always act with impulse. We act as if something is really biting us inside.
We have job to do in the east. Look at your brother's face and see who you really care about. Not more than the next 70years, you all will probably die and leave this world for your kids. But you might have ended up destroying for them and they won't see anything to do with the world.
Igbos have a good chance in succeeding in this planet and make the whole continent stand still. But we make silly comments and decisions which doesn't make us grow but sends us back to stone-age.
I don't believe Nigeria can help us. I don't believe the president is our saviour. I don't believe senators can relay our problems to the right authorities. I don't believe in our ministers. I don't even believe in our governors.
The people is believe in is us, the common people who reason with our heads and make the right strategies and decisions.
Our kids will curse us if we do nothing about the present economic state of the east. They will disrespect us when we grow old. When they will be insulted outside, they will come home and rain insults on us and our parents. Because we're not good parents.
Let's come together, no matter how small you can donate. Either by action, motives, strategy or otherwise, we should stop the Lagos and Nigeria dependency and work for our own economic self-reliance. This is the future and that's what we should be chasing. Bishop42: Notice how the yorubas (PDP and APC yoruba supporters) spoke in unity against the Fulani kidnappers and Eze ndi igbo thing. I bet if it were in Igboland some "Igbos" mostly the APC supporter will somewhow find a way to blame it on their fellow Igbos and spread the propaganda around. Here is one thing am certain is possible: No one would would say a word if HausaFulani decide today secede from Nigeria. Thesame yoruba bashing you for wanting Biafra will say or do nothing. Thesame Igbo APC bashing you for supporting Nnamdi Kalu will tell you it's within their right to ask for Arewa republic. It will spread like wild fire all over the North, minority Northerners who against the movement will keep silent and hope it doesn't end badly,in the end we will all go our seperate ways without noise. Keep fighting for One Nigeria while they continue killing and disgarcing you left,Right and center |

kingsolex: I am proudly omo odua from osun but I am presently living in the north, An average Igbo being is arrogant, full of empty pride and ego but as a psychologist I understand and live with them but respond with fire when they cross my red line. to be honest the eze ndi-igbo messed up in akure incidence instead of him to respect the oba and lay low for a while and pull strings while at it, he decided to turn the deji of akure's levity to stupidity and the youths decided to protect their culture/heritage their tradition but instead of e-igbo warriors to correct their brothers they seem to have deliberately, blindly toed the eze's path. The fact that you spit on a Yoruba man 7 times and he did not react does not mean he is weak, we are peace loving people but I can promise you one thing fear is not in our dictionary but my Igbo brothers will see every calm reaction as trait of weakness that's a wrong notion. secondly the Igbo community pounced so hard on oba akiolu during the last election I keenly followed and even apologised on behalf of the oba, its not cause we are weak it cause we are peaceful in nature need I remind you no Yoruba man living and working in Onitsha will insult the obi of Onitsha and go scot free but you Igbos have such leverage why try to use is against us in Yoruba land?? now the akure youths having observed you people are rude kids that needs to be flogged to their right senses you Igbos now play victims, please to avoid another flogging... respect the Yoruba culture, obas and laws then you will have nothing to worry about, cause now the igbos are painting a bad picture of them on Yoruba minds. don't let other Yoruba's react ohh. just an advice. God bless Nigeria. what has this got to do with this thread? Do you want to be noticed or are you plain stupid? |

centje: Happy weekend, Oga spyder!
I think Coal city University has a new site at Emene, near the new bridge, Abakaliki road. I saw some beautiful houses being erected there.
Meanwhile, beggers and illegal kiosks and structures are flooding Enugu again. And Enugu is getting more and more congested, we may end up like Ph if the state of roads and road network is not urgently addressed. This Christmas is going to be more terrible then last year's. Areas like New market road, Nike road, this one is seriously killing business in that area and I think it's the worst in Enugu, big businesses like Nike lake resort is suffering severely, it's been marked for dualization but no action yet, other areas like Nowas, Ekulu Avenue, Artisan, Holy ghost, this one is as old as Enugu, lol , Kenyeta, Abakpa junction. I don't know about inside Abapka, I hardly go there but I think it's still the same sad story.
Eswama is still doing a great job, tho' street sweeping is still poor. I heard the vehicle that sweeps road works early in the morning before people wake. Eswama is also working in Nsukka and Udi, I dont know about Agbani. Their major challenge is that people aren't willing to pay the bills.
Street lights are maintianed tho' , and road maintenance is ongoing, but no State Road maintenance Agency yet. I like the idea of using cenment for inner small street Roads, someone suggested it some time ago. Its easier to execute and maintain, minimal skilled labourers. And residents of the streets can easily contribute little to maintain them. Streets residents come out on clean-up days to clear gutters and cut grasses, so I think they can come together for such road maintenance.
His Excellency, Hon. Ifeanyi, really has a lot of Facilities to maintain, a lot of uncompleted Project to work on, ICC, Secretariat, diagnostic centre, to some extent Centenary city, free trade zone, 'chima's property' is not yet back to the state, water project, many other things, at the same time people are looking up to him to start new projects, build more roads, work on rural areas, drive investments, rebuild schools, while we have oil sale going down and Enugu is now in Opposition. I really pity him and I hope he succeeds for the good of Enugu State. I dont think being in opposition should be an issue |
