Hi Guys

I have a couple of questions

1. I am already a Tier 2 Visa holder, and my wife is applying to join me. Do we need just £630 as the proof of funds or £1,575 (£945+£630)?

2. Would it affect my application one's bank account dips after the application has been made?

Please help @giselle237 @Justwise

Hi everyone.

Please which biometric centre has less crowds between Lagos and Abuja?

Hi everyone.

What is the implication if I don't include my flight tickets for my Tier 2 Dependant visa application, especially tickets of my travel to the wedding?

I have every other evidence ready, especially evidence of relationship.

Are the evidence of flying to Nigeria compulsory?

Then you just have to only worry about crossing the border.

I need the stamp for my Tier 2 dependant visa application. How do I prove to the ECO that I came into Nigeria for my wedding?

That is the main issue.

Officially, the border is closed, so there would be no one at the border to stamp your passport. Are you flying out of Cotonou Airport?

No. Coming in.

Thanks.

Are Nigerians currently allowed to pass through the border to Nigera?

Or is the border still closed to human traffic?

Please does anyone have an answer for this?

Hi.

I have tried asking this question on another thread to no avail.

Please If I come in through Cotonou to Nigeria will I get my passport stamped?

I'd really appreciate if anyone can provide this information.

Thanks.

Hi everyone. Quick question:

Are walk in appointments still available at the Lagos or Abuja TLS offices?

Also how do I go about getting a walk-in appointment?

Anyone please?

Can his friend in UK call on his behalf?

It's best he calls himself. Alternatively he can also send an email through the inquiry service... (One-time payment)

August 6

Then he should contact UKVI immediately. It's a paid service though.

Ok i understand... but you wont go and be labelling the pictures with date and time na saying this was just 2 weeks before visa application and all tht. Just have the pictures. Good luck

Thanks.

Have pictures together too. Dont wait to use only pictures from the wedding ceremony.

Sure. But most likely they'll be very recent pictures. I have 2 weeks before the wedding to take them and maybe a few afterwards.

I'll take some with several members of my family too.

It had been a long distance relationship.

Why exactly are you worried about date? Except there are other reasons bothering you like if the marriage would be seen as genuine.. are u goin to be newly married or u both have been married and didnt have a wedding certificate?
If u are goin to be newly married and then next you are applying for Tier 2 visa of which this newly married spouse too will make an application as a dependent, I think the greatest onus lies on you to prove the relationship is genuine.
The key lies in your hands to submit all and more to prove the genuinety. As the close date to your application seems to be bothering you. I totally understand that.

Thanks for the response.

My concern is whether the marriage would be seen as genuine. I live in the UK, while my fiancee lives in Nigeria. We have not seen each other since last year. But I have evidence that we have been on constant contact everyday.

Hi guys

I need quick advise on my wife's Tier 2 dependant application.

We will be getting our Court Wedding Certificate on the 21 of this month, along with pictures of the ceremony. Is it sensible to use the certificate to apply for the Tier 2 visa on the 28th (7 days later)? Or would it be prudent to wait another week?

Justwise Gisselle

Can anyone help with this please?

I’m going to advise you.
You can take it or leave it.

You see Cotonou? Avoid there!
All the people I know that flew from there all complained about maltreatment from border... to airport immigration officials ... to the airline officials. Infact a group of students were denied boarding via Brussels airlines for no tangible reason. They had to rebook with Ethiopian after many abeg abeg pleas! They made it known that they do not like Nigerians flying via their airport. They don’t use eye to see Nigerians even.

Just wait for airports to open & make your journey.
But if you want to go through unnecessary hassle, e go be...

No, CONVID19 test was not required from people I know.
Maybe it has changed now idk

Hi Skymoore1004

I might be travel through Cotonou, as I have no choice. (Long story). I'll be coming in from Europe.. what can I expect?

No it is not seamless, my hubby came in yesterday after doing covid test in his destination on getting to cotonou he was told the test is invalid that he must do another one before they let them go. he paid 100k CFA for the test, they collect dollar, euro and CFA. They will do blood and throat test and later collect you Niaja passport telling you to comeback in three days for the result because the result for the throat test doesn't come out instantly unlike the blood. He has just been complaining that he should have just remain in his destination instead of coming. I f you are coming to Nigeria thru Cotonou just hold enough cash and you have to be very vigilant with your luggages.

One question... Did your husband cross over without the passport or did he wait the 3 days?

So his passport was held for 3 days!!! That doesn't make any sense!

@Adaaam I've called the airline in Contonou to verify if Covid test is needed and the answer was no. The Covid test is only for returnees passing Cotonou.

So thos returning from Europe for instance would have to self-isolate in Cotonou and take a test?

Is it compulsory?
