It's mid night and heavy rains and I hear a the sound of glass breaking and my car horn....pick up my phone touch and a stick run straight to my dad's room to get the main door key, open his room door; and boom.....I see@$@$$#@$$2@#$_@, the really annoying thing is that I froze for like 3 seconds with touchlight in hands(wasn't with my glasses so really didn't see well) until my mum screamed at me to get out.......I feel so embarrassed and how do I get that image off my head...... It's my bad habit of not knocking before entering that put me in this situation but you can't blame me......am in my 20s and have never seen my nigerian parents intimate with each other plus I was raised in a semi deeper life family so am sure you understand how shocked and embarrassed am currently feeling. Just had to share this anonymously on nairaland probably to get it off my chest......

British airways is still on the rise and if you saw 545 for Economy grab it .
Ethiopian and Turkish are cheaper alternatives but remember Turkish tends to have a missing or delayed luggage issue i flew them once to save cost but the transfer and misusing luggage wasn’t worth it.Their on board food is better than BA though that’s a pro.

Also I don't think Ethiopian is allowed to enter UK at the moment

Pls confirm before purchasing

It was cancelled as far back as March

Turkish airlines was still allowed till April ending ,not sure of May (don't forget turkey is now being included in the UK red list)


Your surest bet is BA (though expensive but sure)

I was courteous tho but still stated my problems to them

If the tracker says your visa is still with the DMC and the time frame for response has passed , you can either call them and they will deduct your money or your pay small money for email and you can send a message to ukvi and they can tell you what is happening and possibly escalate things for you

You have to use the negative test result to get your QR Code at https://nitp.ncdc.gov.ng

Trust me, it will save you alot of stress at the airport.

Yes got a decision after 30 working days after numerous mails to them then got my visa 5 days after (partly due to easter public holiday)

They just told me after 30 working days that a decision had been taken and didn't explain why it took that long


Tell your friend to pls call them if the regular 15 working days has passed
Like call them and they will deduct the money from his/her credit card

when decision has been made u don't have to worry urself , my own was transferred to VAC and received by vac within 5min n I'm sure decision has been made last week or so ,

I wished I had seen this thread earlier

I called as instructed this morning around 10am and I was told a decision has been made (I guess yesterday night or this morning) and they said I should get a mail very soon or sms from my VAC.

However I still checked the status on the app now and it has not changed. It has not ticked green for transfer from DMC to VAC.

pls can someone enlighten me on this or what to expect next

they will take the main cost of the call in pounds, so you need a debit atm card when u are making the call. Then u can load 1k on ur normal phoneline.. when u place the call, they will ask for the details of ur card before putting u through to a personnel.... At the end of the call, they will charge ur atm card the cost of the total call.. if u speak for like 10 mins, it cud cost like 5 or 6k that will be debited from ur atm card.
So do not use an empty account/atm card.

Pls I had my biometrics on 17th Feb and since then till now my application has been with the decision making center
I have not gotten a reply
I have an exam in the UK next month and my proposed date of entry is 11th April .
I sent UKVI a message after the first 15 working days without a reply and was told they will escalate it to the Eco again and I should wait for another 15 working days. The latest 15 working days will expire tonight yet no sign of any approval/Disapproval from the Eco

I tracked it and it is still at the decision making center. This is highly frustrating for me as I submitted my application as far back as February 17 and till today no reply

I have just 11 days to my proposed date of entry and I have not heard anything (I have factored in the 10 day isolation period that was why I chose April 11 as entry date)

Pls I am so confused and very sad right now ?
