When people celebrate crime and military impunity, you know that country is already dead. Its just the date of the funeral we are waiting for |
Annabelkelvin:Have you seen any tribe in the south of Nigeria who are proud to be affiliated with Yorubas? |
seunmsg:Peace does not exist where there is "unity by force" |
Etere Ugba, etere ose Igbo land must be an independent nation |
Yyeske:Well he didnt kill anyone , the world has seen too many videos on youtbe of your Nigerian forces killing unarmed IPOB, who do you think they going to hate more? |
What is there to celebrate? That the whole world has seen that your joke of a Nigerian Army are only good at attacking unarmed people and torturing them but can get Shekau in 5 years? |
wirinet:The military can be deployed to aid the police in a situation such as protest and civil unrest But in Abia state, there was no protest or civil unrest |
"According to Nigerian terrorism act 2011, only a high court judge can declare a group a terrorist organisation" Two days ago, the Director of Defence information, Major General John Enenche release a press statement which he declared IPOB a terrorist organisation based on the following reasons: The formation of a Biafra Secret Service, claimed formation of Biafra National Guard, unauthorised blocking of public access roads and extortion of money from innocent civilians at illegal road blocksThe Army did not state any single act of terrorism that the BSS or BNG commited. How can the mere creation of organisation be an act of terrorism? So if I form an organisation called the 'Enugu secret service', automatically Im a terrorist? How can unauthorised blocking of roads and exortion of money be an act of terrorism? It is a criminal act, not a terrorist act. Militant possession and use of weapons (stones, molotov cocktails, machetes and broken bottles, among others) on a military patrol on Sept. 10, 2017Let us assume that the above actually happend. It has happend many riots, demonstrations and protests in the history of Nigeria. Why is it only IPOB that the Army decided to brand terrorists based on this? Why didnt the Army explain what a military patrol doing in a civilian area that is not a combatant zone? Why did the Army tell the public that what caused IPOB to pelt them was because they shot a young man in the leg? Physical confrontation of troops by Nnamdi Kanu and other IPOB actors at a check point on Sept. 11, 2017 and also attempt to snatch their rifles. Attack by IPOB members on a military check point on Sept. 12, 2017, at Isialangwa, where one IPOB actor attempted to snatch a female soldier’s rifle.’’Both these statements are the same thing The Army never explained what it meant by "physical confrontation" which could be anything. The attempt to snatch a weapin cannot be a terrorist act. It could be termed stealing or even criminal but it is not terrorist unless the snatching is being done in relation to a terrorist act. The Army did not explain anything The Army has labeled IPOB a terrorist group without explaining in detail any act of terrorism they commited. |
An ideology can never be defeated by force of arms. Im one Igbo man who believes that Nigeria, since its creation in 1914, has been disasterous for Igbos. I believe that Igbos, along with minorities who are comfortable with Igbos, should be an independent nation. I also have no doubt in my mind that if a referendum were held today, the vast majority of Igbos would vote to be independent of Nigeria. I have 3 friends, two of whom I have been trying to convince about Biafra for over a year. The third guy I lost contact with. In the 2 days since the Nigerian Army invaded Kanu's residence, all three friends have called me to pledge total support for Biafra. The scales finally fell of their eyes about what I told them that we Igbos are better of on our own. Even my own Grandmother who was an eyewitness to the horrors of the Biafran war is going to a Biafran womens meeting to protest over Python dance. Even some Igbos who only had a passive interest in Biafra are now new converts by the unecessary military brutality that followed Python dance. I believe that Buhari had been looking for a way to bring down Kanu and IPOB but nothing worked. They tried shooting IPOB members hoping that IPOB would take up arms, it didnt work They arrested and charged Kanu to court, Kanu came out on bail and held million man rallies They tried to revoke Kanu's bail, the courts were in recess. So Buhari did what he knew as an ex military man was sure to bring violence, he sent the military in as the dictator he is. Under the laws of Nigeria, the Army is not a crime fighting unit and they are not allowed to perfom military exercises in civilian areas in peace times. So the Nigerian Army had no business being at Nnamdi Kanu's residence. Before all this, IPOB was never violent, never killed anyone. The military invaded the place and caused mayhem in a peaceful place, they invaded the press centre in Umuahia and beat up journalists. A reign of terror decended on Umuahia just because Buhari doesnt like Kanu's style of agitation. The military opened fire on unarmed people killing many, the fall out of this massacre is the basis of the military saying that IPOB is terrorist organisation. Before the Army invasion, IPOB wasnt terrorist, after invasion, they are now terrorist. Herdsmen are not declared terrorists Niger Delta militants are not declared terrorists But IPOB that has not killed anyone or bear arms has become a terrorist organisation? The only terrorist in this situation are the Nigerian Army that are killing people and making IPOB swim in dirty water and provoking peaceful people to violence. Either way, the Igbo nation is ever marching to independence and no amount of intimidation or bullets will stop it! |
The BSS has always been an unarmed vigilante organisation which Nigerians decided to call a Biafran Army |
If Nigerians can celebrate the military invasion of a peaceful place and the killing of unarmed then it is time to admit that the union of Nigeria is useless |
seunmsg:GEJ declared military action in the NE to checkmate the armed Boko Haram that was rampaging On what grounds did Buhari have to deploy troops to SE that was peaceful? You call IPOB a terrorist organisation. Can you tell me one single act of terrorism they commited before this opration Python dance 2 came to forment trouble? IPOB are allowed to peacefully agitate which to a large extent they have done Nnamdi Kanu has already been charged to court So what was this use of military force for? Have the herdsmen killing people everywhere been declared a terrorist organisation? What Buhari did only made Biafra more credible because he is going to use it as ammunition in his arguments that Nigeria is not a nation |
What FFK said is most true. Nigerians are in the grip of the worst civilian dictatorship in Nigerian history. Those who care are the ones affected, the others who do not care are the ones who voted in Buhari. They are happy for Buhari to use the mostly Northern Nigerian Army to crush any voice of dissent and keep Nigeria under bondage Even the many Yorubas who claim to educated and sophisticated support military brutality because it is not their own people They support a dictatorial Buhari while asking for restructuring. Okeyoo! What goes around, always come around It may be the Igbo mans turn today, it might be yours tomorow |
Adminisher:You and who will fight to keep the Notherners in Nigeria? Because we Igbos love herdsmen attacks or because we like 'born to rule'? |
What do you expect from another Hausa-Fulani slave who only cares about begging for ONE NIGERIA and RESTRUCTURING even though it is glaring that neither one can ever exist together? |
My brother, forget about Nigeria or Nigerians, they are a lost cause. IPOB has largely been a peaceful organisation which the Nigerian Army invaded the home of the leader of the organisation because they knew it would provoke violence. The killings of IPOB MEMBERS since 2015 and 2016, IPOB remained peaceful The aurhorities then did what they had to do to to bring violence into the movement by invading Kanu's residence by the military A calculated attempt by Buhari to cause mayhem and paint IPOB as violent because he knew they would react. |
They can ban IPOB, but they cant ban chapter 4 of the Nigerian constitution which allows people to protest, demonstrate or agitate. The people know that politicians only care about themselves |
I dont know how true this is but chspter 4 of the Nigerian constitution makes it impossible to ban anyone from protesting or agitating |
thesolutions:Well explain to us how Nnamdi Kanu scamed the youths, not just saying he scammed them. Because he told the youths to seek independence from Nigeria? Did Zik, Awolowo, TOS Benson, MI Okpara and the other nationalists also scam the youths when they asked them to seek independence from Britain? |
Totodude:Had it been the North, particularly the core North, who had wanted "Arewa Republic" Nobody would have said a word, not even all these Yorubas who hate Kanu and IPOB. The North would have just gone their way The only reason the North has not left a long time ago is Oil money. |
Totodude: |
Gamesmart:If Igbos were rejoicing, where is it? Do you see any Igbo on the streets of anywhere in Nigeria jumping up and waving the green-white- green flag? Who would rejoice that a Largely Northern populated Army invades a peaceful part of Igbo land and killed people? Its not like Igbos have ever felt any warmth towards APC ot Buhari's government. Only a retarded person would actually support the military invasion of a peaceful area in a democracy |
iluvdonjazzy:It is the job of the police to arrest people, not the Nigerian Army |
Olisamarvis:Nigeria returned to dictatorship the moment the cattle rearing bigot of Daura took oath of office |
iluvdonjazzy:If people are supposed to be arrested for what they say, everybody would be in jail including Buhari |
laudate:You better google the Arewa statement again because the Arewa youths urged the federal govt to grant Igbos a referendum and that the quit notice was part of the process of helping Igbos get referendum As for following a political process to get a referendum, the Biafran agitators will not go through this process, not just because Nigeria was created via an illegal colonial process, but also because it is a waste of time. Even if Igbos some how got all its political representatives to suppport the idea of a referendum, they would still have to go back to the Nigerian national assembly to move a motion which just the Nw has enough votes to stop Even if the entire Southern Nigeria reps wanted referendum made part of the constitution, just the NW and NE have enough votes to stop it. The Nigerian national assembly has already been rigged in such a way that the NW abd NE have enough bloc votes to stop any bill, this why restructuring will never be possible in Nigeria. So a political process is a waste of time nobody is going to indulge in |
The Nigerian Army is only good at fighting unarmed people. They will never go to Sambisa |
One funny thing I dont understand is if the Nigerian government wants to arrest Nnamdi Kanu, why not go to his fathers palace gates and knock Since when is the Army used to arrest people where there is no war? |
The most laughable thing is that some Nigeria are celebrating the invasion of the Nigerian Army over an unarmed IPOB. If Nigerians are actually celebrating that their Army is fighting an unarmed, what will happen when they face an armed group? It is probably why to this day, the Nigerian Army has never been able to win any war without international help |
