BALLOSKI:This is to show you that how Nigeria classified IPOB a terrorist group is not how the rest of the world sees it. So its either Nigeria is right and the rest of the world wrong, or the other way round |
The dictionary definition of a terrorist organisation is: "An organisation that employs the use of violence to achieve a political aim" In other words, if IPOB was using violence to achieve Biafra, it could be termed a terrorist organisation. It should be noted that while hate speech can bring about violence, hate speech in its self is not violence. Violence has to contain an act, not just words. IPOB has been in a few violent clashes with the police, Army and other security agencies. Because the violence was as a result of clashes and not a calculated attempt to attack, in other to achieve Biafra , it is not an act of terror. Being involved in violence is not enough to tag one a terrorist, the person must be using the act of violence to further a political aim. IPOB has not used violence as a way to get Biafra. |
You have to hand it to Nnamdi Kanu, I dont know any non political figure who can pull the crowds he did. Under the rain or sun, people come out to hear his message of freedom. Anyone can kill a man, but no one can kill an ideology. My Igbo nation shall one day be an independent country, just a matter of time |
Good one from Huffpost. Im glad that the international media is helping to expose Buhari as the dictator and terrorist he is. |
Nice one from Ankio Brigs. |
Danladi7:The world has a way of judging who judt "talked" and those who move beyond talking to actually killing people such as Boko Haram and the Nigerian Army. |
SonofDevil:If someone threatens to bring the head of Trump to Texas, do you think Trump would order American Soldiers to Texas to kill unarmed Americans? |
During the June 12th blow up, OPC burnt a number of police station, killed some people, destroyed properties, but it was never declared a terrorist group or procribed The Niger Delta militants took up arms, destroyed Oil installations. They were never tagged terrorists, they were given amnesty Herdsmen have slaughtered people all over the place, they are not terrorist But IPOB with hardley any record of violence before operation python dance, bear no arms and has never killed anyone are tagged terrorists and proscribed. Ok, no worries |
What time did a court have to take a look at the evidence and make this declaration? I will await confirmation |
shukuokukobambi:The whole world has seen videos of your Nigerian brutality and killings and Im sure nobody takes you Nigerians or youemr so called joke of a democracy serious. Nigeria does not work as a nation, it will never be restructured or united. It will steadily get worse until there is nothing left. |
Look at people pointing and shouting at security personell, nothing is happening If it were Nigeria, shooting would start because of "confrontation" |
The man just said that the APC government doesbt care about the law except what they think is right or wrong Which is another way of saying that they are a dictatorship |
shukuokukobambi:Well thanks for reminding all that the names Kanu called the country pribably right. Where else do you get Armies invading civilian domain in peace times and shooting unarmed people? Those who are lucky are made to swim in dirty water, not even animals do that. Every wise person already knows the North will never agree to restructuring and those who trumpet restructuring are judt noise makers who dont have the spine to agitate for their sovereignty. |
really? Burning of Dangote trucks and mosques in 2015 is what? Bonfire? But you failed to say that the before those trucks were burnt, the Nigerian Army had arrived and shot people including a young girl. It was the sight of this that instigated people. Not that the burning of the Truck was a good thing but it was the Nigerian Army that brought violence into a peaceful thing same as they did with python dance in Abia. How is it that the two different occasions that IPOB was seen as violent, it was started by shootings by the Nigerian Army? So Yorubas should be prepared to physically attack the Igbos in their land Because they want restructuring or secession? Now I see How you guys reason. Be thankful that we don't reason that way in the Western part of Nigeria, home of the Yorubas. Its not a new thing. During the fall out if the June 12th elections, many Igbos were attacked and their businesses burnt or looted in Lagos and environs by Yoruba elements. |
EzeIgboNwaChukwu:No one gives uo on.their right to freedom except a slave |
Yyeske:London is not even near the ocean but ships dock in London because London has river thames that runs into the ocean. You dont have to be by the ocean to have a access to the Sea. A port can be built in Oguta in Imo because it has a big River to the sea. Another port can be bulit on Obuaku in Abia. Even Onitsha River port can wirk well if dredged to capacity. As for referendum, agitating for it is not illegal. Holding rallies for referendum is not illegal. The question is was IPOB violent in its rallies? Were they violent before the Nigerian Army came? I would rsther have a landlocked country where we can develop our river ports, manage our own affairs and trade with the world than be part of a hopelessly failed Nigeria where nothing works. |
diegwu01:Nobody died for Nnamdi Kanu. These guys could easily have been shot by the Nigerian Army fr another reason besides Biafra. The important thing to note is that the Army do not have the right to shoot unarmed people in a non combatant situation. Thw Army is set up to defeend Nigeria against external aggression. Internal aggression is for the police and the Army is only called in when the situation is beyond the control of the police. That was hardly the situation in Abia Everybody should be worried because when the Army leaves its constitutional role to start deciding who to shoot and not to shoot, it wont matter if you believe in Biafra or not, just being in the wrong place at the wrong time is all that is required for anyone to lose their life. |
If majority of Igbos will reject Biafra in a referendum, why is the federal govt afraid to give them referendum? Theres a big deifference between being land locked and having access to the sea. Anambra, Imo and Abia all have access ti the ocean same way that London has access to the ocean through the river thames. |
I love the spirit of our people |
igbodefender:You are saying the samething Im saying maybe without knowing it. Everyone will eventually have to choose between sapratism or no restructuring |
This is what happens when a dictatorial government uses the military that are trained to kill to do police duties in a democracy It should be condemned by all because any of us could be agitators tomorrow, maybe not about Biafra but something else, and wind up in a mortuary like them. Military violence in a democracy in a peaceful area should be condemned |
Gamesmart:In democracy, peopled are allowed their say. It might not be what others would to hear but people are allowed to express themselves. If the people talking cross a line and start making inciting or incendiary speaches, the law provides that the police may arrest and prosecute. But when the authorities decide to abandon the law and start using the Army for home invasions, that is absolutely wrong. How can the Army go to a place and shoot up the place in a democracy? This is an act everyone must condemn |
Nice one. The murderous terrorists known as the Nigerian Army are free to come out and shoot our unarmed mothers |
In every 12, there must be a Hausa-Fulani slave |
5 men who only care about themselves |
ElsonMorali:I can tell you something. Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB have not killed anyone and before this Python dance thing, IPOB had no record of violence. But all you wrote above are things that people who want restructuring must be willing to to because the North will be prepared to do much worse to see that Nigeria stays the way it is. |
There is a general consensus across across the SW/SE/SS which makes up Southern Nigeria that Nigeria has to be restructured. By restructuring, I mean the devolution of powers from the center to the zones, making them autonomous. But the problem is two folds. In other for Nigeria to be restructured, the current constitution will have to be changed. The government cannot just get up and restructure Nigeria, only the national assembly can do that. Also, the core North, the NW and NE, along with some in the NC are all against restructuring. The reason is not hard to see, the economy of Nigeria is mainly in the south, so a restructured Nigeria will shortchange the North. Any vote on restructuring Nigeria at the national assembly is certain to be defeated as NE and NW have more than enough voting power to do this. So what happens when the North forecloses any hope of restructuring? Southern Nigerians will either have to carry on according to the will of the North or agitate Nnamdi Kanu style. Like him or hate him, Nnamdi Kanu pulled a crowd of followers in the millions out on the streets and he didnt do that by trying to be politically correct all the time. The SW/SE/SS will have to do what he did in that regards. But what if the North still remains adamant that Nigeria will not be restructured no matter the protest? The inevitable truth is that each zone will have to seek self determination like Kanu. Ultimately, everyone in the south of Nigeria will have to either become an "Nnamdi Kanu" or become a slave |
Nigerians amaze me. A Nigerian is a person who thinks that they will have a strong, united progressive country through lawlessness, inequality, militarisation and falsehood. It will not work in a million years. A country were military are still shooting down unarmed people just because they dont like what they are agitating about is not a country by any stretch of the imargination I also laugh at people who talk about restructuring. Anyone who is looking for restructuring is just a person who has yet to come to terms that Nigeria is being controlled by a Northern oligarchy who dont want to hear anything called restructuring |
Shettima said that Boko Haram killed 22 people. Can he point to anyone IPOB killed? |
honourhim:Two things to note. World Igbo has been held outside Nigeria in places like London and America so I dont know what this big deal about Portharcourt Also, parts of present day Rivers are Igbo. Some people may not know this but places like Oyigbo used to be in old Aba division before they were carved into Rivers state |
Kennyprince:Buhari sent the Nigerian Army to assasinate Kanu. Why would Kanu present himself to be assasinated? |
