victord1st:You will wait for a log time because no police man was killed. This is how they said IPOB threw 2 Policemen into the River Niger but we never heard who they are |
OROSUNBOLB:Nnamdi Kanu not having any respect for the law is irrelevant. He already has his case in court and the courts will make that determination. What you should be worried about is if the security agencies in Nigeria respect the law. As for this useless question you asked about the military waiting for IPOB to acquire weapons, yes the should wait unless they have credible information that IPOB is the process of acquiring arms. A crime has to be commited before a person is criminalised. If the government decides to start going after dissenting groups just because of the mere assumption that they may one day acquire arms then that is illegal and dangerous. The law does not operate on mere assumptions You are a typical Igbo- all brawn and no brain! You guys suddenly just realise that Nigeria has laws and constitution and that it is not a 'Zoo'? Kanu and his Ipob followers are terrorists and they will be treated as such when caught eventually.Im entitled to call Nigeria a zoo if I want, infact, I dont know any Nigerian alive who has not called Nigeria one derogatery name or the other when things are not working. IPOB is not a terrorist organisation. I ask you to tell me any act of terrorism IPOB commited before operation python dance, you will not be able to tell me. The Nigerian Army just came to Aba to instigate a peaceful organisation to violence with military brutality |
charliboy654:I saw the video of some people looking for Hausas, I didnt see anyone with machete, I saw sticks. I was informed that the boys who were looking for Hausas were NURTW workers who told to warn all Northerners using public transport to travel into Abia about the volatility of the area. If anyone then decides that it was IPOB looking for someone to kill, well its a free world. All I know us that there is no evidence that any Hausa was killed in Abia As for burning a police station, I cant comment on that because Im just hearing about that |
OROSUNBOLB:What exactly is the BSS? Are they armed? Or is it now illegal to wear black clothing and wear berets? If the authorities are concerned about BSS, they should enquire or call them in for questioning. So inspecting a guard if honour is now an illegal act? Where in law does it say so? If you assume that they are some illegal Army, its a free world, think what you like But justifying the killing of people based on assumption is idiotic You better start understanding that what you think in your gead is not what is important, what is important is the position of the law. |
As everybody knows, Nnamdi Kanu has already been charged to court for various crimes such as treason, hate speech, running an illegal radio station etc. So we are not concerned about what Kanu may have done before being released on bail Some days ago, IPOB and the Nigerian Army had a clash The Nigerian Army at first claimed the were passing by when IPOB started pelting them for no reason and that they were no where near Kanu's house IPOB claimed that the Nigerian Army at firs, went past Kanu's house, but then reversed and tried to enter Kanu's residence when they were stopped by IPOB who demanded to know their mission there. The Armies reply was to open fire on them resulting in one of them being shot in the leg which made IPOB pelt them. Videos of the guy shot in the leg and IPOB pelting the Soldiers under heavy gunfire has since surfaced That same day, the Nigerian Army were passing the NUJ press centre in Umuahia when they noticed the press recording them. They invaded the centre and beat up journalists and ransacked the place. The next day, the Army regrouped and stormed Kanu's residence. According to Nnamdi Kanu's younger brother, Emmanuel Kanu, the Soldiers arrived abd started shooting sporadically killing 4 people, even the family Dog was not spared. He also alleged that the Soldiers went on a killing spree all over the town and that 22 people were murdered. Videos and pictures of people killed all over Umuahia have surfaced including including Kanu's bullet riddled home and one of where Soldiers rounded up IPOB members hitting them with sticks and made them lie down in dirty water The next day, the Nigerian Army declared IPOB a terrorist organisation. The question is: Why didnt the Army or the government declare IPOB a terrorist organisation before the military invasion? So IPOB only became a terrorist organisation after the Army went to Kanu's house? Are the Army contitutionally empowered to invade homes in a non combatant zone? Are the Army empowered to shoot unarmed civilians? Is it the constitutional role of the Army to do the job of the police? What is the Armies explanation for all the people they killed in Umuahia? Whn you look at it, you realise that the Army commited too many crimes in Umuahia and only used the declaration of IPOB as a terrorist organisation to justify its human rights abuse and illegal killings |
kingthreat:And what about the IED's they said they found? Who in their right minds would keep explosive devices in the house they live? |
OROSUNBOLB:Use your head. Kanu is already in court for his uttrances. So what was the point of of invading his house to kill people. If the authorities feel that Kanu is a security theat, the police and DSS should do their job to arrest him There is no country in the world that the Army is called in to go and invade a persons home just because he may be a security threat |
Junior66:They also said that they found IED's. So how would a sane man like Kanu have explosives in the house that he lives and his family visits? |
eazy07:They said petrol bombs and IED's. Who would put such things in the house they sleep in? |
psp2pc:But Kanu has been charged to court for that. So what was the point of the Army going to kill unarmed people? |
tsdarkside:Throwing stones is not a good enough reason for any military force to invade and kill people |
tsdarkside:The most important question people should be asking is why the Army had to invade Kanu's residence in the first place? |
When the President refuses to watch evidence of his Soldiers commiting a crime, that person is no president |
UduMgbo1:Operation Python dance actually started on Friday. What happend in Abia was just the attempted assasination of Nnamdi Kanu using the Nigerian Army |
Only a demented person supports the shooting of unarmed civilians In civilised countries, nobody sees the Army except in times of war In civilised countries, the only time a security personel shoots a civilian is if the person poses a clear and present danger to life and property. But to just come out and shoot a person just because they dont share the same opinion or beliefs as you is murder |
Nemesis1:The video is on youtube |
Whenever this 'terrorist in chief' is traveling out I feel happy |
Nemesis1:People should use their heads. How can Kanu put explosive devices in his own house? The same house where his Father, Mother, siblings and IPOB member come to visit him? Who would endanger themselves abd family like that? So there are bushes to hide bombs? It has to be his own house? |
waledeji:Watch the video again. Nobody was holding any cutlass. As for the sticks, it is a normal thing to see NURTW boys and even motorpark touts with sticks which they use in stopping transport vehicles |
People can lie Who in their right minds would keep bombs in their own house? Why would Kanu keep bombs in the same house he sleeps in? |
GavelSlam:How exactly did you reach this conclusion that IPOB were looking for Hausas to kill? By watching the video and listening to internet rumours? Information reaching me from someone who was on the ground was that the boys in the video looking for Hausas were actually NURTW workers who were instructed to inform all Northerners traveling into Abia state about the trouble in the state. If IPOB wanted to kill Hausas, they wouldnt go searching buses, they would have gone to the areas where Hausas live and trade to attack them. I am yet to see any picture that any Northerner was killed Kanu may have said somethings people dont like but the truth is that nobody has been able to say one act of terrorism either IPOB or Kanu commited |
ninjasta:But it was your Nigerian Army that shot him |
madridguy:But Kanu is already in court. What was the point of the Army going to kill unarmed people? |
stevnwigw:Not entirely true. When Ironsi came on board as president, there were 4 Regions. The 4 Regions were still in existence when Ironsi died When Gowon took over, he abolished those 4 Regions and created 12 states. Other Military regimes kept subdividing it and tday, we have 36 states. If Gowon had left the 4 Regions he inherited from Ironsi, we would still be practicing Regionalism when civilian rule returned |
madridguy:What you should be asking your self is if it is the job of the Nigerian Army to kill unarmed people. You know why? It could be you that is agitating tomorow, may be not about Biafra, but something that is important to you Should the Nigerian Army come and shoot you for that? |
A young man carrying no weapon is gunned down by the military just like that. What should worry Nigerians isnt for Kanu has not killed anyone What this means is that if anyone has a contrary opinion or a different view from the one the federal authorities like, the person may killed. Nigeria has a long long way to go |
Of course he will. A day before the Nigerian Army invaded Kanu's home, shot his Dog and killed unarmed people. They were passing the NUJ centre in Umuahia and Journalists came out to record them. The Army took offence and invaded the centre, beating up Journalists and destroying the place. It will not stop Jounalists doing their job Kanu will go to court, an innocent man has nothing to fear |
People are looking at Nnamdi Kanu but neglecting the bigger picture The Pope is the leader of over a billion Catholics. If you take out the Pope, will Catholicism die? It wont, another Pope will step in and the movement continues It is the same with Biafra. Those who believe in it do so for a reason. For them it symbolises hope from a failed Nigeria. So the federal government can chase about Kanu and even kill him, it will not solve the more important issue that Nigeria is not a nation |
aldexrio:Nigeria was never about loving one another and treating each other as equals. It was always about subjugating people and exploiting them. That was what Ojukwu saw and fought for 3 years to get his people out of it. The country is basically a slave/master thing. A section feels they are the masters and the rest are slaves. It is not a country to be proud of and my prayers are that my fellow Igbos will one day have theur own independent nation. |
The question is what will you charge them to court for? Chapter 4 of the constitution allows them to hold any flag they like and agitate for whatever they like |
This is an example of a failed country. One where a person who already has his case in court. A bigot of a president orders the military to invade Kanu's home, shoots everyone including his Dog and ransacks the place. Tomorow you will come and say you are the giant of Africa? Giant of what? Impunity and military brutalisation? What sane nation should emulate you? Deploying Soldiers in a democracy, to a non combatant civilian area? Some Nigerians might support this But using military might to shut voices of dissent in a democracy actually means that you dont yet have a democracy |
