It is no longer news that the Nigerian Army routinely shoot unarmed Biafran protesters even though the constitution guarateed us all freedom of movement and expression. PoliticsEyewitness Account Of How The Nigerian Army Murdered 90 Protesters, may 30th by attackgat(op): 10:46am On Jun 08, 2016
Inter soceity, a leading human rights group, has uncovered the location of mass graves and shocking details of the genocide committed against Igbos by the Nigerian army under the command of General Muhammadu Buhari on Biafra Remembrance Day, Monday, May 30, 2016.

The 1999 Constitution; which firmly guarantees democratic free speeches and freedoms of peaceful and lawful movement and assembly. Indigenous and self determination rights and their campaigns are also guaranteed by the African Charter on Human & Peoples Rights of AU of 1981 as well as the UN Universal Rights Declaration of 1948 and International Covenants on Civil & Political Rights and the Economic, Social and Cultural Rights of 1976; provided they are nonviolent and outside the purview of armed struggle and where armed struggle is resorted to, it is strictly guided by the Geneva Conventions of 1949, which include the Doctrines of Rules of Engagement, Use of Force and Self Defense.

A Rescued Citizen’s Corroboration: Mr. Henry Ibebuike Enekwe is an electrical engineer and 32 years old. He was declared missing in our Coalition (Southeast Based Coalition of Human Rights Organizations) public statement of 3rd of June 2016 after his abduction by soldiers of the Onitsha Military Cantonment in the morning of 30th of May 2016 on his way to Enugu, from his Eke-Nkpor base. Engineer Henry was rushing to Enugu to seal a house wiring contract with a Lagos based businessman. Happily, Engineer Henry Enekwe regained his freedom in the evening of Saturday, 4th of June 2016, following our advocacy intervention and a distress call by the Ebonyi State Directorate of DSS to its Anambra State counterpart, which led to his rescue from five days captivity and torture in the hands of his soldiers’ captors.

Rescued Citizen’s Account: Narrating his ordeal in the hands of his captor-soldiers, Engineer Henry Enekwe told Intersociety that he regretted bringing his young son into this country called “Nigeria” where beasts are perpetually in charge of the affairs of Nigerian people. That the greatest shock of his life was his encounter with soldiers on 30th of May 2016 in front of the street leading to St Edmunds Catholic, Nkpor-Agu. He said before his very eyes, three innocent citizens going home from an early morning church service at St Edmunds Catholic were shot and killed by soldiers.

That the soldiers, having arrested him and pushed him into their military truck, corked their guns and pointed them at the worshippers coming from the Church and violently shouted at them, forcing three of them to run for safety out of fear and panic, only for the soldiers to open fire on them, killing them instantly. That the soldiers were of Hausa-Fulani tribe and that they recovered the corpses and dumped them in their van and zoomed off to the Onitsha Military Barracks, in company of himself and others abducted alive. That he sat beside the dead corpses and the soldiers kept mocking them and their tribe.

That when they got to the Barracks, he saw a heap of dead bodies and those who were deadly wounded were dumped on top of dead ones. That the soldiers moved him, alongside others to open cells from where he saw more dead bodies being brought in and dumped. That later in the evening, the corpses were moved in the direction of a certain nursery and primary school inside the Barracks, from where they were never sighted again till the cell guards violently mentioned to them that they had been given mass burial.

That in the early hours of Friday 3rd of June 2016, around 1.30am, soldiers stormed their cells and took away 27 of his fellow captives and six deadly wounded citizens to unknown destinations. That the abducted citizens were never returned to the Barracks till Saturday evening, 4th of June 2016, when he regained his freedom. That while in the captivity of the soldiers of the Onitsha Military Cantonment, himself and others were tortured every morning and soldiers called it “morning tea”; whereby each of them was laid on a bench chair, flogged with “koboko”, with sachet water poured on the parts of their bodies where flogging or torture was being inflicted. That many innocent citizens were still being held in the Barracks amidst torture as at the time he regained his freedom. That torture was a routine and the wounded were left unattended to and that extra judicial killing of some captives including those with terminal gunshot wounds may most likely have taken place.

ObaKlaz:
Our brethren in the South South and the South Eastern regions of Nigeria need to understand
a number of things:

1. Goodluck Jonathan is not coming back . That's a done deal. Now that we've got that out of the way, lets move on!

2. No one is seceding from Nigeria. Nigeria's constitution says Nigeria is 'indivisible' (That's a
direct quote)

3.Everyone in Nigeria is marginalised. Even the North is marginalised.
Even though that region has held sway for most of Nigeria's life as an independent nation, most of the people from the region are just as poor as everyone else. There are more beggars and destitutes in that region than any part of Nigeria. I say this not to insult anyone, but to make the point that the common man in the
North of Nigeria is probably worse off than those in the south of Nigeria.
Nigeria's constitution says 'indivisible'? really? Well the constitution is not greater than the people. The people decide what the constitution is. As an Igbo man, I decide if I want to be Nigerian or not. It is not the job of Lord Lugard to do that for me.

Any Igbo man (or woman) who believes in 'one Nigeria' after the beheading of an Igbo woman in Kano must be a morron. It is best for the Igbo nation to work to leave Nigeria, and as we leave, we take Southern minorities who are comfortable with us along and leave those who are not comfortable with us behind. In any case "one Nigeria" died a long time ago. It is time to turn a new page with a new country.

It is hard to imagine that in just a year of Buhari's administration, more people have been killed under him by the Nigeria security agencies than any other civil dispensation.Hundreds unarmed IPOB/MASSOB agitators, hundreds of Shia Muslims. All killed by people who are paid to protect life. All of this in a democracy. With all the crimes of this Government against the people, many believe it is this administration that will redeem Nigeria? Laughable. The Onitsha/Mkpor massacre is a clear example of why Igbos should strive to be independent of Nigeria and become self governing. The Soldiers who shot unarmed IPOB youths were not Igbos. That's why they felt confortable to kill people. No Igbo Soldier would shoot into a crowd of unarmed Igbos, he wouldn't do this because his own loved one could be in that crowd. But a northern Soldier will do this. So where the so called 'one Nigeria'? It will be the proudest day of my life to see the day my fellow Igbos get their own independent nation (with or without the minorities).

God is on our side and the truth shall set us free. It was the biggest mistake in West Africa for Lord Lugard to have brought the Igbo/Yoruba/Hausa man together. But we shall eventually correct that mistake

Is this supposed to be an arguement? which law legitimized other geo political zones?

Go and read decree 34 then come back and edit your post, I am allergic to ignorance.

What was the date of Ogundipe's retirement and what date was the counter coup? look around you dude, this discourse is way beyond your pay grade

What do you know about the Aburi conference and what date was decree 34? Toddler discussing history, abeg shift,

You can smell a child from a distance, next!!!!
There are no regions in Nigeria, at least no legitimate ones anyway. The so called SS,SE,SW are just mere geographical expressions. The constitution does not recognise any region or geopolitical Zone, it only recognises tribes, 774 local Govts, 36 states and Abuja. Therefore, SS,SE etc are all illegitimate.

You are telling me to go and read decree 34? You are the one who said this decree dissolved the regions. The federal Government announced the dissolution of the 4 regions on the 27th of May 1967. Ironsi was killed in July 1966. So how could Ironsi dissolve the regions when they were still in existence almost a year after he died? Or don't you know the meaning of 'to dissolve'?

The Aburi agreement was in January 1967, decree 34 was in 1966. The Aburi agreement nullified decree 34 and made Nigeria of confederation of 4 regions (the same regions you are claiming Ironsi dissolved). It may also interest you to know that contained in the Aburi agreement was a proviso that Gowon would not alter or change the confederation of Nigeria agreed in Aburi unless all 4 regional Governors have him the permission to do so. So this talk about decree 34 being the reason Gowon created States is complete nonsense.

You are just throwing about insults because you have no superior argument to present.

One last thing, you said that Boro is a hero of the Niger-Delta people? How? Is he hero of Anioma? Is he a Hero of Ibibios? Outside Ijawland, who recognises Boro? Laughable
PoliticsRe: Opinion: The Niger Delta Struggle And The Unity That Will Never Be!! by attackgat: 5:28pm On Jun 06, 2016
There are so many errors in the OP's write up it such as:

If you are not happy with south-south as a legitimate geopolitical zone in Nigeria, You can as well argue that Abuja should not be the capital of Nigeria
South-South isn't a legitimate geopolitical zone and there is no Law in Nigeria recognising it as one. If anything, it is just geographical expression.

The OP also said that Ironsi used decree 34 to dissolve the regions? How could Ironsi dissolve the regions when all 4 regions were still in existence the day I he died? Did Ironsi come back from the dead to dissolve the regions?

The OP said that Ogundipe declined to take willingly when it is a known fact that the northern officers were not willingly to entertain the thought a non Notherner in power. Ogundipe was summarily retired, chased away to London where he was made Nigerian ambassador to pave way for a much junior Gowon to take over.

The OP said that Gowon created States based on Ironsi's decree 34. This pure ignorance at work. Decree 34 was completely removed at the Aburi convention and a system of confederation was agreed and signed. Gowon created states on his own volition and in direct contravention of the Aburi agreement.

The OP said that Ironsi did not court martial the January Coupist like Obasunjo did with coup plotters of Murtala. Both were not the same thing. The January Coupist did not conduct their coup against Ironsi unlike the one against Murtala. Another thing was that Ironsi was there for just 6 months. It took longer than that to court martial Diya and co

Nigeria was just a "British experiment" to see if certain ethnic nationalities could co-habit together. Even Lord Lugard who created Nigeria in 1914 gave it a shelf life of 100 years. We have had time to see that the union does not work. So the time for us all to return to the way we were before Lugard came has come.

I think we should all remember that in the event of the break up of Nigeria, some kind of referendum will held so that everyone can choose where they are going. As an Igbo guy, the area I'm interested in is the SE/SS, the Igbos of the lower Benue and the Abi people of cross River who are said to be Igbo speaking. If the minorities vote not to go with the Igbos then the likely scenario is that 3 nations may emerge. In the west will be Ijaw/Edoid tribes (Itshekiris,Urohbos, Isoko, Bini). In the center will be Igbo/Igboids/Igbo speaking tribes (SE,Anioma,Rivers Igbo, Ikwerre, Igbanke, Abi and the Igbos of the lower Benue). In the East will be Efik/Ibibio/Ogoja.

I hate Buhari a lot but I don't wish for his death. In the event of Buhari dying while in office, two things will happen. Osibanjo will be immediately sworn as President and he will appoint a Vice President from the core North. The second thing that will happen is that the northerners will find a way to blame Southern Nigeria for Buhari death and a riot will begin where southern Nigeria, particularly Igbos will be targeted to be killed. This might cause Northeners living in southern Nigeria to be targeted. Osibanjo will order the military in to control the situation which will bring about more deaths. In the mean time, Northern leaders will ask Osibanjo to step down to allow the Northern Vice-president to complete Buhari' 8 years. Naturally, Osibanjo will refuse with the full backing of the Yoruba nation. The Northerners will then try to make thing as difficult for Osibanjo as possible. In 2019, APC will then tear its self apart in deciding wether to field the incumbent Osibanjo or a Northerner. While all of this is happening the Niger Delta Avengers, IPOB,MASSOB, BIM will be piling the pressure for the dissolutio of Nigeria.

PoliticsBiafra: IPOB Spits Fire by attackgat(op): 2:38pm On Jun 04, 2016
INDIGENOUS People of Biafra (IPOB) has slammed the Inspector-General of Police Mr. Solomon Arase over an order to his men to clampdown on its members and disarm pro-Biafra agitators in Delta and Anambra States.

The group had clashed with security agents on Monday during the 30th anniversary of Biafra during which many lives were lost and scores injured.

In their reactions to the IGP order to deal decisively with IPOB members, spokespersons of the group, Dr. Clifford Iroanya and Mr. Emma Mmezu accused the police boss of alleging that IPOB members were armed and undertook premeditated attacks on police officers which they said was a lie.

According to Iroanya, “I hope Mr. Solomon Arase is aware that there is a case of genocide already hanging on his head at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Hague—Netherlands and it will worsen his case with this spewing of lies against IPOB.

“How can the Police disarm people who are not armed in the first place? By the way, did the police disarm Buhari’s men who go by the name Fulani herdsmen? How come you never issued any order when Buhari’s armed gang called Fulani herdsmen massacred thousands of Biafrans in Agatu, Nimbo, Aba, and other areas in Biafraland?

“Can IGP provide any proof that Biafrans attacked police personnel and at what point in time did this so-called ‘resurgence disorder’ come into existence? Probably he is trying to make the job easier for DSS who have been looking for the “smokine gun“ with which they will convince the trial judge that IPOB is a violent organization so that the judge will uphold charge #2 in the case against the leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

“How many of Fulani herdsmen who massacred men, women, and children in Biafraland have the police arrested? So, are you always aware of the fact that the so-called Fulani herdsmen are moving freely with AK-47 assault rifles?”

The IBOP spokespersons further posed questions for the IGP to answer. “Why are you not arresting them or are they a special breed of Nigerians who are above the law? Why are you turning around this case of murder against your policemen to make it look like it was the unarmed Biafrans that were doing the killings? It will interest Mr. Arase to know that the Head of Directorate of State of IPOB discussed the upcoming May 30th Heroes‘ Remembrance Day with the Commissioner of Police (CP) in Anambra, Hosea Karma, and then followed it up with a letter.

“It is a shame that Solomon Arase is displaying crass incompetence and ignorance by lying that IPOB members were armed and that they attacked Nigerian policemen. Perhaps , he would have saved himself this embarrassment by conducting thorough investigation and checking with the CP in Anambra state.

“Mr. IGP Arase, you are aware of the menace of Boko Haram, the serial killings of Biafrans by Fulani herdsmen, and the extra-judicial killings of Biafrans by Nigerian security outfits, yet you have failed to issue a single order on them.

“But you issued tissues of lies which you called press statement even after your policemen and Nigerian soldiers killed unarmed Biafrans some of them in their sleep inside a church as they prepared to remember their fallen heroes and some of these fallen heroes were similarly killed by Buhari in 1968 at Owerri.

“The restoration of the nation of Biafra is an ideology and no human being born of a woman has ever defeated or exterminated an ideology. For those of you who participate in the wanton killing of Biafrans, there shall be consequences and the boundary of these consequences is limitless and can include members of your family both immediate and extended. No one takes a Biafran life and gets away scot-free”, they warned.
