The all-new concept car, which has been launched alongside the release of the latest PlayStation 4 Gran Turismo Sport video game, features a cutting-edge hybrid design that benefits from Peugeot and Peugeot Sport’s renowned performance credentials and ultra-efficient engine designs.

Taking every measure to balance performance and efficiency, the Peugeot L 750 R is equipped with both a petrol engine capable of delivering 572 hp and 10,000rpm, and a 168 hp electric motor, giving the car a potent 740 hp in total.

It seems Rolls Royce is beginning to have even more interest in one-off cars. We all saw the buzz the Rolls Royce Sweptail created. Now, the Rolls Royce Exterion is becoming a reality.  

Created by a talented designer Sergey Dvornytskyy, the car features details that seem to be either inspired by the Sweptail or coming from the new Phantom.

Mr. Otvos-Muller, the CEO of Rolls-Royce even said the company is looking into ways of building one-offs more often but a final decision is yet to be made.

The Exterion will most likely come with electric motors. That’s why the front grille is blocked off and doesn’t seem to be letting a lot of air to go through. 

The rear end is definitely taking a lot after the Sweptail but it also went further, with a more pronounced and aggressive bumper, if we can call it that.

This is a Toolbox as the "T" in Tj Cruiser implies. The "J" stand for Joy but the looks does not depict joy. It could even scare you through your rear view mirrors. 

The Toyota Tj Cruiser looks more like a Dodge Durango than a Toyota and it is hard to tell if it's an SUV or a Van. Despite the flaws in its looks, the 2.0 litre + hybrid powered vehicle has some practicality for utility. The box-like design enables it hold enormous cargo coupled with the fact that all the passenger seats can fold flat to increase storage space. 

The Tj CRUISER symbolizes a new genre incorporating the strengths of a van with those of an SUV.. and the hood, roof, and fenders use materials (with special coating) that resist scratches and dirt, even when objects accidentally come into contact with them.

Despite the functionality, it's a pass for me. What do you think about the ride? and the Toyota product you think is more ugly than this.

If you love the Toyota Crown, I am sure your answer will be a Yes. This is more like a Toyota Rolls Royce as you can even see from the side profile of the car.

The 2018 Toyota Century gets a 5.0-liter V8 hybrid engine under the hood...  while the interior gets adjustable rear seats with massage function and power leg rest for first-class comfort and a sophisticated riding experience. 

Although the seat in the pictures look like just fabric but it it is actually made of high-quality materials, including 100% wool that is extremely flexible and soft. There is also a leather option.
The captain seats in the back are cool with a large entertainment screen, writing table, reading lights, premium audio system and many more. 

Despite all the interior and safety features that comes with this car, what I love most is its retro look.. looking like 1983 Toyota Crown. Tell us what you love about this ride.. Is it the brand, interior, exterior or the engine capacity?

Ford is taking automobile design into a whole new level with Microsoft HoloLens; a technology that will help designers quickly change the size, shape, and texture of different design elements without the need to spend weeks or even months working up a new clay model.

According to the company, its designers have spent the last year using this technology to check various design changes and to see how they look from different angles using either a clay model or an actual car.

"It's amazing we can combine the old and the new clay models and holograms in a way that both saves time and allows designers to experiment and iterate quickly to dream up even more stylish, clever vehicles," says Jim Holland, Ford's head of component and systems engineering, in a release. "Microsoft HoloLens is a powerful tool for designers as we continue to reimagine vehicles and mobility experiences in fast-changing times." 

Sure, most of the announcement is public relations fluff to try to make Ford and Microsoft look good, but the technology being used is also really freakin' cool. We've seen some similar things done with virtual reality in the past, but those required much heavier goggles with bulky wires. They also couldn't virtually lay a hologram over a physical object.

Basically, the future is here, folks. And it's awesome.

Ettore Arco Isidoro Bugatti was born in Milan on 15th of September 1881. He built his first car in 1901 and founded the automobile company is 1909. After the first world war, he continued producing lightweight sports cars and achieved great success like winning the Le Mans in 1920.

Ettore Bugatti died in Paris on 21 August 1947 after his son, Jean who was to be his successor had died in 1939 during a test drive. The company went defunct and was revived in the 1950s and it is now owned by the Volkswagen Group.

In the near future, you and I will not be allowed to drive our cars anymore. We will become a major threat to cars which would be driving themselves. Park! Where is your particulars will go out of vogue.. police will start arresting people by just spotting them behind the wheels driving a car.. this will be the biggest road crime.. No more DUI! No more mascaraing behind the wheels.

Your car would drive you from Sango-Otta to your office in Lekki while you are busy catching up with some office work, surfing the internet or taking a nap... Splendid as it's got many advantages. At the same time, many would cringe and get scared that it's a sign of the beginning of the end.

Whether we like it or not, cars are fast taking over from human beings and it is worth looking at the various levels of autonomous driving (self-driving cars). Let's go into the different levels and don't forget to tell us the one you like the most.

Levels Of Autonomous Driving

Level 0 (Zero):

As the name implies.. The driver is in complete and sole control of the primary vehicle controls – brake, steering, throttle and power at all times. It just feels like driving that 1980 Volkswagen Beetle.

Conclusion: You have to drive the car and be in full control at all times.



Level 1:

This driver-assistance level means most functions are still controlled by the driver, but a few functions are controlled by the car itself. like.. cruise control, anti-lock braking system (ABS), vehicle stability control etc. The car may have system(s) that can control speed or steering.. but not both simultaneously

Conclusion: Your hands must be on the steering but the car still performs some functions on your behalf.



Level 2:

This is the level many recent.. especially luxury vehicles are right now. Many luxury automakers are now making available level 2 cars that can control steering and speed simultaneously, without driver interaction for short periods of time. e.g adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, brake assist etc.

Conclusion: Your hands can go off the wheels but your eyes must be on the road at all times.



Level 3:

At this level, the car can drive itself but human intervention is still critical as the driver is meant to handle the car under some critical conditions which the car cannot handle by itself. The challenge with this level is the difficulty of the car transferring its functions to the driver without any transition conflict. Therefore, many automakers are skipping this level as things can go horribly wrong if the driver is not alert or prepared to take over from the car.

Conclusion: Your hands can be off the wheels but your eyes can only be off the road sometimes.



Level 4:

Although it can be driven by human, you don't ever have to drive it. It will drive itself under favourable conditions just like the Google Waymo. However, the car will call for the driver's assistance when it can't handle a particular condition. The major difference between the level 3 and level 4 autonomous car is the level 4 will park itself if the driver is unable to come salvage the situation.

Conclusion: Hands off the steering, eyes off the road but your mind can only be off most times and not all the time.



Level 5:

This refers to a fully-autonomous system in every driving scenario. The driver only has to set the destination and the car handles all other tasks. The car can drive to any destination and make its own decisions on the way while you sleep all through the journey.

Conclusion: Steering wheels are not even needed. So don't be surprised when cars stop coming with steering wheels and don't forget to come on board with your mattress.

Nissan which is Japan's second-biggest carmaker, said it would recall 1.21 million cars produced for Japan's market between October 2014 and September 2017. This is after it was discovered that final vehicle inspections were not performed by authorized technicians before they were released into the market.

The recall is expected to cost Nissan N80 billion ($220m) and this has made Nissan's share price to drop by 5% since the recall was announced on Monday.

"We must take the registration framework and procedures seriously, regardless of how busy we may be or how short-staffed we may be," CEO Hiroto Saikawa told reporters at a media conference.

"We apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers."

This is the second biggest misconduct to hit the Japanese automakers after Mitsubishi was caught in April 2016 for falsifying the fuel economy for some of its domestic market models.

Road crashes have been identified globally as a major threat to the lives and wellbeing of youths and young adults all over the world especially in developing nations.

These subsets of the population are the most active road users and also the most vulnerable to road incidents or mishaps, and urgent actions need to be taken to mitigate and forestall this ugly trend from gaining more traction.

According to statement issued by government and industry sources, Germany Auto industry officials have agreed to clean up diesel vehicles through software updates as part of a rescue plan for avoiding diesel bans in cities.

Following the Volkswagen Group’s confession to emissions-test cheating in 2015, auto stakeholders have come under scrutiny for producing nitrogen oxide emissions in diesel cars, a strong cause of respiratory disease.

As a result, Audi said it would update engine software on up to 850,000 diesel cars . The refit of six and eight cylinder engines will be free of charge for all customers. Contrary to this opinion by Audi, Porsche's CEO opined that the brand may abandon diesel engines as its electric cars go to market, while Mercedes announced a plan in which it will recall 3 million diesel cars in Germany for a $255 million engine software fix.

According to source, a committee has been set to measure the impact of updating diesel cars on individual communities and cities and cutting nitrogen oxide pollution by about 20 percent,, with a view to averting bans of diesel cars

With an exterior that looks like something from the 1970s and an interior from the 2050s, the Honda Urban Ev is a sight to behold.

This small electric and vintage looking hatchback is creating a buzz for the Frankfurt Motor Show. It is more like bringing back the 1978 first generation Honda Prelude.. but I bet you'd fall in love with this one again and again. Imagine such a retro car coming with such a futuristic interior with doors that open like that of a Rolls Royce Wraith.

According to Honda's CEO, Takahiro Hachigo, “This is not some vision of the distant future, a production version of this car will be here in Europe in 2019.”

With an output of over 1,000 hp and a top speed beyond 350 km/h this hypercar handles exactly as it looks: it takes your breath away. The concept car gives specific indications of what to expect from the upcoming production Mercedes models.

The high-performance plug-in hybrid drive system of the Mercedes-AMG Project ONE comes directly from Formula 1. It consists of a highly integrated and intelligently networked unit comprising one hybrid, turbocharged combustion engine with a total of four electric motors. One has been integrated into the turbocharger, another has been installed directly on the combustion engine with a link to the crankcase and the two remaining motors drive the front wheels.

The 1.6-litre V6 hybrid petrol engine with direct injection and electrically assisted single turbocharging comes directly from the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 racing car. The vehicle is mid-engined (ahead of the rear axle) and it can easily reach speeds of 11,000 rpm, which is currently unique for a roadgoing vehicle.

The electric motors on the front axle are also true rev wonders, with rotor revolutions up to 50,000 rpm – current state of the art is a speed of 20,000 rpm. The very high-revving engine is additionally boosted by a high-tech turbocharger.

The electric turbocharger brings about another advantage: it uses parts of the surplus energy from the exhaust system to generate electricity, and either stores it in the high-voltage lithium-ion battery as part of recuperation or provides additional drive power by feeding it to an additional electric motor. This motor produces 120 kW.. There will also be two further 120 kW electric motors at the front axle.

Impressive acceleration figures are possible with the Race Start function: acceleration from zero to 200 km/h takes under six seconds. Power is transferred to the rear wheels by an 8-speed transmission that has been entirely developed from scratch for the Mercedes-AMG Project ONE. It is activated hydraulically and can be operated in automated mode or manually using the shift paddles.

The interior has two high-resolution, free-standing 10-inch displays and high-quality stowage compartment fitted with a transparent lid.

The Mercedes-AMG Project ONE will not only be an ultimate driving machine that directly brings current Formula 1 hybrid technology onto the road and combines top-class race track performance with full day-to-day suitability.
