https://i66.tinypic.com/ibkm5k.jpg Has it ever occurred to you that some folks are crazy about stickers? It is regarded to be weapons of protection for some people, especially we Nigerians. How would you know a Nigerian man is a lawyer without the “NBA” sticker on their car? Same goes to the force men. There are even various categories of stickers you can see on people’s cars. They are: -Religious stickers -Foreign Universities Stickers -Motivational Stickers -Professional Body Sticker -Stickers to Haters -Music Followers sticker -The football fan sticker ‘Satan keep off’, ‘year of success’, ‘heaven is mine’, ‘year of miracle’, ‘Don’t let the car fool you, my treasure is in heaven’, are the likes of what you’ll see on most most cars with sticker in Nigeria. Will you tell me that these people that had all these stickers on their car are normal? https://autojosh.com/cars-with-most-stickers-on-them/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun

https://i64.tinypic.com/15n2j2x.jpg “Oba no dey go transfer”. This is a popular Edo adage that has suffered enormous misinterpretations. This literal adage has been misinterpreted to mean that the Oba of Benin does not travel outside his domain. However, because we are a people who pay little attention to history, we conveniently missed several events in the pasts where successive Obas of Benin traveled outside their domain. For instance, in April 2004, the late Royal Majesty Omo n’Oba n’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Erediauwa I, was in Lagos to launch the controversial book, “I Remain, Sir, Your Obedient Servant” – a book he authored. Indeed, history is replete with events where different Obas of one of the world’s most outstanding cultures had sojourned outside their kingdom. https://i68.tinypic.com/wi7dd4.jpg Oba Ewuare O’Ngidigan II, The Oba of Benin Oba Ewuare II, currently superintends over one of the world’s most glorious cultures. Therefore, to aide his very rare movements, he acquired for himself a vehicle befitting of his revered status. In 2016, the University of Wales and Rutgers University-trained Oba Ewuare II acquired a brand-new 2016 Rolls Royce phantom. A quick research shows that an average Rolls Royce Phantom costs about N150million ($417,825). Oba Ewuare II, who was the former Nigerian ambassador to Italy, Angola and Sweden, with accreditation to Norway, Denmark and the Republic of Finland is definitely a man that can seamlessly integrates cultural elegance with modern style. Governor Ambode understands the importance of having a secured state. In 2016, the state government spent over N15 billion to ensure there was full security and ensure the safety of lives and property. In September 2017, he initiated the move that set up the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) law. It was as a direct response to the security challenges in the State. As the No. 1 Citizen of one of the most populous concentration of black people one earth, it is also important that he takes his own security with a good measure of high priority. With numerous projects to superintend over and commission, events to attend, he surely needs vehicles that offer adequate degree of security. Autojosh presents two of Gov. The former model, aside from her blogging business, is always in the spotlight for some other things. For instance, when she is not taking pictures of herself in front of famous gates, she is putting up an online exhibition of top-of-the range cars in her car collection. The charming Linda Ikeji is equally popular for her generosity with automobiles to her close relatives. At different times, she has demonstrated that bestowing car gifts upon her family members is a favourite pastime. Some of the cars she has acquired for herself and her close relatives includes -2016 Range Rover Autobiography -2014 Range Rover Sport -2011 Infniti Fx35 -2008 Toyota Camry -2014 Toyota Sequoia -2016 Acura MDX -2010 Honda Civic -2013 Honda Accord -2013 Lexus Rx 350 Autojosh now presents, “Linda Ikeji and the Cars in Her Life”, a catalogue of photos of some of the cars that the popular blogger has acquired. https://i63.tinypic.com/hrhclc.jpg On the 3rd February, 2011, the Blogger announced on her blog the acquisition of a 2011 Model Infniti Fx35. The interior of a car especially the dashboard is one of the part of a car that can make the car look very beautiful and pleasing to the eyes. Take your time to check the interiors of most exotic cars and see how the dashboard would always cease your gaze. You can’t help yourself more than to admire what was carefully and meticulously designed and implemented by the car companies. On the other hand, there are dashboards you would see that will end up spoiling your day. This is very possible for die hard car enthusiasts. Most car companies are really working hard to ensure that the aesthetics of their cars are taken to entirely higher levels. Some others just end up putting up infuriating interiors probably to make us angry. Most of car buyers consider the car interior factor when buying cars. They pay attention to the interior designs and the whole vehicle at large. All that been said, the interior of a car matters almost as much as its exterior; one can’t be easily left out for the other. We bring to you compilations of some car interiors we find extremely disturbing, ugly and a no no. 1. Toyota Yaris: First of all, positioning of the speedometer is awkward. Being at the center there is something we can’t just explain. Since the car lacks visual entertainment system, maybe the speedometer is at the center to entertain everyone in the car. Secondly, there are lots of plastics everywhere; they should have considered some other materials. https://i66.tinypic.com/5bqvbb.jpg 2. Fiat Multipla: What is this for crying out loud. It looks more like a child’s play. It’s just ugly everywhere with its patches of weird colour all around. This alone makes it a unique car.ugly car interior https://i63.tinypic.com/14e9xmb.jpg 3. Fiat 500: These fiat guys sef. We don’t have much to say on their matter. https://i66.tinypic.com/25sxzwz.jpg 4. Pontiac Grand Prix: Only the buttons on the steering wheel should be enough to drive someone crazy. What were they thinking in the first place? Anyways, very few are the button type of guys. This car is a total no no for most people https://i66.tinypic.com/k4i2bd.jpg 5. Chevrolet Cavalier: Again, lots of buttons. Don’t even think of placing something like bottle water on the cup holder and then wanting to adjust the heater. You’re joking. E no go fit work that way. Who else love the gear knob just at the head of the lever? https://i66.tinypic.com/34q5sft.jpg 6. Mini Cooper: Damn annoying. The designers ended up making this interior a total turnoff. It’s hard to say what they had in mind when doing this. https://i65.tinypic.com/33de108.jpg 7. TVR Sagaris: Wow!!! What a beauty. The car has a very good design but the interior is a total mess. https://i68.tinypic.com/287qf49.jpg https://autojosh.com/ugly-car-interiors-you-wouldnt-even-like-to-see/ |
The Nigeria Senate has made it a mandatory for every driver plying on Nigerian roads to be able to read, write and communicate effectively in the English language in addition to their driving qualifications. The senate gave authority to it’s committee on transportation to work together with necessary government establishment and other stakeholders responsible for road safety in Nigeria to ensure every driver is educated. The senate President, Bukola Saraki said the road safety and Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO) must do the appropriate thing and shun corruption, especially in granting of permission to drive. “Licenses must be obtained by going through the normal test that is required. What we are seeing now is corruption and not following due process. The effect of that is people are losing lives. People must see that they have a responsibility in ensuring that people go through the right process is very important because lives are lost when we have drivers that are not capable or do not have the necessary qualifications. “The challenge is to those responsible for this and our Committee on Transport should provide their oversight and ensure that Road Safety and Vehicle inspection offices carry out the necessary work,” Saraki said. https://autojosh.com/every-driver-plying-on-nigerian-roads-must-be-educated-senate/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”. So says the Good Book. Indeed, there is an incredible degree of ignorance in the land as it concerns the statutory functions of the various arms of Government in Nigeria. No wonder we pay so much attention to the Federal and State Government, thus paying little or no attention to the Local Government Council. And in the process, we allow the Local Government Chairmen and Councilors to escape with an incredible degree of incompetence or dereliction of duties. In Nigeria, most Local Governments chairmen are only interested in the aspect of their functions, which will attract revenue to them while they conveniently ignore the responsibilities stipulated under the Fourth Schedule. They also love the display of power but do not appreciate the responsibility that go along with power. Now, here are some roles of the Local Government Council- specifically as it pertains to the transport and allied sector – that is often erroneously ascribed to the State Government and even the Federal Government https://i63.tinypic.com/i1czk0.jpg 1.Licensing of bicycles, trucks (other than mechanically propelled trucks), canoes, wheel barrows and carts. https://i67.tinypic.com/2qi8gmd.jpg 2.Establishment, maintenance and regulation of Bus stops, Motor Parks. https://i64.tinypic.com/2wnznm8.jpg 3.Construction and maintenance of roads, streets, other public highways, parks, open spaces, or such public facilities as may be prescribed from time to time by the House of Assembly of a State. https://i66.tinypic.com/2a4vhmp.jpg 4.Naming of roads ‘and streets and numbering of houses; https://i68.tinypic.com/2j5gyed.jpg 5.Provision and maintenance Of public toilets https://i68.tinypic.com/15gcqk9.jpg 6.Public waste management (refuse disposal) https://i67.tinypic.com/fuwgzk.jpg 7.Erecting and maintenance of Street lights https://i63.tinypic.com/ilxe2p.jpg 8.Regulation of Out-door advertising and hoarding https://i65.tinypic.com/el4rpf.jpg 9.Construction and clearing of drainage https://i63.tinypic.com/23ie5w3.jpg 10.Provision and maintenance of public transportation https://i65.tinypic.com/e7xetd.jpg 11.Elimination of destitute, beggars and street urchins from the street. https://i68.tinypic.com/5cf6s6.jpg Pep Guardiola The soon-to-be-officially crowned winning coach of the 2017/2018 Premiership title, Pep Guardiola, is one coach whose wealthy players cannot intimidate him at the parking lot of their training ground. Pep who is reportedly on £15.3m annual salary, owns several luxury cars. However, he is often seen traveling in style in a Bentley GTX700. The Bentley is estimated to cost almost N101million (£200k). The car boasts of a V-8 engine that generates 530bhp. Indeed, this car would attract envy even from some of his well-paid team players. https://i63.tinypic.com/2u5v0o7.jpg Jose Mourinho The Manchester United team boss earns £15m per year. Anyone who earns that much, only a few cars are not within his buying power. José Mourinho’s cars collection include cars like Aston Martin DB9, Audi A7 and A8, BMW X6, Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, Ferrari F599, Porsche 911 S, etc. However, the maverick Portuguese coach is often seen going to the training ground in a Jaguar F-Pace. The car is one of the least affordable cars in his collection. The car is said to be worth around N17million (£34k). Incidentally, Jose, most times, prefers to be driven to training. That way, it enables him plan his training sessions on the way there. https://i67.tinypic.com/292p93o.jpg Antonio Conte Another top coach that loves simplicity when it comes to his choice of cars is the Chelsea FC boss, Antonio Conte. The Chelsea boss is typically driven to work by his wife in a in a N7.5m (£14) budget Nissan Duke. A brand new one of the car cost around N24m (£47k). He often comes to the training grown in a Jeep Grand Cherokee, also driven by his wife. For a man on a three-year deal at Chelsea reportedly worth around N3.3billion (£6.5m) a year, we can’t help but think Conte must be an “Alaroro”. https://i67.tinypic.com/24b9h1d.jpg Sam Allardyce Sam Allardyce is one man that loves good things. However, he is one man that would rather acquire them at far below their market value. Perhaps, that explains why he acquired a “tokunbo” Bentley Continental, one that he bought at a charity auction. It is not known how much he bought the Bentley Continental. However, the brand new of Allardyce’s Bentley cost around N50.2m (£100k). Sam Allardyce, said to be worth around £10million, is reported to be on weekly salary of a £100k at Everton. Perhaps, an upgrade is mostly likely to occur soon. https://i67.tinypic.com/9g8v4o.jpg Alan Pardew The stylish former coach of Newcastle, Crystal Palace and West Brom football clubs drives a Range Rover Evoque. This top-of-the-range Range Rover Evoque is estimated to cost around N17.5m (£31k). Alan Pardew is also on record to have acquired a Bentley Continental GT when he was the coach of Crystal Palace. The Bentley is valued at around N80m (£155k). Pardew was on a salary then of of £1.5m at Palace. He may have had to downgrade to the Evoque when he became the manager at West Brom. https://i68.tinypic.com/2ltn0ah.jpg Zinedine Zidane “Zizou” the Champions League winning player and coach of Real Madrid owns a fleet of luxury cars. Although he often drives an Audi Estate to training at Real Madrid. He is also seen driving around Madrid in an Audi hatchback worth around N11m (£21k). Audi is Real Madrid’s sponsor, by the way. He also drives a Range Rover Evoque and a Mercedes Maybach worth around N36m (£70k). However, one thing is certain, Zidane’s cars will not be the flashiest in the Real training ground parking lot. https://i67.tinypic.com/2drgad.jpg Diego Simeone The ever serious-looking Coach of Athletico Madrid owns a Range Rover Sport. The car price starts at N32m (£60k). For a man who enjoyed an illustrious career as a player with top clubs, and who currently earns £5.1m annually, he can conveniently afford that. Simeone is also known to own the Hyundai’s IONIQ, a car that he got from the Athletico Madrid sponsor, Hyundai brand. He presented the new electric car Hyundai IONIQ on October 10, 2016 in Madrid, Spain. It is a hybrid motor with a relatively low price of around N11m (£20k). https://i68.tinypic.com/2cifm85.jpg Jurgen Klopp The parking lot of the training field of the Liverpool FC always features a mix of expensive exotic cars such as Bentleys, Lamborghinis, etc. However, one car typically stands out for its simplicity. It is the Opel Insignia. The car is owned by the Liverpool FC boss, Jurgen Klopp. The car is worth a moderate N10m (£18k). In fact, the Liverpool FC team’s counter attack has a better reputation for speed than Klopp’s Insignia. The Insignia takes over 10 seconds to hit 0-60mph. Clearly, owning an eye-catching car at Anfield is the very last thing on Klopp’s mind. https://i63.tinypic.com/29lxydu.jpg Arsene Wenger The outgoing Manager of Arsenal FC, Arsene Wenger, is not a man known for flamboyance, in terms of his choice of cars. However, that does not diminish his taste for the Jaguar brand. He owns a Jaguar XJ. The cost shim somewhere in the region of N30.2million (£60k). He also owns several other cars, which include a Citroen, a brand that happens to have a sponsorship deal with his Club, Arsenal FC. https://autojosh.com/some-top-football-coaches-and-the-cars-they-drive/ |

Tucked away in Ohanze town near the commercial city of Aba in Abia state is Francis Emmanuel. This enterprising young Nigerian is in the business of manufacturing automobiles. Francis Emmanuel has built a brand of car called the EM Emulate. According to him, the EM Emulate is manufactured using Mate motorcycle engine together with other locally fabricated materials. Thus far, and largely due to inadequate funding, he has built only one unit of the EM Emulate. However, here is the interesting part: a unit of the EM Emulate is built with only Eighty thousand naira (N80, 000) ! Indeed, such industry and determination ought to be encouraged. It is very common for us to gawk over the expensive and luxury acquisitions of football stars. However, and unknown to many of us, just like the footballers, football club managers and coaches also enjoy the deluxe lifestyle. Indeed, football coaches, too, love the finer things of life. One coach who is not shy of showing off some of his expensive toys is the eccentric and flamboyant Jose Mourinho, the current manager of Manchester United. As we move around town, it is a common feature to see stickers or emblem displayed in and on cars. These emblems could be flags, effigies, etc. These items are used to promote the ideologies, affiliation, philosophies or religious belief, etc of the owners of these cars. For instance, it is common to see flags and stickers that depicts your favourites football clubs, our church, professional association, etc. It is also a common feature by people of a particular profession to display items of their practice. For instance, medical doctors are known to hang their stethoscopes on their rear-view mirrors. Lawyers, too, place their wigs on their dashboards. Military personnel typically have a military sticker – together with a horsewhip visibly displayed on their dashboards, etc. It is also common to see emblems that depicts your preferred political party. For instance, APC flags are very common features on many vehicles these days. However, and strangely too, one hardly see PDP flags being displayed in cars. I wonder why? Anyway, that’s a topic for another day. So, to each his or her own. Now, if you were left with a choice of what emblem to hang or what sticker to place on your car, what would it depict? https://autojosh.com/what-sticker-or-emblem-do-you-have-on-your-car/

The Lagos State Government is demonstrating that it has no tolerance for misbehavior from its employees. The State Government recently sacked five officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA. They were relieved of the jobs for offences ranging from extortion, harassment and violation of Lagos State Public Service Rules. General Manager, LASTMA, Olawale Musa disclosed this on Thursday, saying that the agency recommended five of the unruly officials for dismissal and demote 14 others, adding that 15 others were issued letters of warning, while three were exonerated after careful investigation. According to the GM, LASTMA, “The affected officers appeared in the month of April before the Personal Management Board (discipline) to defend and make presentation on various actions that bothered on indiscipline against them,” In addition, Musa condemned incessant attacks of traffic officials by motorists, especially commercial drivers, saying the officials were on the roads to ensure motorists and commuters get to their destinations without stress and discomfort. https://autojosh.com/5-lastma-officials-sacked-14-others-demoted-in-lagos-state/

It was a scary moment yesterday for popular comedian and actor, Kevin Hart, when his private jet burst a tyre as it landed at Boston’s Logan Airport. The comedian was traveling in company of fellow comedians, Na’im Lynn, Spank Horton and a stylist, John Burgandee. Hart later posted a photo on Instagram showing the four of them squatting down by the wing of the plane with hands clasped in prayer. He captioned the post thus: ‘God is Good with a capital G…Had our first serious Airplane scare today. Our planes tire busted on one side as we were landing and s*** got real for a second. No body was harmed…Our pilot handled the situation perfectly.’ ‘Once again God is GOOD!!!! #Blessed ….P.S you Can tell that spank is still shaken up by the way he is posing,’ followed by several laughing emojis. This made the comeback impossible due to the fact that the airline had almost 20 BAC 1-11 in its fleet at the time the policy was instituted. 9. Okada Airline was based in Benin City, Nigeria. 10. The owner of Okada Air was Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin.

These days we have all sort of aircraft. Some of them are designed for specific purpose. For instance, there are aircraft that are designed specifically for warfare, commercial travels, cargo services, reconnaissance, etc. Meanwhile, some are designed to offer pleasure trips. However, aircraft have evolved over time. They have generally undergone an enormous modification and upgrade. The way aircraft are today have not always looked that way. The first airplane was invented by the Wright Brothers – Wilbur and Orville Wright. These brothers, who were aviation engineers, invented and built the world’s first successful aircraft. They successful flew the aircraft four miles south of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina in the United States in December 17, 1903. In 1904–05, the brothers developed their flying machine into the first practical fixed-wing aircraft. Although they were not the first to build experimental aircraft, however, the Wright brothers were the first to invent aircraft controls that made fixed-wing powered flight possible. The brothers’ fundamental breakthrough was their invention of three-axis-control which enabled the pilot to steer the aircraft effectively and to maintain its equilibrium. This method became and remains standard on fixed-wing aircraft of all kinds. They started the Wight Model A, the world’s first production airplane. From 1907 to 1909, they produced variations of this aircraft. Till date, the basic principles of flight that the Wright brothers applied still pertain, however, there have been enormous changes over the years to the means by which those principles are understood and applied. https://autojosh.com/see-the-first-airplanes-and-the-investors/

Our ability to see clearly while driving is very essential to our safety. An obstructed vision because of poor visibility can lead to grave consequences. Your eyes are your first line of defense. If you cannot see properly, you will not be able to avoid problems. If you cannot see the hazard, you will not be able to deal with it. Poor vision while driving can be caused by a number of factors. For instance: (a.) cracks on the windshield or mirror. (b.) dirt on the outside of the windscreen or on the mirror. (c.) Smudging or stains from wiping with a dirty cloth or hands (d.) hand or finger prints on the windscreen or mirrors. This can cause real problems with glare when the sun is low on the horizon. (e.) poorly adjusted mirrors. (f.) dust or frost on the outside (and/or inside) of the windscreen or on the mirrors. So, here are a few tips on how to get your mirrors and windscreen ready in order to have a safe trip. 1.Always clean your windscreen and mirrors before a trip. 2.Always adjust your mirrors in a way that all the blind spots are minimized. 3.Check your windscreen wipers regularly to make sure they are in good condition. Otherwise, a bad wiper can result in scratches on your windscreen. 4.Regularly wash the inside of the windscreen to remove dust, dirt and smudging. 5.Keep your windscreen washer reservoir full and either top it up regularly or keep a spare jug in the vehicle. 6.Make an effort to clean your windscreen at least once in a week. It only takes a few minutes. 7.When cleaning your windscreen or mirrors, use a dry microfiber cloth for the interior, glass cleaner and towel for the exterior, and add a bit of white vinegar to both sides to make them shine. 8.When cleaning, check your windscreen for cracks and proactively take care of them immediately. A small crack can turn into a big crack over time and can lead you to needing your whole windshield replaced. 9.Inside a garage or a carport are great places to park ones vehicle. These places protect your windscreens in case of extreme weather or an unexpected fallen tree https://autojosh.com/9-tips-on-how-to-stay-safe-with-your-car-mirrors-and-windscreens/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun
