It is the end of the road for the Volkswagen Beetle. It is taking a bow after haven stayed for a very long while; since 1938. The Volkswagen Beetle was designed in 1925 by a 18 year old Hungarian student, Bela Barenyi. She is recognized for designing the basic foundations of this car. This news isn’t much of a surprise because last year, Volkswagen announced its intent to end production of the car in 2019. The Volkswagen Beetle got its start in Nazi Germany, and it played a role in the economic resurgence of Germany after World War II, and became a worldwide icon. https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/volkswagen-beetle-production.jpg?x67694 Source: https://autojosh.com/production-volkswagen-beetle-ends-today/ |
https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/bugatti-veyron-768x382.png What do you expect from Nigerians when they see a car packed with over 1000hp which can clock over 400km/h? A car that can accelerate from 0-100 in just 3 seconds and again, is very expensive. The development of the Bugatti Veyron was one of the greatest technological challenges ever known in the automotive industry. Everything had to be developed from scratch in order to achieve the performance specs and then everything had to be implemented in the car. In this video, you’ll see how a lot of Nigerians gathered around the wonder-on-wheel designed and developed in Germany by the Volkswagen Group. Some people are saying this is the first Bugatti Veyron in Nigeria whereas others are opposing it. Some said they have seen up to two different Bugatti Veyrons in Abuja. Have you seen any Bugatti Veyron before in Nigeria? If your answer is yes; kindly tell us where? Let’s hear from you in the comment section. https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Water-hyacinth-6.jpg Lagos state government is currently and aggressively pushing for a multi-modal system of mass transit in the state. To achieve this objective, several jetties have been built and there are plans to build more. In addition, a good number of ferries have been acquired to transport Lagosians around the state on the various waterways in the state. However, the presence of Seaweed – better known as Water hyacinth – is currently dampening the effort at waterways transportation in the state. Water hyacinth is a seasonal occurrence on waterways in the tropics. They make transportation by boats and ferries quite cumbersome on these waterways. https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Water-hyacinth-1.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Water-hyacinth-5.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Water-hyacinth-2.jpg These plants are currently very visible on waterways particularly the Ikorodu, Ajah, Badagry, Oworonshoki, Mile 2 and Epe axis. These aquatic plants cause mechanical problems to the propulsion system of boats and ferries. Thus causing slow traffic on the waterways. The spread of these fast-growing aquatic plants is not only damaging transport links in Nigeria’s economic capital, but they are also negatively affecting the socio-economic activities of fishermen and inhabitants of the riverine communities. This aquatic weed that plagues waterways creates an impediment to fishing activities. https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Water-hyacinth-12.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Water-hyacinth-7.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Water-hyacinth-13.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Water-hyacinth-18.jpg Interestingly, On October 2016, the Lagos state government acquired two hyacinth weeding machines. The machines were purchased by the Akinwumni Ambode administration to frontally address the challenges posed by water hyacinth. This was in line with the strategic implementation of the Lagos master plan for the waterways. These machines weed out debris and seaweeds from the lagoon by functioning like an underwater lawn mower and cut the vegetation, as well as collects and store weeds and debris, while it is fitted with a pick-up conveyor at the forward end which can be lowered up to six feet deep into the water for effective cleaning of the waterways. However, one finds its curious that these machines have not been put to us in weeding out the hyacinths from the waterways. The machines are under the care of the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment. https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Water-hyacinth-22.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Water-hyacinth-20.jpg Source: https://autojosh.com/water-hyacinth-takes-over-lagos-waterways-photos/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun

The whole idea of modifying a car is to improve it's looks or improve its functionalities. However, some car craftsmen give a whole new definition to the whole idea of car modification. It is hard to describe some of the end products of the modifications. They become a ridiculous and pointless car. These embarrassing modified cars would look more at home in a children's cartoon film than on the road. Below are examples of some car modifications by some rather interesting minds. https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Weird-Car-Modification-1.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Weird-Car-Modification-32.jpg?x67694 https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Weird-Car-Modification-8.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Weird-Car-Modification-27.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Weird-Car-Modification-4.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Weird-Car-Modification-5.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Weird-Car-Modification-31-1.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Weird-Car-Modification-55.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Weird-Car-Modification-23.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Weird-Car-Modification-47-1.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Weird-Car-Modification-48-1.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Weird-Car-Modification-13.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Weird-Car-Modification-14.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Weird-Car-Modification-16.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Weird-Car-Modification-20.jpg See more photos HERE Source: https://autojosh.com/are-these-not-the-most-ridiculous-car-modifications-you-have-ever-seen-photos/

A few days before he left office as the Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode commissioned about 1000 Vulcanizer stands and distributed them for free to vulcanizers in Lagos state. The stands dubbed Ubiquitous Box for Vulcanisers (UV-Box) were designed to upgrade the operations of vulcanizers and enhance the vocation. The beneficiaries are members of the Lagos State Vulcanisers Association drawn from the five divisions of the state. https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Vulcanizer-stand-Lagos-0.jpg The governor, during the distribution of the tools, noted that the gesture was to support the informal sector for its contributions to the state economy. The Ubiquitous Box for Vulcanisers (UV-Box) is the pilot phase of the Ubiquitous Box for commercial roadside operators designed by the state government as a three-pronged empowerment scheme aimed at relocating and regulating registered street traders in our state. According to Ambode, the state government decided to accommodate commercial roadside operators in aesthetic, safe and environmentally-friendly units in government-approved designated areas such that mobile artisans and traders would no longer cause obstruction to free flow of traffic or litter the streets with waste. In order to recover government’s expenditure on the project, each UV-Box has been designed to generate revenue for the state government through subscription for use of advert panels /billboards by interested members of the public under the supervision of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives. Though the UV-Boxes were being given to the beneficiaries free of charge, they remain the property of the state government till December 2023. However, if the Box is lost or stolen within a specified period, the beneficiary will pay the cost of the UV-Box, which is N323,300 to the State Government. https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Vulcanizer-stand-Lagos-4.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Vulcanizer-stand-Lagos-2.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Vulcanizer-stand-Lagos-3.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Vulcanizer-stand-Lagos-1.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Vulcanizer-stand-Lagos-7.jpg Source: https://autojosh.com/ambodes-gift-to-vulcanizers-are-springing-up-all-over-lagos-photos/

DPO Told Me To Take My Driver To My Village Shrine So He can Swear – Nigerian Whose Car Got Stolen Cries Out. https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/carcontinent-instagram-police-nigeria.png?x67694 A Nigerian, who is also the owner of Carcontinent automobile page on Instagram, has lamented about his ordeal with the Nigerian Police Force after his car got snatched on gunpoint. His car is a 2004 Toyota Corolla with the Lagos number plate LSR – 499FQ. It got snatched from his driver on gunpoint. He reported the case to the Nigerian Police Force but he’s not happy with the feedback he’s getting. First of all, one DPO told him to take his driver to the village shrine so he can swear he knows nothing about the whereabouts of the car. As if that’s not enough, he went to another station to make a report where he was told to pay N150,000 for mobilization and then another N50,000 to follow up the case. He went to another station to know if the driver can be questioned by the police just as we see in foreign movies, but they ended up demanding their own piece of the pie; they want N50,000 too for mobilization. Read what he wrote below; MY MISSING VEHICLE. Dear @nigeriapoliceforce After my car went missing I took my driver who the car was stolen from along to the police station. The DPO in charge of the case is Mr Chika ibe(sabo police station), during the narration of my ordeal, the DPO started shouting that the driver is a thief that he stole my car,so I asked the DPO, wat can we do? he said I should take the driver to my village shrine and make him swear the juju there, that if he doesn’t die, then I can say he’s innocent. After that he tossed us out of his office and ordered a sars officer to handle the case and in his words he said “see ehn take your time, no even rush am,no give urself headache for this matter, whenever you like even if it’s not today or tomorrow, just write a report and send to me. My second time was at PANTI while I went to report the issue cos the driver was giving different stories everytime I asked him, I was told it would cost me 150 thousand naira for mobilization and 50 thousand to follow up on the case. Today I went to zone M idinmu to let them know I want the driver questioned, I was told to go bring 100 thousand for mobilization. @opetodolapo @aleygiwa @nigerianpolice_ @npf., @tundeednut.@tunjidisu @instablog9ja Dear @npf do I need this money before you guys can act? https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Sanwo-Olu-2.jpg The nightmare being experienced by commuters on Agric-Ishawo and Igbogbo Roads in Ikorodu area of Lagos State will soon be a thing of the past, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu declared on Thursday. The Governor said he felt the pains of residents plying the abandoned routes, but disclosed that contractors would be fully mobilised for reconstruction work on the two roads, which he described as “critical” to the state’s economic wellbeing. Sanwo-Olu made the revelation while on an inspection tour of Rice Mill and Industrial Park project being developed by the state government at Imota. He said: “We are aware of two major critical roads that are in Ikorodu Division; the Igbogbo Road and Agric-Ishawo Road. Once the heaviness of the rains subsides, which is likely to be in couple of weeks away, we expect that the contractor will fully re-mobilise to the sites. “I appeal to residents to bear with us, but we will take responsibility of the rehabilitation of these important roads. Government is a continuum and we are going to fulfill our campaign promises to complete all abandoned projects. We are appealing to our teaming citizens in Ikorodu to be patient. We know how critical these roads are to their wellbeing. “I had been on these roads before and I know the conditions they are presently. It is for the people to exercise patience because for road construction, we need to be very tactical to ensure there is no wastage in materials. Once the rain subsides a little bit, the contractor will be fully mobilised to sites and Lagosians will begin to see major improvement on the two artery roads in Ikorodu.” The Governor was joined on the tour by his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, and Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola, among other top government officials. From the look of things, traffic sanity is one of the priorities of the new Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Lagos state is in for any traffic offender; they already have a special court for traffic offenders where they will be tried when caught. Added to that is the 36 Lagos State Traffic Law and The New Fines. Traffic offense has been placed on entirely another level where forfeiture of your car can serve as a penalty. A Nigerian after seeing all these laws lamented. From what he wrote on Facebook, he implies that Sanwo-Olu of Lagos just want to jail everybody; maybe all the traffic laws are hard to keep. Read his Facebook post below; https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/IMG_20190706_071302.jpg?x67694 Do you think the penalties for the various traffic offenses are way too much and should be reviewed? https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/IMG_20190701_131513.jpg Backup camera used in cars is one of the numerous innovative and advanced vehicle technology used in the automobile industry. Backup cameras help drivers to have eyes in the back of their head as they reverse. Instead of looking back, drivers can just use the backup camera. Have you ever wondered the meaning of all those coloured lines you see on backup camera when you want to reverse your Toyota Car? How can they help you be more confident when backing up and maneuvering in reverse? Worry no more, you’re in the right place; Autojosh is here to clear you on that. Meanings of Toyota backup camera lines NB: White arrows are used to specifically point to the line being talked about. 1. Vertical lines on the sides (either yellow or blue): These lines show the width of your vehicle and estimate where you’ll go if you back straight up. If your backup camera offers dynamic guidelines, these lines will move accordingly as you turn your steering wheel. https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/IMG_20190701_134405.jpg?x67694 If your backup camera is dynamic. it will appear as it is in the image below when you turn while reversing. https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/IMG_20190701_131357.jpg?x67694 2. Horizontal red line: This line is closest to your vehicle and represents the area about 18 inches (or a foot and a half) from the rear of your car. This distance might be smaller if you’re on a sloping or bumpy surface. https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/IMG_20190701_134438.jpg?x67694 3. Next horizontal line (either yellow or blue): The yellow or blue line behind the red line represents the area about 3 feet from the bumper of your vehicle, give or take a little bit. This line can get a bit distorted as you look away from the center of the camera, due to the shaping of the camera. Be forewarned!!! https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/IMG_20190701_134512.jpg?x67694 In as much as backup cameras aid drivers to reverse their car, be especially careful about the ‘blind area” behind and around you. Don’t rely solely on reverse camera. Source: https://autojosh.com/meaning-coloured-lines-toyota-backup-camera/ |
https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/bottle-cap-challenge-bmw-768x491.png The Bottle Cap Challenge has become the order of the day and it has taken over various social media platforms recently. The Bottle Cap Challenge requires people to side-kick the cap off a plastic bottle of water, placing the item on a flat surface and full unscrewing the top with a roundhouse martial arts kick. Celebrities like Jason Statham, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Basketmouth, have released their own version of the challenge. For a while now, a lot of people have followed suit and BMW don’t want to be left out. The challenge originated on June 25, courtesy of Taekwondo fighter and instructor Farabi Davletchin. https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Yaba-Railway-Track-2.jpg This is a section of the railway track at the Yaba bus stop axis of Lagos state. The condition of the track there calls for urgent attention. The tracks there has almost assumed a subterranean structure, as it has almost become buried underneath the track surface. The concern is that this can cause a track shift – a situation where the track doesn’t align with other section. This can prove to be dangerous as it can cause a derailment or other train mishap. Even more worrisome is the fact that that particular section is very busy with human activities. Incidences of train derailments are not uncommon on railway tracks in Lagos state. Trains derail for a number of reasons, of which the mechanical failure or defect of a track component (for example broken rails, gauge spread due to sleeper (tie) failure). Can the condition of the Yaba Bus stop railway tracks be a disaster waiting to occur? https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Yaba-Railway-Track-1.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Yaba-Railway-Track-3-1.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Yaba-Railway-Track-4.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Yaba-Railway-Track-5.jpg https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Yaba-Railway-Track-6.jpg Source: https://autojosh.com/an-this-condition-of-the-railway-track-cause-a-derailment-photos/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun

Popular actor, Richard Mofe Damijo, better known as RMD, once said during an interview, that he does not consider himself a superstar until he starts seeing his pictures posted all over commercial vehicles. Well, many would consider his statement as a veiled attempt to be humble about his status. While superstar status might not be exactly determined by how much of your pictures adorn commercial vehicles or any other medium, however, it could suggest a fanatical following. For instance, in the photos here is the windscreen of a Keke NAPEP. The windscreen is almost covered with images of star musical artiste, Ayo Balogun, famously known by the stage-name Wizkid. https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Keke-Wizkid-fan-6.jpg The spread of his pictures on the windscreen is to the extent that it is almost hindering the visibility of the rider. Doesn't this sort of fanatism a bit to the extreme? Besides the stickers, there are other items such as ink marks, baskets, insignias, emblems, etc on the windscreen. All these together on the windscreen can pose grave consequences to the rider and his passengers. Shouldn't such practice be discouraged amongst commercial vehicle operators? https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Keke-Wizkid-fan-7.jpg Source: https://autojosh.com/see-what-a-wizkid-fan-did-on-the-windscreen-of-his-keke-napep-photos/

Popular lawyer and politician, Festus Keyamo, is someone that is never shy of making public statements. The Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) earlier today tweeted about the Governor of Kwara state, Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq. In the tweeter message with a riding video of the Governor at an airport, Keyamo showered encomiums on the Governor for carrying his own bag at an airport. In the tweet via his twitter handle @fkeyamo, Keyamo wrote: "Commendable humility and civility: Kwara Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, on queue at the airport carrying his own sling bag across his shoulders." In April, 2018, Keyamo was appointed as the Director of Strategic Communications (Official Spokesperson) of the 2019 re-election bid of the President of Nigeria. https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Bleeding-Brakes.jpg Have you ever heard of the term “Brake Bleeding” and have been wondering what on earth it means? To some, it may sounds like a medical procedure, and to some other, they entirely have no idea of what it means. Don’t be surprised that some still haven’t heard of such. In case you’re in any of these categories, worry no further because Autojosh has your back as usual. You’ll be cleared of all you need to know when you’re done reading this write-up. Bleeding the brakes is the procedure performed on hydraulic brake systems whereby the brake lines (the pipes and hoses containing the brake fluid) are purged of any air bubbles. In a simpler term, it is a common maintenance procedure done on your hydraulic car brakes to remove bubble so that your brakes can operate safely and effectively. Bleeding the brakes falls under the routine maintenance category, and should be performed over the life of a vehicle. Most experts recommend bleeding your brakes every 2 to 3 years to keep them in topnotch condition. Bleeding the brake system of your car is very necessary because the presence of bubbles in the brake system reduces the hydraulic pressure developed within the system. This in turn will reduce the effectiveness of your brake. Using the usual Nigerian statement, your brakes ‘won’t catch‘ as it should. How to bleed brake pedals Bleeding your car brake line isn’t a child’s play and it’s advised you leave it to be handled by professionals. But below is a rundown of what professionals do when the bleed your brakes. 1. The brake bleed screw behind each brake is loosened and then tightened again, but not super tight. Special bleeder wrenches are required to loosen these screws. 2. A flexible rubber hose will be placed over the end of the bleeder screw and the other end of the hose will be put in a jar. The jar will be filled with brake fluid to cover the end of the hose. 3. A second person will pump the brake pedal a few times and then hold the brake pedal down while the bleeder screw is opened again. 4. Brake fluid will squirt out and air bubbles will be visible in the fluid. While the brake pedal is still depressed the bleeder screws will be re-tightened. The brake pedal will now be released. 5. This process will be repeated until no air bubbles are visible in the fluid. The entire process will then be repeated on each wheel. When last did you bleed your brakes? Last Saturday, in Madrid, Spain, thousands of protesters went on the street to express dissatisfaction with the suspension of a ban on cars that run on petrol and diesel. The protest was believed to be inspired by the fear that Europe might be on the verge of toeing the same line as the United State that has rolled back on its environmental policies. The protest was believed to be inspired by the fear that Europe might be on the verge of toeing the same line as the United State that has rolled back on its environmental policies. https://e9r8e7v9.stackpathcdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/protest-madrid-2.jpg?x66560 Last November, the far-left government in Madrid banned most petrol and diesel cars from its city to tackle high levels of nitrogen dioxide in the environment. The policy was known as “Madrid central” and it was intended to bring Madrid into line with EU clean air rules, which it had been violating since 2010. During the protest, residents of Madrid of all ages rallied despite a scorching heatwave in Spain and most of Europe, which had already forced the city of Paris to ban more than half of all registered cars from its roads earlier this week because the heat worsens pollution. https://e9r8e7v9.stackpathcdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/protest-madrid.jpg?x66560 The European Commission has warned Spain that it would face sanctions and a possible lawsuit if it fails to meet air quality standards in its largest cities of Madrid and Barcelona. Various European cities including Paris, Hamburg, Amsterdam, London, and Oslo have started to penalize or ban older polluting cars as they seek to phase out all fossil fuel cars in the coming decade. The new city hall in Madrid run by the conservative People’s Party suspended fines on cars entering the currently restricted area of around five sq. km (two sq miles) from July 1, while it reviews the plan to make it “compatible with citizens’ mobility needs”. https://e9r8e7v9.stackpathcdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/protest-madrid-3.jpg?x66560 https://e9r8e7v9.stackpathcdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/protest-madrid-6.jpg?x66560 Source: https://autojosh.com/thousands-of-people-protested-against-the-use-of-petrol-diesel-cars-in-madrid-see-photos/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun

A photo of some cars with melted chassis has been circulating online. According to the riding message, the cars melted due to an extreme heatwave in Kuwait. According to the message, “Kuwait on Saturday recorded the highest temperatures in the world; reaching up to 63 degrees Celsius under direct sunlight.”. A fact check shows that the information is false. https://e9r8e7v9.stackpathcdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Heat-wave-melt-cars-1.jpg?x66560 According to our findings, this particular photo has been circulating over the years. It has previously been attributed to Saudi Arabia and Arizona. The image was actually captured in the aftermath of a fire at a construction site in Tucson in Arizona in June 2018. The extreme heat from a nearby building at the burning site caused the melting of the cars, not a heatwave. https://e9r8e7v9.stackpathcdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/colorado-google-maps-drivers-stuck-768x431.jpg?x66560 The purpose of Google map is to rightly guide you to a location you’re not familiar with. But when this Google map does the opposite of what it’s meant to do, we can say there is a problem. An erroneous direction from Google map which offered about 100 Colorado drivers a supposedly quick way out of a traffic jam left them stranded and stuck. A crash on Peña Boulevard, a road leading to Denver International Airport, prompted the app to take drivers on a detour on Sunday. The alternate route took drivers down a dirt road that rain had turned into a muddy mess, and cars started sliding around. Some vehicles couldn’t make it through the mud, and about 100 others became trapped behind them. Connie Monsees was on her way to pick up her husband at the airport when she encountered the wreck on Peña Boulevard. “I thought ‘maybe there’s a detour’ and pulled it up on Google Maps, and it gave me a a detour that was half the time,” she said. “It was 43 minutes initially, and it was going to be 23 instead — so I took the exit and drove where they told me to. “There were bunches of other cars going down [the dirt road] too, so I said, ‘I guess it’s OK.’ It was not OK.” Google said the road was not marked as private. “We take many factors into account when determining driving routes, including the size of the road and the directness of the route,” the company said in a statement. “While we always work to provide the best directions, issues can arise due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather. We encourage all drivers to follow local laws, stay attentive, and use their best judgment while driving.” Luckily, Monsees’ car has all-wheel drive, and she was able to get through the sticky situation. She even gave two people a ride to the airport, and they were able to catch their flights. “I tore up the front passenger wheel well liner,” Monsees said, adding that others had it much worse. https://e9r8e7v9.stackpathcdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/DRIVERS-LICENSE.jpg?x66560 The Lagos State Motor Vehicle Administration Agency (MVAA) has called on members of the public who had applied for drivers’ licences but are yet to collect same to visit stations where they applied and processed their documents for collection. A statement issued on Wednesday by the Deputy Director, Public Affairs in the Agency, Mrs. Ronke Famakinwa noted that the call became imperative in view of the mounting pile of unclaimed drivers licences in some of the Agency’s stations. It, therefore, urged all those affected to visit any of its stations at Ojodu, Somolu, Ikorodu, Ojo, Epe, Ikeja, Apapa, Alaka, Agege, Sura, Iru Victoria Island, Alimosho and Coker-Aguda for the collection, adding that the stations would also be opened on Saturdays between the hours of 10.00am and 2.00pm in order to ease the process of collection for those who might not be available during weekdays. The release emphasised that it is compulsory and legal for every motorist to carry a valid driver’s licence in the State just as it reiterated the need for motorists to desist from patronising touts and other unscrupulous individuals for licence processing.
