El rufai may just be working for Tinubu undercover to win reelection. Remember Tinubu is a political master strategist. |
Emilokan without focus |
It is compete foolishness to justify devaluing the naira because China does same. china and Nigeria are not in the same class in so many areas. Industries don't run on generator in China, China has enough productive capacity that can serve one third of the world's population. So devaluing their currency is strategic to boost their economy. In the case of Nigeria devaluing the naira causes inflation because farmers are selling all their goods to neighbouring countries causing food shortage and inflation. |
When you see how swift Nigerian politicians switch political party, loyalty and alliance you will understand why it will take us a very long time to make real progress.as a country. We are blinded by personal interest, religion, ethnic sentiment etc. Nobody stands for what he truly believes even if it will mean being on the losing side. |
You can see the reason why Tinubu led govt is eager to urgently support a bill to regulate the social media so Nigerians won't challenge their excesses. But we shall resist them vehemently. |
Renewed looting, AWA lokan |
Prof Wole Soyinka, will you have the courage speak up against this corrupt and clueless government or will you embrace the hypocritical 'Tinwa Tinwa' culture of defending your own even in the face of brazen looting and financial recklessness? |
Emilokan means it's our turn to loot at the federal level |
This is what he meant by EMILOKAN. Some ethnic and sentimental idiots whose natural trait is hypocrisy and double standard will either keep quiet or build defense for this financial recklessness. |
FG dey lament so that citizens go Pity them. Nonsense clueless government |
omohayek:What you don't understand the revenue the state boast of is coming from your pocket. Wise state enriches the citizens and not the govt |
Evolutionism:Hunger will kee them one by one since they they prefer ethnic sentiment over rational thinking. Let them enjoy their Emilokan promax hardship |
Opposition party are behind the fall of the naira and the hardship in Nigeria. Igbos are the reason why several companies are leaving Nigeria because they didn't support Tinubu. |
I don't see the hardship ending anytime soon because Tinubu is driven by a passion to increase revenue generation and this is a recipe for hardship. This is because more money in the hands of govt through taxes means less money in the hands of citizens. Less money in the hands of citizens will negatively affect the consumption power which will also affect businesses. To end hardship, the govt must come up with economic policies that can stimulate the economy, increase the consumption capacity of citizens and provide investment fund for small and medium scale businesses. |
The combination of subsidy removal and floating the exchange caused inflation which has weakened the naira. Both policies were right but implemented at the wrong time without any strategic measure to cushion the shocks on the economy. The right thing to do now is to reverse the policy and implement contractionary monetary policy to curb inflation amongst other measures. |
Tinubu ideology of governance is limited to increase in IGR and nothing more. With the high inflationary trend and hardship in the land taking more money from the hands of the citizens is not the way to go. But we can't blame him this is the only strategy he is used to from time immemorial. Generate revenue and share amongst his cronies |
abhosts:Any new IGR scheme increases hardship because it further reduces the disposable income of citizens. If you want to liberate our economy, allow more money in the hands of small and medium scale business owners and consumers. Govt IGR never stimulate any economy. |
Myrepublic:Don't mind the two wraps of fuffu idiot who think he can change the narrative and divert ou attention from the real issue. In today's global world, you are celebrating eating two wraps of fufu. So many coconut head on nairaland |
Isaac Fasoye represents so many mischievous elements in this country who will never say the truth because of ethnic sentiment, political affiliations and selfish gains. What he is trying to say is that the govt has no responsibility to manage the economy and that we should be contented and feel successful once we can eat fufu and ponmo. What a shame. |
When the APC and Tinubu urchins see the monumental failure of this govt they try to divert the attention of Nigerians from the real issue. The simple truth is that Tinubu policies have destroyed our economy and his economic team are not in the class of Ngozi Okonjo Iweala who are tested technocrat. If he can not bring in Iweala he should bring Godwin Emefiele. |
NwaliE01:There is no economy in the world that is self sufficient in every areas of their economic life. As long as the earth remains, international trade will always be. The real issue here is not even the rate of the dollar but the general inflation rate in the country. Even prices of locally grown and produced items are in the increase. The farmers Tinubu appointed to manage the economy are far worse than Emefiele. Tinubu should incorporate Ngozi Iweala to help him salvage our dying economy. This is now beyond Emilokan |
The Save Nigeria group headed by Tunde Bakare and supported by Wole Soyinka who campaigned and protested when $1=197 and a litre of fuel was N145 have all refused to say a word now that the country is on death roll. You can win a Nobel prize and not be noble |
A bag of rice is twice the minimum wage in Nigeria, 1kg cooking gas is N1200, the economy is poorly managed, the inflation rate is totally absurd. Nigerians must wake up to kick out this incompetent and clueless govt before things get out of hand. Please ignore the likes of Isaac Fasoye, they are disappointed with Tinubu's failure but of course, the Tinwa Tinwa factor will always make them defend failure and ignore facts |
When you plot against others don't forget to watch your back. God forbid anything happens to Tinubu, the north will automatically take over and reverse all his one sided executive orders and policies. You can't build a country with ethnic sentiments, injustice and unfairness. Anarchy looms either now or later MrEverest: |
Tinubu has abandon crucial issues like economy and helping the value of the naira, he is busy relocating federal agencies, ministries and departments. This was his main aim of running for presidency. Well, the northern elites should start wailing since they also hate justice and fairness |
Fubara has a game plan, he signed those directives from Tinubu and Wike to show he wants peace but he has his strategy to Bleep Wike eventually |
Fubara has a game plan, he signed those agreement to show he wants peace but he has his strategy to Bleep Wike eventually |
Prosecute them according to the law, spare no sacred cow so others can learn |
GRV exposed these same things Funsho Doherty is talking about and he was vilified and called all sort of unprintable names. |
DesChyko:I think they know their highly reverred leaders are stealing their future but they prefer to pretend about it. |
seguno2:This is the dimension they introduce (the ethnic card) to any topic that offends their lord and master |
Kay25:Keep defending criminals and your oppressors. I pray your next generations don't run from the misery from home to seek asylum in Libya, Congo or Cotonou. If you see the full budget of the blue line for the past 16 years and what has been looted, you won't believe your eyes. |
