In 2015 the south west formed alliance with the North to wrest power from the south when Jonathan would have completed his second term. At that time the south west didn't consider it as short changing the southern region. Now the want Jonathan to reject a northern offer to complete his second term because they feel this will shortchange the southern region and return power to the north after 4 years. What goes around, comes around. Jonathan should accept the offer and do his second term.

Tinubu can only become president if Buhari endorses him and rig the election in his favour. Outside this, the south east, south south and some of the south west wont vote for him. He is not popular in the north. I think he knows his only hope is the Buhari controlled APC, else he would have formed another political party merger but if does it will expose his true political value because he will fail woefully

People like Tunde Bakare like many others who are still observing the 2023 politics won't have the kind of courage shown by Bishop Kukah because they are still hopeful of being favoured with the presidential ticket. But once its certain its not coming their way, they will start speaking against all the ills of Buhari's govt at the 11th hour (between 2022 to 2023). But this will just be for the records, so he can challenge anybody who accuses him of not speaking against Buhari's govt. Its all about politics.

Pastor Tunde Bakare doesn't seem concern about Buhari's collosal failure and nepotism, his concern is to sing the praises of Tinubu to pave way for his 2023 presidential ambition.

You can clearly see the difference between Bishop Kukah and Pastor Tunde Bakare. They are both known to be fearless and had the courage to speak to power. However, Bakare openly said on camera that he can not criticise Buhari's govt openly because they are friends. But the bible says "open rebuke is better than secret love" I see Bishop Kukah as a man of principles and Pastor Bakare a man of sentiments.

This same man led an "issue based" SAVE-NIGERIA rally in 2012 at Ojota to condemn the so called "poor performance" of the Good luck Jonathan administration and to demand for better governance. This time around he has shifted from the main issues troubling the nation such has worsening economic and security situation to sing the praises of a personality who has his eyes on the presidential seat in 2023. This is very typical of a Yoruba man, always shifting the goal post and changing standards to suit their present preference. I respect him as a man of God but in political matters he is not different from other politicians

Eta should be a loyal party man and respect the decision of the party. Just like in Lagos, it was the party decision to give the governorship ticket to Sanwo olu instead of Ambode. In Edo state it was the party decision to give the governorship ticket to Ize iyamu instead of Obaseki. In the above cases the decision of the party held sway.

I expect those political leaders who have always preached the doctrine of "respect for party decisions " to call Eta Hillard to respect the party decision just like Oshio-pikin has done.

Just like Osibanjo became VP after Obasanjo presidency, Igbos will cry marginalization and shout of Biafra tire.. It will be difficult for Jagaban to form new party now. APC merger succeeded mostly because of aggrieved PDP members who decamped all across the 36 states plus the popularity of Buhari in the north. Jagaban knows quite well he can't have such advantage now and win presidential election. He has relied more on federal might to prosecute his 2023 ambition.
