this is what we call " maximum shishi". serves the molester right. Homosexuality has been beaten out of him. |
That Dakar statute should be in the amazing sculptures thread already on frontpage. |
cyber lover by Frank. Very intriguing and suspence-filled |
whatever you do pls don't quit that job. Cost of keeping a family is quite high. Get an apartment close to where you work no matter how small. That creche at Elegushi is on the high side but remains the most feasible solution for now. The Lord will strengthen you. |
take the job and do it diligently. I know someone who got a federal job through one of the guests who regularly lodged in d hotel he was working. The guest happened to be a DG of a govt parastatal and was impressed at d way the guy worked inspite of his meagre salary. |
dr dams: The Holly & the Ivy,u just made my day by providing d lyrics of dis song. That was d Xmas anthem in my primary sch back then. |
those words he used on you are too harsh. He even had the guts to insult ur mum. Let him go. Don't be swayed by his SMS. |

my landlord said the same thing about my dstv. He complained that the dish was affecting the roof. Before we returned from work he had shifted the dish and disrupted its settings. We had to unmount it and ended up giving it out. He switches off our generator by himself every night. He seizes children's toys and bicycles. I don tire |
This reminds me of my service year in a village called Kumbo in Taraba state. This looks exactly like their market. Vegetables are sold only on market days which is once a week. At first I found it ridiculous but later got used to it. |

oga Sienna, car doctor and other car gurus in car talk section, would u recommend a Nissan primera 1998 model SE for a new driver? I'm about to get one. It looks clean and d mechanic confirmed that d engine is sound but that d ball joints have to be replaced. Is this a very serious issue? Is this a reliable car? I'll appreciate your comments. |

I had my son at the Karl Bremer hospital in Capetown. It was a beautiful experience i must confess. Baby was overdue and there were no signs of labour. The doctors did fetal heart monitoring to know if i could be induced. After about 35-40 mins, a consultant informed me that d baby was distressed and recommended a c/s. I agreed and signed the consent form. I felt so at ease- d nurses and doctors were friendly, the wards were clean and d personnel explained every procedure. In thirty minutes i was wheeled to d theatre. I even chatted with d anaesthesiologist (a Nigerian). I was wheeled out and sewn up. I had never seen people who enjoyed their jobs like those health personnel. Even when they forced me to walk to the bathroom on d following day, it was done professionally. They said early movement would aid recovery.Meals were served on time. I need to add that i didn't pay a dime throughout pregnancy n delivery. Not a single rand was demanded. All drugs were given free.D recovery was so fast that i resumed classes in less than 2weeks. I'm pregnant with my second baby here in Nigeria and i'm praying seriously for safe delivery. |
In d same dilemma. Will appreciate more responses |
@teemilo. I wouldn't want u to leave ur son behind. Since ur field is criminology, there's a masters programme (international criminal justice and crime prevention) fully funded by DAAD. It's in Capetown SA. I got full scholarship(tuition, living expenses, accommodation, flight ticket and a summer trip to Germany). I didn't go to Germany cos i was pregnant at d time. If u do very well, u can get a Phd positn. If u are lucky to get d scholarship, i can give u tips on how to go about settling down with ur son and studying. I did it, u can do it too. I bought a used volkswagen bus in December for transport biz. I spent over 400k on d bus. Drivers gave me so much headache then d bus kept breaking down. Now it's grounded. I'm still trying to recover from d loss. LESSON: DONT VENTURE INTO A BIZ U KNOW NOTHING ABOUT OR A BIZ U WON'T BE PERSONALLY INVOLVED IN. |
Hummingbird, i think u should see ur doctor immediately. Next 2weeks is a long time. He may tell u to take some tests to rule out pre-eclampsia. Also don't let d stress of wedding preparations get to u. Make use of people around u to get things done. The ceremony will turn out fine even without u being overtly involved involved in d preparatns. I was in my first trimester when i got married too. I didn't bother about organising asoebi or other things. I let my sister handle most of those things. What matters now is ur health and that of ur baby. Wishing u a happy married life in advance. |
The concept "children born out of wedlock" is foreign to us in Africa. The women having children for 2face know this. That's why when a man dies his property gets divided equally among all his children as long as he had acknowledged their paternity in his lifetime. Even where he does not provide for them in his will, the will can be challenged on this basis. |
I left my phone at a biz centre where i was making photocopy. It was after 3 hrs that i noticed i lost it. I dialled my no and a guy picked it up. He said he was in church that i could come to his church to pick it. He returned it and i told him he had lived up to the church name- Practical christianity ministry. |
Hmm! Baba Obadare. A true man of God. He truly loved God and gave his life to the spread of d gospel. His blindness was only physical. His spiritual sight was sharp. He will surely be missed. RIP BABA RERE. Singing mode- A b' aso felele, a ba so felele, angeli lo gbe baba lo s' orun rere. Angels in flowing robes carried him to heaven. |
