they dont even send interns. They have some casuals workers they pay out of pocket. Those are the people they send for enforcement patrol

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Special Appeal To All Employers Of Labour And HR by ayandee: 6:33pm On Oct 14, 2021
In this same hard économy, there are people rejecting job offers and changing jobs for higher paying ones. This is simply because they have skills that are in high demand. Those jobs are never advertised. It's the people in that field or line of jobs that recommend themselves. Sometimes employers pick-up their profiles from LinkedIn and just call them for interviews. This applies mostly to IT, cybersecurity and IT audit jobs.

If you can, find your way into that field. It's lucrative

Politics / Re: Ndubuisi Kanu To Be Buried On October 15, 2021 - Court Rules by ayandee: 4:26pm On Oct 12, 2021
eldoradoxx:
Usually when a polygamous man dies, his first wife and her children see it as opportunity to undo what he did while alive in marrying more than one wife. Soon after his passing, they would want to monopolize his body, divorce his second or other wife(wives) and declare the other sets of children as bastards who are neither entitled to participate in the burial of their own father nor share from his estate.
But the court is always their to listen to them.
If while alive, a man identified himself with more than one wife and had children from other women whether married to them or not, they are all part of the family and must participate in his burial and share of his estate. My friend that is a lawyer told me that the fact that a man had children outside wedlock does not make the children any lesser in all their father's affairs dead or alive.
jtrue. There are no bastards before the law as long as the deceased recognised a child as his in his lifetime, such a child has equal rights

JustNumb:
How do I report a winners chapel pastor?

Do I confront her about again or just tell her people?

My family members don't know about it yet cos if I mention it to them, her respect is gone forever.

Edit : for those asking, we were friends for many years even before we got married. I didn't marry her cos of virginity. Who virginity help?

I married her cos she was my friend and we were compatible

You should confront her and tell her that rubbish must stop. As a matter of fact, she must delete the pastor's number. Call the Pastor also to leave your wife alone or you report him to his employers, if he is in an organised church like winners or redemed. Get his wife's number and tell her to caution her husband.
Report your wife to her parents if all these do not work. Do everything to save your home

Education / Re: Fraud In Private Nursery/Pri Schl:Must A Child Buy A Book His Elder Ones Have? by ayandee: 8:03pm On Sep 21, 2021

Private Schools have developed an advanced technique to fleece their customers.

1- Stationery fee; my child's school charged as high as 30K. On top Nursery 1 pikin o! Fear catch me. Abeg shey I no fit buy pencil & pen for my pikin ni? angry

2- Uniform fee nko? You go fear when you hear how much dem dey charge.

3- ICT charges for a Nursery child? Most private school owners won't make Heaven.

If you dare complain, they will tell you bla bla bla as if the money dey easy to make. However, I believe the bulk of the blame still lies with the government. If they had made public schools standard enough, we for get choice. But as it stands, na die we dey o. angry
I spoke with a friend who is a school proprietor some time ago. She told me Lagos has introduced 6% tax on every school fee collected par child. So what they do is to hide a part of the fee under books and stationeries, that explains why they charge as high as 30k/50k for books.

Use the money to prepare for the GRE, TOEFL, application fees, LORs etc. Seven million can't afford a MSc program in Canada neither can it get your visa approved. Apply to universities in the US with a profile as thus: 2'1 Civil Engineering, GRE of 320, stellar LORs, SOP and TOEFL score of 110. With these and many more, you will get a funded MSc or PhD program in a US university. I would have recommended South Korean universities but N7M is slightly above $10K meanwhile Korean universities state prospective applicants should have the minimum of $15K as living expenses o -(excluding tuition fees).

Go the US route. You'd spend maximum of N1M in preparation (even if you need to pay graduate studies consultants).

P.S: Whenever you decide to sell the property, please factor in the impending naira devaluation when Emefiele converts people's money in their domiciliary accounts and fuel gets to N400 per litre. By then, you might have to sell the property for not less than N10M.

See why you should forgo whatever business and flee Nigeria?
Very brillant piece of advice. Please what do you mean by "when Emefiele converts people's money in domiciliary account"

Career / Re: Choosing To Stay And Lobby For A Federal Job Or Travel Abroad For Studies by ayandee: 5:17pm On Aug 17, 2021

I'm 24 years of age finished nysc and graduated a couple of years ago. Job searching but nothing tangible out of it.

I'm opportuned as my family members are ready to sponsor me to study abroad but we're not rich just a average Nigeria family who can raise funds to do it. But the thing is that I'm having double minds as to whether to lobby and pay for a federal government job or start making plans to leave naija but the problem is that the money is there but no connect there.

What do you think I should decide ON?

Whether to stay in naija and lobby for a federal job or Start making plans to go abroad? But the thing is that we can gather the money to buy a slot if possible but no connect.

Please moderators give your opinions.
You better arrange for studies now that you are still young. Consider Canada for studies so you can stay back and get Permanent résidence. Canada gives post study work permit.

By the way, i have a federal job and i am seriously planning relocation. You better japa

I’m almost running mad. The way I immersed myself in French for over 9months, neglecting all other aspects of my life Including work. Just to come now and be waiting aimlessly. The annoying part is if you venture on twitter and see the way IRCC is ignoring all enquiries related to FSW, it’s just inhumaine. At the end of the day, it’s not the wait that is bad, it’s the fear that the stream may be discontinued. If we at least had a timeline to look forward to, it would be easier

Ne vous inquiétez pas. Your learning french is a good thing, even beyond Canada immigration. It's an asset you gained on this journey. Keep nourishing it. Fsw draws will surely come and you will get your ITA. For those of us awaiting PPR, we shall have cause to smile soon. Bon courage!
