Muslims are not terrorists. I am not a terrorist. You need to go through all your previous posts and assess how "peaceful and non terrorist" like you are.

@kpofkpof

My prayers are with you and yours. I sincerely pray that there will be strong and decisive leadership to steer the affairs of Plateau state to ensure total cessation of these kind of disasters. It is really sad.

Please stay safe. I hope we will hear from you again with better news, Amin.

@David,

Cool down. Islam is here to say, it will grow no matter what you or your likes wish for. Multiple attempts have been made to educate you but you insist on your rhetoric. By the way, remember to tell edoyad how much you hate the northerners.

@edoyad

Ask David, he'll tell you if I am a Mr or the other user IDs that you claim.
I  would have thought that you were Davidylan too if not for your admission that you are a Northerner and the fact that I know that David hates Northerners.

@OvieE,

Your post is very "non-satanic" but will definitely not bring any progress to anyone including yourself. Freedom of speech does not construe loss of sanity. Use your brain before you lose it.

I am a Nigerian muslim and I take exception to your post. At least, starting with grammar, any smart person can deduce what you are.
PoliticsRe: Jos Crisis Again by ayinba1(f): 8:56pm On Jan 19, 2010
@edoyad,

Again, thousands of Nigerian Naira wasted on you to have the experience of leaving your village. Totally wasted. Why would I claim to be Yoruba if I am not? Please rest this issue, It is irrelevant at this point.

You miss sarcasm even when it is sitting right on the tip of your nose. Has Jang offered protection yet? Please post a reliable link if you do have an answer.

Think well before you post. You remain, a northerner, to the average Nigerian.

Thank you.

Will Jang offer protection to Non Northerners that are impacted by this crisis? OOps, no he won't; he's a muslim, isn't he?
When we fail to ask the right questions, we will never get the right answers.

@op&all

I have followed with bewilderment at the amount of hate that has been going on recently on NL. The forum has degenerated into an Islam bashing/Northern Nigeria bashing/Yoruba bashing? (okay; tribe bashing) emporium.

We express dismay that all Nigerians are considered scam artists and terrorists, yet we do not hesitate to paint an entire group of people with one brush because of the actions of a few amongst them.

Hypocrites are easy to recognize. When people who live in USA, Canada or majority of Yorubaland start to blame violence on Islam, I wonder. Is it because of worldly gains that you cannot be truthful? You have lived in these lands with muslims and you KNOW in your heart that your posts blaming Islam are not true.

There is too much hate going on.
PoliticsRe: Jos Viciousness And Execution Continues by ayinba1(f): 8:02pm On Jan 19, 2010
@otokx

I believe that the news is pretty clear and unambigous, but you are pretty much in denial. I conclude by quoting Str8rtalk

Str8talk:
I am not sure that this is the right approach. Do you know that this matter can quickly spiral out of control? You can never be sure that only members of a particular group have been killed so far. The students, for instance, cannot belong to one religious group. In addition, I believe the average northerner, muslim or christian, is far more militant than southerners. So Muslims and Christians have not been folding their arms and have been killing themselves. Incidentally, there are more christians in Jos city (not just Jos North) than Muslims

PoliticsRe: Is It Possible For Hausa People To Advance ? by ayinba1(f): 7:50pm On Jan 19, 2010
@edoyad,

I am a Yoruba. I was privileged to attend a Federal school in Northern Nigeria, so I have seen the good, the bad and Ugly of our various ethnic groups. But then the question is asked of the experiences that you claim here: Did you go through those experiences or did they just go through you?

Again, what exactly is your plan for your Hausa/Muslim neighbors?
PoliticsRe: Is It Possible For Hausa People To Advance ? by ayinba1(f): 7:43pm On Jan 19, 2010
@Sunny bobo,
I will not ignore you because evil men succeed when good men do nothing. I am not a terrorist and your post is totally uncalled for.
PoliticsRe: Is It Possible For Hausa People To Advance ? by ayinba1(f): 7:06pm On Jan 19, 2010
@ for those who say the North/Hausa cannot progress, please look who is laughing now. How many times has the North produced President? Let us reverse the case that is going on NOW. If YarAdua were a SOutherner, I can assure you that a Northerner Goodluck would have been signed in by now. If other groups are afraid to lead, the Northerners are not. Yes, we may say that they have not done a good job so far, but we cannot leave these slots unfilled.

I wrote emails to all the senators on the Nigerian senate website, three of them responded. 3 of them were from the North.

So, what is the excuse for those Senators who failed to respond? Fear? Non caring attitude?

There is good and evil in everyone of us. What you choose to do really is up to you.

I read your post a while back on Zango Kataf. I do not know what your beliefs are but you sound very peaceloving indeed. Know though that there is nothing we do in this world that we will not account for in the hereafter.

And what exactly do you hope for? Split Kaduna? Kill or drive all the muslims away? In Yorubaland, you will be considered "omo ale to nfi owo osi juwe ile" You cannot live in harmony with your neighbours, the Hausa muslims, how can you expect to live with the rest of Nigerians in harmony? FYI, you are still Hausa/Northerner to the average Nigerian. SO quit while you are ahead (that is if you still are).

@beejai

You cannot leave NL because of the people you mentioned. There are sane voices here, believe me, and remember that "bad men succeed when good men fail to act".

What you can do is to be a voice of sanity on this forum and you will find that you are not alone.

Yes they will come at you with all sorts of expletives but you will find your own way of making a positive contribution.
It gets tiring sometimes but always take the higher road. You don't even need to read some people's post after a while because you can correctly predict thier responses, or you could read and just ignore.

Goodluck and again, please stay.

@Sunny bobo,
that is stale news. That guy is just average illegal immigrant from Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: The Making Of The Nigerian Terrorist by ayinba1(f): 9:50pm On Jan 15, 2010
The OP has a very good point. I read through the whole post and no where did I find him state that Umar Abdulmutallab did what he did for the sake of Nigeria. The fact is his action has affected every single one of us. The earlier we all sit up and improve our overall image, the better. However, some people here still miss the gist.

I think it is unfortunate that some posters think he should have killed his father or whatever. Now, do you have kids or plan to have some? Why advise anyone to kill anyone? Are you much different from the people that brainwashed the Xmas bomber?

Lastly, how many parents in Nigeria of today have criminals (419, yahoo yahoo, armed robbers) as children and know that this is what their children do for a living, yet never reported them to the EFCC of the police?
It is worthwhile to think about it, even for a short while, before posting.

@lindabon.

I feel your pain. The pitier becomes the pitied. At least we have a little taste of what it is to be Arabs, only that ours is compounded by 1. being blacks and 2. the other numerous bad things that Nigeria has become identified with.

@metal

Seriously, you need to grow up. I have not indicated that "Igbos" are jealous of Yorubas. When you constantly whine about the Yorubas and use all derogratory terms you can find to describe Yorubas, yet, you build your investments in Yorubaland, I can only say, you are suffering from the green monster.

Your likes are the problem with Nigeria. Instead of moving us forward, you keep going back to the errors of the past and wishing they could be again.

Because NL is an online community is no excuse for you to start name calling.

Again, you may have been Yoruba, Ibo or Hausa for all I care, I still say tribalism is not going to yield any good fruits.
So, Yorubas are the least of your problems. And if you get a chance, ask Ikemba, he is happy to be back home (NIGERIA) What he committed was an act of treason and Gowon and Nigerians have forgiven him, so please let's move forward.
PoliticsRe: If Ojukwu Hadn't Fought In 1967, What Would Have Become Of N/delta Today? by ayinba1(f): 8:37pm On Jan 15, 2010
@asha 80,

u too??  huh  huh You don't get it!

@Sunny-

Okay, give yourself a chance, post and stay away from tribal bashing. You know, is still available. If you really believe in Biafra, you can invite like minds and you know, maybe actually make some progress.
PoliticsRe: If Ojukwu Hadn't Fought In 1967, What Would Have Become Of N/delta Today? by ayinba1(f): 8:24pm On Jan 15, 2010
@katsumoto,

I like the way you reason. Unfortunately, the likes of Sunny-bobo have been nursed from infancy that Biafra is a place like Eldorado. They set the Igbo people back way more than they can even fathom. It may be impossible to change their minds. They continue to propose Biafra and at the same time whine about not getting a shot at the presidency? Makes no sense.

As to their anti-Yoruba sentiments, only one word for it---Jealousy.
PoliticsRe: General Brutalises Innocent Citizen Again by ayinba1(f): 10:47pm On Jan 13, 2010
@onlytruth,

I like the way you are thinking. It is sad though that the majority are saying "let things be as they are"
How about a different angle for the bootyhunter. Right now, there is no law allowing it. But can the firm represent the client as his/her lawyer, get the perpertrator as you described, haul him to court (before that, have him pay some money for the damages) and see what gives?

I don't know if the court will favor the victim but we Nigerians may have to take our own fate in our hands. Enacting a law takes legislators, I emailed each one of them since December 2009, I have 3 responses so far.
PoliticsRe: Shouldn't Nigerians Abroad Feel Guilty? by ayinba1(f): 4:52pm On Jan 12, 2010
I am a Nigerian abroad and I have no feelings of guilt. Next time, you may want to title your post " Shouldn't some Nigerians Feel Guilty?". I had to choose between taking bribeswaiting for an opportunity to get a government political post so I can steal money versus, leaving the country and earning a honest living. Why should I feel guilty that I chose honest, hard work?

I really do not get your rationale for this thread. Are you a Nigerian? If yes, you are one of the privileged who "travel out" for school etc. Do you or any member of your family hold a position in the government? Do you benefit in any way (financially) from the current government? If yes, you should be the one that feels guilty.

Being a citizen of another nation does not preclude fighting against injustice in Nigeria. What do you propose that we do? Sit and say nothing when we have family back in Nigeria and we know that things could be a lot better with proper management of ressources?

As per facebook, you really don't have to visit and look at all those pics.

Dear Mr Birmah
The President of Nigeria is right now in Saudi Arabia recuperating, after a very successful medical treatment. As I am writing this, he has spoken to some top government officials to thank them for their support in holding fort in his absence, and for the prayers being said by the nation for his quick recovery. We expect him back home in Nigeria very soon. I hope this answers your question.

Please try to send emails to these senators. It's the least we can do OR at least send emails to the ones from your senatorial district. We cannot continue to complain without action.

Salam alaykum sister,

I am happy to read your post, and also proud of the fact that you plan on having children. I say Amin to the prayers already said, and also pray that the marriage and the fruits of it will be a good thing for you in this world and in the hereafter, Amin o.

As my people say, after "Rabbana, it is time for amala(a local dish).

Ehmm, you don't need to reply to my post on NL. Is there a brother already? I have a brother (my mother's son), single and very eligible. We take very good care of our wives. Please email me at ayinba@yahoo.com.

Thank you, salam

Kobojunkie,

I am not one of those posters on NL who think anything of you and I want you to take note. You will not see the relevance of my statement on someone wishing war from the US or anynation at that on Nigeria, because there is none as blind as those who refuse to see.

And to humor you, there was nothing simple about your post. I am not pretentious, I do not like the way you respond to my posts. Brush up on your etiquette if you must reply to my post.
