PoliticsRe: Abuja Blasts Latest: Sss, Efcc Trace $20m To Politician’s Account by ayinba1(f): 3:31am On Oct 07, 2010
The bomb blast has GEJ's fingerprint all over it. He is the one that should be investigated. I must say though that I never knew that he would spend so much money planting stooges every thread on NL

The type of defense that some people are putting up for GEJ is ludicrous to say the least; somewhat scary too if they are actually not paid.

And once you show that you see through all this, you are probably tagged an IBB supporter.

I do not support IBB but every Nigerian that believes he is capable has a right to run for office. The choice/vote is in our hands. Dear God, let not my people continue to mortgage the future of their unborn granchildren for a sack of Brazilian rice.

GEJ, I bow! I beg go take some lessons,All these moves are too amateurish.

The GEJ/JEGA dude always had diarrhea of the mouth but BABA Go Slow (RIP) shielded Us from his village liquor tainted spews.

Sadly, we are now getting it full force and with the whole world watching.

@Beaf

Quit trying to twist the facts here. Please name the three arrested so far. GEJ does talk carelessly without knowing what he is talking about. The footbal ban saga, remember anyone??

I am one of those who strongly supported a handover to GEJ from a sick YarAdua; not because I thought that GEJ was a good guy, but because he was the NEXT IN COMMAND-- Pardon my caps ppl.

All he cares about is to consolidate himself in power, he is trying to use this MEND attack to hunt down his political enemies and he will only have himself to blame. No sympathies from this end. The dude has written his own political death sentence and is on the way to becoming suicidal-
PoliticsRe: Goodluck Jonathan Says Mend Is Not Responsible For Abuja Attacks. by ayinba1(f): 4:34pm On Oct 03, 2010
GEJ is a clueless opportunist. He has NO information. He is trying to drum up political sympathy but for where? He fails again,,  woefully.

If he knows, I mean if HE has any clue, how long is he going to dilly dally before arresting the "culprits"? Ohhhh, he is scared s---tless of MEND so he has to find a scapegoat.

Or is he going to start arresting the Northern politicians, them no born am. Chicken hearted! A sick YarAdua WAS better than this guy. Yanma yanma, Pscheeewwwww
If there is NO RIGGING in this elections (PLS NOTE THE IF), there is NO WAY Nigerians will vote in GEJ-JEGA who is ready to show us that he is the BABA ISALE of MEND.

Beaf and cohorts, pls make up your minds. On the one hand, you claim that MEND are freedom fighters, On the other, you claim that they can be used by some norhtern politicians. I guess some tribes are really directionless and robotic that they have to be believed to be carrying out the wishes of their Hausa Lords. Again, make up your minds!
PoliticsRe: A Truly Shameful Nation by ayinba1(f): 4:20pm On Oct 03, 2010
PICTURE IS SICKKKKK!!!

Please stop excusing one bad deed for another. The pix could have been taken after the children were washed, cleaned, fed and happily reunited with their families. This is awful.

No one says the women in power should not wear "to match" but having these traumatised kids pose with them is the issue here. Even if you did not look at it that way at first, think about it for a second (maybe a minute)

We are not going to have better leaders if we do not change our ways for the better.

Yes, the parents may be so grateful that they do not mind a one minute pose for picture BUT, what is the AIM of taking this pix? Abuse of RIGHTS, They should sue, please. This will tell the ruling class that it is not business as usual.

Any parental permission obtained for the taking or using of this picture? I bet NONE!

We must refuse to be treated like animals for the abuser to stop. Again, some people here will do worse if given a chance.
PoliticsRe: Abuja Bombings: Ibb's Invisible Hand And Gejs Bravery by ayinba1(f): 4:21am On Oct 03, 2010
publisher:
Make no mistake about it,Nigeria's great 'Evil Genius' IBB has already commenced a media war against GEJ. A section of the Nigerian media/press has been secretly bought over by Babangida. AIT and Sahara reporters seem to have been thoroughly enlisted in this scheme. The IBB group also instructed the media outlets not to openly engage in any self cleansing campaign for IBB but rather they should simply concentrate on GEJ's flaws. Before the Abuja bomb blast, two points of flaws were being magnified by IBBs media co-horts,these are the first ladies'   'unpolished' nature and also the eastern politicians meeting lockout.

Now with the Abuja bomb blast,they've added a third sour point.

IBB's camp reached a deal with Henry Okah's faction of MEND,Okah is not satisfied with the Niger-Delta amnesty deal,he wants some form of power within that region,unlike other repentant militants who just want a good life and a brighter future.
IBB's camp has promised Henry Okah's group a front line role in Niger delta issues if he's elected. Anyone reading MENDs reasons for attempting to disrupt the independence celebrations would notice that these reasons were actually an after thought and quite baseless. Now,anyone who read MENDs threat would see that the main intention was to set up a bomb around and inside the Eagle square premises,thereby causing chaos and a stampede.
The government did a relatively good job by safe guarding the Eagle square and its environs,the closest the terrorist could get was about 1 km away. In as much as one does not support the huge resources spent on the 50th anniversary celebrations,President Jonathan Goodluck scored a major point, in the sense that the independence celebrations took place inspite of the Bomb threat. If the celebrations had been hurriedly called off due to MENDs threat (as hoped for by IBB's camp),that would have been the biggest embarrassment to Goodluck Jonathan's administration and his political opponents would have used it to portray GEJ as a weak leader unable to tackle Nigeria's problems due to inexperience. IBB would have then be touted as a stronger and more experienced leader.
Publisher,

All your claims are unsubstantiated. However, I will say one thing
GEJ's wife is REALLY CRASS and uncultured; thank you for reminding us even though we try to forget it/

And for those claiming that MEND probably did not do this, Is this the first or second time that they will bomb some place causing the death of civilianshuh??
PoliticsRe: Goodluck Jonathan Says Mend Is Not Responsible For Abuja Attacks. by ayinba1(f): 3:43am On Oct 03, 2010
GEJ- JEGA has shown again and again that he is not presidential material. We can as well accept that he is a member of MEND. For those throwing out conspiracy theories, could he have orchestrated this attack to gain political sympathy? More people actually sympatised with him until this most recent statement accredited to him.

Again, I disagree, his political opponents are not interested in killing him; they would have finished him a long time ago. Was Bola Ige running for an office? What about Idiagbon? No be Nigeria??

He should just STef Up! He can go ahead, vacate the Aso Villa, and join his fellow kidnappers in the creeks (i quote an earlier poster). Of course, being a Professor ( especally in Nigeria) is not a guarantee of wisdom.

An hour after his speech, MEND issues an apology. I think this Ijawman's liquor is being laced with a little sumfin!
PoliticsRe: Mend Threatens Bomb Attack In Abuja by ayinba1(f): 5:27pm On Oct 01, 2010
Jakumo:
This first of October 2011 Abuja car bomb attack is NOT the handiwork of any Niger Delta militant group. While those oil-field militants are proven old hands in fielding demolition explosives, the ascension of their tribesman Jonathan Goodluck to the position of Nigeria's president coincided with an unprecedented general disarmament and cessation of hostilities by ALL the Niger Delta's armed groups, in a peace accord that holds to this day and hour.

Retired former military dictators of the Northern Islamic subspecies, seeking to create a climate of fear among voters in the upcoming Nigerian presidential elections, would be more plausible masterminds willing to orchestrate this classic Bhagdad single-site double-blast, timed moments apart to inflict maximum casualties among servicemen responding to the scene after the first of two choreographed explosions.

Jonathan Goodluck, the ONLY Nigerian president to break Nigeria's 35-year electrical blackout, by lighting up more of the Nigerian nation than any leader in living memory, has accrued enough genuine, nationwide goodwill, to ASSURE the mold-breaking incumbent a sweeping electoral victory in the next presidential polls. It is hardly surprising, therefore, that "The Opposition", currently comprising those homicidal geriatric ghosts of military reign, former tyrants Babangida and Buhari, may have already chosen the path of bloodshed and chaos, in what will ultimately prove a spectacular FAILURE of an attempt to rig or influence the outcome of those upcoming presidential polls.
ARE YOU FOR REAL?

So if the WEST does not classify MEND as a terrorist organisation, it means they are not terrorists!! Hmmnnn!! Slavery mentality is inbred in some people.

Please wake up people, some started by saying MEND is not really responsible; (thanks Beaf for the confirmation email).
People's lives are lost, gone never to return. It doesn't matter who is responsible but when you take the lives of inoocent people because of your displeasure at government or authority, you have committed an act of TERROR.

Stop yearning/praying for intertribal wars by blaming the Hausas for this.

Seriously, if you are true to yourself, you can easily read an English translation of the Quran, fear not, it doesn't bite, Or better still, do a google search and find where the Quran tells muslims to commit suicide bombing for 72 virgins or otherwise.

My own 2$s

Some of the people posting here have NO CLUE.

OP
In a full day, there are no more than 24 hours. Even though you do not say it, I bet he complains about intimacy too as I would assume that you will be tired on a 4-5 hrs of sleep a day schedule.

For starters, you can have your cake and eat it; not the other way round.

I work but only because I get paid for it so NO thank you, I am not a career woman, I am a woman and would love to be a true home maker; if I can afford it. That said, the lifestyle that you currently have cannot be sustained by your hubby's income. That to me is a more valid reason for you to work 5am to midnight; than any effing excuse of boredom. Which kain boredom be that?
I will gladly hand my job to you in return for the money, thank you!

You have had some good advices here; I hope you make the right choices. If you make more money that your hubby to the extent that you could possibly get cut off of utilities or FOOD if you stopped working, then you guys need to reassess and reconfigure your lifestyles.

I do not hate housework but no matter how I pray or wish for it, 24 hours still make on day and I am human and not ashamed to say I get tired. So big wahala with me and my hubby all the time. Not many men will gladly take over the household chores so be realistic and know that he will always resent doing it even knowing that you are tired.

Good luck to you.

Remember, the black couple that gave birth to the "white kid", Ok, the correct scientific term is MUTATION , but my wonderful caucasian scientists will qualify it every other than that.
RomanceRe: My Fiance Says Am Fat. by ayinba1(f): 11:58pm On Aug 20, 2010
My own 2 $s- as an experienced hand. People don't change after marriage and that's a fact. In your heart, you know he does not like you being fat, even if you  lose weight now to fit into his dream shape, what are you going to do when the babies come? Will you get a nose job too? and a boob job?You are on the right track actually thinking about this before you take the plunge.

I want to assume this guy is a Nigerian Brad Pitt or at least RMD, So chin up girl, you don't need to be depressed. But do not think for one second that this guy will "change". If he really loves you, you will never have heard what his friends said about your looks or weight. He would have professed his love for you to them and not let you learn of such hurtful remarks.

Good luck to u!

This is a good eyeopener. A friend of mine once went to UAE and even though he tried to explain how things were, we had a hard time grasping it. We continued to encourage him to try and find a job like we did in the US and UK even as visitors. Now I see clearlyhow impossible his situation was. The dude returned to Nigeria safely, I might say.
You may have family or friend that is being promised a job in Dubai, having read this, would you not say, NO WAY. I would protect mine from making this erroneous trip.

Nothing in Sharia or Islam permits this type of enslavement. Even though they are Arabs, they do not do what is Islamically right.

You ARE RIGHT!
PoliticsRe: Samuel Ladoke Akintola by ayinba1(f): 11:33pm On Aug 04, 2010
@Katsumoto
Thanks, though I'll say you are beginning to confuse me. When I say respect to Awo for bringing forth policies that ensured a quick end to the war, do you even appreciate what that means? It brought an end to the continous killing of the Easterners Nigerians and prevented the civil war from going on for longer than it did.

Dude, how on earth is pointing this out disrespectful to his legacy? In case you misunderstood me, it is not the only thing he is respected for, it is one of the things, in the light of the fact that my question had to do with him serving under a military Northerner led non democratically elected government. You can be an Awo fan and still be objective, that is actually better.

And now you ask me if Gowon is not a human being or a Nigerian. Gowon is indeed a human being and a Nigerian. I believe my question was directed at those who say Aknitola was a villain because of his alliance with Ahmadu Bello and Tafawa Balewa. If you are one of those, then your question is rather double speak.

PoliticsRe: Samuel Ladoke Akintola by ayinba1(f): 10:43pm On Aug 04, 2010
@Katsumoto,

I did not claim to be an expert in Akintola's hsitory. FYI, I am not even Ogbomosho. I asked a question and while pointedly refusing to answer the question,(I'll understand if you don't know the answer), you are picking on the question that I asked Ijebuman.

But to your question about how many angles, I will say, as many as there are. I am not touting one source to be superior to the other, I may agree with one source more than the other but hey, we all get to make our own choices, no need to enforce it upon others.

My question about Awo was not malicious, you will agree with me that some school of thought could raise that as a question of the man's character.
PoliticsRe: Samuel Ladoke Akintola by ayinba1(f): 10:32pm On Aug 04, 2010

PoliticsRe: Samuel Ladoke Akintola by ayinba1(f): 9:57pm On Aug 04, 2010
Well dear Katsumoto,

You did not quite answer my question. Awolowo was quite well respected because he is believed to have brought a quick end to the Biafran war , smart dude- I know yanmiris hate him. Some argue that he should never have taken up an appointment with the military if he really believed in democracy and I guess that is why this question becomes important plus that military was NORTHERN headed.
PoliticsRe: Samuel Ladoke Akintola by ayinba1(f): 9:43pm On Aug 04, 2010
@all

We learn more each time. I do have a question for those who propose that Akintola was "bad" because he worked with the Northerners. Just to clarify issues here, Did Awolowo change in personality when he decided /agreed to work with Gowon? Or did that make him a bad man? Personally, as long as we remain one entity called Nigeria, I will support a statesman who thinks of us as that regardless of his tribal origin. If we secede and become separate countries, then the game changes.

Also, an appeal here, I think both men did their bit, history may have favored one better than the other but again, history is the way it is. I remember when I was a kid and people thought that Awo was immortal.
Can we outline their collective or individual positive styles which were helpful in nation building; pls note that I am not advocating secessionist policies or ideas- thanks

@Katsumoto

I admire your patience, it is a great virtue. It is patently obvious that the original poster is trying to revise history. We the yorubas have seen the benefit of having Awolowo as a leader, we see the Akinloyes, Akintolas and others who had positions of authority and used it for their own benefit as traitors, they had the opportunity of being sons but chose to be slaves.
We know Awolowo as a human being had his faults but as a leader, he was second to none. I never knew Akintola wanted to enforce feudalism but if it is true, may he rot in hell. Can you imagine the west as backward as the core north? Does the OP expect yorubas to stand up for such a man? The greatest equalizers in life are education and the internet, and Akintola wanted to take away the only equalizer of that time? Atun ku e lona Orun.
I find the above pretty distasteful. This discussion has been fairly intellectual so far, pls do not ruin it. Katsumoto, caution when people comment on the extremes, even if they agree with you. And no! I disagree to the comment that to yorubas or most yorubas, Awolowo is considered a god.'some Yorubas' is more Like it. Dayokanu, thanks for not catching hercule's bait.
overall, we are all learning from these exchanges. Remember also, history is as the historians write it and you will get multiple versions. The onus lies on you to make your choice
PoliticsRe: Samuel Ladoke Akintola by ayinba1(f): 5:19pm On Aug 02, 2010
I agree more with dayokanu's analysis than katsumotos. I am from Oyo state, I don't know too much about Akintola but I know just enough about Awo. He did a lot of great things for the West but we are thankful he never became PM/President. No, not to smear him, but he was not a saint.
And katsumoto, you keep repeating that he was asked by his party to contest at the federal levee. What history books are you reading? Please be a little more objective. Do you even know Awolowo, is he someone that would do that just because his party asked him to? He was ambitious, perharps we can all agree on that, not that ambition is a bad thing but please don't insult his memory by painting him as 'sodo' or 'mugu'
