Politics › Re: BPE Announces Buyers For Power Plants by AZeD1(m): 5:17pm On Sep 25, 2012
PEREP: Is this about the individual or Nigerians are liberalized and can demand service for every penny unlike the moribund PHCN we have today. They will be shapened up to our taste. Remember Econet wireless came before MTN and then Glo who single handedly forced down the pricing and pricing structure of Telecomms in Nigeria.

You may as well throw up other companies that you think should have gotten it.
Dude don't compare telecomms with power. If you don't like MTN, you can buy glo sim and it would work anywhere but if you don't like your distribution company, you have 2 options (1) run your gen or (2) Park away to a new distribution zone.

okpara ugo: So how good will it be when you continue lending to debtors huh
There is a loop whole in the system, until that loop is plugged there will always be in trouble. Like someone said earlier, all Otedola has to do is borrow by proxy and the banks will give them. While all this is happenning, innocent workers will lose their jobs.
Politics › Re: CBN Stops Otedola, Dantata From Bank Loans by AZeD1(m): 6:12pm On Sep 21, 2012
obowunmi: Not sure how long the bank restriction is - but this move is effective because for a business owner, cash is king. Unless they start selling assets, I don't know where they will find this amount of unaccountable FREE cash.
Dude you surprise me...Just watch how they will get a government contract with 50% mobilization fee paid up front.
Politics › Re: CBN Stops Otedola, Dantata From Bank Loans by AZeD1(m): 5:26pm On Sep 21, 2012
obowunmi: What are you saying? When Madoff was caught for fraud, didn't people lose their job? Are you saying that frauds like Madoff should continue to exist so people don't lose their jobs? Pls use your brain before posting.

Frauds, debtors, and ponzi schemers need to be wiped out so real and viable businesses can enter the space. How many jobs are these hoodlums creating anyway? How much do they pay the average Nigeria - 10,000 per month? Abeg carry go joor.
Dude you should actually use your brain. Madoff is in jail how many of this guys are going to jail? Can you tell me how this move affects the people involved?
Politics › Re: CBN Stops Otedola, Dantata From Bank Loans by AZeD1(m): 5:16pm On Sep 21, 2012
This is a bad move cos more people will lose their jobs while the owners of the companies involved will not be affected.

strangest: ok, so tomorrow after auctioning the individuals truck which is also his means of livelihood and he turns to a criminal and starts robbing and shooting people, who do we blame?
Good idea, lets abolish all laws so people can do what they like instead of robbing..

damoobaba: I hav an issue with this their one way stuff, most of these routes do not have any sign to show they are "one way" aΩ̴̩̩̩̥d̶̲̥̅̊ of course the Agbero LASTMA officials are always quick to seize the opportunity to make extra cash.
Thats my only problem with the law. All roads should be labelled properly.
Politics › Re: Lagos To Auction Seized Bullion Van, Truck by AZeD1(m): 1:54pm On Sep 21, 2012
I like this law. Too many idiots posing as drivers. I don't think any punishment is too much for someone driving against traffic. This law will curb the excesses of many drivers in the state. If you are a good driver, no need to worry.

lordZOUGA: the owner of the thread kinda messsed up
Well yes and no....
Yes cos i've not been communicating and directing things as i should have.
No cos there are certain issues i have to deal with in my private life. Still working on it though....

I uploaded kobo's code to the github page long ago.
doctorfox: Most of the work on this has been done here www.iwatchlive.org and yourbudgit.com
Probably we can join hands on these.
If the owners would let us, no problem.

jmaine: Yes they deviated into criminality, but not as a cover cos it went side by side with their struggle. They simply saw an opportunity to steal and make more money, thereby lashing unto it full time grin . . . . . .

I quite agree with your post anyway wink
As for the bolded true talk... When i was doing my bsc, i told my friends if cultist could kill people, why not kill them and use them for blood money. It would be terrible to suffer on earth and in hell.
Politics › Re: Ex-Minister Emmanuel Ihenacho Arrested For Oil Theft by AZeD1(m): 11:16am On Sep 15, 2012
jmaine: Just one question for you . . .Do you strongly believe Ihenacho is innocent . . .Yes / No . .

The above should guide our next discussion . . .
Ihenacho is guilty.
As for the boko haram, Mend issue, i feel both are criminal organisations and mend used fighting for 'their rights' as a cover up for their bunkering activities. Boko haram are just a bunch of idiots.
Politics › Re: Ex-Minister Emmanuel Ihenacho Arrested For Oil Theft by AZeD1(m): 10:18am On Sep 15, 2012
jmaine: I take it that you have no further questions . . .Thanks for your time . . . .
One more question...
Mend murdered people, Boko haram is also murdering people(on a larger scale though).
Is there any reason to kill another human being except in the case of self defence?
Politics › Re: Ex-Minister Emmanuel Ihenacho Arrested For Oil Theft by AZeD1(m): 10:05am On Sep 15, 2012
jmaine: BH are a bunch of brain washed, demented psychopaths who don't even know what they are fighting for . . . . .

During an armed conflict, you need all the means to stockpile weaponry . . .and the MEND guys indulged in all manner of vices not only to raise slush cash for their operations but to make their demands for due attention met and taken seriously . . .

Have any further question for me ?
When a man sees black and calls it white there is no point in debating with him.....
Ignorance is no excuse in law.... MEND and boko haram are the same thing....criminal organisations
Politics › Re: Ex-Minister Emmanuel Ihenacho Arrested For Oil Theft by AZeD1(m): 9:44am On Sep 15, 2012
jmaine: All vices in their armed struggle with the FG for obvious reasons of marginalization . . . .And the amnesty wipes all of that away for obvious gains in the Oil industry . .

Debating the morality of giving him a contract is anothing entirely . .but here, he delivered on what he is been paid to do . . .catch oil thieves . .and he did just that precisely . . .
What is boko haram to you? Besides there is absolutely no reason for one to kidnap no reason at all

agabaI23: Most Nigerians are confused.

They shout , fight corruption! The EFCC in an operations update report they have charged a yahoo yahoo kingpin to court to show they are working.

They shout again na wash, make them arrest the politicians looting the country dry. Breaking News! A former minister is arrested in connection with oil bunkering.... Abegi, na witchhunting because he supported so and so. Come on guys, was he the only ex minister who switched loyalty? What matters is that he is allegedly a thief. He shld defend himself or get imprisoned. Nigeria, too much skepticism is dangerous, show some optimism and solidarity.
What happened to Ibori, Bankole, Gbenga Daniels, Farouk e.t.c They were all arrested but you know how it ended. There's a saying fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me....

dedeike: Like I said before, the anti corruption war is on course. All oil thieves must not go unpunished for all the calamity they have caused our nation.
This govt's anti graft war is no respecter of persons. JONA no dey look face. If you mess up, you answer your papa name.
It started with the indictment of 25 big oil companies and marketers by the AIG committee report. The first of its kind in the Petroluem industry.
The govt went ahead to charge the sons of Bamangar TUKUR and Ahmadu Ali to court.
In addition, there are over 15 men of the oil cabal facing trial.

Now integrated oil has been caught pants down. These are Indeed interesting times for anti corruption activists.
Bros tell us what happened to Farouk, the boko haram guy caught in the borno government house lodge, the senator from borno state. As for the bolded part may be you were not updated that the charges have been withdrawn.....

I had to quickly get an oyster card cos what i was paying just for transportation alone was outrageous for short distances I was freaking out grin grin grin
Infact if you consider the Naija equivalent when buying things una go just give una self hypertension shocked. Wonderful experience so far but am already feeling homesick cry almost like I should return home. The lady who helped me around one very young girl from Afghanisthan said it's just a day that i'il get use to it.

You know when you are so used to disorder(am speaking of Lagos life), when you get to an orderly place to adjust is a little bit difficult. I wished there was okada yesterday as i had to wait for the bus and sometimes had to wait for 30mins or more. These oyinbo people sef funny, no public show of concern to anyone Na OYO you dey lol grin Dem no get family ties or brotherly atmosphere like for naija.

Salsera send me an email.
Dude i also had conversion fever when i first arrived but with time you get cured..
Its funny no one on this thread is coming to coventry...

faithin9ja: Bank of America does not issue legal tender in America - the US central bank is the Federal Reserve Bank
$5000 is equal to a second hand car, $5000 is N750,000 is CBN printing N750,000 note?
N5000 note will buy a meal for two in KFC, $100 note will buy a meal for two in KFC.

Ask yourself when last you spent N5000, then ask the American when last he spent $5000 - but the American did spend $100

N5000 equals $75 NOT $5000
I'm willing to bet a vast majority of Americans would pay the 100 dolls with their card not cash.

snthesis: ppl fail to realize that the key term is competition- whichever of the cronies buys up PHCN- it will be run as a business and businesses are out to make profit, to make profit you have to provide good service, so its a win-win situation for the populace provided the regulator remains above board
There is no competition in power... Consumers are stuck with on distribution company. If you don't like them, all you can do is run on gen or change house to another zone.

If they had decided to keep Dame's health status secret, it's their choice. Must you know everything going on in their family?
I think it's gossips like this that they were trying to avoid by not publicizing the matter. because people like you are always waiting for GEJ news to jump on.
Oga Nigerians are paying the bills so they should know. If GEJ doesn't want his business in public, he should resign.....
