It didn't start with Buhari.

Everyone knows CNN is a fake news outlet. They are the biggest promoters of propaganda. Last week Trump called Africa shit hole and CNN was outraged, reporting it till date. However, the Libya slave trade problem created by obama's administration didn't get as much coverage.
CNN was the news outlet that reported the Libyan slave trade.

FFK should understand the meaning of ethnic cleansing.

We are watching.

Fashola and Buhari should do nothing whatsoever to scuttle Ambode’s and Dangote’s planned 12,000 MW plan for 24hr power supply to Lagos.

We are watching. It always starts like this.
Ambode plan helps Fashola so why would scuttle it? Taking Lagos of the National grid means Lagos allocation goes somewhere else and Fashola would become a hero to the people who get it.

12,000MW plant costs an average of 12 billion dollars to build and another 12 Billion dollars as running costs. From start to finish, It will take 4 - 5 years to build.

Stop dreaming, cuz ambode is preparing for re-election next year.
Lagos never pay for their 2 billion dollars loan during Fashola era, Talk more of another 15 - 20 Billion dollars New loan.
Ambode is not building a power plant, it's all private sector led.

This country would not cease to amaze me. Just yesterday, 02-01-2018, there was fuel everywhere at filling stations. As at the same time last week, we were all grappling with the realities of no fuel at filling stations even at the height of the yuletide period. The question is, why is it only during Christmas we experience fuel scarcity? Please correct me if am wrong, there has NEVER been fuel scarcity during any of the religious festivities except Christmas. Is this deliberate or a calculated attempt to mess up the Christmas for Christians by the cabal from a section of this country? Do not get me wrong, I am not fanning the embers of religious sectarianism but just trying to reason.
It's sad that at this age and time, you still reason like this.

During the Christmas season, the prices of everything increases, going by your logic, there must be a cabal some where that order all business people to increase the price of their goods.

ImadeUReadThis:
Not defending Buruntai ?

Anyways....

Tinubu's first contact with Chagoury began during the Abacha regime and Tinubu's pretend membership of NADECO

Chagoury was a major business confidant to Abacha and international fixer for that regime.

The Clinton administration was set to pass sweeping sanctions against Abacha until Chagoury's timely campaign fundind to Clinton's second bid and also to the Clinton foundation.

There is no need stating that Chagoury's campaign funding to Clinton came from non other than Abacha himsel!

The Clinton administration will later tone down to opting for "sincere dialogue" in returning Nigeria to democratic rule.

Tinubu who at this time was recently sent back to Nigeria to infiltrate civil advocacy groups by his CIA handlers and was now parading himself as an agent of democtacy and good governance was suggested to Chagoury as a possible vp candidate to Abacha during his transition from military to civilian govt.

Chagoury was in a position to lobby Abacha in seeing Tinubu as a go between candidate to pacify the SW over Abiola's june 12 mandate and also the Americans.

The death of Abacha ended this arrangement.

Chagoury will later support Tinubu in his quest to dominate SW political terrain.

Tinubu after all is a godson to Chagoury and once Chagoury goes down so will Tinubu
Are you saying that in the whole of Nigeria, Tinubu is the only person that is friends with Chagoury?

Or are you saying in the whole of Nigeria, Tinubu is the only one that does business with Chagoury?

While I agree with your position on Rail, sadly last I checked it's the sole responsibility of FG (especially inter-state). The port is really not a bad idea if we look at it assuming the leaders can galvanize business to it and allow private concerns free hand to explore.
There are ways around the rail issues and isn't that why we have National Assembly members?

People say we should return to regionalism as the country was progressive then but the chances of having it now is slim at least politically but economically it can be done.

The SS, SE, SW can and should come together as a region to foster development.
There's no freaking reason why Edo, Delta and Bayelsa States should be competing against each other.

The reason why Tinapa is not as viable as it should is because Cross River why alone on that project.

You do not compete with your neighbors, you complement them.

you r also talking as if you know more than the investors investing their money on those project and for you to type having a seaport does not boost IGR shows how jealous you are or i advice you ask lagos state how important is apapa and tincan is to their economy.
Talking about delta seaport; i advice you carryout a study on koko and warri seaport whish is poorly manage due to failure on the part of their government. And are you also inform that these seaport also increase employment too?
For the rail lines project; the federal ministry of transports is already working on that and it amount to waste in investing on an already federal project. I know you are not wiser than the investors or government investing on these project to boost productivity and employment in her regions
This right here is the reason why Nigeria as a whole doesn't work.
1) Don't compare any State with Lagos. Lagos has the population and market.
2) Saying a Seaport or airport increases IGR shows that you know nothing about economics. How has the Warri Port increased the IGR of Delta State? How has the Airport in Benin increased the IGR of Edo State?
3) Saying building a Sea Port would provide jobs is short sighted. You don't build a Sea Port because it would provide jobs, you build a Sea Port because it's economically viable.
4) The reason why the Warri Port doesn't function is because there's no traffic. The same thing would affect the Edo Port and Bayelsa Port.
Politics › Re: Governor Dickson Pays Army N400m For Seaport Survey by AZeD1(m): 2:33pm On Dec 29, 2017
noruwasman:
Edo proposed sea port according to the plan of edo state government is to export her agricultural products. According to the plan of the edo state government who has woo alot of agro expert to invest in commercial agri and agro business to it will be unwise to transports her massive products to delta before exporting. If state like lagos can own apapa and still in lekki deep seaport and other seaport within her plan so what stop edo from investing in seaport to boost her IGR. For your information beyesa has 70pcent water(deep sea) and the project was long over due but for the carelessness and ineffectuality Jonathan and it cost them lack of federal support. So therefore it's a welcome development and should be encourage without political interference
You are talking as if this States have unlimited funds. There's something called opportunity cost.

Having a Seaport doesn't improve IGR unless the Port has close to 100% usage rate.
Has the Governor found out why the Warri Port is not viable? What has he done to make sure the Edo Port doesn't go the way of Warri Port?

Wouldn't it be smarter to build a rail line from Benin to Warri? The rail way line would carry people as well as goods hence serving a larger number of Edolites?
Politics › Re: Governor Dickson Pays Army N400m For Seaport Survey by AZeD1(m): 2:08pm On Dec 29, 2017
bakynes:
That is what I am saying you get sense rather than every state building Seaport why not build rail lines with cargo coaches that will move your goods down to your state and relieve the roads of pressure from large trailers and tankers.

I am pretty sure if all coastal states build a Seaport some will definitely experience little or no patronage.
Most of the governors start this projects because of the huge funds involved. It's easy to loot with this kind of project.

The coastal States need just one mega Seaport and one airport. Then massive rail lines that connect all the States to the Sea Port and airport.

That way, each state can avoid competing with each other.

What people looking TonyeBarcanista hasn't realised is Ogun State gets the largest share of FDI coming into the country and it doesn't have a Sea Port or an airport. Ogun's State marketing is simply "We are one hour away from Lagos with more land".
Politics › Re: Governor Dickson Pays Army N400m For Seaport Survey by AZeD1(m): 1:55pm On Dec 29, 2017
bakynes:
Be reasonable, building Seaport in every SS state is not sustainable, some of them will definitely experience low or no patronage. Baylesa can always use the Seaport in its neighbouring states like PH port, Onne port and Warri port. Edo also can also use the one in Warri.

Edo and Baylesa building their own will most likely amount to waste of resources that can be channelled into something else.
Dude you are talking with Airheads here. It's the same thing with governors building airports.

Rather than spend that money on a sea port, the governor should be building rail lines to Onne and the Port Harcourt airport.

1. Who imports diesel and Kerosene
Diesel is deregulated, Kerosine importation is shoddy. It's supposed to be deregulated but....

OBAGADAFFI:
2. How did the NNPC arrive at the figure 171
They have their costing mechanism. It's the same way they arrived at 145.
OBAGADAFFI:
3. If PMS is subsidized, is Kerosene subsidized?
PMS is not officially subsided. The NNPC is running at a loss for now. I don't know about Kerosine.
OBAGADAFFI:
4. If the FG /NNPC is not paying money, what are they paying to bring fuel into the country and at what cost
NNPC traditionally swaps it's daily quota for imported refund products, more like trade and better.
OBAGADAFFI:
5. Can we see the profit and loss statement of the NNPC? huh
Why are you asking me? Did I tell you I work with the NNPC?
Note: the NNPC is supposed to pay any money to Marketers. Since marketers don't import fuel.
