Abu Hurayrah reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) heard a man reciting Qul huwa Allaahu ahad, and said, “It is his right.’ They asked, ‘O Messenger of Allaah, what is his right?’ He said, ‘Paradise is his right.’ (Reported by Imaam Ahmad, 7669) |
Jazakallahumma khairan chakula, please continue posting. |
Assalamualaikum wa-rahmutullahi wa-barakatuhu, On the authority of Mo'ath ibn Anas (ralliallahu anhu), the Prophet (sallallahu alahiwasallam) said: "whoever recite 'Allah is one'(ie Surat Al-Ikhlas) till he finish it ten times, Allah will build(or grant) him a palace in paradise" Umar ibn Al-Khattab(ralliallahu anhu), then said:"Then, we would want (to recite it) more (to get more palaces) O Prophet of Allah (sallallahu alahiwasallam)." The Prophet (sallallahu alahiwasallam) replied: "Allah (abundant grace) is more and (He is) so kind (not to reward you for it)." [Imam al-Darimi reported it from Saeed bin al-Musayyib, Ibn Katheer said this is good Mursal narration] https://images3.cpcache.com/product/353405133v3_480x480_Front.jpg Bismillahir rahmanir rahim In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Qul Huwa-llahu 'Ahad Say: “He is Allah , [who is] One, Allahus-Samad Allah , the Eternal Refuge [As-Samad], Lam Yalid Wa Lam YuladAllah , He neither begets (gives birth to) nor is born, Walam Yakul-La-hu Kufuwan 'Ahad Nor is there to Him any equivalent.” Muslim (811) narrated from Abu’l-Dardaa’ that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Is any one of you unable to recite one-third of the Qur’aan in one night?” They said, “How could anyone read one-third of the Qur’aan?” He said, “Qul Huwa Allaahu Ahad is equivalent to one-third of the Qur’aan.” Muslim (812) narrated that Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Gather together, for I will recite to you one-third of the Qur’aan.” So those who could gather together gathered there, then the Prophet of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came out and recited Qul Huwa Allaahu Ahad, then he went in. They said to one another, Perhaps there has been some news from heaven on account of which he has gone inside (the house). Then the Prophet of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came out and said, “I told you that I was going to recite to you one-third of the Qur’aan. Verily it is equivalent to one-third of the Qur’aan.” ‘Aa’ishah (ralliallahu anha) also reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) sent a man in charge of a small military campaign, and when he recited Qur’aan whilst leading his companions in prayer, he would always end with Qul huwa Allaahu ahad. When they came back, (his companions) mentioned that to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), who told them to ask him why he did that. So they asked him, and he said, “Because it is a description of the Most Merciful, and I love to recite it.” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Tell him that Allaah loves him.” (Reported by al-Bukhaari, 6827) |
Narrated Nu'am Al-Mujmir: Once I went up the roof of the mosque, along with Abu Huraira. He perform ablution and said, "I heard the Prophet saying, "On the Day of Resurrection, my followers will be called "Al-Ghurr-ul-Muhajjalun" from the trace of ablution and whoever can increase the area of his radiance should do so (i.e. by performing ablution regularly).' Ameen Ameen Ameen, I dont know why, i am feeling a bit happy at the moment (even though i am facing a lot of unsolved problems). Alhamdullillah. : ) I was just pondering about the lives we lead. I am able to spend time here since i am free for a few months. Only Allah knows if i ll ever have such free time. Nowadays everyone is busy with college, work, family etc etc. This is the main reason we miss our Salat and slowly deviate from the way of Islam. It can happen to anyone. The perfect muslim is the one who balances worldly matters and religious matters properly. Actually the Prophet (sallallahu alaihiwasallam) and Sahabas managed all these things so perfectly that there was no distinction between the two. The lives and the world we live now is so deviant unfortunately eg its almost impossible to not mix with usury/interest with all the bank loans etc. (May Allah save us from it, Ameen). Almost every aspect of life is flirting with the probability of sinning. Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri: Allah's Apostle said, "A time will come that the best property of a Muslim will be sheep which he will take on the top of mountains and the places of rainfall (valleys) so as to flee with his religion from afflictions." I think that time is almost here. May Allah save all of us Muslims from such temptations and pressures of life. Ameen. |
muhsin:Exactly the words i was searching for. It doesnt matter if it is fabricated or not. Allah can do this and much much much more than this. Also Nowadays I always feel the end is nearing, some kind of chaos is about to happen. May Allah save us from Dajjal and the difficulties of the coming times. Ameen. |
'A'isha reported: I said: Allah's Messenger, the kahins used to tell us about things (unseen) and we found them to be true. Thereupon he said: That is a word pertaining to truth which a jinn snatches and throws into the ear of his friend, and makes an addition of one hundred lies to it. [Book 26, Number 5535: Muslim] |
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: A man sinned greatly against himself, and when death came to him he charged his sons, saying: When I have died, burn me, then crush me and scatter [my ashes] into the sea, for, by Allah, if my Lord takes possession of me, He will punish me in a manner in which He has punished no one [else]. So they did that to him. Then He[Allah] said to the earth: Produce what you have taken-and there he was! And He said to him: What induced you to do what you did? He said: Being afraid of You, O my Lord (or he said: Being frightened of You) and because of that He forgave him. It was related by Muslim (also by al-Bukhari, an-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah) |
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once passed by two graves and said: “These two persons are being tortured but not for a major sin (to avoid). One of them never saved himself from being soiled with his urine, while the other used to go about with calumnies (to make enmity between friends).” He then took a green leaf of a date-palm tree split it into two pieces and fixed one on each grave. The people said, "O Allah's Apostle! Why have you done so?" He replied, "I hope that their punishment may be lessened till they (the leaf) become dry." [Bukhari, Muslim] |
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Said: Three Types Of People Attend Friday Prayer, One Is Present In A Frivolous(not serious) Way And That Is All He Gets From It, Another Comes With A Supplication, ALLAH May Grant Or Refuse His Request As He Wishes, Another Is Present Silently And Quietly With-Out Stepping Over A Muslim Or Annoying Anyone, And That Is An Atonement For His Sins Till The Next Friday And Three Days More, The Reason Being That ALLAH, The Most High, The Exalted, Says : "He Who Does A Good Deed Will Have Ten Times As Much (Surah Al-An’am, Chapter : 6, Verse : 160), " [Abu Dawud, Book Number: 3, Hadith Number: 1108] |
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Allah will say on the Day of Resurrection: Where are those who love one another through My glory? Today I shall give them shade in My shade, it being a day when there is no shade but My shade. It was related by al-Bukhari (also by Malik). |
Its indeed sad to hear such news which make the life of a Muslim tougher. It might not be feasible for everyone to migrate to a muslim country or a secular country so that he/she doesnt face such oppression. May Allah help the Muslims in that country to practice Islam properly. Ameen. |
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: The gates of Paradise will be opened on Mondays and on Thursdays, and every servant [of Allah] who associates nothing with Allah will be forgiven, except for the man who has a grudge against his brother. [About them] it will be said: Delay these two until they are reconciled; delay these two until they are reconciled. It was related by Muslim (also by Malik and Abu Dawud). |
I have been in your situation pondering about doubtful matters. Remember this Hadith- Narrated An-Nu'man bin Bashir: I heard Allah's Apostle saying, 'Both legal and illegal things are evident but in between them there are doubtful (suspicious) things and most of the people have no knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself from these suspicious things saves his religion and his honor. And whoever indulges in these suspicious things is like a shepherd who grazes (his animals) near the Hima (private pasture) of someone else and at any moment he is liable to get in it. (O people!) Beware! Every king has a Hima and the Hima of Allah on the earth is His illegal (forbidden) things. Beware! There is a piece of flesh in the body if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoilt the whole body gets spoilt and that is the heart. [Bukhari Volume 1, Book 2, Number 49] |
zayhal:Inshallah, You will score good in the exams. May Allah make everything easy and give you a cool head for the exams. Ameen. |
Alahmdullillah, i was born to muslim parents. I cannot imagine myself not being one. But i am having a tuf time being a good muslim. May Allah guide us in the right path. Ameen. |

Dua for repentance: From the Quran * Rabbanaa faghfir lana thunoobana wa kaffir 'anna sayyiaatinaa wa tawaffanaa ma 'al abraar. Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and efface our bad deeds and take our souls in the company of the righteous (Quran 3:193). * Rabbana thalamnaa anfusanaa wa illam taghfir lanaa wa tar hamnaa lanakoo nunna meen al khasireen. Our Lord! We have sinned against ourselves and unless You grant us forgiveness and bestow Your mercy upon us, we shall most certainly be lost. * Rabbanagh firlanaa wa li ikhwaa ninallatheena sabaqoonaa bil eemani wa la taj'al fee quloobinaa ghillall lillatheena aamanoo rabbanaa innaka raoofur raheem. Our Lord! Forgive us, and our brethren who came before us into the Faith, and leave not, in our hearts, rancour (or sense of injury) against those who have believed. Our Lord! Thou art indeed Full of Kindness, Most Merciful (Quran 59:10). * Rabbanagh firlana thunoobana wa israfana fee amrina wa thabbit aqdaa mana wan surna alal qawmil kafireeen. Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and the lack of moderation in our doings, and make firm our steps and succor us against those who deny the truth (Quran 3:147). From the Hadith * Allahummagh firli thanbi kullahu diqqahu wa jillahu wa awwalahoo wa akhirahoo wa 'ala niyyatahoo wa sirrahoo. Oh Allah! Forgive me all my sins, great and small, the first and the last, those that are apparent and those that are hidden (Muslim). * Astaghfir Allah wa atoobu ilayh. I seek the forgiveness of Allah and repent to Him (Bukhari, Muslim. It is recommended that this Dua be said 100 times during the day). * Allhumma innaka afuwwun tuhibbul afwa fa'fu anni Oh Allah! You are Forgiving and love forgiveness so forgive me (Bukhari. This Dua is specifically recommended for the Night of Power or Laylatul Qadr). |
Hadith - Sahih Bukhari, Muslim, Nasa'i, Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah, and Tabarani Abu Huraira, r.a., reported that the Prophet (saw), said, ", Having a sense of shame is one branch of faith." Hadith - Bukhari's Book of Manners #420, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Hakim, and Tahawi Abu Huraira, r.a., reported that the Prophet of Allah, upon him be peace, said, "A believer is frank and decent, whereas a wrongdoer is deceitful and blameworthy." |
Hadith - Bukhari's Book of Manners #329 , Ibn 'Abbas said, "If you wish to mention the faults of your friend, mention your own faults first." Hadith - Bukhari's Book of Manners #330 , Ibn 'Abbas said on the following verse of the Qur'an, " Nor defame one another" (49:11), "Do not spend your time finding fault with one another." Hadith - Bukhari's Book of Manners #545 Jubayr ibn Nufayr reported that Mu'adh ibn Jabal said, "If you love someone, do not quarrel with him and do not annoy him. Do not ask others about him, for the one you ask might be his enemy and thus tell you things about him that are not true and thus break you apart." |
Assalamualikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu, I think we need to start a thread regarding good manners. I dont have that quality, i am trying to reach that point. Actually these days we can find very few people who have good manners and is liked by everyone. May Allah include us in the group of people having good manners. Ameen. Abu Darda (RA) reported that Rasulullah (SAW) said, “Nothing is weightier on the Scale of Deeds than one’s good manners.” (Al-Bukhari) Abu Hurairah (RA) said, “I heard Abu al Qasim say that Rasulullah (SAW), said, ‘The best among you in Islam are those with the best manners, so long as they develop a sense of understanding.'” (Al-Bukhari) Anas (RA) said, “I served Rasulullah (SAW) for ten years. During that time, he never once said to me as much as ‘Oof’ if I did something wrong. He never asked me, if I had failed to do something, ‘Why did you not do it?,’ and he never said to me, if I had done something wrong, ‘Why did you do it?” (Al-Bukhari) Abu Hurairah (RA) said that Rasulullah (SAW) said, “If one has good manners, one may attain the same level of merit as those who spend their nights in prayer.” (Al-Bukhari) Abu Hurairah reported that Rasulullah (SAW) said, “And what is most likely to send people to Paradise? Being conscious of Allah and good manners.” (Al-Bukhari) Rasulullah (SAW) said, “He who does not show mercy to our young or show esteem for our elders is not one of us.” (Al-Bukhari) |
abulbanaat:We should never allow bad innovations in our religion, we should not allow cultural traditions to encroach into Islamic practices. But i ve seen many instances even Sunnah according to Saheeh hadith being rejected by people saying it is Bida'ah just because they have not heard about it. So we have to be very careful too. |
Audhu Billahi Minashaitanir Rajeem! Audhu Billahi Minashaitanir Rajeem! Audhu Billahi Minashaitanir Rajeem! ", Whosoever works evil, will have the recompense thereof, and he will not find any protector or helper besides Allah." "And whoever does righteous good deeds, male or female, and is a (true) believer [in the Oneness of Allah (Muslim)], such will enter Paradise and not the least injustice, even to the size of a speck on the back of a date-stone, will be done to them." (Surah-4 *An-Nisa* Ayah-123 & 124) |
mojiit:Assalamualikum brother, Our religion is Islam, and we Muslims in every corner of the world believe in one universal statement, 'La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammadur rasoolu Allah.', meaning There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his Messenger. Islam is the way of life prescribed by the Almighty to us. He is our creator, our sustainer we are indebted to him forever. All Muslims follow the five pillars of Islam: 1) the belief (Iman) in one God and that Muhammad (Peace be upon him) is His messenger, 2) prayer (Salat) which are prescribed five times a day, 3) fasting (Siyam) which is required in the month of Ramadan, 4) charity (Zakat) which is the poor-due on the wealth of the rich and 5) hajj which is the pilgrimage to Mecca once in a lifetime if one can afford it physically and financially. I would like to forward you the following thread 'Curious About Islam, facts About Islam'. Lots of common questions about Islam are being answered in this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-359506.0.html (in between the thread there are few instances some people tries to derail the thread, ignore those comments.) If you have more doubts please feel free to post a new thread, we will help you to answer them Inshallah. |
zayhal:Yes there is no room for doubt about it, Dear sisters if you are in doubt or reluctant to wear hijab remember the thought is from Shaitan, DO NOT lend ears to his whisperings. Even if you will ve to go through a bit difficulty, please wear Hijab, for Allah will give you its due reward. |
Alhamdullillah, its indeed a good day, May Allah shower you with more blessings, Ameen. |
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "The example of a believer is that of a fresh tender plant; from whatever direction the wind comes, it bends it, but when the wind becomes quiet, it becomes straight again. Similarly, a believer is afflicted with calamities (but he remains patient till Allah removes his difficulties.) And an impious wicked person is like a pine tree which keeps hard and straight till Allah cuts (breaks) it down when He wishes." [Bukhari] |
@mukina ?? what seems to be the cause of despair, |
Blueray: ifyalways:Assalamualikum, Sorry for the confusion brothers. There is a difference in opinion between scholar in this topic. I posted the earlier statement and i meant: -Only a Muslim is entitled to receive Zakat(obligatory charity). BUT -Sadaqa (voluntary charity) can be given to non-Muslims also. In fact, it is not good to discriminate, while giving general charity, between a Muslim and a non-Muslim. The latter should never be deprived of help because he is not a Muslim. The basis of first statement is according to the definition of Zakat as given in a Hadith, is : " It will be taken from the wealthy among you and distributed to the poor among you." [Bukhari, Muslim] Hadith commentators like Ibn al-Mundhir, Kasani, Ibn Qudama, Buhuti, are of the opinion that "poor among you" refers to Muslims only. There is difference of opinion regarding this point, however between scholars. The above is not my personal opinion, am not a scholar. But to be on the safer side I personally give Zakat to Muslims and Sadaqa to everyone. (Since Zakat is an obligatory Ibadah i dont want to jeopardize it). May Allah accept our Zakat and Sadaqa, Ya Allah accept all our Ibadah we did in the past month of Ramadan, Ya Rahmaan , Ya Raheem forgive our sins and save us from committing more, May Allah include all of us in Heaven in Hereafter, Ameen! |
Eid Mubarak everyone, And DONT FORGET to give Zakat Al fitr before the Eid prayer. It is obligatory for every muslim. -1 Sa' (2.5kg) of any food stuff (rice, wheat) per each family member should be given. eg: 7.5kg of rice can be given on behalf of three member family. - DONT FORGET to do niyat(intention) before giving the Zakat. - You can start giving Fitr Zakat as soon as the sun sets today, but before tomorrows Eid prayer. - Since this is Zakat, the recipeint should be a Muslim. - It can be given to the needy and poor, To Zakat collectors, to recent converts. May Allah accept our Zakat and give us its benifits. Ameen |
@zayhal I think its time to start to pretend some people dont exist. Dont respond. |
