People like you are the problem of Aba. Are you happy with the present condition of Aba? Please be objective.
Oga stop lying here, Aba does not have much problem as portrayed online. The op showed only portharcourt which is still under reconstruction and we are debunking that the place alone can not represent Aba. 70% of Aba areas are more planned and organized. Pls cry more for states like Kogi state, Ogun state, Benue state, Osun and so many others where it seems to be that there's no government and nothing seems to be working.

Meanwhile, this is the same portharcourt road under construction.

keep sending us pictures of east by Ube, cliffold roads, St. John, crescent and others..... how about other 99% of Aba
Oga these areas consist of at least 42% of Aba. You people should stop lying. Please show me the picture of any part of your state that is like these. At least I posted pictures of 3 different locations. Aba-owerri road axis, Ogborhill axis and Aba city center.

Aba and Abia state you are trying to paint black online is far better than many states in the north, southwest and even southeast and southsouth.

Thanks that some of you have started believing. These miscreants(esp. Chino and kikakia with their numerous monikers) have made people online to see southeast as the worst region whereas it's the best.

akinegba1:
OWERRI TUNNEL DEMOLISHED, AS FEAR OF IMPENDING COLLAPSE GROWS HIGHER

Imo State Commissioner for Works, Ralph Nwosu yesterday visited the Gen. Aguyi Ironsi tunnel along Portharcourt road where the tunnel is currently undergoing demolition.

While inspecting the tunnel, the commissioner noted that the technical drawings and design of the tunnel are nowhere to be found. He stated that it was the considered opinion of the consultants and engineers of the ministry that the tunnel should be demolished in the interest of the public.

He further reiterated that it is better to err on the side of caution when issues of safety are involved especially for a busy road like the Assumpta Portharcourt road where the tunnel is situated.

Ralph Nwosu therefore called on Imolites especially those plying the road to exercise patience with the contractor and the government as a lasting solution is being put in place to save that spot adding that the shared prosperity government ably led by His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma is determined in serving Ndi-Imo better as anchored on her 3R Agenda.

Let them ensure that they replace it with their own quality specifications. Imo politics is becoming too annoying nowadays. Tussle here and there.

Just because the technical drawings and design of the tunnel are nowhere to be found it was demolished, something built with imo state scarce resources. On a serious note, the government should have been more afraid of the vehicles playing on top not the ones inside the ground. You destroyed something already on the ground leaving the one on suspension. Madness. Law of karma is awaiting, whatever goes around comes around.

Keep on fighting the innocent one, we are waiting to see the result.

I dont think people have a problem with putting schools outside of Owerri, but build a new school. Enough 'relocation' talk, that doesn't make sense.
This guy you quoted is not from Imo state and knows nothing about Imo. He only resides in Owerri and does his online paid job. He has been commiting this blunder of intermissing local governments and locations of imo state.

What the hell was the dude's pedigree in Imo State? He could not even get public school students in Imo State to compete with the so-called private schools. Imo State was not populated with private school when the state dominated academic cadre in Nigeria. The utter of private school in this discuss is an indictment of the goofy governor called Okoroawusa.
Bro, I leave you with whatever you think. But my last question is, what is the performance of public schools in your state?

Owerri - Okigwe road, which is still in Owerri and will most definitely end in Owerri

Why don't they do it as Okigwe - Owerri road, and go start the construction from Okigwe. That way. They'll be compelled to make sure the road gets to Owerri... Lol

Thanks @Sanctity454 for always updating us. God bless you
Hmmmm, see grammar. Guy are you from where sef? So you believe that every developmental project in Imo is concentrated in Owerri?

The road posted by Sanctity has nothing to do with Owerri city. It is Owerri road in Okigwe city dualised by Rochas now receiving attention in Uzodimma government.

Abagworo:
I've read so many comments for or against Okorocha on this thread and it is clear what the issue is. Someone even mentioned Amakohia flyover and what have you. I wrote earlier that if APC had swept 2023 politics aside and allowed Okorocha choose his successor Imo would have been on another level now. Okorocha is a man blessed with wisdom way above Nigerian average and he thinks ahead of his time which might make it difficult for less intelligent people to understand him. He had a long term program which he knew it was impossible for him to achieve in 8 years but a good successor would have riden on his extremely smart program and foundation to easily fulfil a lot. The orchestrated attempt to thwart this program is headed by non-Imolites jealous of the rapid development witnessed by Imo during Okorocha especially the buoyant economy and real estate. Okorocha was able to convince African and international leaders to start seeing Owerri as a converging point for entertainment, relaxation and possibly own homes there. That dream has been put on hold for now until a Governor who understands takes over and continue with the programs. For those who aren't politicians but have been convinced to hate Okorocha because of the manipulation of their head through media gymnastics I pray for their eyes to open so that they see the evil in those deceiving them.
Good write-up. Just allow them to be wallowing in their fantasy.

There's no justification for what Rochas did in Imo State.

Today, the state has lots of abandoned projects

That man just lacks administrative and planning know-how
Continue deceiving yourself, political tout. Rochas projects are there for all eyes to see. You can term them whatever you wish to term them but the clear truth is that he completed 90% of his projects.

It was your man, Ihedioha that closed all of them to make them seemed abandoned starting from the international cargo airport, the 10 new higher institutions, the federal high court complex, the police headquarters, the federal prison complex, the 27 general hospitals, the flyovers and tunnels and to few to mention.

Thanks God that present rational government has seen need to put some of these into use. Ihedioha is the man on Earth and God must ever punish him for destroying Imo state.

Preach from today till Thy Kingdom come, you cannot change the fact that Rochas' projects are the most inferior in the country.

I stopped taking you seriously when you said that COREN is politicised for cautioning Imolites not use elevated deathtraps Rochas built.

Admittedly, Rochas is a philanthropist but a very clueless leaders and administrator. If that man had some sense, he would have done a great job in Imo State so that everyone will support his presidential ambition.
Guy, I'm not preaching to anyone. Also take this, criticize and blackmail from today till thy kingdom come you can not stop destiny and you can not cover the truth. Do you know me too well on nairaland. If you know me you should know that I don't really have that time. I've been keeping quiet and watched earnestly the way you people criticized Abagworo and made him to be the lair whereas you are the lairs.

I stand for truth and will always stand for it, I don't know Rochas and wish not to know him but the clear truth is that Rochas did what no governor in Imo state and Nigeria at large has done considering the little resources of imo state, he touched all the sectors of imo economy in tremendous manner, he opened up the major cities and towns of Imo state. Besides, Imo is not as rich as Kano, Akwa ibom, Rivers, Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Delta, Bayelsa, kaduna, Ondo and even Edo.

Considering the Imo economic power and parity, Rochas still remain the best in my best opinion as an economist and based on the things I see on ground. The young is not a god he is a human.

Yet some goons will navigate to this forum to emphasize the good job Okoroawusa performed in Imo State. Okoroawusa tenure as the governor of Imo State was the most wasteful of all governors. It was during the jackass's reign that Imo State academically fell out of first 4 in Nigeria. What a dunce. I had rather send him to his forbearer than praise the fool.
You are totally wrong if you say so. Are you from Imo state?

The academic reference you made is totally wrong too, the data were collected based on state of origin not state of residence. The performance of my children in sokoto will be collected as imo data. Please I need to know this, the girl that scored highest in jamb does she reside in Anambra state or is she an indigene of Anambra?

Let's try and appreciate good thing, the free education policy introduced by Rochas really helped many imolites, he did what a reasonable leader can do, he put more blocks in place and built more schools. He equally took time to inspect the schools' academic activities but still government schools are government schools everywhere, no matter how best you try there's always a nonchalant attitudinal display of teachers. Most students doing well in waec and jamb today in any part of this country are those trained in private schools.

The introduction of free education policy in Imo state made most parents in Imo state to pull their children and wards from private schools.

guy, how do.you feel saying these things?
I'm telling you the truth of the whole thing as they are and you are asking me how do I feel saying it? Most of you here are paid propagandists who are bent on destroying Rochas and Imo image. You are either working for Peter Obi, Tinubu (who see Rochas as a strong obstacle to their presidential aspiration forgetting that life is controlled by destiny) or aggrieved imo politicians. Take this or leave it, Rochas is the destined one and nobody can stop him.

He tried for the ordinary Imo masses (most of his programmes are poor masses oriented) with a very little attention to Imo old political cabals, infact, he clipped their wings that was why they all teamed together to fight him including the present the governor. And this is why up to today they are doing their possible best to erase Rochas legacy. I hope you are not one of their paid agents.
