Imo1stson:
Ihedioha is nothing short of devil reincarnate. To think that he deliberately destroyed roads, streetlights and a lot of infrastructure in his quest to wipe off Rochas legacy is something that deserves stoning. Nobody can believe Ihedioha met this road very beautiful with covered drainages and sidewalks lasting over 7 years since it was built in 2012 but told people that covered drainage was poor construction and went on to excavate one lane of the road which Uzodimma has just fixed.
Ihedioha was a destroyer and a disaster. It was Rochas that created this road. Instead of Ihedioha to create his roads he was busy destroying designs on Rochas roads.

You were in imo, I am from imo and go there often. I know the projects Ihedioha began, especially in Owerri
Guy I am also from Imo and I will say it again no credit should be given to Ihedioha he was a disaster. You are now claiming that the road contracts Uzodimma is executing were the ones awarded by Ihedioha. Though I don't believe you but the same thing happened when he took over from Rochas instead of him to continue with the contracts awarded by Rochas he terminated all of them and was fighting and destroying everything on ground.

What of the 10 new higher institutions, what of the roads contracts, the Imo international cargo airport, the federal high court, the federal prison, the police headquarter, the 27 general hospitals that are not fully equipped? He terminated everything and accused Rochas of wasting Imo state funds on federal government projects, what a myopic thinking.

Instead of upgrading Akachi he attempted demolishing it. He stopped all the road contracts awarded by Rochas. And did not do anything except few months to his exit as the governor. Uzodimma is doing well and Rochas did very well. Rochas did not abandoned any of Ohakim projects, he completed the trade and investment center, Amakohia flyover and road projects like the one below started by Chief Ohakim.

But Ihedioha is Echeta ebewe, during his time, everyday news of war and destruction, show of power and supremacy. Now that Uzodimma has taken over at least there's peace in Imo. Mbaise will rule Imo again, but let them look for a more polished and right thinking person. As for Ihedioha, he was a devil in a human skin.

The rest are Ngwa towns not Aba persay

If I were go by your logic i would also recognize other Oyo local government areas
Then, who are the actual owners of Aba?
Aba city has majorly 5 LGAs of Aba north, Aba south, Osisioma, Obingwa, Ugwunagbor and some part of Isiala south. And the city is owned by Ngwa subgroup of Igbo.

During the last 20 years or so, all types of intervention constructions had taken place to stop flooding and destruction of roads around this St Joseph Church area in Umuna, but because the flood control tunnel started by Ikwechegh government to channel floods into the Orashi valley was not completed, floods continue to destroy many areas around the Church.

Hopefully, gov Uzodinma shall complete the tunnel so that the floods problem is solved completely.
Oga it's not called Orashi valley, it's called Ogidi valley

Don't mind the mofo! We fool ourselves with our mislplaced sense of security in the south in general and Igboland in particular, if we think we don't have a problem on our hands with this clandestine movement of truckloads of northerners down south! What are they looking for in Igboland? They've held power for the greater part of 60 years since 'independence' and deprived Igbos of political and economic advantages at any given opportunity! Yet now they're leaving their 'el-dorado' with all its advantages of producing presidents....hundreds of local gov'ts....gov't enabled billionaires.....smooth expressways.....multi-million dollar dams.....smooth higways and flyovers.....inter-state train services.......they leave all these and are breaking the lockdown to sneak into Igboland that they've marginalised and deprived from 1966 to date!

I actually feel for them as these youths are equally victims of the wickedness, nepotism, bigotry, greed and visionless rulership of their elite, but i'm now in self-preservation mode and have to first think of securing my homeland from COVID, threats of terrorism and any other thing the presence of these youths may bring to the south-east!
Brother, not as it's being said. These people are lacking alot. I wondered the need of holding power for many years. North is very corrupt.

We are talking about the universities and polytechnics declared by former governor Okorocha during the last 3 or 4 months of his administration. There was none declared then at Okporo. Instead, a sign board reading: Imo state university Orlu, was placed during that period by Okorocha government at the site of the school of Hygiene at Okporo.
Stop exposing yourself, Oga. Rochas was the person that established the school of nursing at Okporo, he finished that one on time before the others. He did not declare anything 3 or 4 months before the expiration of his government, the 3 or 4 months issue was when NUC accredited the schools for operation. Higher institutions is not like a secondary school that will be built and the next day you place a signboard for parents and guidance to come and register their wards, there are some procedures and channels you have to follow.

Rochas finished most of the schools one year before the expiration of his government. Some of us were asking if he will use his influence and get accreditation from NUC for the schools before he leaves office, and God being so kind, NUC honoured their request. Action of Ihedioha in closing down the schools is not in any way justifiable.

The IMSUTH and the school of nursing Amaigbo built by Udenwa got accreditation few months before the expiration of his government and Ohakim did not close anyone when he took over. Infact, some of the courses in IMSUTH got accredited during Rochas government. Ihedioha acted like a tout, a man without a foresight.

But kikake or Denis, you have been lamenting here that nothing is in Orlu and the previous government of Imo state abandoned Orlu, then how comes you are now accepting that there are schools in Orlu but close down by Ihedioha. I believe you don't know Amaigbo or the route to Amaigbo because it can be told all-over you that you don't know that a school of nursing has been existing there for the past 15yrs. Are you from where again?

I shall get unhappy if Mbaise roads are filled with potholes while governors of Imo state, one after the other, concentrate on maintaining and expanding roads on the state capital Owerri.

But bear in mind that Orlu and Owerri were not very far different in levels of urban development when Imo state was created.
If normalcy existed in Imo state, Owerri and Orlu would have developed on near same speed.

But successive governors of Imo state denied Orlu the stimulant development infrastructures like public water supply, tertiary education institution, asphalted urban roads and drainage system. Before Imo state was created, there was public water supply system in Orlu. After the present Imo state was created, public water supply stopped in Orlu, but continued in Owerri.

Former governor Ihedioha cancelled all tertiary education institutions, including Bishop Shanahan Polytechnic.

Bishop Shanahan Polytechnic does not exist anywhere in Orlu. It was one of those phantom polytechnics and universities hurriedly pronounced by Okorocha govt during the last days of his administration. Okorocha wanted to own Eastern palm university private, thus he concentrated his government development in Owerri to please Owerri to support him for third term and make him own Eastern Palm University private.

When he saw that Owerri refused to support his third term bid, he quickly declared many universities and polytechnics mostly in Orlu zone. Okorocha declared one university in Nkwere, declared Imo Poly Umuagwo a University.

Ihedioha govt committee advised that all those new universities and Polytechnic be closed, but IMSU be extended to Ogboko’s Eastern Palm University.

Ihedioha closed all the new universities and the polytechnics pronounced by Okorocha govt, including so called Bishop Shanahan Polytechnic, but went for expanding IMSU in Owerri.
can you listen to yourself? So Okorocha used just few days and hurriedly built gigantic blocks and termed them Universities and polytechnics? Those institutions took his government more than 5yrs. He started most in his 1st tenure. Please, stop misinforming people here. I knew when they were started just that I don't have pictures here I would have posted them then you and everyone here reading judge if such blocks could be built within months.

Bro., for the fact that the blocks are still existing the universities are existing too. Everybody knows that Ihedioha was too myopic and that was why they all joined hands and removed him through supreme court. All the higher institutions met the merits and were accredited by NUC. Ihedioha with his myopic thinking closed almost all of them thinking that he was fighting Rochas, with the aim of erasing Rochas' name from the history of Imo state. Not only in Orlu zone he did display his madness even in Owerri city and zone, he destroyed so many things in Owerri, he attempted pulling down Akachi tower and the various status in Heroes' square. Don't mention Ihedioha here, you and I know that he was a curse to imo state.

Today where is he? God is at work, Akachi di ya. Soon, Uzodimma will reopen those higher institutions. But that's by the way. If Bishop shanaghan polytechnic is no longer existing it will still go back to it's initial status, i.e, Imopoly Orlu campus or the person that is feeding you information about Orlu did not tell you?

Stop saying that there's no higher institution in Orlu, it's a pure lie. And stop speaking on our behalf, nobody appointed you our mouthpiece.

Apology taken.

I am very sorry for going too far to mention your father.

All my rant here is for development of entire Imo state. It’s abnormal for governments to concentrate on developing only Owerri.
Imo state is trying to spread development across it's sphere. Stop saying nonsense Oga. You've made people to see Imo as a state where all her developments concentrated only on Owerri. Okigwe as the 3rd largest town has an NTA station, a stadium and many good hotels.
All the LGAs of the state have a general hospital though not yet equipped, Ngor Okpala/Mbaise has the Imo international cargo airport, Ohaji/Egbema has many oil and gas industries and Imo polytechnic Umuagwo, Oru west has the Ama breweries Awo-mmama, Oguta has so many Imo state tourist centers and roads spread across many rural communities.

What again do you want? You want Rivers State government to abandon portharcourt and concentrate her development in Oyigbo or Omoku or you want Enugu state government to leave Enugu city and concentrate her development in Nsukka or Oji river.

Please leave our Orlu and Imo state alone, you are not doing us any good rather more harm.

Nigeria’s government does not focus on developing only Abuja under any circumstance. If Owerri is abandoned by government of Nigeria for one year, development in Owerri shall crumble n less than six months, but the way IMSG abandoned Orlu since Imo state was created, Orlu is shrinking, no water supply, no tertiary education institutions.
This guy sucks. Are you sure you have been to Orlu before? Orlu has never been abandoned by any government of imo state except Ohakim government. All the past and present governor did something in Orlu but Rochas and Udenwa take the lead for now.

You said again that there is no tertiary education institution in Orlu; then my question is, what is your definition of tertiary education institution?

What about Bishop shanaghan polytechnic Orlu, Eastern Palm University Ogboko, Technical skill acquisition institute (TESAI) Orlu, Immigration training school Umuowa, School of nursing Amaigbo, School of nursing and midwifery Ogboko, school of nursing and health technology Okporo and Hezekiah University Umudi Nkwerre?

B2mario,
Go and ask anyone from Orlu:

1) public water supply system existed in Orlu before Imo state was created. The tall and huge water overhead tank is in between Amaifeke and Owerrebeiri. Orlu was not like your rural village before Imo state was created.

2) Orlu township stadium existed long before the civil war. It was not walled then but started to be fenced after the civil war. Soldiers with koboko from Nigeria Army’s 20 Battalion Orlu used to guard round the fence of Orlu township stadium each time matches were played in the stadium. The soldiers would flog anyone who tried to force himself through the fence into the stadium.
Udenwa government merely added much more value to the stadium. Ask anyone from Orlu born before Imo state was created.

Orlu could have developed more than Owerri if former governor Evan Enwrem had built the new water supply project earmarked for Orlu zone by Mbakwe; if a tertiary education institution had been established in Orlu.

Whoever is from Orlu who reads what you write about Orlu knows that you are not from Orlu urban local government area.
All na lie. Story story. You are telling the son of the soil.
