Nairaland General › Re: Why Do You Throw Dirt Through The Car Window by ba7man(m): 6:04pm On May 22, 2013
Okija juju: How?!

name one recycling company in Nigeria?!

Even if I take it home and put it in a bin, the garbage company would still come and help me redistribute the garbage all over the city.

Abeg Chi-chi wind down ya window throway that Okpa wrapper biko.
There's no excuse for being dirty and uncivilized. Is that how Juju worshipers are supposed to act?? Get their environments dirty?? My car is a mini litter bin and i simply clean out the trash when i get home. When I'm in a public transport, I throw it on the floor of the vehicle knowing they will clean it out at their bus-parks. If everyone plays their part this nation will be cleaner.

I know in all locations in Nigeria, there's a healthy population of beer drinkers and a bottle costs $1 and above.....and they don't just drink a bottle.
Politics › Re: ActionAid - 80% Of Nigerians Not Living Above A-Dollar-A-Day by ba7man(m): 5:21pm On May 22, 2013
Frankie9ice: The fact that a wheel barrow pusher makes more than $1 a day doesn't translate to him leaving above $1 a day.
2ndly half d population of Nigeria can't even afford to buy a wheel barrow,...but am sure u ain't aware of that
Those that can't buy rent wheelbarrows @ N400 per day. They also rent shovels, cutlasses etc to go work and they earn up to $10 a day if not more. They rent to come meet me for work whenever i'm on site. Do you think an average Nigerian will sit down hungry at home and starve?? U underestimate Nigerians. Have you ever heard of a Nigerian dying from starvation??

cool cool cool I love my president. He's so meek, kind and hardworking. He just displayed his forgiving side again by willing to forgive the same Boko Haram that's caused so much deaths and embarrasment to his Government and be friends with them. Wow!!! Fresh air!!! wink wink wink
Politics › Re: ActionAid - 80% Of Nigerians Not Living Above A-Dollar-A-Day by ba7man(m): 12:50pm On May 22, 2013
I don't even think its possible to exist in Nigeria on less than a dollar a day. I'v seen the so-called "poor" own mobile phones far better than mine and they pay almost 1 dollar equivalent to watch Football matches during the weekends. Who has ever witnessed people starving to death in this country?? It simply doesn't happen. The worst you can get is malnutrition. People dwelling in the villages even have it better than city dwellers in terms of affordable, farm fresh food products. The people @Mark Ren is talking about are the lazy and mentally poor people.......When its time to drink alcohol, sit down and watch how people living on "Less than a dollar" a day act.

Politics › Re: Obama Skips Nigeria In His Africa Visit by ba7man(m): 1:30pm On May 21, 2013
shymexx: That's the problem with most of you; you're just too loud for your own good. So loud, yet so empty. It's a virus, the great Wole Soyinka, described as the "Nigerian Disease."

Anyway, what's there to further exploit in Nigeria, when the same country(America) has Nigeria on its choke-hold? Nigeria serves American interests before its national interests - that shows how much leverage America has in your country.

Your post shows that you don't understand international politics and the dynamics of "allyship" among allies. A state visit is a reassurance that; America is still down for/with you. And America will align with you, in case, you find yourself in troubled-waters/problems you can't solve on your own. The snub basically means; America doesn't want to be associated with Nigeria - despite Nigeria being its most willing-tool/submissive-servant in sub-saharan Africa.

Nigeria to America; is like that chic you smash everyday(behind closed doors), but don't want people to see with you in public. It's just disgraceful, to be honest. sad undecided
Sad......but true.
Politics › Re: Obama Skips Nigeria In His Africa Visit by ba7man(m): 1:21pm On May 21, 2013
GEJ and Obama simply aren't on the same page....The same way Nigeria's polity and America's isn't. I wonder what a conversation between them would be like....

Politics › Re: Lagos Commences Work On Fourth Mainland Bridge by ba7man(m): 11:28am On May 21, 2013
phurlabby: Sometimes I ask myself why I visit nairaland as I never post anything on here. Apart from the really funny comments which are mostly insults, I have come to realize that I do learn a few things but this continuous bickering and fighting over nothing has got to stop.
The fourth mainland bridge is supposedly 'coming to town', now that is good news, what we should be doing is thinking of how this affects we the people, how can we take advantage of it? But no, we always choose to turn this SE vs SW war. How many Northerners who virtually control this nation join in this our little squabbles? Why we constantly turn this forun into an east versus west war of words is beyond me. Our leaders have been failing us for years yet we choose to support them on here in the name ethnic allegiance and judging by the choice of words I can tell that we are mostly young.
What we should talk about is how this affects us, our future, and how we can take advantage of the little that the government is doing because at the end of the day we are the ones who can build this nation and not the government. I am more concerned with the lack of specific information about the bridge as these are the very things I would require to take advantage of it.
Very intelligent post. Some here think its by insulting people with big grammar that proves their intelligence but fail to realize it exposes their spiteful hearts and ignorance. Their lives must be full of sad and bitter experiences to be that good at insulting people. Maybe they're from abusive homes.

When i started visiting NL last year, I was shocked at the kinds of posts and insults being exchanged in this forum. It was truely a mess *For a Sane person*. Its the reduction in ethnic bashing and bigotry that this poster is missing and i think you'll be doing this forum if you and people that think like you leave. Its actually calmer now in the political section and for the better.
Politics › Re: Fashola's War On The Poor by ba7man(m): 4:30pm On May 17, 2013
Most of these beggers are all part of organized criminal rings. They bring them in from northern states based on their deformities (which explains why they all seem to be competing in "Most Deformed begger"). They beg and pay their traffikers a percentage of their daily income. They are unsightly,a source of embarrasment in an already over-crowded State. @Sincere Nigerian. Since you're so concerned, why don't you invite them to come litter the streets of Enugu. They would be so greatful, they might even elect you for a choice position in their association.

Politics › Re: ACN Commits Political Suicide by ba7man(m): 12:39pm On May 16, 2013
ilugunboy: Ultimately..it's a mix of common sense, politics and compromise. Am sure the military hawks must have suggested a full control of the SOE with Milads...but the politicians too will have outlined the backlash from some Nigerians such course of action can lead too....at the end of the day, they would have agreed on the present compromise that produced the contraption now in place. ( with close eyes on 2015 politics playing a significant part)

Our prayers here is that since the govt have now gone for the broke...this will break the deadlock.
Thanks for the enlightenment.
Politics › Re: ACN Commits Political Suicide by ba7man(m): 11:59am On May 16, 2013
I'm an ACN supporter but I'm kinda baffled at anyone opposing this "State of Emergency" declared in those Boko Haram enclave states. GEJ declaring it is a positive step but how he's going about it by leaving the Governors in power and inadequate troops doesn't inspire confidence in the whole process. I hope it gets better.

Your point has nothing to do with Religious supression. You aren't arrested b'cos of your religion if you do that.

sboga: Do F-1 or NASCAR, not some unknown race
How can you compare the GT3 series to the NASCAR series?? Which do you prefer?? A GT3 Starting grid full of Porshe GT3, Audi R8GT, Mercedes SLS GT, Aston Martin N8, BMW M3 GT etc or a Nascar starting grid full of Chevrolets and Fords?? One of their associates told me they did an assessment of possible locations in Nigeria and concluded on Lagos-Island Marina being the best location. I can already picture them blasting down that road against the backdrop of high-rise buildings there.
Car Talk › Re: Lamborgini Celebrates Its 50th Aniversary With Insane Concept Car by ba7man(op): 9:44am On May 14, 2013
Fhemmmy: I really need the indeed blessings from God oh . . .
That Lambo badge is not too far off from ownership. The Lamborghini Urus SUV will share its platform and engine with the next generation Audi Q7 and Bentley Falcon. It makes it a possible proposition to own and run in Nigeria. 0-100km/h is most likely going to be in 4.5 seconds so Third Mainland bridge full speed blasts will be very possible.
