The Media Houses are known to blow stories out of porportion while we also know the FG have always been good at lying and hiding information from the masses. The truth will always prevail in the end. |
In the bid to maximize profit, the contractors go for the cheapest, low quality products they can lay their hands on. This is what i dislike about the Chinese...they have no standards and are only good at ripping off technology and bringing down its quality. Meanwhile, we need a functional Standard Regulatory body in this Country. |
@Op. But you gotta admit that most of those pics are quite old and not all those locations are in Nigeria. No one is trying to say places like these don't exist in this country but at least, get current and correct pics.....don't dig up false set of pics to represent the reality you crave for. ![]() |
Krucifax: Since you also admit there is lots to be done. Is it not good to then point out the truth?Noted. But frankly, some of those pics you posted shows that you haven't been in the Country of late. The current administration has been dealing with the problem of illegal squatters on Government properties by evicting them and demolition but they've started screaming "Human rights abuse". The funny thing is they still pay rent to some faceless individuals to stay in those run down locations. |
@Op. I'm under 40 and i want to argue with you b'cos i know intelligence is not a function of age. At least Davido is just 20 but he'll pay your salary conveniently regardless of your age. I give work to men twice my age and they say "Thank you sir"..... |
The @OP obviously is in diaspora not to realize that the access road through Mushin has been fixed, transport buses cleared off its main roads and streetlights fixed down its length. He's probably trying to justify his stay in diaspora by projecting his warped view on people. @Op. No one is crucifying you for not being able to return to Nigeria. Its ok. I still look at my environment and frankly, there's still a lot of work to be done but there's improvement and i'm proud I'm playing my part. |
feminancy: im just watching this pics now with my boss, she is lagos born she insist 50% of the pics are fake.Your boss is right. The fact that there are Molues in some of the pics proves it. Marina hasn't looked the way it is in the above pix for over 6years now. Some of those places still exist though but some are like walking into a Garbage dump in any country, taking pics of it and posting it as the country. Makoko features prominently in the above pics too but we all know how people kicked against its demolition. |
The fact that i spotted molues in some of the pics and the old pix of Marina with the yellow buses under the bridge reduces the credibility of time the pics were taken. The poor will always exist and if an effort is made to sanitize some of those locations, its the same people that will scream "Govt is victimizing us". Most of them are illegal immigrants and are illegally occupying those areas so the logical thing to do is to clear them out of those places. LASG was doing just that but people started screaming again.... Real bummer. |
Shimshark: hehehe.. D video wit dose 3 grlz..From the album "Rags to Bitches". |
nenergy: Hahahahaha. You beat me to it. I'm currently working a photo of me and obama.lolCorrect guy....you get the drift. Some people are so 1-dimensional minded. They can't even decipher that using the Albino is part of the joke. Abi shey dat Albino resemble persin wey fit speak the English wey i write for up??

purebarbie: it nt a neccessity to go to school .thus, if u go to sch or nt ur destiny is ur destiny.what u re destined to be ,ll beI totally agree with you...Getting knowledge on your field of interest is what's important. It might be in a training institute, Being an Aprentice or just reading....Its all education. |
The Church is experiencing an explosion of knowledge. There is so much information available in the Church today and they also try to marry everyday occurences in our lives to Biblical teachings. Now the ministry teaches on Business, Relationships, Family, Technology, Motivation, etc While providing solutions from the Bible. The Church is no longer 1-Dimensional. |
HotNaijaBabe: Hmmmmnn, so sad that u have do this to yourself OP. Yeah....Sooo sad, I'm totally in tears right now |
berem: lol! you can say that again. but it's not compulsory for everyone to go to school abi?True talk my sister, if everybody leave school.....Who go come dey School?? |
WARNING: This thread is no excuse to drop out of school. |
ednut1: see as in be, mumuFunny enough, you're my namesake. ![]() |
taharqa: May God bless that Mind of yours. You saved me from having to type.We as humans have a mental sense of judgement and its determined by wisdom. Was there wisdom in the judgement passed by this Judge?? It reeks of Corruption and daftness, that's why people are angry. Its almost as if both of you are sympathetic to this Judge Talba's case. |
dewaskillz: u don't want it means to b out of office wia dat has turned out to b d routine of ur lifeIf he didn't want to be out of office, he should have done his job properly. The position of a Judge requires a high level of integrity...even higher than that of the average citizen. |
Booty butt chic:Gangsterlicious hit track. The Boondocks. |

We met at a hotel poolside while on holiday in Barbados. Very nice and down to earth in person.....

Sincere 9gerian: Good development. That is a very strong signal to Judges who act with impunity. All we need now is CONSISTENCYBad Development. Why can't they simply expel him from the judiciary?? That would have sent out a far stronger signal. One year suspension is a slap on the wrist. |
What a rude shock it must have been for the @OP discovering streets like that in Lagos. He probably thot Lagos looked like New York, Miami or California. Lol. |
Aderostock: When u have finished deceiving yourself wake me up. No state or city in Nigeria is safer and more beautiful than Lagos not even your Abuja.Cool down, Abuja is finer. People make the mistake of comparing Lagos State to cities in other regions. Lagos is made up of many parts eg Lekki, Ikeja, Surulere, Yaba, Maryland, Ikoyi, V.I, Badagry etc...Of course every part you visit can't all be fixed immediately. We're talking about the largest urban sprawl in Nigeria and you're comparing it to cities that have only a main road running through them. Yes, there are a lot of areas that need Government presence but in other states, those would be remote villages that might not have electricity. |
Just a year suspension without pay He should be expelled for life and manhandled by security personnel, just for the fun of it. |
ocular007: so these are meaningless to you @Ba7man...you are one of those haters of good governanceNow you're talking, when i first viewed the thread, there was only the pix of Gov Orji comissioning the road. |
So with all the story, that's the only pix you have to support your post. |
xtianh: so the money generated from these streets where are they taken to? If those citizens that pays tax through various medium cannot enjoy common good road then what are u saying?Who told you they pay tax?? A very small population in Nigeria pay Tax. Go around Nigerian cities and you'll see worse. |
xtianh: . What's the meaning of your post. Please explain.C'mon, you don't expect me to start explaining my sentence as if you're 5yrs old. If you insist, there is no location in the world that doesn't have its own eye-sore areas. You didn't expect the largest urban sprawl in Nigeria to be all flowery and sweetness. No occurence in life is like that. |
xtianh: . You are welcome Sir.Excuse me, were you really expecting all the streets to look like the ones in USA?? News Flash!!!....They all don't. |
When people celebrate your death......*Complete the statement* |
