Politics › Re: What Is Going On With The Lagos Light Rail Project by ba7man(m): 7:18am On Jun 10, 2013
Its still on course. Last time i passed The National Theatre area the elevated rail platform was about to cross the swamp towards the elevated highway that leads to Eko bridge. You can't work at the same rate through a swamp as you would on solid ground.

That engine bay is too dirty for a car just in from Europe + If it was recently registerd, it would have the new number plate, not the old one.....Smells like a scam.

Even the time they both ran shows they were fooling around. You can't win a medal(1st, 2nd, 3rd) with those times in a serious track meet.

barcanista: i'm sure election isn't won and lost on nl. Test of popularity is done through opinion poll. being a grassroot person, i can tell you that on the street of Lagos, PDP/KORO's popularity is on the rise.
Trust me.....you're one of the very few people on NL and in reality that think he's on a rise.
Politics › Re: Is KORO The Real Messiah For Lagos State?? by ba7man(m): 1:23pm On Jun 07, 2013
Not a lot of people are feeling Koro"s buzz...I mean no one's exactly excited to generate a topic on him.....except maybe the @OP......"Saviour"??.....no.

I'm tired of these old politicians and their re-cycled ar5es anyway....Buhari is not an exception.
Politics › Re: Mixed Reactions On Enugu's Kia Police Cars by ba7man(m): 9:13pm On Jun 06, 2013
These cars aren't flashy, they're amongst the cheapest brand new cars you can buy. It might polish up the image of the police but if they could wreck Hilux trucks and Prado SUVs the way they did, I wonder what they'll do to these.
Don't you just marvelled how anti progress some people can be? Who in his right thinking mind will consider voting Alao Akala, the supreme leader of NURTW touts? Like I said earlier, I did a wonderful job by talking to people when I was there and the outcome was wholesome and total rejection of PDP.
Their definition of grassroot Politics is handing out freebies to the lower class. "Feed a man for a day and you satisfy his hunger for a day, teach him to feed himself and you feed him for life". Education and enlightenment is the way out not Amala. They insult the people of Oyo by thinking "Amala and Gbegiri" politics is the best way to win their hearts.
Politics › Re: Oyo-2015: Ladoja And Akala Teamed-Up To Takeover by ba7man(m): 8:37am On Jun 06, 2013
I'm in shock that they're people that would still consider voting Akala's Candidate. The motivation has got to be political affilliation, not progress.
Politics › Re: Oyo-2015: Ladoja And Akala Teamed-Up To Takeover by ba7man(m): 8:19am On Jun 06, 2013
Akala's bleaching cream supply must be running low....He wants to replenish it. Had to team up with Ladoja to ensure it....

You again?? Dump that guy's sorry ar5e. How can you sponsor him, help him get a visa to bring his girl to the UK.....He needs you to get a stay or Citizenship b4 dumping you. Don't be his doormat. Look into his eyes and see the lying ba5tard in it. The baby is to tie you down emotionally till he completes his number on you. Its not too late to bail out.
Federal Govt should toll all their roads in the SW. Since tolling is accepted in lAGOS, Ikorodu, 3rd Mainland and Apapa and Mile 2 Rds should be tolled. Subsidies in the form oil should also be removed and all existing federal schools should be self autonomous in fund generations via a new fee arrangement
The FG that hasn't thought of fixing those roads for decades. If they expand the roads to 10 lanes, put streetlightings and emergency services along its stretch and its adequately maintained, if they now toll it, Lagosians will gladly pay. Lagos state is already expanding and upgrading Ikorodu road for the FG and it won't be tolled b'cos its located in the middle-class/low-class areas. We Lagosians pay for progress we see not hear about. The day those Mega projects stop uncompleted and the rate of Tolling and Taxation remains the same.....I'll definitely be one of those that will protest.
Politics › Re: Akpabio To Commission 30 New Projects, Flag Off Others by ba7man(m): 6:08am On Jun 06, 2013
@Eko ileee. Abeg, free this thread. The people are happy with what Akpabio is doing. Even if he chops the State's money, he has visible evidence of how he's spending it. Its not the best approach to Governance but its a far cry from what we had before when nothing was done. At least, we started having Governors competing against themselves now. Things can only get better. The road to full accountability in Governance is a long one but the journey has started already.
Politics › Re: North Disagrees With Ban On Boko-haram, Ansaru by ba7man(m): 5:54am On Jun 06, 2013
After the death of thousands of their own people, they still actually kick against banning these terror Organizations?? They must have really been expecting an amnesty deal in which they would all end up Billionaires.....Which concludes that they either know the perpetrator very well or they are.
Politics › Re: Akpabio To Commission 30 New Projects, Flag Off Others by ba7man(m): 2:15pm On Jun 05, 2013
Afam4eva: You're very right. While i commend Akpabio for the infrastructure that he has put together, he has to build more human infrastructure by empowering the people of Akwa Ibom state. There has to be a balance between the people and the infrastructure but in this case it seems the infrastructure far outweighs the human resources. But Akpabio remains the best governor in NIgeria.
Man, I can already picture idustries and industrial estates against the green scenery being serviced by those roads. Akwa-Ibom has a lot of potential.

Politics › Re: Akpabio To Commission 30 New Projects, Flag Off Others by ba7man(m): 7:45am On Jun 05, 2013
Those roads make me feel like driving fast on them!!! There are more people walking on those roads than cars though. Akpabio has to think deeper and further than roads now.....at least he has the funds....Skill acquisition centers, attraction of industries and Education will be a welcome addition. The environment is inviting enough.

So, good morning to you. With that said, I do need to sleep. Goood night, now. Chow chow. Kissie kissie. Huggie huggie? grin
Those multiple posts are still excessive and borders on obsession.
Politics › Re: South Africans Chase Nigerians Out Of Their Homes by ba7man(m): 4:11am On Jun 05, 2013
I dislike it when i hear certain Nigerians making statements like...."We dominate blah, blah" or "We own this percentage of that city"....You can say it within Nigeria without getting smacked but you take that kind of attitude outside and you end up giving people like @BCraig the opportunity to talk trash in return. At the same time @BCraig. I just woke up and found out you stayed up late to do all that posting when everyone else was sleeping. That's bordering on an Obsession.
Politics › Re: South Africans Chase Nigerians Out Of Their Homes by ba7man(m): 6:43pm On Jun 04, 2013
I'm a Nigerian but i really think a lot of Nigerians need to clean up their act not only S.A but in a lot of Countries around the world. No one can suddenly wake up and start hating on you......When everyone's saying the same thing about you, its time to check yourself.

mandarin: All these talks of Lagos not been a Yoruba on this forum should not be an issue though i wont like to take any side but let's be objective. The Colonial and Federal office was built on Lagos Island and so developed through collective resources like other cities across Nigeria e.g. Porthacourt,Kaduna, Kano, Minna(may be the East has not enjoyed same benefits)Its worth of note that the industrial Lagos around the mainland was built by the Awolowo regime(you can trace the history) alongside the Oluyole industrial estate in Ibadan. These areas generate the largest chunk of taxes aside the seaports in Lagos. Besides, the Lekki corridor today is a brain child of Lagos state government.
Lagos state is the commercial capital of Nigeria just as New York and London and anyone around the world is free to invest, live and enjoy life to the fullest while just like all over the world original land owners are known and acknowledged.Lagos State originally belong to various Yoruba groups as Ijebu, Egba,Awori,Ilaje,Egun etc and its not important if anyone accept it or not and that necessitated for Abuja's creation om land ownership issue
Pls educate them.....Your input is a breath of fresh air.

Won't you be called a fool when you give money to some1 to buy you are TV and at the end the person requires you to pay b4 getting assess to watch it
I pity the Future of the Now.....#brainwashed n spoonfed generation
The only thing worse than being a foool is not realizing it. You have no idea how advanced civillizations function.....you belong in the past. You're the one that needs to be pitied....look at the silly comparism he just gave....and he feels he's intelligent....Go and acquire knowledge.

dgreat001: They are all lazy, incompetent and disabled so I see them waiting for another 30 years...... Bambiala people..

lmoa..

Eko ile and Ba7man plz listen.....you both are talking like illiterate, I aint saying the concept is not laudable, ppl will sure comply with the payment....BUT, why do we pay TAX, its our own quota to make governance more productive
So the government shd also fulfil their own quota by getting us FREE infrastructure like good roads, water etc

Am sure you aint a tax payer, that's why you reason like that...Please never allow any govt to fool YOU
Its funny b'cos in my own opinion, you're the one that's reasoning like one. B'cos you don't pay your tax doesn't mean others don't. It can be annoying at-times but in the end, i'm seeing results around me. It's sure better than when i wasn't paying tax and everywhere was in shambles.
