Find out has said it all. U can get 5-10k miles camry that will still be almost new. I will take the 2011 camry if it s XLE. |
Truly i have seen a number of honda, Golf and Benz with tie rods pulled off. It must have given signs. A good driver should know if the tie rods, upper arm or ball joint even wheel bearing are bad. they are supposed to be replaced as soon as u notice unusual sound while driving. Negligence on our part causes the tyres to give way, sure the owner must be aware of unpleasant noise or sound before. |
Auto generally are more expensive to mantain than manual in all vehicles. I also heard Auto Tranny in VW Golf dont last. I used the manual for 6 years without issue. |
Baby boy is faster and more responsive than camry. Baby boy has no problems with the shocks and suspension like camry Fuel consumption is almost the same. Buy baby boy and keep N120k for imminent gear box problem. buy BB and sell back at 500k begging people to buy. |
@ stolen stone, the 2012 is the thing, it is beautiful from the outside. Previous models are dry, with complete plastic interior. I got an Accord 08 for an uncle with16k miles it drives like new at half the price of new with similar features.(pls i am not a dealer here) Like i said it depends on what features u want and ur budget. e.g Automatic. Power windows and mirrors. Air bags. alloy.ABS. EBD. Traction control. cost of spare parts. etc |
After working for people for 10 years i resigned last january to learn tailoring. I have passion for fashion expecially sewing. I ve started making dresses for my self and my friends. I bought an industrial sewing machine @ 50k which i use @ home. It s not easy being married with 2 kids but it is a risk worth taking. Clothing is essential. U can start with little cash. u can spare 3 hours daily as an apprentice, in 6 months time u wont b thesame, if u have passion 4 it. |

Thanks bro, I did not want to mention warranty because they are not honored by our dealers. I worked in a car company for 4 years selling new cars. The 3 years or 100K Km warranty we tell u only covers your transmission and engine which rarely go bad within the validity period of ur warranty. Most promos services have hidden clauses. Get the Accent if it has what u want in a car and prepare to pay for maintenance. Ask for warranty scope at Stallon, get full details let them sign it. |
I have not driven the new Accent but the look is elegant and cool. The corolla is solid and balance. Your budget will play a role here. New car is good but dipreciates in value faster than Toks when u are reselling. If u are selling a new car after 2 years u are losing up to 50% of the cost. If their prices are the same with similar features buy the Accent and enjoy your life in a tear rubber car, it is more dignifying. |
you can trace where your fluid is leaking by youself. Start tracing from the pump through the hose and pipe all the way to the rack and finally to both tie rods, this will give you an idea of what you need to change. Check ur gear mountain, it is most likely bad there by resulting in vib. at R gear. Good luck |
I owned a camry 99 v6 sold here march this year. I used to spend N4,600 on fuel weekly 320km. I got a 2001 I4 on which i spend N3900 weekly same distance. Then i bought a 97 civic on which i spend N 3,100 weekly. Guess what the civic has become my daily driver. |
@ poster, YEs it consumes more fuel than the I4. If you think fuel is not a big deal to u, you may go for it. Mind you the major thing u consider before buying a car as an average Nigerian is fuel consumption. Goopd luck. |
How are you sure the new ATF will be better than the one that came with the car. You hardly get original ATF in Niger. It is good to change according to ur car manual. You have to consider your routes to work 30 minutes moving 2hours static and your engine is running and stuff like that. |
The stress of making her outlet look good and security arrangement for the visiting president might have contributed to her sudden...... Imagin your governor is coming to eat in your Buka when there are other Bukas around, you fill overwhelmed and honoured not to think of Obama. My thinking. |
Two posters said apart from TOPPING THE RADIATOR COOLANT and serivce. Rad Coolant is not supposed to be topped if your car cooling system is working fine. Do other Exterra owners have thesame experience. No offense pls, the last time i added coolant to a car was 5 years ago. |
mine is Golf 2. used for 6 years and stll good. I sold it the exact amount i bought it. (1986 SYNCRO) I miss the car. It was a 4 wheel drive, 75 litre tank. My full tank took me to Akure back to Abuja without refuelling, 840km |
Good job. Pls what ATF fluid is suitable for 97 Honda Civic |
This is 94 Camry I think. The milage is suspicous. the interior looks clean, if the engine is good and you have a good reason to buy a v6 go for it. If your movement is mostly within the city u will spend a lot of money fuellling. The parts are very cheap. Since he s ur friend u should know if the car is problematic. |
sometime it may be scarce then you start seeing fake. Neo Medro is not as active as it used to be since they stopped importing it. I statted using it in 1998 very effective then. Any spot or bunps would dissapear in two days. I adice you look for another acne cream if it is scarce. |
There is no difference. It means they are used in Nigeria. |
People who use these cars in Nigeria dont ask these questions. Fuel consumption? engine or gear box prices? I was at Coscharis Abuja sometime when Andy Uba was given N3m bill to fix his Range. He was not changing his engine nor gear box. Both of them are heavy cars for loaded people. The parts are not cheap at all. I think 09 FX Gear will be close to a million. |
I am surprised some people support this contept of traffic rules. Airport road has always been blocked whenever those mad people are moving, nobody compalins but when lunatics drive against the traffic in the rain because of fear of Boko it is insanity. Accidents in such situation may cost more lives than than one big Boko stike. During Yardua regime roads were not blocked for more than 10 mins. U are driving within 400m to his convoy. No recklessness No intimidation. Jobless man, follow mumu |

You dont have to go for a manual because ur honda tranny is fried up. You should expect it. Accord 98 to i think 05 have history of gear box problems. You can try toyota or any honda out of that year bracket. It s not fun driving manual in Niger. |
They are entirely different sir, from engine to gear box. shock. radiator etc.
In fact, i dont know what they have in common. Perhaps fuel pump 2003 is CVT technology (continous variable timing) while 01 is EFI. just talk to some users. |
what type of scanner will discover leakage from hose or radiator blockage. This sounds like water leaking from somewhere. Check your engine oil hope it does not contain water. Our collective exeperience and suggestions here have solved a lot of problems. Try out some simple suggestions offered here before you think of any scan. Good luck |
well maintained |
I am sorry i dont know what confuses u. What are u looking for in a car? Size, low fuel consumption, spare parts availability and affordability. They are 2 different cars one preceding the other. different engine types and sizes and diff technologies. Why not google the two cars and get more info or get close to users and ask them questions. |
sorry i meant golf 2 or 3. if u are offered a camry 2000 and above or golf 4 for 400k even registered it may be a lemon or stolen. If truly u are a low income earner, buy a car u can maintain, low fuel consumption, chaep spare parts. etc. u dont have to impress any body u need a rest of mind why u enjoy your car. |
your budget is too low for toks of the listed cars, may be civic '82! I dont know the camry u have in mind early 90s? yes. Why not look inward and get a used and well meintained car like Golf or Nissan Sunny or civic. Dont forget that u will still spend close to 100k on tokunbo: Registration 45-50k Tyres 40k Battery (most likely) 10k Others: Mats, Fire extinguisher, jack, Spare tyr(some cases) Shocks or shaft or other inherent problems. Your budget is good enough to get u a decent registered car. |
Camry and Solara have the same engine .gear box. shoks etc. Solara is just a coupe version of camry mostly with more features. In terms of mentainance, camry will be cheaper cos they are many on the road, bodyparts will be more available. Resale value will be higher in camry as more people will prefer saloon to coupe. Fuel consumption is thesame so also other things apart from the shell. good luck. |
