Foreign AffairsRe: Xenophobic Attacks: Enough Is Enough - President Ramaphosa Of South Africa by Babacele: 10:06pm On Sep 05, 2019
SENT AS RECEIVED.
Madam Zara, My sister, I know you think differently and you love truth, so please let me share a perspective with you.

I know the SA thing is paining you as you say, also me too. But please hear my perspective:

I have lived in SA for almost 20 years.

What you see as pure xenophobia is actually community Vigilantism gone wrong or hijacked by criminals.

Some of the shops looted and destroyed are actually covers for a serious crime.

Some of our brothers take over entire areas and turn them into drug markets. But because the law in SA does not allow police to arrest criminals unless with evidence or unless shot at, so what happens is the drug guys hide these drugs in shops, restaurants etc and use as a face.
There are up to 30 public "drug" markets in Joburg alone. These are areas where 50 to 200 Nigerians converge on street corners to sell drugs. That's just in Johannesburg, and excludes other places.
The community knows and they try to inform the police. Sometimes these guys get arrested and bribe their way out when it fails the community takes laws into their hands.

Nigerians are not being targetted per se. The target is street drug dealers and yahoo boys who are mostly Nigerian.

Personally, in an area of Johannesburg, some years ago, drug dealers almost took over my property. We bought it and in the process of renovation, they invaded it and turned it into a drug hotel. It took God to evict them without being killed. It was led by Nigerians. In that property, there were families with women and children.

One strategy of selling drugs is to befriend young secondary school.Girls and introduce them. They get hooked and they start stealing and prostitution to feed the habit. Soon the entire area deteriorates.
Now, why I am sharing this with you is that the drug dealers are distracting attention. They are trying to make the Nigerian Government arise in anger and defend "Nigerians" ie defend drug dealers. if they succeed, they'd have staged a powerful coup. They'd have entered an official mafioso level, protected by Government.

Please see the article below: The Nigeria ambassador to SA said the majority of killings are perpetrated by fellow Nigerians. It's a drug turf war. he is right. I know some who've been killed.

So how can we accuse others of killing us when we are perpetrating it?

Those videos and pictures circulating of Nigerians in SA- how is it that we are shown only in the light of guys on the street? I know top Robotics engineers in SA, I know people in Top IT firms, developers, in Amazon, Google etc, I know top bankers, property company owners, many doctors, Superintendent of hospitals, professors, Pastors, etc.

So in summary here are my thoughts

- A vast majority of upright Nigerians in SA are very comfortable. They are doctors, teachers, business owners, etc. If we don't get the right story, we can set off a diplomatic war, everything collapses and these guys become targets. Currently, they are not being targetted by anyone. many are married to South Africans. Some head Government agencies and private companies.

- Yes, there are some xenophobic South Africans, but just like we fought against stigmatizing Fulani, we must also fight against stigmatizing South Africans. There are VERY many good South Africans, who don't buy into any form of oppression. Let us encourage our government to join with the South African Government and carry out a security raid on drug dealers.

If the Government announces this, you will see they will flee because they'll know the cover is blown! xenophobic attacks will reduce 95%.

The biggest donation event in the history of SA was in 2007 when people gave to victims of xenophobic attacks. The amount given was a record. It shows that the nation is not buying into that mindset.

- Please use your powerful platform to create a voice for good Nigerians in SA. You will be surprised. Many are afraid to talk because even Nigerian organizations in SA are infiltrated and even controlled by drug dealers and kingpins. No one wants to be killed. These guys are very powerful.

- These same guys being paraded as Nigerians under attack are the same guys who HATE everything PMB stands for. If you visit their hag outs (we sometimes buy food there) and talk about Buhari, they can kill you, literarily. Why? because they hate what he stands for and they hate that he is saying we should become good citizens.

- Communities fighting to save themselves should not.be hushed but.helped to do it in a better way. Not jungle justice.
- Yes the SA Government must not also be left without responsibility in the matter, they should be tasked to step up their game too. While Nigeria targets drug dealers and yahoo buys, South Africa should target miscreants and criminals in a joint operation. SA Government also needs to purge bad eggs in its police force who are compromised. It Also needs to take its own share of blame for unemployment, poverty and economic challenges and social issues that allow drugs to be demanded.

I close with a prophecy by Pa Elton

"Africa is like a gun, Nigeria is like a trigger, South Africa is like a barrel

South Africa will be free. It will partner with Nigeria.

When that happens, Africa will arise and lead the world in many ways."

This prophecy was given in the hight of apartheid when it seemed impossible. Today it is half done South Africa has more bilateral agreements with Nigeria than any other nation on earth. We MUST NOT allow miscreants and criminals on both sides to hinder it, because if our national relationship fails, Africa will fail.

This is Buhari's "Mandela" moment. Will he rise up and shake off the pain and anger and mobilize Africa to unify or will he take a position that reverses the building of unity? I think he will do the right thing by God's grace, but I also believe publicizing the truth will help him and citizens.

I am open to discuss with you further on this matter, and if you feel the need to publish the above anonymously, please feel free. And if you want to do a tour to SA, I'll host you and we can go out and do a strategic mapping. I'll show you things that will make you see another perspective.

Kindly note the following

1. No argument in the group, only evidence to claim is allowed
2. The pieces of evidence are to substantiate the following claims
a) chargeback on sirevee
b) the complaint of the client about the job submitted by Babacele
the job was done by amikedi so the evidence should be chargeback on Sirevee caused by the supposed bad job done by amikedi ,anything short of that is bulls..it.

On second thought, I do not think I need to write anything for anybody to see on the group chat. Anybody that has a case with me can always chat me up.

You can beat around the bush for all i care but i am not paying a dime to you until PayPal releases my funds.
in one breath it is PayPal bot which clears in 3-5days and in the same breath her bad job which evidence is so difficult to display here while you can type epistles is the cause of a supposed chargeback that would last 70 days!

there has been scam from the beginning of man's socialization and in Nigeria since, no doubt, but was so negligible that it wasn't even known unlike the embarrassment we started getting when thieves in shagari's government held sway,or when a d baron became our state of head- ask Dele Giwa .

My dear. Some writers are kinda not worthy to called writers and really should not be paid. I once had a writer that complained that he needed to paid because he put in a lot of efforts to the job I gave him. I had to pay him simply because I felt pity for him, not because he did the job well but because I knew I started just like him. I can mention some of the big names here on nairaland that I have once worked with. Some of them didn't get to pay me, some did while some gave me tips on how to become a better writer. Without doubt, errors are bound to happen while writing as there is no perfect writer but then, if you are going to be successful in the freelance writing world, errors should be minimized to the barest. I won't deny that I have had some faults too, but, I have learnt from them. There are different types of clients and as such, you can't expect that what Client A looks away from will be ignored by Client B. I am not really ready to prove a lie or whatever because of anybody. The op wouldn't be chatting me on WhatsApp if I actually wanted to swindle her. I am only refusing to respond to her because of her abusive nature( no regrets).

I have a WhatsApp group for writers which she is part of. You can ask her to make enquiries and see if there is anyone of them I am issues with. I am beginning to lose interest in writing long epistles on Nairaland.

She said something about not having problems with my PayPal account.. I'll like to correct her by letting her know that it doesn't cost a dime to create even a thousand PayPal account if I want to. It's my account and I don't think I owe an explanation to anyone.
just show us evidence that the buyer under paid ,delayed paying or hasn't paid for the job she did for you due to her poor handling. Why is that difficult for you?

I like how the internet never forgets, I just saw a post on the scam section where a scammer returned 50k he scammed a seller of far back 2013. What happened??Hiis fiancee stumbled on the scam list here, lo and behold! her yet-to be husband's name is on the scammer's list.

She had to forced him to pay back and he has done that though but he wants his name off the list. I just hope he will not be granted such and probably the lady dumps him too. At least let mother karma finish her work with him

People will wake up each day and only think of scamming the next person . Maybe I will post the link here.
babe you evidences are dope and all the long stories he has been typing rather than posting his evidences are obviously exposing a lot...
babe I can bet you that if you search the title of the job on the writing platform, a lot would come out that would shock you.

She is just a nice girl. A scammer since 2013 may still be a scammer now....I'm messing one up presently ,and I don't bit an eyelid when doing so. Just arrange your evidences for this is obvious.

Lol. Who is compensating who? That'll be for someone who has scammed the the victim. I think she said I was
owing her since two months now. How come she's not dating as far as June but July?

Even if I have the bucks in influx at the moment, I am not lifting a penny to pay her a till the completion of the dispute and the finds payment are cleared. I have other writers here on Nl that we work together. So far, they do quite a good job and as such needs to paid when due. Besides, I never for once said I wasn't going to pay her.
She came here to rant about me complaining of having a limitation in my PayPal. I think I specifically told her it was because of the influx and a hold was placed on funds. The account was never limited. I only used an apostrophe of "limitation/hold" to denote a point so she could understand. Then, I didn't notice that the client had raised a dispute sef.

This lady here is complaining that I made exchanges on Nl which I am not denying. But then, she wasn't due then. I practically remember telling her she wasn't due for payments but for the first last 4k words which I didn't pay for the first time cause they had errors that I asked her to fix but she didn't get to do that immediately. I sent her the payments of the first one with the exception of the 4k words that were error- filled, and then she did another 3k words.

I am more willing to go into details to this to further prove my innocence if the need be; outside nairaland though. It could either be a dispute group or whatever you can think of.

Thanks
all these na story if you can't show evidence of you warning her then . I think it is simple ,easier and time saving to show chats, SMS etc to shut her up rather than all these long stories...prove to us that you have not collected money for the job she did for you. Why complicate issues if everything you have said is true?

You can ask her if I did complain to her. She can't deny it.
which is easier: typing long essays or bringing the evidence here to shut her up? It is very simple to show that you warned her then about the client's displeasure by showing the evidence as amikedi has been displaying.

From experience, long epistles are usually employed by questionable characters to cover up something.

Very embarrassing story. If these ones were here to give out jobs, they will never pay and they are the type that will tell you, you didn't write well blabla and argue blindly even when the truth is glaring in a bid not to pay.

Someone will get a job and outsource for a token, then decides to pocket his and the token for the writer. Getting visa now will be serious hassle. God please help Nigerians move from defrauding one another
they are wicked folks ,and won't think twice paying them with a bigger coin
. Imagine if they were the owner of Upwork, iwrite ,fiver etc these wicked guys would never pay beyond peanuts.... please keep all records of your dealings with them for a day like this.

Well, it is as simple as this. This lady contacted me that she was interested in my job posting, I told the terms and conditions of the job which she trusted me not to play games with her. After completing the first batch of jobs, I told her the client had complaints about the job having some errors which weren't supposed to be. She claimed she wasn't a native writer and couldn't be perfect. I corrected her jokingly that she wasn't supposed to say that as a professional and that if such things happened, it could lead to losing clients. She agreed to fix the job, which she did and considering that I was stuck in-between tons of projects and tasks, I submitted the job directly to the client without reading through thoroughly. (During this time, I had a paid her for the first batch of jobs she did). The client once again claimed that the errors were still pending and he was becoming more impatient.

Actually, I was recommended to this client by an age-long independent client from Skype that I was working for initially and the client happens to pay me via Pay Pal. To prove that he wanted me to trust him, the client paid upfront for the jobs but made me promise not to deliver half-baked jobs, stating that he needed me to continue the same streak I had with his friend. I assured him that and he was evidently pleased with the first contents that I delivered ( it was actually done by I and some other trusted writers). However, considering that the job rate was becoming massive, I had to seek help from outsourcing the jobs to other writers from nairaland. Initially, this lady started out well, and I commended her for it ( she posted screenshots of the commendations with her other handle; Blazing123). For that reason, I resonated to not thoroughly reading her jobs and delivered to the client with probably some fixes from me and everything was going on well, but later on, she started dwindling in the quality of jobs delivered. I complained to her ( as aforementioned) but there were seemingly no improvements ( as explained by the client) and to make matters worst, the client requested for a chargeback( Paypal holdings) on Paypal and thus, I couldn't do anything with the account until the dispute was resolved. I had to take it upon myself to fix those jobs and resend back to the client. If you are familiar with pay pal, you'll know it takes weeks, and at most 70 days + for a charge back to be completed before you can continue transaction. These were some of the explanations I gave to this lady but she refused to understand that. Worst still, she started placing curses on herself(not me) and then I told specifically that I wouldn't reply her messages again until I fixed the issues on ground.
please did you inform her about your clients complaints concerning the said job as soon as you were aware? Where is the evidence please? Thanks.
