I used to enjoy comments on NL. But of late, the comment section has been a battle between Tinubu's supporters and Obi's supporters. How people bring in tribal and religious sentiments to every news on NL is just baffling.
Someone is already saying he can't wait to vote Tinubu for president in 2027 when so far, the outcome of his vote in 2023 has not been favourable yet. What else would make him have this assertions if not political, tribal or religious affiliations?

We are all in Nigeria. We have all seen how politicians use our common wealth recklessly. I live in Edo state. I tracked my registered parcel today with Speedaf to see it has been scanned for delivery and issued to a delivery guy, i called the number throughout but it was switched off, i even visited the Speedaf office myself and i was told the guy has gone out with the parcel and i should keep trying to reach him, i tried and tried to no avail, the number was still switched off as at 7pm this evening, only for AliExpress and Speedaf to notify me this evening that "Delivery was unsuccessful and the attempt was made but i was unreachable"...like wtf? The economic predicament the country face dictates that subsidy is removed fast, that was why Buhari was anxious to remove it before leaving office. Tinubus quick action proves that he is mentality competent and willing to work. No shortcut to success and gains comes with pain and labour.

I've not been a supporter of fuel subsidy for years because I realized that corrupt Nigerians were using it to amass wealth and the poor mugged masses were hailing them. It was unworkable because Nigerians have propensity and natural affinity for thievery.Anyway beginnings are always rough and I would judge Tinubus performance in about two years time.

You should always avoid FedEx, UPS and DHL because they always snitch on you and collect money for the government. They do this in every country they operate in. I remember losing a weeks wage to her majesty but in Nigeria you also face extortion as Nigerian officialdom is really corrupt and bad so once they report your package you end up getting milked.

When does buying dollar with naira amount to an offense? I don't know what you meant by dealing in crypto, but am using the word here as a generic term for currencies that can be purchased with naira on Binance . If the CBN considers buying dollar, for instance, at black market to facilitate foreign transactions illegal, then I expect it to have closed down BDS operations.

I believe Binance is not a traditional finance company or mainstream bank but rather a company setup to facilitate crypto currency trading.
To buy the crypto currencies you do need to change your local money to the us dollar and they provide the mechanism for that. The problem is that CBN does not like crypto and being Nigerian they could unilaterally declare you guilty by association and freeze the bank account which will not be funny if it is your main bank account.
To me this is like one of those people who build expensive houses on land not approved by the government.
