OAM4J: I did not hide any post on such argument you are claiming, that will not be an off topic. Posts arguing that the brewery is unnecessary are still visible. I only hid arguments about rice productions in SE and SW and tribal insults. the hidden posts are still visible to Seun and other moderators, any of them can confirm what am saying to you.You are yet to tell me what the picture is doing in the thread regardless of what you termed sarcasm? Is Oga Fash is black about Rice too? Of what use are hidden posts to me and non mods? Do you hid them for your own personal consumption? Don't you have to do wrong before apologizing for any wrong doing? Why apologize for other people's skewed perceptions. I have to agree with and support everything on NL to escape your ban? Sorry, I'm not a coward and I don't role like that, I meant and stand by my comments and I'm not apologizing. Like I said, keep the ban forever if you like and if it makes you chew gum faster, it's your choice. This is really pointless, I'm done. |
OAM4J: If you are referring to this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/939179/lagos-unveils-mega-rice-processing then u will need to show me the 'trash, dirty & ugly pictures on it including the off topics posts similar to the ones on this thread. You can start with the picture on this page and the comment because has nothing to do with rice. Most of the stuff you hid were valid points especially the fact that it's a valid opinion that we don't need more breweries in Nigeria because there is enough to get us all drunk 24/7 as I stated. Why was that hidden? Whay was so bad and terrible about that? Why is this a message board where people swap views if the same views are subject to your own suggestive lens and trashing? All that you can not be in every thread excuse sounds ridiculous because you've been inside that and other threads on NL today. Agreed many people especially the culprits bug you when their little feelings gets hurt to intervene and you sometimes don't show prudence with your reaction. What exactly do you need apology for? To beg you? Why? Will this prevent you from seeing people's future posts with the same distorted lens you often use or prevent any knee jack reaction on your part? You formulate your own opinion about what what people say and you ban them according to that opinion inside your own head so apologizing is pointless. You can let the ban stay as pong as you want. It's your choice. One man's good post or neutral post is another man's bad post so you can not keep going around banning people over everything posted on NL. My views might sound somehow to you, but it's still a legitimate view based on what's going on inside the thread. Yes, some kind of moderation is needed here and there, but it's useless when they focus too much on silly banters or when they are misapplied based on on man's opinion. |
Lagos begins development of agro-industrial parks As part of efforts to further strengthen its industrial base and create thousands of jobs for Nigerians, Lagos State government is embarking on the development of two new Agro- Industrial Parks.http://www.businessdayonline.com/NG/index.php/markets/investor/37725-lagos-begins-development-of-agro-industrial-parks |
OAM4J: What are you banning people for? What I posted was an indirect view of your one track mind response to everything. You camped inside this thread hiding posts all over the place and banning people, but the same people you are protecting here are in other threads doing the exact thing you are banning people for here. The Lagos rice mill thread is still there with trash and dirty and ugly pictures that you obviously ignored simply because we don't yell and cry like some people. Have you cleaned anything out in that thread? No of course. Even lifting the ban on the folks you banned is partial and inconsistent. Be honest and consistent with yourself. |
Acting Director, Lagos State Fire Service, Razak Fadipe, says the service has acquired 30 new fire-fighting vehicles to effectively combat fire outbreaks in the state. Fadipe said this in Lagos on Friday while speaking with newsmen on the 2012 International Fire-Fighting Day Anniversary. He expressed the resolve of the service to better its operations, commending the state governor, Babatunde Fashola, for revamping the establishment. ``Gov. Fashola has been very supportive of the Fire Service since he assumed office. As we speak, 30 new fire-fighting vehicles have been purchased to boost our operations. ``The vehicles are still in the U.S, but we are going to take delivery of the first batch before the end of the year. ``They are modern fire-fighting vehicles containing foam, air and water, which would better our rescue operations,’’ Fadipe said. He said that two additional aerial ladders to combat fire outbreaks in high-rise buildings would accompany the vehicles to Nigeria. ``These aerial ladders are very important in a mega-city like Lagos, where we have many high-rise buildings``, the Fire Service chief said. The Acting Director said the service had introduced two ``three-digit toll-free emergency numbers’’ for members of the public in case of fire outbreaks. ``A resident can just dial 767 or 112 from his or her phone, even without airtime, and his or her message will get to the Command Centre for prompt attention,’’ he said. Fadipe noted also that the relationship between the service and members of the public had improved due to the present state of affairs in the service. He then urged for the sustenance of such a relationship. hercules07:I think the poster crated a silly and non issue argument just to criticize, |
igbo boy:You shouldn't be recommending your gayish values and favorite pastime to other people and there is no need to broadcast to the world your sexuality, keep that sh.it to yourself you nasty butt pirate. |
jmaine:Look at this dumb i.diot calling fugitive and convicts peddling posts contrary views. Like I said, your value system sucks. lol @ me playing victim to this criminal worshiping scum bag, lmao. Anyways, from now on, you exist only on my ignore list. There's just no point conversing with a low life clown like you, |
J12:Do you honestly think the authorities can not make the distinction or use discretion? Your example souds a little bogus. |
pro01:Sounds like you got issues, |
asorocker:Do you really think we care? lmao. You people just don't get it. Didn't we just got rid of everything Abuja related? All politics is local my friend, we got our region back and we have our local leaders to represent and look out for us. Basically, our government is out west, not in Abuja. |
Obiagu1:Where are you decamping to and who is going to lead the decamping? The powerless noisemakers aka socio cultural groups or your conniving incompetent leaders in Abuja? You people just don't get it. Everything the PDP did regarding your region was done with your leaders present and sitting at the table, they are all part of the process. You're sitting here crying over nothing while your leaders in Abuja are doing something way way different. It beats me why you people point fingers at other people but never at the people you appoint and elect to look out for you, it's like you people have no sense of accountability. Basically, your leaders agreed to everything your region is getting from the PDP. Btw, you don't have to sell yourself or wag your tail like a dog at your mastar to get what you want, you are a conquered region so there is no need to cater to you or pacify you, but the SW is is not, the SW showed disaffection and highlighted PDP's failure and shortcomings in the SW so they have to cater to the SW, make amends and do what ever it takes to keep the SW, simple. |
pro01:You spew insults post after post and you are sitting here crying about some percieved insults? Your posts is full of mindless irrelevancies and silly hyperboles that's got nothing to do with the topic. Calling peole ignorant buffoons doesn't sound like insult you? Sounds like you enjoying hearing yourself talk and if that's the case, go lock yourself up in a room and go at it, but please stop derailing the topic with your mindless and aimless rubbish. What's Rosa Parks and MLK got to do with beggars and public safety in Lagos Nigeria? Are you mad? Abeg hold your self. You really are a waste of time. |
pro01:You are not above the law and the beggars are not above the law, your constitutional rights is not absolute. Just like the state can tell you where to park or not to park your car or where to buold or not build your house. We have laws to protect us and keep us safe and if you giving money to beggars is messing with public safety, you are a violator and should be penalized. Your constitutional rights doesn't allow you to xpress yourself by throwing trash out in the street, it doesn't allow you to steal, rape or promote general disorderliness. States are empowered by law and can generate laws to ptotect the general public. Once again, you are not above the law and the beggars are equally not. Like I said before, you are part of the problem, not the solution. The only reason we have beggars out on our streets is because people like you are making it easy for them, you are basically putting out signs saying hey, come to Lagos, Lagos is open for begging. If you want begging to stop, stop encouraging and enabling beggars, if you want it to continue, keep giving. Take a stand and quit running your mouth about some ridiculous constitutional nonsense, it's clear cut. |
These clowns are overplaying their hands, GEJ need to call his criminal terrorists to order. |
I'll repost the pictures. |
ekt_bear:lmao. Dude is really clueless. lmao. |
ZnO:Ibo people and their backward thinking sha. How do equate a training institute staffed with local and international exparts with granny farming? Do you send your farmers inside bush with shovels without any education in modern farming, skills and technics? lol @ dude pulling up some incompetent and obsolete fed nonsense and trying to compare it with real functioning and credible institute that's training and graduating real students. How pathetic? The man is viable, What is viable? Isn't viable about real activities with real people training and results in terms of graduates and visible improvement in farming and products? IITA in Ibadan remains one of the leading agric research and training institutes in Africa. This man is displaying a lot of ignorance. |
Fashola approves N500M loans for Agric-Yes graduates On January 26, 2011 · · In News Tweet By Olasunkanmi Akoni Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State has approved the release of about N500 million loan facility for 100 youths who participated in the Agricultural Youth Empowerment Scheme (Agric-YES) aimed at boosting food production in the state. Meanwhile, the state government has expressed concerns about the impact of climate change on crop and animal production in the state, saying global warning had negatively affected rice production by 40 percent between 2009 and 2010. Permanent Secretary of the state Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Yakub Basorun revealed this at a forum with Newsmen at the state secretariat, a situation he said “has been a source of concerns”. According to Basorun, the administration of Governor Fashola (SAN) had empowered 100 youths who participated in the Agric-YES, saying about N500 million loan facility would soon be granted to the beneficiaries to boost food production in the state. He said N500 million credit facility for the last batch of participants in the programme “was ready. We will ensure that people will not go to the farm and later run away. This scheme is aimed bringing the interest of youths in agriculture. Every six months, we intend to graduate 100 youths who will be empowered to practice agriculture. “We are also planning to embark on estate initiative for agricultural programme this year. We are discouraging individual allocation of land and encouraging estates. We have a fish farm estate in Ikorodu and we are looking at establishing a poultry estate where farmers can invest,” he stated. Commenting on rice production, Basorun said it has specifically suffered much setback as a result of unceasing rainfall and flood, which the permanent secretary attributed about 40 percent decline in the production. He said the state “witnessed too much flooding in 2010 which affected rice production. There was lots of warming which went on in the northern hemisphere and brought in lots of moisture in our land”. But Basorun acknowledged that the rice production in the state had improved from 0.5 ton, which the permanent secretary said, the state used to produce before 2007 to a production of about 400 tons in 2010. He said: “We expect to yield 600 tons of paddy (raw rice) rice annually. When processed, this can come up to about 400 tons of processed rice annually. This is equivalent to 8, 000 bags of rice per annum. “Before our Rice for job programme started, the yield on our land was 500kg per hectare. Now we reap two tons of rice per hectare and that was when we were producing on 200 hectares. But the impact of global warming has been enormous. In 2009, about 40 percent of rice planted was lost to draught”. Basorun said the state government would target producing rice on 300 hectares of land this year as against the 200 hectares used last year, disclosing that the aim of the state government was to put in place ultra-modern rice factory before the end of the year. He however unveiled the plan of the state government “to introduce technology adaptable to our environment to mitigate the impact of climate change. We have introduced machines and flood-resistant seeds to mitigate the effect of global warming. If we cannot increase production, we will not lose”. |
Kobojunkie:you know they are selecting because they clue you in? This is another silly and ignorant nonsense you made up. Btw do you have a list of the helpless folks the state is not helping? Even with your idiotic analogy, celebrities are lagosians too and they pay taxes just like the next man and if I might, the governor is everybody's governor celebrity or not. |
Ibo people don suffer , Se as the yeye man dey throw dem doggy bone, lmao. |
I just wonder how you listed people who are not even in government talk less responsible for this accident and federal roads, at the same time completely ignoring the responsible parties. What about GEJ? What about the minister for works? I know Tinubu is everybody's boogyman, but send your anger to the people you are actually paying to take care of your roads. This is common sense. |
What's Tinubu's wife and the people you listed got to do with federal roads? What about the people responsible for the roads. Tinubu is not even an elected official. Talk about misplaced anger. |
