PoliticsRe: Yar'adua Might Try To Implement Sharia Across Nigeria? by babasin(op): 11:02am On Apr 26, 2007
@con9a,
That is why you have the legislative arm of government, such a decision/bill  will go through them.
Are you sure?

A sham of election has just be carried-out, where are your Legislators?

@debosky
What is a 'sharia apologist'?? stop using big grammar before explaining to us what you mean
Sharia Apologist is someone who believes in sharia to solve social problems. Yaradua is one. He implemented it already.

This is his answer to social malaise in Katsina; what  is his answer to social malaise for Nigeria?

if by 'silent poison' he builds roads and schools and saves 6billion in the bank with no trace of corruption on him, please poison the whole nation!!
You are joking, right?

How can someone who rode on back of sham do all these?
Dont you forget he got to pay back his handler or mess everything up as OBJ is doing now?
undecided kiss tongue

Nigerians always mixe reality with fantasy.
cool huh cool
In 1999, everyone was jubilating OBJ, in 2007 everyone just hope he disappears, somehow
grin lipsrsealed grin

You canont plant yam and harvest rice!!!
PoliticsRe: Yar'adua Might Try To Implement Sharia Across Nigeria? by babasin(op): 10:07pm On Apr 25, 2007
@debosky,
You have no insight or input as to the character of the man, this is pure and simple scare-mongering.
You judge a man by his actions and inaction.

Yaradua implemented sharia as Governor. Thats a fact and a woman nearly got stoned in same state

1. He is sharia apologist; he believes in it.

2. He will again apply same sharia to Nigeria. It does not mean it will be full implemented in Yoruba/Ibo states but Nigeria would be official sharia country.

so welcome to Yaradua, Mr Sharia.  grin cheesy grin

Remember, he does not make noise like Sherif but a 'silent poison'
cool shocked cool
PoliticsRe: Yar'adua Might Try To Implement Sharia Across Nigeria? by babasin(op): 8:52pm On Apr 25, 2007
@nazzyon,
Though in countries that are ruled by the Sharia law crimes still occur but it is limited compared to the state at which our  dear country's
Thanks for above.

Now you people have Yaradua's solution to armed robberies and crimes in Nigeria!

grin cool grin

Fela said you go hear 'wenn'; you think Abacha was evil? Now, we have seen how callous OBJ could be, wait till Yaradua, the sharia apologist take-over!
grin lipsrsealed grin
PoliticsRe: Yar'adua Might Try To Implement Sharia Across Nigeria? by babasin(op): 6:02pm On Apr 25, 2007
well, dont say you were not warned!!

when OBJ started in 1999, every one said he has changed, he was in Abacha prison.

Now that he has dealt with Nigerians; they want him go by all means even if handing over to sharia apologist

Thats Naija for show: patch-patch work
cool grin cool
PoliticsRe: Yar'adua Might Try To Implement Sharia Across Nigeria? by babasin(op): 4:04pm On Apr 25, 2007
@BlackMamba,
Did anyone, especially our "brown envelope" journalists ever tried to get his view on Sharia if he is elected president?
This is the most rational reply I have read so far!

Instead asking questions; you are be clouded by hatred for Atiku.

and all you talking democracy and National Assembly; Hitler was democratically elected with 'Bundesrat'

@TayoD,
The results of the last election expressed the wish of the 1% majority - PDP
Well said.
PoliticsRe: Yar'adua Might Try To Implement Sharia Across Nigeria? by babasin(op): 1:03pm On Apr 25, 2007
@Afam,
In Nigeria today we have seen OBJ push for certain things with the senate rejecting it.
Well have you seen new people who will be senators? have you seen all PDP members and in first-two years; they need to re-coup money spent in election?

You people are dreaming!!! Nigerians always have short memory.

The fact  is that Yaradau is a sharia apologist; he implemented sharia in his state, He will do it again for Nigeria.

It is his way of Life; sharia!

Before there was no church in Aso Rock, but OBJ built one; becos christianity his is way of life!
cool grin cool
PoliticsRe: Yar'adua Might Try To Implement Sharia Across Nigeria? by babasin(op): 12:32pm On Apr 25, 2007
@Mckren,
Please Yaradua a muslim serving as Governor in a predominantly muslim state is totally different from being President of Nigeria
Well Nigeria is 52% muslim. So he is correct to from your statement above; Nigeria is more muslim as christian.

And since he listen, why wont he listen and implement same sharia as President?

The die is cast; OBJ as handed-over to Sharia Apologist
cool grin cool

@alabiyemmy,
posting a news item of year 2000 and relating it to issues of year 2007
in 1979, OBJ was paddy-paddy President, in 2007 OBJ still remain a paddy-paddy President.

'ALI must go' was OBJ creation in 1970s, yet in 2007 same ALI is PDP chairman. so you statement has no merit

We now have sharia apologist as President elect
shocked grin shocked
PoliticsRe: Yar'adua Might Try To Implement Sharia Across Nigeria? by babasin(op): 10:21am On Apr 25, 2007
@saintchux,
Is Kastina state now Nigeria. And that news was 2000. not recent
People are judged by their action or in-action.

Yaradua as head of Katinsa implemented Sharia in his state. And sharia is still practiced in Katsina!

It follows that same Yaradua will implement sharia in Nigeria as the President.

You should have look at all his actions before rigg/selecting him.
PoliticsYar'adua Might Try To Implement Sharia Across Nigeria? by babasin(op): 8:51am On Apr 25, 2007
Yar'adua Will Implement Sharia Across Nigeria

Well, Sharia will soon be implemented across Nigeria plus a full blown membership of OIC.

Yaradua will start on this shortly as he did in Katsina as governor

PoliticsRe: Will The World Attend Yar'adua's Inauguration? by babasin(m): 8:49am On Apr 25, 2007
They better also prepare to have sharia implementation across Nigeria.

Yaradua implemented same sharis in Katsina, but nobody was talking of this.

@sleek_chic,

hope you don't mind, i put those quotes on another thread "Database Administrators On Nairaland ", and invited other DBA's for the meeting.
No problem. I am yet to decide between Sheraton and Eko Hotel both have advantages.

It is just that I travelled widely and to pay $370 per night it must be world-class 4*star hotel, which I doubt these two are.

Will let you guys know by Friday.

It makes you feel more proud when you see more Nigerians doing good things. I have been to places in the world and when I say I am from Nigeria; people remember JJ Okocha and are friendly to me. I will be in Lagos on Saturday, so Sunday is more relaxing.

I am really looking forward to naija again after 4yrs away.
PoliticsRe: Musa Yar'adua Is The New President Of Nigeria! by babasin(m): 6:25pm On Apr 23, 2007
This is very easy.

All the ballot papers must be taken to National Stadium. All TV stattions would be invited.

Each tumb printed ballot paper would be scanned and auto-displayed on huge SCREEN

Where its double, tripple etc  Those papers would be void.

The remaining genuie votes would be used to determine the winner. SIMPLE
PoliticsRe: How To Stop 419? by babasin(m): 9:47am On Apr 23, 2007
@saintchux,
While I agree with you that it is their greed that lead them to be defrauded, but it is causing more damage to us than them.
what is your press doing?

what is your people doing?

You should throw it back at their faces; the greey country and their citizens

You should be painting them black for encouraging 419 by responding cos of their greed

You should be asking the govt of those that get duped be deliver to Nigeria for imprisonment

But what do you get; Nigeria sit and hope somebody else will make its image better!! We are pack of jokers

@Cabali,
Good form of encouragement; it is inevitable!!
are there many other fellows in Lagos interested in Oracle/DBA?

We could meet briefly(1hr) as a forum; share ideas, encouragement while I am in Lagos next week.

if it sounds good, let me know. all at my cost.

it is a sucide. SA is worst crime country after Brazil.

South Africa still has a better reputation to Nigeria because of the 'whites' leaving their.

They avoid cause economic hardship for themselves.
PoliticsRe: How To Stop 419? by babasin(m): 10:47am On Apr 22, 2007

Why dont you rather stop the greedy people from responding.

This is Nigeria score card!

It is a pity we depend on outside to give us this score-card.

I wonder what OBJ did with Federal Office of Statistics; I wonder what measure in place to have an institutional system of getting data about Nigeria

ComputersRe: Oracle DBA Corner by babasin(m): 3:50pm On Apr 20, 2007
@sleek_chic,

My Motive: I want to have as much Nigerians as possible working  internationally in all the big firms.

In my work-place, there lots of indians and I would really like to see Nigerians too.

Plus, I am negotiating to have outsource some routine jobs(server monitoring) to Nigeria but cost, infrastructure, trust are big problem.

I don't need these CD, DVD anymore. So anyone can have it.

Spread the knowledge, collaborate: Those are the key to success of the west.

Also, it breaks down in middle of no where and you have to beg villagers for water, food.

It is real adventure!!

@truetalk,

You should visit KL surely, go to Batu Caves. rent a car and drive to Penang Island. Lovely.

It would remind you of going to VI from 3rd MB but better facility.

Also visit Cameron island, where tea is produced. The British still have some old colonial structures.

Transport easy, very cheap. Food clean, cheap and spicey like Naija.

ComputersRe: Network Data Storage/Backup Tips by babasin(m): 6:07pm On Apr 19, 2007
@Zai,
I was recently given a responsibility that requires desktop backup
What you need is NAS  = network attached storage.

You can create share folder across your firm and everyone backup to that. It is protected from virus and most easy to install.

How much gig of data?  how many people need to access the data?  what is retention time?
