@ slitzbeat To say roads buit in AKS are built were there are not needed tells me that u don't understand the state at all. |
The cities with best roads 1. Abuja 2. Uyo |
Afam this is not true, ndoki is just a border community in abia state, they are not part of ukanafun LGA nay AKS. The fact that they share borders with AKS does not make them part of AKS. |
What's this crap I hear about ndoki being in akwa ibom, I ask where in akwa ibom do they stay?which LGA in AKS?pls there r no ndoki ppl I AKS. |
Oh please STFU and see the difference between the occasional lone criminal activity and a sustained organised armed insurgency that has been ongoing for over 3 years non-stop in the north that has killed over 2000 people. I'll talkless of the ND militancy and a thriving kidnap and ransome industry in eastern Nigeria. They are well within their rights to issue a travel warning to their citizens. Fix your broken country man!Guy forget it, i have just said the truth, I feel safer in Nigeria than in the US, where pychos are always on the prawl anywhere, in nigeria we know its insurgency and one should steer clear of those areas till the trouble is over but in the US there is no peaceful place because, anybody could be pycho, you hear all sorts of stupid killings. |
Tmrw now the US will post travel advice warning their citizens not to visit nigeria because of violence meanwhile their own country is FULL of pychos shooting at ppl at will.bloody hypocrites.RIP doris |
It's Austrian and not Australian.Thank you very Much, I thought nobody saw that. |
akwa ibom is been over paid. i have said it over and over. ondo state ,delta. cross river are under paid Bad belle |
Very Typical of Nigerians, even the smallest signs of change , they bring out their nucs and shoot down every signs of progress. I can vividly remember how attah everthing(abi na airport, science park, le meridien, dualization of oron and nwaniba road) not up to 30% completion with all the money AKS had in 8yrs, but Donald Duke with much less made more impact in Calabar than our own attah made in uyo. This is the same man ppl are praising. They all want AKS to go back to the days of failed projects all over, with blood sucking indegineous contractors sucking all the money the state had without prosecuting any contract, yet attah kept quiet about it. PLEASE LEAVE AKPABIO ALONE, 2015 GO AND CONTEST AND LETS SEE! NO BE ONLY AKWA IBOM GET OIL MONEY GO TO OTHERS AND CHECK OUT AND REPORT BACK!!!!! |
It is public knowledge that some states in Nigeria have attempted to solve this problem, some of the states are Akwa ibom, Rivers, and i think lagos, i cant remember others, all have met a very big brick wall- the PHCN. For those who don't know, Power has three main components (Generation, Transmission and Distribution), the last two are still solely controlled by the big and failed PHCN, and untill we unbundle PHCN we CANNOT achieve power in Nigeria! let me tell you guys a short story, me and my collegues undertook a trip to a gas plant owned by a Multinational Company in the Niger Delta, the operations manager there told us that as part of their coperate social responsibility they provide electricity to the nearby communities, but we were all shocked to our bones when he told us that they pay PHCN some fees for giving the community electricity because PHCN is the only authorised body by law to distribute electricity in Nigeria, can you beleive that the shameless PHCN installed meters in every house and were calculating their service charge for every house for the multinational company to pay. So that is how bad the situation is. I know Akpabio's promise of uninterrupted power supply is based on the state capacity to generate power and the expectation that they will succeed in forming a distribution company alonside Rivers, Bayelsa and Cross River to distribute whatever power the plant generates. I know he can do it. |
i see benue, nassarawa and FCT get higher prevalent rate but na Akwa ibom own enter news, na wa oo, press sef, this country sef, i tire |
@gar3th ppl have no problem with the lagos state govt having a master plan, in fact all states do have master plan, the thing here is that the implementaion of that matser plan seems to have kept the cart b4 the horse, for BRF to rush to build an airport without ppl having roads to drive on simply doesnt make any sense to me, any day rain falls in lagos people are in for it, that shouldnt be so, that airport can come later after the basic infrastructure have been built , the master plan i see there has 4 parallel roads btwn the atlantic and the lagoon, why can he channel this 102 billion there before thinking about a second airport. I just hope i didnt waste my vote |
@laywer, i live in ajah, and i say all what you have said is absolutely CORRECT! lets forget about all the propaganda BRF is pushing about the reality is just what laywer has just said , just this morning, it took me 1hr to move from badore to ajah junction, a 10 minute drive distance, this is just crazy, he should rather think of more roads, more bridges and train services and not this crap airport thing! |
I think this whole airport thing by BRF is just crap, people cannot move about within the state comfortably and he is talking about a second airport. Lekki axis and other places in lagos need a lot of roads to open up these areas and not this ONLY one road concept that is punishing us on a daily basis, i thought he was even going to talk about high speed trains to move people about instead he is talking about this chop i chop project, he better gets his axes right before he losses it all to his godfather Tinubu! |
thats why you should have limited you analysis to states you are familiar with and leave the rest for other ppl to contribute |
To me sagamites analysis is full of prejudices, i say this because he cannot access the governors based on newspaper reports, what ppl say etc. the best way to acces these governors is to visit their states and comparing what was on ground before they came in. By the way, big university degress do not determine how good or bad a governor will be, the old INEC boss is an example a whole PROF, As for state governor (Akwa Ibom) , I personally put him in top notch, he's not a media type, visiting the state alone can tell the story. he entered the bad media books just because of the pre-election violence caused by a crook like Udo-edehe.we all know the story. Amaechi and fashola (possibly over hyped) have done well too based on my personal experience, not what is written in the media. Abia governor deserves some knocks.those are the ones i can access, as for the rest i dont know!!!!! |
I dont' know why the CPC are failing to understand what went on during the elections. the results are very clear as daylight with the following reasons. 1. What did he expect from the SE and especially the SS, this is a region who have been longing for a preseident and now the got the opportunity to elect one, these guys are smart , they gave it its best shot. 2. the CPC is no where in the SS and SE and SW, no serious campaigns where done here, the same shabby way they disregard the southerners, was the same way the conducted their campaigns in the south, this is a region they know for Godsake is not their strong hold they should have exerted more campaigns, but they didnt, now they are crying foul. miracles dont just happen! 3. They are complaining that the PDP rigged in some states in the North, these are states that have the PDP as their state governors, of course these governors will make sure they capaign vigorously for their party, if not they will lose their seats in the next elections, that is why the votes in those states where shared, its simple logic! 4. Proir to this time, the CPC had NO elected official in the country not to talk about the south, no local govt chairman, no house of rep, senator, governor etc. The are in contention for the race just because of one man, Buhari, period. if burahi leaves the CPC tmrw, i bet you, CPC is finished. 5. They complain that the ACN sold out their votes in the SW to PDP, the truth is that the ACN knew very well that the SW will surely vote to the PDP not because of PDP sake but because of Jonathan, so that is why Tinubu even considered having a talk with the PDP in Abuja to reach an accord knowing well that that romance might bring them closer to the center. meanwhile this happened afetr the ACN/CPC romance which broke down due to reasons well known to everybody. 6. PDP no matter what reservations we might have against them is still a national party, no party in Nigeria is as national as PDP, they are the only party that have it clearly in their constitution the issue of zoning. That is also why they could pull votes from the North. ACN, CPC, APGA are all regional parties, etc are all regional parties. Have you guys see the results on the map of nigeria the North south divide is very clear, so if probably all the major contenders had their candidates from one part of the country the results i bet would have been different and probabbly PDP would have lost. Finally i want to state that it takes a national party to win presidential elections in Nigeria and PDP have shown that, if the oppposition is really serious about getting power from tha PDP without having selfish or ethnic interests, they should all come together, the ACN, CPC and APGA and form a party that will have a national outlook, then ppl will have the confidence to give them the mandate especially at the presidency level. So I plead with buhari and his CPC ppl to stop overheating the populace with violence and going to court( which i think they would lose anyway) and go back to the drawing board to restrategise and thin of how they can have a national look and appeal to Nigerians |

Quote from: BabaTony on Yesterday at 04:19:25 PMMy dear friend, read my write up very you will see that i did not mention anybody's name, if you don't like GEJ, thats is your choice, others hate the ribadu and buhari you mention, having said that, my post borders on the way nigerians shout when things go wrong (we are all humans, including jega) without even giving anybody the benefit of the doubt. PDP will go one day if they don't get their axes right and another party will take over, but let us not live in utopia believing that another party will solve our problems, what solves are problem are good ppl. PERIOD!!!!!! |
I have to say this, Nigerians just like ranting when things go bad, at the end of the day throw away the baby with the bath water, when jega posponed the elections, most ppl called for his head, CRUCIFY HIM , CRUCIFY HIM, but now the election have come and the same ppl are commending him. Na waoo. this i am saying because ppl think the problem of nigeria is the PDP, but soory to say no, it is NOT, if tmrw another party controls the centre, we would all be saying the same thing about them. there are some good eggs in PDP, Nigeria dont throw away the baby with the bath water, vote in good PDP candidates. i will to keep this my small write up for prosterity purpose, when that time comes. and please i am in NO WAY campaigning for PDP, I am campaigning for ppl to CHOOSE WISELY their leaders |
@jas_o , the best answer for a FOOL , which you are a very BIG one is SILENCE, continue ranting like a MAD DOG! ![]() |
@jas_o You sound like someone who is already a psychiatric resident, FOOL!!! |
ACN should forget about Akwa IBom, its PDP all the way besides that, John Udoedehe is a BIG tout, just look at the rampage, destruction his supporters have caused in our peaceful state. Is this how he is going to govern us?God forbid!!!!!!! Akpabio is the man, He has taken Akwa Ibom to greater heights to a level the much touted Fashola and tinubu are jealous. Mr. Tinibu, a looter of International dimension (borrowing the words of ribadu) should go and sit down, concentrate in lagos. Leave Akwa Ibom to solve its problems! |
the worst debate i have ever watched, those panelist were so biased and the olisa guy, big disgrace! amoung those guys its only dosumu that will give fashola a run for his money! |
@lagerwhenindoubt It doesnt change the FACT that sahara reporters practices yellow journalism. I don't have a personal style of reporting news but there are laid down international professional ethics for journalism (you know what i'm talking about), and sahara reporters have fallen short of it. Period!!!!! As for the child witch saga in the state and how akapbio did not manage it well, i have one question for you, have you visited akwa Ibom before? if no, the discussion ends here!!!!! but if yes, where in akwa ibom and when? |
Yes, i agree, there was the Child molestation issue one, time, but the way Sahara reporters report their stories, they don't show any form of professionalism, what do you say to a statement like this: At the press conference attended largely by docile ‘yes men’ Akwa Ibom correspondents, the Commissioner claimed that there was a quarterly budget of N10 million for children in the state, including 178 in the three shelters run by the ministry.. What does sahara reporters mean by docile "yes men" akwa ibom correpondences This statement can NEVER come out of professional media houses like, vanguard, guardian, punch, STV, AIT, etc I know what i'm saying, journalism is not done the way sahara reporters do it. They just disgust me. i am serious. |

Sahara Reporters, hmm that crapy media house, i don't believe anything those ppl say. stupid yellow journalism ![]() |
