@Zayhal I am not sure you know what you meant by fabricated Hadith.TMC happens to be a society that goes against all sorts of Bidiah practised by some societies in the guise of trying to bring Islam to non Muslims and make it look different and spice it up just like the practice of other religion, TMC go against fabricated Hadith and there is even a text titled' 100 fabricated hadith'. I will advise you to grab the book and read. TMC do not support fabricated hadith, in fact, before any hadith is quoted, they will give you the isnad. If you know MSSN very well, then you would not be saying TMC supports fabricated hadith. They don't do that, you yourself know that when they talk of knowledgeable leader having wisdom and understanding of some Islamic injunctions, you would never be to put Dhikrullah Shafi aside. Now if you care to know, rather than listen to all the so called Islamic musician thinking that they are propagating Islam, I would prefer non religious singer to them. Now back to the topic at hand, if you have been attending the lectures very well, you would have seen they explaining in details what texts, some Islamic leaders couldnt explain. In addition, like I do say, there are very few Islamic societies I can attend because their teaching calls for questioning and most of them practise Bidiah and Alhamdulillah, we are approaching Ramadhan and this happen to be the time some so called Islamic leaders founding Societies on deceit would be exposed. I also heard people already fixing when they would start the ramadhan and when you tell them that look, they don't fix date, what of if it starts before the time your leader chose or vice versa, does that mean you would not fast but they tell you that their leaders said they should start and end by a particular date and that they started the same time with the Saudis, etc Also when the moon is bein cited signifying the end of Ramadhan, the section being misled by leaders would now fast on Id day having forgotten that no one should fast on Id day. If your fast is supposed to complete on Id day, you postpone it and fast after the festivals rather tna sufering yourself in the guise of fasting and still earn Allah's wrath. Back to the topic, For those that do not know TMC, it is called THE MUSLIM CONGRESS. Let me know the lectures you are not comfortable with and we look at it in the light of the Quran, Hadith and Sunnah. Now with regards to Albani, can I have what Albani said that Shafi went against him and we look at it Islamically. Maa Salam |
@Olaadegbu If you are not deceivingyourself, you would know that all the allegations in which you called 'attacks' levelled against your book are right in which you have been shown some. |
Salam all. Please I need Muslims stand on the topic. Firstly, I notice that people give preference to Solatul Fathi instead of Solatul Ibrahim and some even say that reciting it up to thousand times has reward than Solat? Secondly, I still notice in some mosques how some people spread a white cloth after Mahgrib prayer, sit round it and made supplications and never bother to pray the nawafil after Mahgrib. Please I would welcome everybody's comment on these. There are still some but would want to start with one at a time. Maa Salam. |
@Davidylan 2. The old and new testament is ALL ABOUT THE JEWS.Oga, are the messages therein for JEWS ONLY OR CHRISTIAN INCLUSIVE? |
@Olaadegbu What happened to the man in testimony #47 is similar to what happened to the apostle Paul. By the time the blinding lighting hit Paul he fell to the ground and before he touched the ground he was already convinced that it was an encounter with God; he said Who are you Lord? There was no argument whether Jesus was Lord or man, he believed in that short experience with the Lord Jesus Christ and was ready to obey the next instruction. Jesus responded by saying "I am Jesus whom you are persecuting" and that "it is hard to kick against the pricks".This is what I dont like hearing from you people, you dont just quote anything without proper understanding. Have you forgotten that Paul contradicted himself on his way to damascus or do you want us to go into that? |
salam alaykum brother babs. Be careful with TMC o. They make use of some fabricated hadith and You know the implication of that. Note, I'm not trying to be judgemental or discriminatory. It's all in good spirit. I've attended a number of their programmes along Oshodi-Apapa express way.Can you shed light on the fabricated hadith you mentioned and let us view it in the light of the Quran and Sunnah? I do not indulge in follow follow. I follow the teaching of the Quran, Sunnah and Hadith. Insha Allah, I would raise a thread on some practise infused into Islam in the name of beautifying Islam (Bidiah) which happens to be common among some Islamic societies. |
Salam Secondly, please I need advise on how to encourage the sister more. She still wears weave-on, paints her nails etc and I don't want to seem to be rushing her and at the same time, I'm wishing she gets things right ASAP. I feel so concerned because the husband is so busy and she even complained that he's not patient enough in teaching her.You dont have to rush her so that it wont be as if they are forcing her to revert and her husband needs to exercise lots of patient. Get her islamic books to read, just like 'the Ideal Muslimah' and she would love it. It took many years for the holy prophet to preach the oneness of God, just like Moses too. Introduce muslim sisters and let her be friends to her. When she starts moving with them, she would know what is right from wrong. Also, let her establish regular prayer and by doing that, she would be dropping some things gradually because she would know that, Allah would frowns at this if she does that. Just like how Allah touched a christian through me; when Allah touched her heart, she declared the Shahadah, I handed her over to muslim sisters for the bath. When we saw later, she told me that she wouldnt be wearing Hijab cos she would feel somehow in it but I had to calm her down, gave her materials to read. If I had told her that look, thats what Allah want and if you dont do it like that, it would be a sin. She would feel bad thinking Islam is a religion of compulsion and not giving her freedom. But Alhamdulillah, she is now a full fledged Muslimah, knowledgeable and she has been introducing people to Islam because I made her learn some facts about the religion she came from. You must also let her know that Islam does not lay hardship on Muslims and let know that there is enjoyment in Islam as well. May Allah make it easy for her and please do let me know how it goes. Maa Salam May ALLAH increase our knowldge. |
@Olaadegbu I am still reading from you and the lies in the link supplied by you. I have decided not to reply you cos you couldnt say anything meaning to the issue of trinity especially the verses supplied to you where Jesus distinguished himself. So keep enjoying yourself but would come in when your cup of deceit is full. Peace |
@ajadrage I am still much around the corner, waiting for where you are heading to before coming in. From your post, it seems you are a Jehovah witness member but all the same, no qualm |
Salam all. I am a TMC member and a member to other Islamic societies too as long as they dont indulge in Bidiah |

Salam Alaekun May Allah accepts the Ibadah of our new sister coming into the fold of Islam. This reminds me of a sister that reverted to Islam through Allah and me years ago. She declared the Shadah first and I handed her over to sisters for the ritual bath. If anyone has a real desire to be a Muslim and has full conviction and strong belief that Islam is the true religion of God, then, all one needs to do is pronounce the `Shahaada', the testimony of faith, without further delay. The `Shahaada' is the first and most important of the five pillars of Islam. With the pronunciation of this testimony, or `Shahaada', with sincere belief and conviction, one enters the fold of Islam. Upon entering the fold of Islam purely for the Pleasure of God, all of one's previous sins are forgiven, and one starts a new life of piety and righteousness. The Prophet said to a person who had placed the condition upon the Prophet in accepting Islam that God would forgive his sins: `Do you not know that accepting Islam destroys all sins which come before it?' (Saheeh Muslim) When one accepts Islam, they in essence repent from the ways and beliefs of their previous life. One need not be overburdened by sins committed before their acceptance, but if the sin involved usurping a right of another human, such as stealing, then they should strive their utmost to return what was wrongly taken. The person's record is clean, and it is as if he was just born from his mother's womb. One should try as much as possible to keep his records clean and strive to do as many good deeds as possible. If One Wants To Convert To Islam, Then What Needs To Be Learnt After The Shahadah? The term in Arabic for convert is Aslam. When Muslim scholars speak about conversion they say wal kafir idha aslama. In the Qur'an the term "repentance" (Tawbah) is also used: ", But if they (the pagans, polytheists) repent, and establish regular prayers and practice regular charity, then open the way for them, " (9:5). There are several steps to be discussed regarding the process: How To Become A Muslim For the common unbeliever to become a Muslim, he/she must pronounce the two statements of the Shahadah: "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger." A person who has previously believed in Judaism or Christianity has to add: "And I bear witness that Jesus is the servant of Allah, His Messenger, and His word which He gave to Mary, and a spirit from Him." This expression is to signify a rejection of both the Jewish misconception and derogation of Jesus, and the Christian misconception and exaggeration of his position. The Prophet (s.A.w.) said: "Whoever testified that there is no god but Allah, alone, without partners with him, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, and His word which He has thrown into Mary, and a spirit from Him, and that Paradise is true and that Hell is true - Allah will let him enter Paradise with what action he did." (Bukhari, Muslim) Witnesses To Conversion From a religious point of view, there is no need for any witnesses to a conversion, but for a person from a non-Muslim background to be known as a Muslim, he or she must officially register their acceptance of Islam so as to be treated as a Muslim in all aspects of life, such as civic and personal matters. This is especially important in non-Muslim countries: I am aware of the case of an elderly, hospitalised brother who embraced Islam sometime before passing away. Nearly all his visitors during this period were Muslims, but because his conversion was not recorded officially, his body was handed over to his immediate family who carried out the funeral procedures according to non-Islamic ways. Ghusl Once the Shahadah has been pronounced the new convert becomes subject to the rules of Islam. If the new Muslim is an adult, male or female, Ghusl is obligatory to enable the person to perform his or her prayers. It is not permitted, when a person comes to announce his conversion, to ask him or her to go and perform Ghusl first; this means delaying his conversion, and no-one knows what may happen during this delay. Abu Hanifah (r.a.) says that there is no obligation on the convert to perform Ghusl because Allah (s.w.t.) says: "Say to the unbelievers, if (now) they desist (from unbelief), their past would be forgiven them, "(8:38). Many people embraced Islam and the Prophet (s.A.w.) did not ask them to take a bath. When Amr Ibn al-'As accepted Islam, the Messenger of Allah said to him: "Did you not know that Islam wipes away what happened before, and repentance wipes out what was before." The explanation to this apparent contradiction is that Allah will forgive sins according to a person's rights. The obligation to perform Ghusl comes after conversion, to enable the new convert to offer his or her prayers. When Qays Ibn Asim accepted Islam, the Prophet (s.A.w.) asked him to take a bath. Circumcision The male convert should be circumcised, as this is part of the natural manners recommended in Islam. If circumcision would pose any risk to health it may be delayed until the person is fitter and more able to cope with it. The scholars refer to the example of Prophet Ibrahim (a.s.) who circumcised himself at the age of eighty. Some Muslim scholars would not accept an uncircumcised person leading prayers. Incidentally, there is no requirement of circumcision for females in Islam. Shaving The Head, Removing Bodily Hair It is recommended for the new convert to shave his head (men only) and to remove body hair from the armpits and the private parts (both sexes). It is reported that Kulayb came to the Prophet to declare his Islam, and to one he told him to shave his hair, and to another convert he said: "Clean off the hair which grew while you were a disbeliever, and circumcise yourself." Changing The Name If the name is an ordinary one according to the culture of the person accepting Islam, there is no need to change it. But if it has a meaning which is objectionable on Islamic grounds (such as Abd al-Masih, the servant of the Messiah), it has to be changed. Family Matters If the convert is in a marriage which is not acceptable in Islamic law, it is automatically nullified when he accepts Islam. For example marriage to a blood relative who is actually prohibited for marriage (Mahram) is of course null and void. If a man was married to two sisters, on accepting Islam he would have to choose between them. If a Muslim convert's wife remains a Jew or Christian, the marriage remains valid, but if she is of any other religion, the marriage is nullified. Underage children become Muslim once one of the parents accepts Islam. Adult children are free to choose. Wills And Inheritance A difference of religion prevents inheritance; a Muslim cannot inherit from a non-Muslim or vice versa. Inheritance here refers to cases where a person dies in the state (without having made a will) and the estate is distributed to heirs according to the law of the land. According to Islamic law, a Muslim cannot inherit from a non-Muslim relative in this manner. Wills, on the other hand, do make a difference: a Muslim may accept what has been left to him in a will by a non-Muslim relative. A Muslim with non-Muslim relatives may leave up to one-third of his estate to them in his will, but the other two-thirds must go to Muslim relatives. May Allah guides us on the right way. |
Oya Mukina, Where you dey? Allegation has been leveled against you so come bail yourself out. Are you guilty or not guilty of what Javalove said? ![]() |
@Olaadegbu If you are ready to accept the truth, you and I can walk through each convert's story using the bible and the Quran as our guide because I saw most of them interpreting the scriptures wrongly. |
@Olaadegbu Enough of this deception. The earlier you realised the truth, the better for you. I was like you and my posts speak for me. I have exposed most of the biblical you have been hiding under to support what turned out to be false. I dont need to lie to make you accept the only true religion before God. I am a living witness to most of what those people claimed to have been the reason for their living Islam but Alhamdullilah I found Salvation in Islam and I was and still happy for a friend too who went to Pastoral school unlike me. He had lots of certificate in ministry in which some were given to him by late Idahosa and it was after Idahosa's demise that the truth was made known about Christianity and pastoral school. Brother, you dont have to be arrogant but make use of your bible that says, prove all things and hold fast to which is the truth. I told you openly here and exposed what you thought happened to be truth. All these seeing Jesus in a dream is the work of the devil and that is the absolute truth. If you care to know him, his former name is Mathew Oyewole but now Masud Oyewole but would not reveal the church he went to but may scan his certificates including Idahosa's signature here as we proceed. There is no need to lie because we would all be accountable for our deeds. If you are still doubting me and believe in those stories, you and I can take it up and go through both biblical and Quranic verses because I saw that your people in those links gave wrong interpretation to Quranic verses and if you are ready, you and I can go through each convert's story and examine it. The ball is in your court. Truth stands from falsehood. |
@Queenisha @ Gamine,as I dey so,if Olabowole wants to wire me some money you think I'll say no because he's Muslim and I'm a Christian.na lie oNa wa for you, very funny. I may still hijack you from Nna and I do hope you have not forgotten? ![]() |
Chance to Heal Those Broken Promises Ramadan is on its way once more. Lucky are those who will be there when it arrives. Looking back at the last Ramadan, I remember the plans, promises and changes I intended to make which did not go exactly as planned. More sadly, I remember that I knew of people that were alive then, but this year they are gone! Who would have thought that they would not be able to get ‘one’ more Ramadan? Some of us take it for granted. We tend to only think of it when an incident as such takes place, and once we get through Ramadan; the reality of life just happens to slip through our minds. Those who do not forget and keep a record of their promises will surely be the winners. Fasting: Spiritual food for our souls Since Ramadan has not yet arrived, we can prepare our own ‘to be’ and ‘to do’ lists from today. We can mend those broken promises. Every job has its rewards, incentives and recognition. Islam is no different-for every good dead is multiplied by ten times. In the month of Ramadan, we have tremendous incentives given to us: mercy, forgiveness and endless opportunities to gain reward. The month of Ramadan is one of the best months of the year, in which Allah Almighty grants us the opportunity to cleanse our hearts and feed our thirsty souls with something that is everlasting: piety. Fasting: Frees your imprisoned soul Fasting is one recipe that frees our souls from temptations and from every prison we unintentionally invent around our souls. At one point, our Dua’as taps the doors of the sky hoping they would be answered. Joy is for those whose calls are answered by Allah Almighty in which he says: I hear you My servant, I hear you. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) told us: “Three supplications will not be rejected (by Allah) the supplication of the parent for his child, the supplication of the one who is fasting, and the supplication of the traveler. [Al-Bayhaqi, at-Tirmidhi - Sahih]. My plan in the upcoming Ramadan Insha `Allah, this Ramadan, I plan on trying to be the best person I can in every aspect. I want to try getting close to Allah in understanding and acknowledging the deeper meaning behind things. Also, I want to try maintaining my 'Ramadan' persona throughout my life. This Ramadan I'm planning on consolidating my relationship with my Creator. I want to gain more khushu and feel like a true Muslim who becomes humble and whose heart is filled with tranquility upon hearing the Lord’s words. To attain this state I want to become committed to the night prayer, which includes Taraweeh. I also want to ponder upon the meaning of the Quran rather than just recite it. During Ramadan drastic changes occur to the normal routine of daily life and this can take a while to adapt to. When Ramadan arrives the whole atmosphere around me changes to become more peaceful and spiritual and that will reflect on the way I feel and the way I function. The sort of activities I would like to have are things like group worship (such as congregation prayers, joint iftar, attending usrah etc), because that strengthens the bond between people and encourages them to continue the good deeds even after Ramadan departs. If it is done with a good intention then hopefully Allah will place the goodness in the person’s heart. Through fasting, we strengthen our drives and we learn a great lesson in patience. For everything there is charity and a charity for our souls and bodies is fasting, and fasting is patience. My tips for anyone wanting to feel or taste the beauty of the holy month of Ramadan would be to make sure that you use your time wisely, and to try to restrain from your bad habits. We ask Allah Almighty to grant us the opportunity and the strength to be part of those who will be there and to take the chance to review our hearts and restore the love and faith we might have missed at one point of our lives. Quick Things to keep in mind The month of Ramadan is an invitation from Allah to boost our faith; do not turn it away Protect yourself from yourself The fruit of fasting is piety; our way to Paradise Do not overload yourself with big plans Do one good thing at a time, and add items as you go Let it be the month in which you start the new ‘you’ |

@Remyte Olabowale, I think everybody needs to understand the real meaning of the words spoken by our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross. '' My God, My God why art thou forsaken me''. Jesus wilingly accepted to reconcile us back to the father and that means accepting the sins of the whole world. The sins of the whole world were inputted on Him the same way His righteousness was inputted on us. Remember the father's eyes cannot behold iniquity, He had to take His eyes off Him. It's also important for us to know that the torment he suffered the most was the suffering of His Souls. There are relevant texts to be consulted on this topic but more importantly the bible. Read Isaiah 53:9, 2Cor 5:21.Did you in any way explain Jesus' statement? Please why did he cry that 'my God, why has thou forsaken me' forgeting that he is God. You may still give me the verses in full and lets have a cursory look at them. |
Could you do the needful? |
@Olaadegbu The christian message is so simple that it does not require atheists, muslims or other religious adherents to fully comprehend the pre- existence and nature or Trinity of God before you can benefit from this gospel message. All you need is the right disposition of heart to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. The message is simple, that God manifested Himself as a man so as to invite mankind for the forgiveness of our past sins, the impartation of His righteousness to live a new life for the present and to give hope of eternal life for the future.Your attention is needed here: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-160520.0.html |
Quran 42 v 13: The same religion has He established for you as that which He enjoined on Nuh, that which We have sent by inspiration to thee and that which We enjoined on Ibrahim, Musa, and `Isa: Namely, that ye should remain steadfast in Religion, and make no divisions therein. |
@Virgo83 I am a Novice on this neither a Islamic Illiterate, I am a Learnered on this Field, A Graduate of MARKAZ TTA'LEEM IL'ARABIY ALISLAMIY""""INSTITUTE OF ARABIC AND ISLAMIC STUDIES, AGEGE , Present Serving SECRETARY to the MISSION BOARD, ISTIJABAH MOSQUE, Bajulaiye Somolu and note it I've been in the Field of Training the Young & the Old, Men & Women who seeks to know for more than a Decade and am still on it, May The Almighty ALLAH (SWT) sustain me and enhance my knowledge.Salam and I love your posts but the above calls for attention. How did what you post up affects/contibutes to the discussion here? There is a significant difference between Knowledge and Understanding. There are lots of people that do not go to any Arabic institute but knows Islam more than those than went to the school through reading, surfing, asking and confirming from the learned ones etc. We should be very careful on how we apply our knowledge to issues. May Allah increases our knowledge. |
2:184: Fasting) for a fixed number of days; but if any of you is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed number (Should be made up) from days later. For those who can do it (With hardship), is a ransom, the feeding of one that is indigent. But he that will give more, of his own free will,- it is better for him. And it is better for you that ye fast, if ye only knew. |
@babsAmin and all dead muslims. |
@Ajadrage Salvation is not based on Christianity or Islam, neither is it based on Hinduism or others, it is based on a personal knowledge of the father. Contemporary religions are tools to help us locate truisms of existence, our ability to achieve rapproachment with the Almighty and with our communal humanity defines our standing more significantly than our affiliations to religious institutions. It fills me with a sense of relief when I realize that salvation is not restricted by the boundaries of religion and it only goes to show the wonderful nature of this God who is everyday unfolding His grand design for a new system, what a wonderful show of love. When the choice is being made, I most definitely believe that one would stand on the side of this loving God. . .Islam is the religion taught in its fundamentals by all the prophets. It is the religion which the first human being was instructed to follow. It is the religion of Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad and all other prophets (peace be upon them all) throughout the existence of human beings. From the world view of Islam, most of the world's major religions originated in the pure religion of Islam itself and only through the teachings being lost, forgotten or wilfully corrupted have these religions changed. Judaism claims special status for the Jews as the chosen people - a status which cannot be acquired except through birth and which makes a Jew superior to any non-Jew (goyim) whatever their beliefs. Christianity insists that you must believe in various doctrines which form the foundations of what is distinctively 'Christian' belief in order to be 'saved' (i.e. that Jesus died to atone for the sins of Mankind, that Allah is a trinity etc.). This doctrine, the (Catholic) church itself admits, didn't develop until several hundred years after Christ and so cannot possibly have applied to those before Jesus nor to his early followers. In contrast to this, Islam has at its core, a simple message which applies to all human beings before Muhammad (pbuh) and all after his time: Quran 2 v 111-112: ", And they say: "None shall enter paradise unless he be a Jew or a Christian." Those are their (vain) desires. Say: "Produce your proof if you are truthful." Nay whoever submits his whole self to Allah and is a doer of good, he will get his reward with his Lord; on such shall be no fear nor shall they grieve." Islam is known not only as a rational and moral way of life prescribed for all of mankind, it is known by the term 'Din ul-Fitra' or 'the natural religion'. Islam is the religion designed by the Creator of mankind for the benefit of mankind and therefore fits human nature perfectly. Being Muslim is living in harmony with your human nature. Quran 5 v 3: "This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion". Quran 3 v 85: "If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah (God) never will It be accepted of Him and he would be among the loser on that day" Thus, the final Prophet of Islam is reported to have said, "Any one who says: There is no god but Allah and dies holding that (belief) will enter paradise".(Reported by Abu Dharr and collected by Al-Bukhari and Muslim). The Prophet (PBUH) reported that Allah said, "I created my servants in the right religion but devils made them go astray". The Prophet (PBUH) also said, "Each child is born in a state of "Fitrah", then his parents make him a Jew, Christian or a Zoroastrian, the way an animal gives birth to a normal offspring. Have you noticed any that were born mutilated?" (Collected by Al-Bukhari and Muslim). |
@Olaadegbu In the weblink below are stories of Muslims who have had a life changing experience. Each of their stories are true and different as the lives of each one of them is different. But each story tells how each of these people has found hope. Now check the link and see if the site supplied by you up is not included. Those false sites using Islamic name to mislead people have been exposed but if you really want us to adress the issue, give it to me one at a time here and we discuss using the bible and Quran and our guide. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-149788.0.html Olaadegbu Go through this link and read the deception therein. If you are ready for a discussion, you and I can start from the story contained in the link below. I browsed through and found out that he interpreted verses wrongly and wrote ignorantly. So the ball is in your court, let me know if you are ready to take a walk through the alleged story in this link among others: http://www.muslimjourneytohope.com/documents/The_children_of_ishmael_English.doc Also Olaadegbu This is the interpretation of a verse by your people from that same link We Need a SaviorBut here are the verses, so tell me where the issues of savior comes in? Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. 4 Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you are proved right when you speak and justified when you judge. 5 Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me. 6 Surely you desire truth in the inner parts [a] ; you teach me wisdom in the inmost place. 7 Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. 8 Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice. 9 Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. 10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. 11 Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. 13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will turn back to you. 14 Save me from bloodguilt, O God, the God who saves me, and my tongue will sing of your righteousness. 15 O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise. 16 You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. 17 The sacrifices of God are [c] a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. 18 In your good pleasure make Zion prosper; build up the walls of Jerusalem. 19 Then there will be righteous sacrifices, whole burnt offerings to delight you; then bulls will be offered on your altar. @Olaadegbu Again, read from the liar: There is no Salvation in Islam Allah Promised hell for his followers:Al-Imran (The Family of Imran) Sura 3:185, "Every soul shall have a taste of death: And only on the Day of Judgment shall you be paid your full recompense. Only he who is saved far from the Fire and admitted to the Garden will have attained the object (of Life): For the life of this world is but goods and chattels of deception." Where did Allah promise Hell for Muslims? |
Ok. This is it. My father died on August 24, 2008 but was buried the next day. He died around 12p.m and we thought we could bury him on that day, so we started making arrangement but along the line we couldnt bury him that day but had to postpone it till the next day. The reason for this is that, we had to contact him family member and before we could finish doing that, time has gone. So I went to his house and along with the his family member met and discussed how the burial would look like. My siblings and I agreed that we buried him according to Muslim rite but his family wanted to do this kinda party stuff in which we declined. We argued back and forth in which we concluded that we should bury him as wanted to but they, his family would do what theirs for him. I then slept at night and saw a grave dug for him and all of us were there and he was covered in white cloth. We prayed for him, while some were there praying and singing in the name of Jesus in which my mother happened to be one of them (I am not trying to deride christian faith here) but when he was about to be laid into the grave, he talked, removed the cloth from his face and sat by his grave. People ran back and when we moved close to him and ask him the reason for not allowing us lower him into the grave, he said that only on one condition and we asked him the condition and he said that he would loved to be buried as a muslim and according to Islamic rite and we said it would be done and he closed his eyes, died and we had to re-dress him and lowered him into the grave and did the burial according to Islamic rite. I woke up at 2a.m sweating profusely and grabbed my kettle, performed ablution, did supplication and prayed for fogiveness of his soul and begged Allah to grant him Al-Janah firdaus. I woke up the next day and told my siblings and we maintained our stand that we would give him a befitting Islamic burial with sadaqah and not drinking, cooking, dancing etc on the 8th ay fidauh prayer and we did just that. |
Prohibition of Backbiting and Slandering in Islam AS-SALAM ALEIKUM WARAMOTULAH All praise belongs to Allah, We praise him, We seek his aid, we seek his forgiveness and we turn unto him in repentance. We seek refuge with Allah from the evil of our souls and from sinful deeds. Whomever Allah guides, none can misguide him; and whomever He leaves astray, none can guide him. I bear witness that there is no god worth of worship except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. May Allah bestow His peace and blessing upon Prophet Muhammad, upon his good and pure family, as well as all the noble Companions and those who follow them in righteousness until the day of reckoning. We call on Allah to bless the souls of our leaders Abu Bakri and Umar and Uthman and Alli and there household and their righteous companions and the immediate followers of them and those that follows them in goodness till the day f reckoning. I remember one of the hadith of the prophet which was narrated by one of the companion Abu Musa Al-Ash’aree narrated that I ask him Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said: "Messenger of Allah: Who is the best Muslim? The Messenger of Allah replied, "He is the one from whom Muslims are safe from the evil of his tongue and hands Major sins are indeed the cause for all misery, evil and torment in this world and the hereafter. And the worst of all sins are those that are greatest in harm and danger to humanity. Among the destructive major sins are backbiting and slandering. These two sins are forbidden by Allah because they sow enmity, evils and discord among people and lead to destruction. They cause hostilities between people of the same household and between neighbours and relatives. They can decrease in good deeds and increase in evil ones and lead to dishonour and ignominy Backbiting (gheebah) means mentioning something about a person (in his absence), that he hates (to have mentioned), whether it is about: His body, his religious characteristics, his worldly affairs, his self, his physical appearance, his character, his wealth, his child, his father, his wife, his manner of walking, his smile, it is the same whether you mention that about him with words, through writings, or whether you point or indicate him by gesturing with your eyes, hand or head. Allah says in the Qur'an: "O you who believe! Avoid much suspicion, in deeds some suspicions are sins. And spy not neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear Allah, verily, Allah is The One Who accepts repentance, Most Merciful" (Qur'an 49: 12) Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) once passed by two graves and said: "Verily, they (occupants of graves) are both being tormented and they are not being tormented for something major." In the report from Al-Bukhari: "Rather, it is indeed something major. As for the first one, he used to go around spreading gossip (nameemah) and as for the other, and then he used not to protect himself from his own urine." The scholars say the meaning of "and they are not being tormented for something major" is "something major" according to their opinion or "something major" for them to have abandoned doing. Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) also said: "Who protects his tongue entrance into Paradise."from unlawful utterances and his private parts from illegal sexual intercourse; I shall guarantee him |
Iman Iman according to the Holy Prophet (saw) is to believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Last Day, and to believe in divine destiny, both the good and the evil thereof. Iman is to believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Last Day, and to believe in divine destiny, both the good and the evil thereof. This level is more theoretical than the first level of Islam. In the first level, a person is saved by worshipping God through actions. Here, to reach Iman, more faith is needed, a deeper degree of acknowledgement is required. This includes a belief in God and what he said. He informed in His Book, the Holy Qur'an, that He has angels, He sent previous books to humanity, delivered through previous messengers. Thus, a person reaching Iman (a Mu'men) believes that not only God exists but He is capable of doing anything He wants. A Mu'men believes in everything God told about in the Holy Qur'an. He believes that there are other intelligent creations of God than human beings, particularly angels. Among these are Jibril (Gabriel, the medium between God and His human messengers), Michael (angel of sustenance), Ezrael (angel of death), Israfel (angel of the Trumpet), Radhwan (custodian of Paradise), Malek (custodian of the Hellfire), Nakker, and Nakeer (the angels who keep records for our good deeds and bad deeds). A Mu'men is a person who believes that these angels exist and our life is affected by them. A Mu'men also believes that God revealed His guidance to humanity in previous books before the Holy Qur'an. These included the Torah (Old Testament revealed to Moussa, Moses, bpuh), Zaboor (revealed to Prophet Dawood, David, bpuh), and the Engel (New Testament revealed to the Messiah, Essa Bin Mariam, Jesus Christ bpuh). These books included the same message of guidance to humanity summarized in the Holy Qur'an. A Mu'men, further, has the same respect and love to the previous messengers of God, and should not differentiate one from the other, or side with one against the other. A Mu'men believes that this life is a test, in which all our deeds and activities are recorded by angels. We will be held accountable for the entire test when we meet our Creator in the Day of Judgment. So, the belief in the Last Day is an acknowledgement of accountability and reckoning. It is an incentive for people to do good in this life in order to be rewarded in Paradise, and a warning against doing bad in order to avoid punishment in the Hellfire. Finally, a Mu'men believes in Al-Qada wal Qadar, or divine destiny, both the good and the evil thereof. This is a belief in the ability of Allah, praise to him, to predict our behavior. True Muslims … Friendly and Likable Muslims who truly understand the teachings of their religion are gentle, friendly, and likable. They mix with people and get along with them. They should understand that keeping in touch with people and earning their trust are part of the most important duties of true Muslims. This is an effective means of conveying the message of truth to others and exposing them to its moral values, because people listen to those whom they like, trust, and accept. There are many hadiths that commend the type of person who is liked by others because of his or her good manners. Such a person is one of those chosen and beloved by Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). He or she will be closest to the Prophet on the Day of Resurrection. The Prophet said: "Shall I not tell you who among you is the most beloved to me and is closest to me on the Day of Resurrection?" The Prophet repeated it two or three times, and they [the attendees] said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Those of you who are the best in attitude and character." (Ahmad) Some reports add, "Those who are down to earth and humble, who get along with others, and with whom others feel comfortable." (Authenticated by Al-Albani) `Abdullah ibn Amr narrated that Allah's Messenger never talked in an insulting manner and that he never spoke evil. It is also narrated that he used to say, "The most beloved to me among you is the one who has the best character and manners." (Al-Bukhari) One attribute of the believers is that they get along with others and others feel comfortable with them. They like people, and people like them. How else will they be able to convey the message of Islam or achieve anything of significance? The Prophet said: "The believer gets along with people and they feel comfortable with him [or her]. There is no goodness in the one who does not get along with people and with whom they do not feel comfortable." (Reported by Ahmad and Al-Bazzar) The Prophet himself set the highest example of good behavior toward people. He was always cheerful and easygoing, never harsh. When he came to any gathering, he would sit wherever there was a free space, and he told others to do likewise. He treated everyone equally, so that no one present in a gathering would feel that anyone else was receiving preferential treatment. If anyone came to him and asked for something, he would give it to him or her or at least respond with kind words. His good attitude extended to everyone, and he was like a father to others. The people who gathered around him felt that they were truly equal, yet distinguished only by their level of taqwa (piety and fear of Allah). They learned to be humble, respectful of the elderly, compassionate toward the young, mindful of the needy, and generous with the strangers. There are other characteristics that made the Prophet deserve Allah's praise. Almighty Allah says: (And, verily, you [O Muhammad] are on an exalted standard of character.) (Al-Qalam 68:4) These characteristics involve the following manners: • He never looked for anyone's faults. • He never tended to be argumentative. • He never scorned anyone. • He never disgraced anyone. • He never talked too much. • He never concerned himself with matters that were not of his business. The Prophet never said anything unless it was for the sake of Allah. When he spoke, the people around him would listen attentively. They would speak only when he was silent. They never argued with one another in his presence. They would smile at whatever he smiled at. They would be impressed by whatever impressed him. He used to be patient with those strangers who might have been harsh in their requests or questions. (His Companions used to ask those strangers to speak gently.) He never interrupted anyone who was speaking; he would wait until the person indicated that he or she had finished. He was skilful in softening others' hearts and in showing them — through his kind words and sincere deeds — the way to winning people's love and admiration. A'ishah narrated that he used to be cautious of the bad and evil people. Nevertheless, he would speak gently to them and treat them well, not because he feared them, but because he was setting an example for his followers on how to deal with violent and vicious people. Such people should be treated with gentleness and caution so as not to stir the evil in them. The Prophet once told `A'ishah: "O `A'ishah, the worst of people is the one whom people avoid [or are gentle toward] because they fear his [or her] slander." (Al-Bukhari and Muslim) True Muslims should follow in the footsteps of their Prophet and imitate his dealings with all people. If those people are good, this will help them accept the message of Islam. If they are bad, they will at least view this message in neutral terms and we will avoid their harm. True Muslims are strong in their belief and in their adherence to good manners, yet they never accept compromises when it comes to their faith. |
@Lady You have just a verse to slug it out with Babs anytime you are back. Read my last post and profer solution to the verse and the question raised by me. My two intelligent Brothers: Littleb and Olabowale did wonderful justice to your false stories in which you couldn't support with anything and I told you that you should get your fact straight before coming here because you would be further exposed and you would find out that what your leaders have been feeding you are all lies. Your book even told you to prove all things and hold fast to which is the truth and my question remain the same. Let you and I discuss the verse you wrongly interpreted. |
