KarlTom: There are exceptions.
UBA was delayed... 😉 UBA must have been delayed by the N2 interim dividend bang, that must have been challenged seriously by the CBN. I pray it's dividend payment works that's delaying Oando too |

Sunrisepebble: How do the solve the negative equity is my question I think negative equity will turn positive easily as some of the liabilities are not money already spent but provision for future asset abandonment costs. The unaudited 2023 had positive cash flow, hopefully that positive cash flow should continue into 2024 into profit and reserves. My own question is when will dividend streams start. Will it be like N1 minimum for 2024 |

mikeapollo: This is a fallacious fantasy! There is nothing like ''production war room''! Oil and gas is produced in the oil fields, not in any ''room'' anywhere. Oando should cut this crap and focus more on delivering good production numbers from their now-revamped oil fields and their financial performance Chill small. I think they are just talking about a special coordinated production and terminal delivery monitoring. They need to get their crude 100% delivered to their Brass terminal from production facilities. I can relate it to what Governor Diri of Bayelsa was saying on TV yesterday, that technology like drones should be deployed to monitor things. He made this comment while hosting a visit by the armed forces. Perhaps Oando is just talking about working with the likes of the governor, the armed forces and perhaps some local surveillance personnel to nip oil theft and pollution that lead up to a mess up of the state ground water and soil.

olig: But this is not the case Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers Limited. You have to provide utility bill that bears your name. I am technically stuck with them because of that. Unfortunately, I can't even sell my holdings or withdraw. After opening the account it was dormant in less than two months, without notice. They are now telling me that I should provide a Stanbic bank account, etc. I still don't have their time yet; I don't have much there. My old certificate that I want to demat are also with them for close to three months now. They kept pushing me here and there. Often driver’s license and voters card are also taken as proof of address. Is this not useable here.? |

Tpharell: If you believe the minister has a switch in his office that he can flip to achieve that, then yes! If Oando produces 100,000 b/d oil for JV it’s share of production is only 40%. I think the minister is talking JV and not Oando’s 40% If Oando reports 25 b/d as its production. Then it means it’s doing about 63 b/ d for the country at the moment |

ProphetUtuocha: Food for thought: Between the hastily formed 'Renaissance group' and the legendary Oando, which company is more qualified to manage the SPDC's assets?
https://www.reuters.com/markets/deals/nigeria-rejects-shells-13-billion-oil-asset-sale-thisday-reports-2024-10-16/
Watch out as things unfold! Sure, the legend has more experience. Better assets near the legend or of good value be given to them for operational efficiency. How can renaissance from no where just come collect everything. Why is food for thought. Make the legend ramp up net cash flow and profits from ops and come out with positive net assets in financial statements first joor. And top it up with resumption of dividends payment. |

Why are they buying in 80kunits tho Looks like the sellers are not selling up to 100k units but at lower amounts. Perhaps so as not to drag the price down. Or what else could be happening? |

yMcy56: According to Pa Emma's analysis on ARADEL, it's still a good stock... Only try to watch out for likely bottom if interested.... What is presently happening in market may be connected to some negative info/news, OR some Ogas trying to depress the price to be able to enter cheaply OR, NGX is trying to find fair value for the share price, Or maybe taking profit to enter another cheaper one or too renter cheaply...... Many likely ifs and reasons actually.... The way Aradel has risen this year in NASD, thanks to Sunrisepebble that gave us live insight, there will be many that will want to take profit. And are not ready to wait and take further risk for future growth and dividends that is currently priced into the share price. |

mikeapollo: Aradel and Seplat's prices will surely have some ''contagion effect'' on Oando. All that is required is for Oando to post some decent profit for HY2024 when results come out on Oct 23rd. Aah a week to go. Not that far |

However understand those looking backwards at Tony/UBA will pay relative premium for Zenith or GTB. But looking at current deve, with UCAP and other Tony connected companies as well as current UBA numbers will see UBA as a good buy at current prices. |

leparj: 6M naira into Zenith shares or into FGN Bonds at 18.085% interest per annum for 3 yrs and reinvesting every coupon payment into Zenith Bank Shares? Or buying UBA shares? Which is the smartest move? Ogas in the house guide me. Especially Oga Emma. Final DD as always is mine and I won't come here one day to say anyone made me lose my money. Buying more UBA looks like a smart move to me as I don’t see the mandatory capital raising exercise going less than N30. It should not be too far from that of Zenith. |

yMcy56: Make una no vex o......but can you guys just take these Naira/PMS discussions to the appropriate thread on NL before the politics guys invade here.
Let's stick to the purpose of this thread pls. The discussion is becoming unending. Haba!! Looking at Nigeria banks (especially ETI) I could deduce exchange rate used for 2024Q1 was about N1303 and for Q2 was about N1488. Discussion on the direction of the Naira is useful here for fundamental thinking. Some of the pro and cons arguments were worth reading!. Looking at this this news https://nairametrics.com/2024/10/10/naira-closes-at-n1625-13-in-ie-window-amid-market-turnover-decline/ and the way the naira is currently exchanged +1600, 2024Q3 may record further shareholder asset valuation gains for banks with net dollar assets and drags for those with net dollar liabilities. Wish the exchange rate stays within that of 2024Q2 of less that 1500 |
