There was no high seas then, so people like armadeo and kaycee7 that had no TV in their house had to peep through their neighbor's window to have a glimpse of the latest release. Fast forward 31 years later, nollywood has grown and improved with new state of the art motion pictures.

Back to the movie, it was mad, crazy and fun. I think chidi mokeme deserve an award at the AMVCA for his role in shantytown. His portrayal was true to life. The story is generic but was catchy. Let me confess, i have a crush on nancy. I can fantasize her all day. When i saw her nudes, i was turned on. My worst actor was shaffy bello. She was just play-acting. Who send her? In the end, an interesting watch. Looking forward to a sequel

Also noticed there is an Hollywood live action movie adaptation of it with Samuel L Jackson which is quite surprising considering the kind of adult and sèxual content it depicts....

The story was quite better than I expected...despite it being short and simple...

I wasn't expecting a happy ending, and sure enough I didn't get one...

Was checking out some reaction videos to SQUID GAME

it's been a year since that masterpiece dropped...

What made Squid Game so good wasn't just the shock and the games itself but also it's Characters...everyday people and how their lives led them to that point...
How flawed the Characters are...even the MC...

At the end of the day, he still chose to return...part conviction to try to end the games even though the odds are against him...

Also the themes and the social message

The show was so good...

The time travel concept is an intriguing, fascinating but yet complicated concept. I think the complexity all stems from the fact that nobody has ever time travelled before, hence the different theories or school of thoughts out there.

One school of thought is of the opinion that we are all programmed towards a particular path on this Earth, you can't change your path, and should you have the ability to go back in time to change it, it's not going to work, as it must happen. This invariably, kills freewill in the present, and this realization is quite scary if you ask me.

Another school of thought is of the opinion that you can actually reprogram your programming on earth.......if somehow you travel back through time and influence your younger self or an important event which would in turn create an alternative timeline from the original timeline.

Truly, time travel is one complex concept, complex and complicated because no one has ever done it before, hence, all we have are just theories and nothing more.

I think the Predestination concept works better. Like you could travel back in time to save a person from death and end up being the one who killed that person

There is also the grandfather paradox:
"If a time traveller went back in time and assassinated their grandfather in his childhood, it could result in a situation where the time traveller’s parent is not being born at all. In that weird case, the time traveller also wouldn’t be born at all. So, who killed the grandfather in the first place? I remember this anime I watched years ago...Zetsuen no Tempest...
Where someone time travelled to the past to save a girl that was murdered...it turned out that because he travelled to the past, he made the girl realize the events of the future and realize that the only way to save the world was for her to commit suicide...
Meaning, if he never time travelled, she wouldn't have died in the first place



Also, maybe someone has done time travel before but we don't know yet...
Just like how we don't know if we are truly alone in the universe...

The final twist was pretty predictable...but what I didn't like the most about it were the motives behind it.
They made Mason Kane into a simp, who betrayed thousands of people because of a woman.
It was neither because Citadel made a mistake that killed 100s of innocents, nor because of his father's death...

Mason Kane betrayed Citadel just to find a woman who rejected him...wtf

I'm pretty sure everyone here has seen this movie. Except me before today tho. But I'll try not to include much spoilers

It shows some of the time travel paradox and how no matter how you try to change events through time travel, these events are predestined to happen.

It actually isn't the first movie/media to show this...since I've seen this concept a lot...but it does a solid work at it...

It goes pretty crazy... especially how the cycle of the character will keep repeating itself for all eternity...
Almost like an eternal loop with no way out
