We need good investigators to beam a searchlight on the claim by the office of AGF. We need to know if this claim is true or not. If the AGF was found to be telling lies, she should be dragged. I don't care if she's a Yoruba woman, anybody that is bent on bringing Nigeria to her knees, they will not know peace. The level of suffering is increasing and some useless people will continue to siphon public funds that should have been used to alleviate poverty in the land. Anybody stealing public funds and causing untold hardship to the people will not have good health to enjoy that fund by the special grace of God. |
The way public officials continue to defend illegal act is second to none. Who will believe the Minister does not have fraudulent intention by authorising payment of public funds into private account? Why do people always misuse any opportunities given to them to do things differently? The rot in the system is too enormous and Tinubu needs to take a hard stance on corruption if he wants to succeed at all. Almost every public officials are corrupt and stopping this rubbish will need outright dismissal and prosecution of any public official accused of corruption. |
yemobrown:You said nothing will happen? You think say na Hausa be Chief of Army Staff? Once dem report this guy rubbish to Lagbaja, him own don finish be that. If not that Nigeria is an insane country, soldiers that are supposed to be law abiding will be the one breaking the law and feeling funky about it. Na because people deh hype dem reason why they continued to display lawless attitude. |
happney65:Na people like you deh make dem shut Nairaland. Can't you comment without using uncouth words? |

in Feintline:Get sense bro. Some of you just think a country as complex as Nigeria is easy to fix overnight. I tell you, Nigeria is gone and if anyone tells you he can fix Nigeria instantly, do not fall for it. Almost all Nigerians are greedy and only waiting for their own opportunity to loot. |
Why are African leaders so short-sighted? The public funds wasted in building this could have been channelled to building public hospitals, schools and good roads. Most of our African leaders are good at wasting public funds on frivolous things that has no direct impact to the people. The governor that built this would think he has achieved something whereas he succeeded in wasting public funds. |
jconsulting:He had mismanaged the only chance he had while serving as VP to Obasanjo. Even if he won't support OBJ for third term, Atiku should have lay low and pretend that he's in full support of OBJ decision but his rebel antics exposed him and OBJ dealt with him that he's yet to recover from several electoral loss till date. |
MatrixReloaded:See what you're spewing. You people will complain that Nigeria is not working, government is trying to enforce compliance, you're still blaming government. How will the country be better with this your mentality? |
Judolisco:Get your facts right. Who told you they are paying beneficiaries by cash? I have worked in the banking system in Nigeria and most of these payments were effected through bulk uploads into beneficiaries account. However, these does not rule out the fact that a chunk of these fund may be diverted by corrupt public officials. |
agabusta:The electorates will form and make a decision based on your past achievements. Leadership is not only about having good intention or claiming to be a saint but does the would-be leader has the political will and competency to govern a complex country as Nigeria. I think Obi will be overwhelmed with the various challenges confronting Nigeria and may be frustrated at some point. Take a look at Tinubu, the first 2 months into his administration, there was noticeable peace across the country, however, things are taking negative turns presently as security is getting worse under his watch. Why is it difficult for him and the security agencies to nip all these senseless killing in the bud? what are the service chiefs doing to curtail these rubbish? Why is Ribadu sleeping or what is his role as NSA? Arms and ammunitions are now in the wrong hands and this is a time bomb. Imagine Bokoharam, UGM displaying ammunitions in broad day light and some governors are romancing them or looking away? What would Obi have done differently if he were to be the president today? Do you think he has solution to boko-haram, fulani herdsmen, kidnappings bedevilling the north and UGM issue in the south-east? How many states in Nigeria has Helicopter that can respond to emergency security issue in their states? These governors never think outside the box on ways to improve security in their states except to steal public fund. Federal government should compel every states acquire helicopters to respond to emergency security situation. Had it been Plateau State has an helicopter, the senseless killings of innocent people would have been stopped or reduced to the minimum. |
garriAndsugar:Bang the hell out of them Is he not the one that'll be tired and probably knowing the door to grave? |
SalamRushdie:So the investigator findings is wrong abi? Dey play. |
Greenfusion:Do not link his only problem to the fact that he never supported Tinubu. What about his illegal purchase of the two Banks, stashing millions of dollars in foreign accounts without approval etc. For even having the guts to enter politics, definitely billions of naira have been siphoned using his cronies. Emefiele hands is not clean to some extent. |
MRSALT:How did Tinubu benefited from Buhari's govt? He said it openly that he never ask or borrowed anything from Buhari. |
Dialpad:He must account for his actions while in office. Emefiele did not have a mind of his own, those northerners in Buhari's cabinet were just controlling him anyhow and he couldn't say no cos he was trying to protect his job. His greatest undoing was his interest in politics and the naira redesign. |
Why is Nigerian government irresponsible? Why not shoot at sight those beasts kidnapping people for ransom? Can't they deploy security personnel to the highway to monitor and safeguard the people? Everything is bastardized. Unemployment, insecurity, corruption, nepotism, Armed Robbery and collapsed economy is a menace in Nigeria. What's the usefulness of the Security Chiefs if they cannot combat the internal security threats facing Nigeria. At least if the government cannot improve the standard of living of the masses, why won't you be able to secure their lives. |
AqualinaXYZ:Mouth don starts again. If he eventually withdraws it, will you withdraw your statement?!Always beating chest on top nothing. |
Capernum:You are the only one sensible enough to ask germaine questions how he was able to acquire properties valued at N50m despite coming from a poor family? Is he into yahoo business, kidnappings, armed robbery or what actually fetched him that money? |
crossfm:If Fubara was not also hungry for power, why did he allow Wike to choose commissioners for him? If he wasn't comfortable with the arrangement as at that time, why didn't he reject the idea or allow Wike to pick someone else as Governorship candidate. I have always said it that people should stop supporting these politicians, they are the same. Can Fubara swear that he hasn't taken a dime from government fund apart from his salary and allowances while he was a commissioner? The same Obaseki that fought Oshiomole is now also trying to impose someone that'll be loyal to him. |
LooneyLester:Didn't he pay for the IHS which covered his healthcare? You're talking as if the healthcare is free there. As long as you're not working in healthcare, UK will collect IHS fee from you before approving your VISA |
Why is she just talking now? Useless politicians all over Nigeria. Anyone that keeps supporting them whether in APC, PDP or LP is a fool. Whenever they are stealing public funds, they act in unity but when their positions is threatened, they begin to yearn rubbish to gather public sympathy. |
Validated:See how you deh run mouth as if you're the governor. Some of you think na by gra-gra. Fubara is not taking decisions alone, he has some political heavyweight he's consulting that are telling him what to do, no be this your online suggestions. |
Obasanjo knows his name is at stake here and the international embarrassment it will generate for a person of his status, reason hes trying to save face and align with the federal govt. Nobody should support OBJ or Agunloye here until investigation is completed. |
Tetraozonaitera: |
Bliss62:Which official duty is he performing? I'm a Yoruba person however, you people should stop supporting rubbish. Why fly him to Nigeria when he's not yet okay medically? Why is he afraid of his deputy taking over as the acting governor? One thing I know is that Tinubu can ensure Akeredolu is not impeached while he recuperates. I see that people criticize when they are not the one in power but once they get hold of power, they turned something else. Is it that bad that he could not trust his deputy to take over or it's the wife that is manipulating the people? I like Akeredolu for his boldness speaking to the atrocities of the Fulani herdsmen in Southwest but his health is much more important this period. |
What is the best security strategies to curb kidnappings on the highway? Absence of check points on the highway has open door for kidnappers to launch attack at anytime. How could these useless kidnappers be attacking innocent people on the highway as if they are the one that made life unbearable for them? |
Segxydube:The guy made sense than you. |
SyrusdeHansome:Na this mouth go kill una. Which one is south-south politics? When things go south now, Na Tinubu you people go still blame. You people only hated Wike cos he won Rivers vote for Tinubu forgetting his infrastructural achievements while he was the governor. |
Lastmessenger2:Be hailing the governor now. Why not renovate the Assembly complex instead of demolition? Is it not tax payers money he will use to rebuild again? |
Bliss62:If Wike Looted, it means Fubara is also not exempted from the loot. |
Please who go carry out total cleansing of Nigerians bribery and corruption attitude? Imagine a female custom officer, a mother exhibiting this shameful behaviour. Infact, the Minister of Interior has a lot of work to do. The corruption in Immigration, custom and police is nothing to write home about. The public sector in Nigeria is too corrupt and the private sector is also not left out. Employment racketeering, nepotism, inflating contract, cheating, robbery etc. |
