Can't the Nigerian government purchase helicopters for all the state commands of the Nigerian police? Each state command should have at least 2 functional helicopters that can respond immediately to any attack in the State. The State governors need to collaborate together and invest in this instead of siphoning security votes and initiating projects that have no impact to the people.

As far as we know, this one is worse because in the military things are done fast and decisively, whereas what we have here is a situation whereby other arms of government still worship the executive, but still there's a lot of bureaucracy which makes policy making tideous and much more expensive.

Don't even get me started on how the so-called democratic government doesn't listen to the judiciary. They detain innocent people for as long as they like regardless of how many times the courts have freed them. Tell me, what is really different? Had Obi won the 2023 election, would you people have called for Military take-over? Someone that was not supported by the sitting president and had unfriendly policies churned our few months to the elections in order to bring him down eventually maneuver his way, strategized and came out victorious and you want to truncate his victory just like you did to Abiola. People should learn how to accept defeat and stop heating the fragile system. Some people think having 100% vote in their region alone is enough to win presidential election in Nigeria but they forgot that once you fail in core north and southwest, forget it, you cant become the President.

Thank you. The guy was saying rubbish. Does it even make sense that a whole provider of service is requesting her users to contribute money to buy transformer? It is because the consumer protection unit are not up and running reason why the DISCOS and GENCOS take Nigerians for a ride. Instead of them to improve their services, ensure at least 85% of houses in Nigeria are metered and allow the National Assembly make laws to jail anyone caught tapping electricity illegally, they are busy passing responsibility of transformer replacement to users, what a bad way of doing business.

Sanctioned for what? So because Okoro was promoted as a supreme court justice, he believes he knows it all. Who told him he is more knowledgeable than the justices at the court of appeal? It is possible judges in court of appeal and supreme see cases in a different way, hence give different judgement. You can't be casting aspersions on the learned justices as if you have a functioning brain than them.

The judgement given by the Supreme court is on the gubernatorial election and is not related to that of the lawmakers.

Will the permanent Secretary deny having knowledge of those illegal act committed by the Minister? The P.S should have also been placed on suspension pending when investigation is concluded. The Minister cannot singlehandedly take that decision without the input and connivance of the Permanent Secretary.

See, you cant just conclude like that. Let EFCC conduct a thorough investigation on her current activities and past activities in that Ministry and anyone found culpable should be suspended and made to face the full wrath of the law.

The right decision considering the current circumstances. Like i have always said, the federal public service is not the private sector where the CEO can do as they like. The public service is governed by laws, rules, regulations and over one thousand extant circulars. People without public service knowledge who gets appointed as ministers and heads of agencies must be extremely careful and very cooperative with the civil servants they meet on ground or else, they will run into trouble quickly.

I like Betta Edu and really wished this did not happen to her but the serious violations observed from those approvals and the fraudulent intention behind the diversion of over N500m to a private account are too much to be ignored. I hope other newly appointed political office holders would learn from her mistake. Learn the rules before approving anything. When in doubt, seek and take the advice of the more experienced civil servants. If Betty had listened to the wise counsel of the Accountant General, she won't be in this mess.

Which experienced civil servants? Don't be surprised the civil servants are the conduit pipe used in siphoning public funds. I'm sure they were the one that sold that idea to her. Infact, EFCC should probe that woman whose account was used to receive the find. There's every tendency that woman's account was receiving public funds during buhari's tenure. The permanent secretary of that ministry ought to have been suspended too. The Minister cannot do anything without the connivance of the Permanent Secretary.

You are right, however I think what infuriated Sanwoolu was the guy insistence that he was a soldier. So because you're a soldier, Sanwoolu should exonerate you and lock up the civilians that were arrested. A soldier that should be seen upholding the laws of the land is the one breaking it and people are coming to his defense. It is because people hype the soldiers, that's why you see them saying bloody civilians. Does Soldiers in advanced countries like Canada, US and UK call their citizens bloody civilians?

I tell you, what the government will aim, will be to peg minimum wage at a value between 50 and 70 thousand Naira. This I have seen and I'm sure labour will drag back and forth but at the end of the day accept that amount.
