Jennyclay:So because soldiers are protecting the country, does that make them to be above the law of the country? The way some of you reason self calls for serious concerns. The law of the country is bigger than anybody and performing your duty which you're not even doing for free is not a ticket for you to break the laws of your country. Please try and get sense. |
lilytender:Stop hyping your Obi. Ganduje dethroned Sanusi and nothing happened. I'm sure Sanusi will still be biting his fingers. These traditional rulers have no power under the constitution and are under the control of the local govt chairmen. If Obi is not careful, they will show him the other side of politics and he will be gone. |
Can't the Nigerian government purchase helicopters for all the state commands of the Nigerian police? Each state command should have at least 2 functional helicopters that can respond immediately to any attack in the State. The State governors need to collaborate together and invest in this instead of siphoning security votes and initiating projects that have no impact to the people. |
Chukwuka319:Speak for yourself alone. Your personal opinion is not that of Anabrarians. |
RingRoadCartel:Had Obi won the 2023 election, would you people have called for Military take-over? Someone that was not supported by the sitting president and had unfriendly policies churned our few months to the elections in order to bring him down eventually maneuver his way, strategized and came out victorious and you want to truncate his victory just like you did to Abiola. People should learn how to accept defeat and stop heating the fragile system. Some people think having 100% vote in their region alone is enough to win presidential election in Nigeria but they forgot that once you fail in core north and southwest, forget it, you cant become the President. |
slaawomirr:Are they themselves ready to meet you? Stop hyping yourself. This Man (Minister of Interior)issue has to do with flouting ethical requirements( not yet proved). Let him appear before CCB to clear himself and if found wanting should be dismissed and a capable hand be appointed to replace him. |
slaawomirr:And you're also a saint abi? It's always good to criticize any govt in power, but the fact is are you including me qualified to attack the government? Many Nigerians are hypocrites and are not in anyway different from those in power. Some are into robbery, yahoo, Internet scam, relationship scam, kidnappings, pipeline vandalisation, employment scam, assassination, raping, sex for grade, admission scam and a host of other illegal things, yet people in these category will also be demanding a change in the country. We all need to check ourselves (including me) to change the narrative and work on our mindset. |
jmoore:Thank you. The guy was saying rubbish. Does it even make sense that a whole provider of service is requesting her users to contribute money to buy transformer? It is because the consumer protection unit are not up and running reason why the DISCOS and GENCOS take Nigerians for a ride. Instead of them to improve their services, ensure at least 85% of houses in Nigeria are metered and allow the National Assembly make laws to jail anyone caught tapping electricity illegally, they are busy passing responsibility of transformer replacement to users, what a bad way of doing business. |
Shikini:Did Tunji-Ojo embezzled public funds that you want EFCC to pick him up? His case is ethically related and CCB is better to handle such. |
Had Buhari curtailed these monsters and deal decisively with them, it wouldn't have become worse like this. He was pampering boko-haram and renamed them bandits. A whole General that cannot bring bring bandits and kidnappers to their knees, I'm ashamed of him. Tinubu is also facing the same challenge and things are getting out of control. Can't these leaders think out of the box and come up with good intelligence and highly effective security measures to tame these monsters. I'm beginning to think our government is insensitive, insincere and highly culpable in the dwindling security situation in the country. What's the usefulness of the NSA, COAS, CDS and IGP if they cannot put an end to this rubbish? |
Bobloco:Sanctioned for what? So because Okoro was promoted as a supreme court justice, he believes he knows it all. Who told him he is more knowledgeable than the justices at the court of appeal? It is possible judges in court of appeal and supreme see cases in a different way, hence give different judgement. You can't be casting aspersions on the learned justices as if you have a functioning brain than them. |
arazanbal:The judgement given by the Supreme court is on the gubernatorial election and is not related to that of the lawmakers. |
Honestly, Nigeria is one useless country. What kind of rubbish is this? Billions are allocated to the Army, Airforce, Navy, Police, Civil Defence, yet nothing to show for it. Honestly, Buhari was the major reason why insecurities went south. This Man was pampering them because they were from his region and the northern governors were also taking pictures with bandits. Why cant the govt take a hard decision on these terrorist and kidnappers by eliminating them without arrest. We are tired of arresting these monsters all because you want to extract information from them. All those arrested so far, have you been able to know their sponsors? What is Tinubu, Ribadu, Chief of Army, defence, and Police doing? Why are they incapable of stopping this nonsense killings here and there? If you cannot protect the lives of your people, why not resign and let somebody who is capable to take charge? if the Airforce starts to bomb the terrorist in the north, those northerners will start complaining again that they are killing their people. They sow insecurities and it germinated to the extent that it cannot be controlled anymore. Infact, govt need a law to ask anyone in possession of firearm to surrender it immediately, otherwise once you are caught possessing illegal firearm, youll be shot immediately. That is one of the ways to control insecurities in Nigeria. |
This police report does not align with the deceased being found in a pool of blood which was earlier claimed. |
matify83:I know the current Chief of Army Staff will not take this case lightly. If Tinubu gets to know of this case, I pity those indicted officers, they'll be dealt with. Everyone will just be using their power to oppress the poor. The Nigerian Military are just too unprofessional and they need serious and continuous re-orientation. How could you freeze an officer's account for one year? This is a serious allegations which must be investigated thoroughly. All what they know is obey the last order. Can't they behave and act the way military of advanced nations like US and UK do? |
This is a a good and formal response from the Bank. Nigeria Newspapers and online media all in an attempt to catch public attention will give sensation to their headlines and will not give accurate situation report. |
EreluRoz:Will the permanent Secretary deny having knowledge of those illegal act committed by the Minister? The P.S should have also been placed on suspension pending when investigation is concluded. The Minister cannot singlehandedly take that decision without the input and connivance of the Permanent Secretary. |
I expect the Permanent Secretary and Director of Finance of Humanitarian Ministry to also be placed on suspension. The Minister cannot singlehandedly take such decision without the input or connivance of these senior officers. They have been doing this illegal thing for a long time. |
hopexter:Dont mind him. If it was Nigeria a prisoner escaped from Jail, they will say such cannot happen in sane climes. |
BeardGangJnr1:What happens to re-order level? So you think the plant will wait till the stock is exhausted before making order for subsequent crude? The way some of you reason and think is something else. |
I won't reveal the details yet to the wife and children until they are done with burial and all expense taken care of. I wouldn't want their extended family to know about it cos they may want to claim it as their brothers property. Once the burial is done, I'll call the wife and children for a very important meeting and disclose it to them. |
codedgalaxy:How many guys can do exactly like you did? They'll believe dem don hit jackpot once a beautiful girl ask them to put their contact number. A beg, no gree for anybody this year. |
fergie001:Did he also obey Supreme court judgement when he was directed to recognise old naira notes as legal tender? Emefiele ignored court directive and only said until he gets approval from Buhari. Shishi, he will not get here, Oniranu. |
Now that Betta Edu has been suspended, i believed she did not carry out that illegal action alone. In my opinion, the permanent secretary and director of Finance in that Ministry cannot claim ignorance of that shady act. The Minister cannot single handedly take that decision without the input and connivance of these senior officers in the Ministry. Infact, they could be the one that brought that suggestion to her cos that practice has been their usual way, however i stand to be corrected. A thorough investigation should be carried out to know if they are guilty or not. What do you people think on this? |
Dyke15:See, you cant just conclude like that. Let EFCC conduct a thorough investigation on her current activities and past activities in that Ministry and anyone found culpable should be suspended and made to face the full wrath of the law. |
seunmsg:Which experienced civil servants? Don't be surprised the civil servants are the conduit pipe used in siphoning public funds. I'm sure they were the one that sold that idea to her. Infact, EFCC should probe that woman whose account was used to receive the find. There's every tendency that woman's account was receiving public funds during buhari's tenure. The permanent secretary of that ministry ought to have been suspended too. The Minister cannot do anything without the connivance of the Permanent Secretary. |
ITbomb:So the ministry cannot give instruction to bank to do a bulk upload by debiting the ministry account and crediting the bank account of the beneficiaries? The way you people defend nonsense is second to none. |
blackmantis:Are you trying to defend the action of the soldier who broke the law? You people want the country to be better and here you cannot condemn the law breaker rather you're envisaging what soldiers might do. |
TajuDEENaMao:You are right, however I think what infuriated Sanwoolu was the guy insistence that he was a soldier. So because you're a soldier, Sanwoolu should exonerate you and lock up the civilians that were arrested. A soldier that should be seen upholding the laws of the land is the one breaking it and people are coming to his defense. It is because people hype the soldiers, that's why you see them saying bloody civilians. Does Soldiers in advanced countries like Canada, US and UK call their citizens bloody civilians? |
I tell you, what the government will aim, will be to peg minimum wage at a value between 50 and 70 thousand Naira. This I have seen and I'm sure labour will drag back and forth but at the end of the day accept that amount. |
PressMyButton:What rubbish is this? What concerns us with the programmes she has initiated? Whenever they are accused of illegal and unethical acts, they'll begin to look for means of defending themselves. What concerns opposition in this? Was it opposition parties that directed Beta Edu to unlawfully ordered transfer of public funds into account? |
