Fiscus105: Because you didn't fight ur fight like a wise man, moreso, its too soon to make it publicly.
A wise man would have waited for supreme court first.
Next, find ways to get majority of law makers to his side ( if you alone cannot win them to ur side, you should have sent very powerful emissaries and major stake holders within and outside the state to each of them separately to woo them with backing of huge amount of money and other goodies goodies)
Now, it's extremely difficult to get them to ur side since the fighting is already in the market Square.
You will fight for ur entire 4 years on the throne, provided you won't be thrown out before that time. So he should use public fund to woo the lawmakers to his side and you want the country to get better? |

othermen: How to get away with Murder: Thwarting an Aspiring Leader, Nigeria edition.
Adeoriokin possessed both material and social capital, positioning him as a potential future leader in his state.
His humility and charisma endeared him to many, but some felt threatened by his ascent.
Here's a strategy to impede his rise: appeal to his likable qualities, invite him to a nighttime meeting, and instruct him to park his vehicle in a secluded area. Enlist local vigilantes and instruct them to give him a grand entrance with gunshot salutes. Have one of the vigilantes demonstrate by firing into the dark close.
Keep a controlled mob at a distance to ensure the vigilante can’t present a plausible story about being misled into shooting into the dark alley.
Utilize your influence to prevent any hospital in the vicinity from admitting him. If someone attempts to bring him to a hospital, get someone to remind them of a fictional police report and emphasize the victim's influence, suggesting that the hospital would be held liable if he were to die. The public hospitals don’t even have the capacity, “he should end up dead in one of those”.
As the plan unfolds, and he fortunately passes away, the police may invite you, but as a prince, you are likely to escape legal consequences. As it can lead to another Modakeke-Ife inter-community civil war. For the purposes of peace, proper investigations can be a cost.
With Adeoriokin out of the picture, those who less charismatic and socially incapable now have an opportunity without feeling threatened.
His immediate family abroad are afraid to come back to Nigeria to assess his estate for fear of their own safety. Those back home mourn their promising relative while ensuring they get ahold of his estate. I totally reason along with you. This somehow look like a planned work. It seems the professor is a threat to some politicians because of his exposure and carriage, hence they looked for a way to eliminate him. Never trust a Nigerian politician, they are very wicked and are always ready to kill to attain any position. |

Just look at the way every single northerner is threatening Tinubu left, right, center. and his supporters claim that he got balls That's the more reason all southerners must really round him to ensure true federalism. He's the only one in the south apart from Wike with the steel of ball to face these northerners. Where were these northerners when Buhari was taking useless decisions to favour the north? Where were they when millions of dollars that should have been used to revive critical sectors in the Nigerian economy were diverted to constructing useless rail line to Niger republic? They like to bark like dogs once they are out of power and the best Tinubu can do for this country is to restructure the country so that each regions will be responsible for her growth and development. A region cannot be feeding fat on Niger -Delta oil while unleashing bandits, kidnappings and boko-haram to destabilise the country. |

He already displayed weakness when he reabsorbed commissioners who willingly resigned on their own without provocation. He won't have it easy in the executive neither is he having it easy with the legislative. How he handled the whole scenario proved him to be weak and indolent reason a common LGA chairman could insult him without fear first in the history of Nigeria. Isn't it obvious that this man will be impeached as Governor? If you were the governor and the president asked you to re-absorb the legislative members that resigned, what will you do? Hello Nairalanders, I will like to know if the directive given by Minister of interior with respect to issuance of international passport still in full force. People that have applied of recent, is there any improvement or they have gone back to status quo? Let us know so we can be well informed if there are still saboteurs in the system that needed to be axed or not. Most times when govt is trying to implement a positive change, some people that are benefiting from the old order will try to resist the change as much as possible and continue to drag the country backward. I have always said it that if government ministries and parastatals can function and operate the way commercial banks operate in Nigeria, there'll be improved efficiency and accountability to some extent. |

Don't let us deceive ourselves, the amalgamation of the North and South is a serious thing that shouldn't have happened. Imagine northerners launching attack against any southern president.
